This is no longer gold's gym but rather Cut Fitness. Gold's is now defunct and these are the new owners. Sign up is easy and everyone is friendly but committed. They also sell electric bikes and have quite an array on display. Future plans for a smoothie bar so this is a place that is looking to serve its customers. Access to trainers is also available but that is in addition to the subscription. Open 24 hours with card access after normal working hours. A great place to start, maintain or improve your desire for all round fitness.

shady financial practices. 7 years later and still negatively affecting my credit. I strongly suggest that you pay month to month in cash, or go somewhere else. They put me in for collection almost 5 years after my 2 year contract had ended, stating that I had never sent a letter of dissolution to their head office in order to end the contract. When I told them that I had proof that the fax had been received at the number provided, I was told that they had moved head offices, and the number had changed. I should also mention that they took payments out whenever they wanted, so make sure that you have your money in the account that they are accessing, or NSF's will become a regular monthly occurrence.

Been going to Golds Gym for awhile now but have been really impressed with the Positive Changes made by New Management. They just opened up a new coffee bar and have really good equipment options and variety without being overcrowded. If your looking for a new gym I would suggest checking out Golds Gym first????????

It is unfortunate that i have to give minimum one star. My experience with GOLD's gym is the worst by far. I have been member of YMCA, Anytime fitness, goodlife and World's gym. I know what to expect from gym. I have never seen such a terrible membership cancellation process. I had to move from Lethbridge to Kelowna because of my work but they don't have any decency or capacity to understand peoples challenges. They charge big amount ($200) as a cancellation fee and you can't cancel your account in person. You have to send it registered mail with letter to request cancellation. It takes more than month to cancel. Process is absolutely ridiculous. I would never set my foot in any gold's gym and neither let any of my friends of family do that. if you can please avoid this gym.

I'm not one to write bad reviews but I was treated HORRIBLY today at this gym. I visit Lethbridge every couple of months for a week at a time and every single time I visit Gold's and pay a drop in fee as I am not a member. That's fine, I pay it every time. Today I walked in and I stood at the front desk for a bit waiting for someone to come help me and take me drop in fee. No one comes, that's fine I'll go train and deal with it later perhaps. Had a wicked session as I always do and as I'm walking out I greeted the guy at the front desk quickly as I'm passing by because I was in a hurry. (Shoga I think is his name) we both said hey how are you. He said I noticed you were in here I said yes I was, had a good workout. He said yeah did you pay? I said oh no I didn't (i had completely forgotten about it and we were both laughing at this point) Then he said well are you gunna pay haha I'm laughing I said I'll pay tomorrow (seriously rushing out and I just thought with the 24 hour receipt policy I could pay tomorrow and it would cover me for both days) he started getting mad and said you better come pay. I came back to the counter I said I'm in a rush I stood here waiting for you to pay when I came in had you have been doing your job I would have already paid. (The lady there said the same thing) He started to get rude and said do you know what I was doing, I told him I didn't care. We went back and forth for a sec and I told him please take my money so I can go upon my day. He said no take your money and you're not welcome back here ever again I'm not dealing with this!!! EXCUSE ME???? There was a lady there this whole time (she is a personal trainer I think) I asked her to take my money because I had came in and used the facility. She was very nice and appogized for his behaviour because at this point he had stormed off after telling me I'm forever banned from Gold's. I don't really care about the $15 drop in fee more so I was pressed for time as I had places to be but to be talked to and treated like this is so uncalled for. I said to the girl why didn't he just talk to me like a normal human being rather than talking down on me like I'm some loser that is trying to look for a freebie. Anyways I'm quite upset and even if this gym offered me free drop in for the next month I will not return. I will also tell my friends who visit Lethbridge all the time to not train here. (they too pay drop in fees which in one week is a lot more than a monthly membership). Not sure what is wrong with this person but he for sure needs an attitude check especially when you're in the customer service department. There are plenty of ways to get things done and belittling a customer is definitely not one of them. I love training and I train hard as a competitor and it's too bad that I will never step foot in this gym again thanks to this incident. Never again, I will go give money to another gym that treats people as equals.

Great location and very friendly staff that bond with members. Combined with regulars, you quickly feel at home. The women's gym upstairs is a good escape to attempt and fail at planks or pelvic floor moves. ????????

Trina and Vince have exceptional customer service. I had planned to only go there for 1 month pending the reopen of ymca but 3 months later I'm still here. The no contract flexible payment option, 24hours open, monkey bar rig, power liftinng room, positive vibe environment and people amongst others are reasons that keep me there. The now have a hangout room where you can relax and enjoy protein drinks post workout.

Clean gym and ok equipment, but to cancel out of this memebership they will not accept anything but snail mail notice, and will be cancelled after 31 days of receiving it. They also have hidden charges of "maintenace fees and improvement fees" along with your reg. monthly memebership. The own of this place is a little aragont, have delt with him a couple of times and he has poor Public relation skills. would not buy into this place,

DON'T SIGN UP. DON'T GO. YOU WILL GET SCREWED OVER. I'm not one to write horrid reviews... but this place angers me. I brought 7 people to this gym, and we all signed 3 year contracts. Sadly a year into mine I left the country. A year later I answered the phone, they said there was a problem with my card, I fixed it and then said I wanted to cancel my account. but.... now... WITHOUT ANY NOTICE no email, and no phone call (because somehow my phone number isn't in their system) I now owe them $450 because they only froze my account for 4 months and never reached out to me when it restarted and when payments didn't go through. It's ridiculous. They didn't do what they were supposed to do, and I get charged. So save yourself and go literally anywhere else.

Awful experience. I incurred $150 in NSF fees due to this business and the owner wont even take the time to speak with me on my concerns. The manager told me that I could contact a lawyer if I wanted to take further action. If someone had really listed to my concerns, was accountable to their errors and apologized I would have been happy and recommended the gym...however that isn't the case. The customer service is awful and an overall bad experience.

Been going here for 10 years, equipment it ok, hasn't changed much, if you refer a friend they will bend over backwards to make sure that they dont have to give you your free month, so dont expect that ever.

I would not recommend this gym. When trying to cancel a membership they forged paperwork for a freeze instead, then continued to charge and add late fees until the bill was nearly $500. During this time no attempt at contact was made so it was assumed the membership had been canceled. They claim its because the phone number was not on the account which is not true because it was not missing previous. They also had an email address but made no attempt to send an email. This is no way to run a business.

I have tried several times to cancel my membership. No one will contact me back! I was also charged during lockdown for my membership even though the gym was closed. This gym has the worst customer service! I wouldn't even give them 1 star but I have to put one in or I can't post my review. DO NOT buy a membership here!

Worst Gym Ever. They lure you in with awesome lies but pretty much take you for everything if you ever want to cancel. I'm in a gym right now, because I don't live close to any golds gym anymore and was told when I moved that I could just call and cancel and that would be fine. Too bad I signed that contract they told me was just a formality because I was locked in for a year when I flat out told them I would be moving soon. It has been 4 months since I told them to take that 200 dollar penalty as I was no longer interested in dealing with them and they still haven't cancelled it. Absolute Joke, run by the absolute WORST management team. The only positive is that it's a pretty decently kept facility and that it's usually pretty dead (although that's mostly because nobody in their right mind would ever go here). Don't fall for it, don't go here! go the the YMCA... now THEY know how to treat people.

Not as clean as it used to be, especially the bathrooms. The free one hour personal training session was 20 minutes of training and 40 minutes of sales pitch for "real" personal training at $100 per hour. Broken equipment goes unfixed for months. The above items were not a deal breaker, but the last time I was there I was stared down by 'roid boys and that made me feel unsafe. So I didn't go back for months. Went in today and cancelled my membership. Predatory terms say I have to pay for another month of service that I won't use. My advice. Don't go here and don't *ever* sign a contract here. There are newer, friendlier places with better equipment and helpful staff.

They can sign you up for 3 years in an instant to a binding contract. However, once you want out after your contract is done there is no one locally that wants anything to do with you. They tell you to visit the website only to find out that you need to compose a nicely worded letter (no form provided) that you then send by REGISTERED mail to the gym... that's right, the gym you go to several times a week... wouldn't make sense to drop it off in person right? This is from the website: "Cancellations are not valid through email/fax/drop off/phone message/verbal communication" ... not really making this easy... Once it gets there and is processed you wait another 31 days until they actually stop charging your account. On top of that, they recently closed for renos for 2 weeks and still charged everyone for a full month even though they were closed. When asked about reducing monthly fees that month they replied that the contract that you signed into allows them to do so... pretty greasy. Poor business practices and lack of respect for their customers. I am very disappointed since I have been going here for several years. I will not be recommending this gym to anyone.

STAY AWAY! Horribly managed, the worst customer service I've ever experienced. I will never go back. 1 star for a clean and organized facilities. Staff (not the manager) were polite and friendly. My full post I put on Facebook: PSA to my fitness peeps of Lethbridge...STAY AWAY FROM GOLD'S GYM LETHBRIDGE! During this morning's workout I was approached by staff and told to stop deadlifting as I was doing it "too loudly". When I asked for clarification as I was not dropping or throwing the bar, nor was I grunting or shouting. I was told I was simply making too much noise. Before I ever trained at Gold's I spoke to the manager and specifically asked if deadlifting was permitted as there was no designated area. He showed me where I could deadlift and he said -of course I could deadlift as long as I wasn't unnecessarily dropping or throwing the bar! This is the first time I've ever been told I was deadlifting too loudly. I've trained at several other facilities, I have good form, I respect the equipment and other members around me. I also did the exact same deadlifting routine at Gold's the previous week, same day, same time, with no issue. Sure, plates make noise when they return to start position, this is normal and not "unnecessary noise" when deadlifting. Hence the reason I asked about deadlifting in the first place. This very morning I purchased a $150 pass. When (45 minutes later) I asked for a refund, staff told me they could not authorize this and I would have see the manager. I returned at 11 when the manager would be there, but was turned away again as I was told he called in sick and would not be in until 4 but wanted he wanted to talk to me to see if we could work something out. I went back to Gold's at 4, asked for the manager and gave my name. A staff member I'd never seen appeared and wordlessly began the process of the refund. Confused, I asked where the manager was and was told he was in Calgary and been there since the weekend. This is the worst customer service I've ever experienced. My previous 3 visits to Gold's were pleasant. The staff and members were friendly and the facility clean and organized which makes the fact that I felt so disrespected extra disappointing. Shame on you Gold' Gym Management! If you're looking for a Lethbridge gym that treats you with respect, from personal experience I can recommend @impact personal training facility, @lethbridge fitness and I've also heard great reviews of @anytime

Golds gym is absolutely awful. They have contracts that lock you in and then when you want to cancel you need to pay money for registered mail. They make it difficult and complicated to cancel. The staff does not inform you of any of this and does not tell you it takes about ten business days for this mail to get to golds and to be signed. Also, their staff cannot take payments so you are charged for giving your information late when it is not your fault. If you want to save money and have the same type of equipment then do not go to golds gym. I would never go again or recommend it .

There is a certain way that you can and cannot treat people. I was absolutely shocked by how terribly I was treated yesterday. I have been a member of the gym for seven years and was treated like absolute garbage. I was bulled, belittled, and verbally abused. Is this the new Gold's experience? Belittling loyal clients? According to the Customer Service Representative it is.

Well these guys really know how to screw there customers over, even the great ones. I referred 8 other people to this gym thinking it was a great place. By referring those 8 people I should have had my payments covered for 17 months by golds due to there referral program. That was a lie of course it took them 4 months and a BBB complaint before they would take over the payments. I go to cancel as I signed a 1 year contract in 2013 July so everything Is far and done by June of 2015. No it turns out my contract isn't done until January of 2016 that doesn't make any sense. After dealing with Rawad through email about this I tried to go to the gym and talk to him, but he's never in the gym on weekdays and has weekends off. The customer service he gives to people is downright pathetic if he's never at his place of business. Emailing with him would go nowhere and you can't call the guy up ethier. I ended up paying 220$ to cancel and get out of that mess. They also closed the gym for 3 weeks straight and didn't refund any member for being closed that long ( CROOKS). Equipment is good but sence the management has changed in December the staff have become less inviting and hardly welcome you. Cardio machines are often broken. The gym is always dirty never seems like the employees clean. Will not be returning to golds Lethbridge.
