I have been told not to come back to the owners clubs, which includes this one and many in the GTA, becasue I wrote a review on the planet fitness site expressing how upset I am about the change of hours. The manager, Roy, stated that I have not come into this location since I started my membership back in 2018 and that there is no proof that I've been there when I clearly have on multiple occations. Now I received an email stating my membership has been cancelled with a forged signature. I have not been in this location this week nor have I talked to anyone physically to cancel my membership. I think its appaling that the owner and Roy think they can bully someone and cancel their membership because they expressed frustration over a change of hours. Definitely calling head office and filing a complaint with the bbb. The customer service here is appaling

This location has no customer service. I cancelled my membership because I moved to a new city. Once settled in, I rejoined and was charged another annual fee within 2 months even though I was told it would not be charged until Feb 2020. When I called I was told I had to speak with the Manager in person. I travelled to the location and asked to speak with the Manager (they forced my hand! :)) Once there, the Manager refused to come out, and the reps behind the counter argued about who would handle us. lol. Then of course, they said they can't do a thing. So I cancelled on the spot and so did my boyfriend. Not going back to PF and will no longer be spreading their good word. They'd rather bill $50 today than $25/month all year long.

The gym is well equipped with circuit machines. There are some free weights and smith machines. I haven't attended a guided class yet but the fact that those are included in the basic membership is wonderful. The amenities for "black card members" are hydro massage beds, tanning, and a beauty bed. I am very fond for the hydro-massage beds on cold winter days. The most important thing is that the gym is really, really clean. There's always someone cleaning, and the people who use the cardio equipment are always good to wipe down their machines. The atmosphere is polite, no one bothers anyone. From the different times I have visited, there seems to be a consistent amount of people there.

It’s a clean new gym, friendly staff, it’s what you’d expect. However, for an affordable $15 a month gym, it somehow racks up over $100 in extra membership, signup and annual fees within a month. Just don’t expect it to be as affordable as you might at first think it is.

It's a Planet Fitness, so if you accept what that means (no racks or barbells, limited weights) - this is a good location. It's never so busy that you won't be able to get a full workout in. The patrons are respectable here, pretty good about cleaning machines.

I'm. Actually very impressed with this gym. For 10 bucks a month, it's incredible. It's probably also the cleanest gym I've been to. The employees literally walk around at least 3 times in the time period of me working out to clean the place. It may get annoying, but hey, it's clean! They have all thr equipment I need - weights, cable machines, resistance ropes, trx, ropes, and a few different work out rooms. Tanning bed for those who want this service and infrared muscle jiggling machine (not sure whag it's called, supposed to assist in muscle healing although I call Bs) which is included in the 20$ membership , which also gives u access to Every other planet fitness. Clean showers. (it could use more showers /change rooms,) I come early mornings and get a decent workout, but after 5 it's nuts in here

Great place to go in and and a quick hydro message. Or use their tanning beds. All workout equipments are always clean and functional. No equipment are broken or misused. People keep to themselves while working out. No attitude present there at all. Staff is young people who totally take care of the business there. With a black card bring as many guests as you want. But only one guest each visit. Showers are always clean. Locker room does not smell there.

Good choice for an affordable gym, service is good if you consider what you are paying for. The staff is nice but at least you are sign up for a class they are not able to help you to much. The classes are mostly to show the use of the machines, so if you need a routine you need to make an appointment with a person so they can help you with that. The installations I found them I good condition, I never saw a machine out of order and if for some reason was, was taken care of very quickly. I love the VIP service, is nice to be able to relax after the work out in the massage chairs or if you want they have the tanning beds as well. In my opinion, even if you pay the extra fee for the VIP service and you don't want to do exercise, going to use the tanning bed once a week you have your money back. Only problem is that sometimes parking in front of the gym is a little bit complicated, because they share the place with other stores, you may find yourself parking in front of other businesses, that is not a problem if is before or after the business hours.

GO TO GOODLIFE OR HONESTLY ANY OTHER GYM BUT THIS ONE. Absolutely disgusting service and management. They are money hungry, beware. I have had to deal with over $250 of charges and payments in the last couple of months due to double charges and overlimit fees all because I trusted their “manager” if he even was one. I had to stay there today for OVER AN HOUR AND A HALF. I brought in physical statements for them to see as well. They started out with saying “oh we can’t see the extra charges” (that were put on my credit card) and after sitting there for 35 minutes waiting for bmo to get an account number and asking to confirm if the charges are on the statements. The so called manager then gives me the phone of some random also saying “oh we don’t see the credit card charges”. After a whole hour and 35 minutes the manager gets me to sit down just to tell me to call bmo AGAIN AND GET THEM TO DEAL WITH IT. They even still took the annual payment for the next 12 months of $45 and closer my account with forging a fake signature, I swear that is illegal. Oh and also, they had staff( they stated it was a male) who lied saying I swore on the phone while when I called I dealt with a female. Completely unprofessional service and management. Didn’t even compensate me for everything I had and still have to deal with; they are just MONEY HUNGRY. Now I have to go waste more of my day calling bmo to get them to contact planet fitness. Now after speaking with BMO they said the manager of planet fitness has to call them because THE BANK DOESNT CALL; I’m currently waiting to see if the dispute department can do anything so I don’t have to go back to planet fitness to get the manager to call like HE SHOULD OF IN THE FIRST PLACE. Worst experience I have ever had to deal with, it’s like the management has no idea what they are doing. That manager(Roy) also has other bad reviews of being disrespectful if you look through the reviews.

My workouts at Planet Fitness have been above standard. At other gyms in the past, I've sort of wandered around, not sure how to get the most out of my time working out. Also, having around 15 different t.v. screens to watch while doing Cardio on the Elliptical or bikes helps the hour go by, helps one burn more calories. And there is a whole room just for abdominal work. Wow! My favorite gym by far. Highly recommended ❤

They was trying to recover $40.95 Annual Membership fee that they requested but refuted because they didn't take down correct, accurate billing information on there end. Nowhere to talk to Member Services department on the Corporate side until I talked to someone who is an investors client of theirs. They don't like to admit fault when it comes to billing errors and that stems from the Gym manager all the way to the Regional Manager. Cancelled them on September 26th, 2018 and never looked back on it. There marketing is very, very sketchy at best when they say "No Commitment."

Seems to be a great gym. Granted, they've only been in this town for about a week, but I really enjoy going here, compared to the other gyms in town. I have a memebership here and a membership at LA fitness in this similar location. Planet fitness is way cleaner and always organized. Staff is hard working and there is always someone to assist if needed. Tanning beds and massage chairs are awesome and brand new. For 20$ a month, (compared to the steal i got at LA for 35$ a month) planet fitness is such a better deal! Overall I like the layout better aswell.

Great gym. Lots of space and new equipment. I go with my girlfriend with her membership as a guest. Great price for the amenities. Showers are large, clean, temperature adjustable, free and private. Lockers are large and free, but BYOL. I'm told the tanning rooms are nice and clean and work great, however they are not open to guests so can't confirm. Nice atmosphere, like the motto of no judgement. Wish there was access to a large free-floating barbell for bench press and squats. There are a pair of Smith Machines, but I find them limiting and uncomfortable to use.

I have been to a few of their locations.. but i like this one best.. it really is super busy during peak times.. but if you go during off hours it is great... please bare in mind they dont have all the same equipment that some of the other gyms have.. but you can have just as an effective workout here.. just have to be creative.. Was little disappointed with selection of equipment. Overall it is a decent place for people who workout alone. Staff seem friendly, however the overnight staff seem to leave alot of empty paper towel for the day shift to do it. No tour offered when I signed up, so learned as I went. To date, still not sure if a personal trainer actually exists. Referring new members should offer both parties a reward, but nothing. Overall price is reasonable for what you get.

Very disappointed in the way planet fitness staff approached my boyfriend and I today. It was my second day at planet fitness after finally working up the confidence to go, a staff member asked us to leave in the middle of a workout as my boyfriend was wearing open toed footwear. He could have advised us of the rule to wear proper footwear for the next time instead of rudely telling us to leave immediately mid workout. We have canceled our memberships and will not be returning.

This place is spotless 4. The environment is actually judge free as they advertise so not intimidating for first time goers 5. The price is only $10 or $20 a month!! Came in in November/December to speak to someone about freezing my account temporarily. They said it’s frozen and I’m good to go. I can reactivate by coming in. The next month account was billed. Came in again in February after travelling to speak to someone else, he knew the exact girl I was speaking to the first time and said she didn’t know what she was doing anyways but the account was not frozen. He said he also took care of it. Finally, came in today and the guy at the counter named Roy was extremely rude. I explained the history, and he said because it didn’t show up on the screen, I was lying about my two experiences before. I ended up putting a stop payment at the bank because apparently they don’t freeze accounts unless you’re pregnant. Anyways, disgusting customer service. Roy was so rude that I instead of fighting with him and swooping to his level of rudeness, I paid off the balance (even though I was told twice that it was frozen and should be compensated for that money I lost) and closed my account. Go to a different location, Roy Singh is disgustingly rude. *EDIT* the exact dates I came in for freezing account was January 12th and March 8th. Roy Singh today has called me personally and left a voicemail saying he will serve me for slander lol. I remember reading someone else’s review where he called the cops on the customer. If a reviews based on customer experience is “slander”, why are they made allowed? Pathetic.

Never a day you don’t enter and the staff are cleaning. Cleanest Planet Fitness I ever been to. Majority of the staff are friendly. Nothing is ever broken and if is, fixed right away. Greatest bang for your buck is the black card. The spa part is pretty awesome. Love the hydro lounge!! Keep up the great work!

Gym membership is 9.99 a month and you get free pizza&bagel once a month. You can't go wrong with that. Clean gym. Ventilation is good but there are still some people with unbearable BO. Only downside is that there are no free bars for Bench Press, Squat, or Deadlift. Instead Smith Machines are available.

I haven't signed up for a membership yet but it is on my to-do list! I had a tour and the gym is well stocked, well lit and they really care about their customers. The cost is extremely reasonable for all the perks you get (tanning, massage beds/chairs, classes). Definitely would recommend!

I've been to all the PF's in Winnipeg. As for social distancing, that ain't happening here! The cable weights and free weights area was packed. About 49 people in a 40x4o foot area. And haven't seen any staff walking around at all here. Just at the counter and spa.

When me and my buddy came in for the first time we were quickly greeted. The gym was very clean and everyone was very friendly, even the people working out (no one was giving dirty looks either). Ken gave us a tour of the gym after we told him we wanted to get a membership. He went through everything with us in a polite and funny manor. He answered all our questions and cracked a few good jokes too. He showed us the tanning salon and massage chairs (which we got to test out too). Cant wait to start my first day at the gym!! thanks guys for your help and friendly staff keep up the great work. Very pleased so far.

I have purchased a black card membership at the presale and today was my first workout. The facility is so spacious and was treated by happy, energetic staff. They provided an orientation ..answering all my many questions. The bathrooms lockers are wonderful and very spacious. The machines and workout stations are numerous and very good explanations on how they work. There are specific areas to stretch so no walking over people. The massage beds and tanning is like walking into a spa setting. Love it as it is sooo calming. I can not wait to sign up on the many classes being offered.

The staff here are great I have had negative experiences with OTHER fitness clubs in nanaimo but I would say nothing bad about planet fitness the atmosphere is inclusive and they stick by their non judgmental policy. There is great value in what little it costs to join. Definitely worth checking out you can sign up for a free day pass online or in person and the awesome staff will give you a tour and let you try out the facilities.

Staff are friendly, place is clean, hours are great. I joined with indoor cycling in mind as part of my goal. I’ve been here 3 months. Never have all the cycling machines been working. The excuse is that customers are breaking them by riding them like spin bikes. Unless there is a group of high intensity people here between .12am to 6am, I’ve never witnessed this. I have met the guy who fixes them...goldmine for him. We complain, no action. I wrote a letter to management, not even the courtesy to acknowledge my letter which was written in a constructive manner. Today was the worst. Every single upright and recumbent bike was ‘out of service’. I will not be endorsing this gym any longer. C’mon people, get some basic bikes like I have seen working at every other gym that I’ve been to.

I bought a membership in early January as PF was offering a promotional membership for $10/mo. At this price, you can't go wrong. Access to the locker rooms and showers which are kept very clean and brand new machines and dumbbells. The gym is geared towards those just starting their fitness but there are some hard weight lifters. This being said, most people are on the treadmills and bikes so if you lift weights, you typically don't have to wait long if at all for a station. Friendly staff and patrons too! There is a yearly fee paid every march but it's only $40. Great alternative to more expensive gyms in the area such as LA or Wynn Fitness. Highly recommend.

If you’ve been around weights and working out military etc , this place is a joke no free bars no weights above 75s this place is a living and breathing disgrace to the fitness community if you go in on a Monday on the second week of every month they hand out pizza like it’s protein bars , you got people walking. On a treadmill with a slice of pizza in one hand and a sugar loaded Gatorade in the other, this gym is not promoting fitness but instead promoting laziness in my professional opinion they would have to pay me to workout here because I wouldn’t be creating any fitness goals and instead would be losing them with the overrated massage chairs and buckets full of sugary tootsie rolls at the front along with the useless gym staff guarantee you’ll be putting on all the extra weight you desire instead of losing it ????.

After being a member at the Pembina location for 2 months, here is what I have learned; The no shame, no judgment, no "string muscle shirt and 4L water jug", and equal space is non existent. Daily I see women wearing essentially a bra with a 4 year old shirt over top that's stretched and worn to nearly falling apart. Underwear out and just... Texting... While on machines. Grown men wearing muscle shirts that would fit a highschooler taking 3 to 4 machines at a time for their "routines". Overcrowding of the rack area and squat racks for most people just using them to hang a towel while they lift a single free weight and face the mirror. Lack of employee support has let this location become everything they advertise against. Between myself going 4 to 5 times a week for two months, my wife going sparingly, and two Co workers that have recently cancelled their memberships due to this. I can say whole heartedly, this is not what was advertised. The showers in the men's side have mold in the lowest corners of the stalls, the toilet stalls are nearly identical. Mold, buildup of dirt and yellowing dust, and garbage. One thing that's done well is the general maintenance of the lockers. All in working order and usually cleaned out. The Black room couches are often filled with sleeping elderly or kids whom have been given free passes for the summer. The machines are clean and good order, I've yet to go two days in a row and see the same machine down on a row. The staff are friendly and always welcome and bid farewell with an excited tone. Always have answer, always keen to scan you in and get you on your way. Frequently they are seen cleaning and signing new members. Overall, the buissness end runs well. The cleanliness is something to be desired in the washrooms. Wear something on your feet, don't touch the walls, don't put your soap on the ledge... Ew. The saddest part of all though is the complete lack of care to enforce the rules of comfort and removing the intimidation of the over zealous and underdressed. Too many time am I locked out from free weights as 5 or 6 people hoard the weights or sand directly in front to prevent use. Too many times are multiple machines taken by a single user for 15 maybe 20 minutes long. And too many times am I stared down at or bothered by women wearing a bra and a napkin or a man wearing a child's dirty muscle shirt and basketball shorts meant for someone much shorter. Pick it up Planet Fitness, you guys can and should do better.

When you first start, they ask you for both debit and credit information. Debit is for regular fees and credit is for late fees. They don’t explain about this information. Although I went to the gym in person and double checked that my information had been correct, I found out that, for 4 months, my debit information was blank and have been charged 2.5 times more than I should have been charged. I found this out myself looking into my transaction history and never was I informed. Of course they said no refunds about the late fee. Just as all the typical gyms, watch out for hidden and subtle fees. Even though they can successfully use your credit card, they don’t and charge you extra for being “late”.

Gym for some people like me is not only the place where you go to work out, it's like a second home where you want to go after daily routine, very disappoint of PF when today I came with wife and daughter to work out (they are no members just I have the membership) and they won't allow me to come with 2 guests, I had already came here with one at the time, but for the first time we had the opportunity to come together but oh surprise they won't let us in, we asked for any other option like a day courtesy pass but they dont have that, we asked to the guy at the front desk for any other option like pay the day and he said that's $22 for one day, that what I pay monthly it doesn't make any sense for me, I used to go to Good Life and for situations like that's they just say go ahead just for this time for your loyalty, that's what I expect of a gym. So long PF this place is not for me

Would get a 5 star however I joined for the no judgement/no grunting /no slamming weights and that just doesn't happen here. Lunk alarm has never gone off on the 3 months I have been there. Over all my issues arent with the faculty itself just staff not implementing planet fitnesses promises.

Love this place. All the staff is super cool, super helpful, and super chill. I mainly come during the night time, anywhere between 9 - 1. Always get great service from the night shift people.

This gym is good in terms of equipment, however it baffles me that a gym of such stature (judging by equipment,they are definitely well funded)how do they not have free weights,like how's one supposed to lose weight/gain muscle without any free weights??also why do the dumbbells only go to 75lbs?? definitely would never recommend this to anyone whose serious about fitness

I've been to a couple of locations and this one by far is the best. Big space, lots of equipment and variety to choose from, and less crowded. The bathrooms are clean and have shower caddies which the other locations didnt (don't have to put my stuff on the shower ground). This location has the hip abductor machines which I found that some of the other locations didnt. It's very affordable and I like how the black card membership allows you to bring a guest in for free. Also comes with massages - a good way to end a workout ! I recommend planet fitness for value, customer service, and their judgement-free atmosphere.

Been to this gym it features crowded equipment, poor layout, gawdy pink and purple colours, (hello the 1970's called and they said they want their decorum back) and rude, ignorant staff. Pass, Dismissed!

Good amount of machines. Staff is nice. The washrooms are disgusting. Every time I go, it smells like they haven't been cleaned in a month. I get that it's a gym....but it's seriously disgusting. The staff member who signed me up boasted about how often washrooms are cleaned. I don't think so.

The moment I walked in . ( first time ) I was welcomed by I think manager or supervisor . He was extremely annoyed showing me aroun d, with no smile on his face calling me bro every second word . You don't call your customers bro , specially not the one that just came for the first time . TOTALLY unprofessional ! All I want to do that day ,was train and just feel the vibe of the gym.He was trying to convince me to join right away . YOU DONT DO THAT ! You let people see the gym let them train and then you can ask them how did you like it ? And so on .... Anyhow they said I can train but I need to pay 20$ plus they took my picture , my phone number and my email . Your future potential customer is coming too see the gym and you charge him 20$ for the first time ? With everything what happen with this guy that was the last drop for me . Definetly not coming back !

Cheap, brand new machines, friendly staff. I would recommend it for anyone wanting to go to the gym as long as they aren't upset that there is no free weight bench presses, but there is cable bench press machines

You will not find a gym of this quality for the price. PERIOD. If you're a beginner to the gym and looking for a cheap gym to get you started, this is THE PERFECT gym for you! If you're a meathead like myself you may find yourself doing different kinds of workouts as this gym is not mean't for bodybuilders. NO barbells, the dumbells only go to 75lbs and you're not supposed to wear stringers (they don't really enforce it though) With that said it's the cleanest gym with the friendliest staff I've ever been to. Would reccomend to anyone & everyone, especially for $10/month.

I need to cancel my membership due to the high number of covid cases. They told me I have to come into the store to cancel it. I’m immunocomprimised so me coming in right now could be fatal. If you actually care about your members health and safety, let them cancel over the phone.

I went to check the gym this morning, but ended up very disappointed. I was toured by a staff named April, she is unfriendly and wasn't willing to help when I had to sign up online to get a free pass to try the gym. I asked her how can I get it online because it doesn't say anything on the website, she just gave me the answer "I don't know", and didn't ask her co-workers or anybody to help. I was un happy with what she showed, but still tried to look for it on my phone. After 3 mins or so, I told her, okay I don't see anything on here to show me that I could get a free pass. At that time she got off the chair and went ask for help.. Now I understand why their membership is only $21.99/ per month.????????????

Great community! I have felt no judgement and nobody has been rude to me. The staff are always friendly and helpful, the gym is kept clean, the equipment is all in good condition. The only downside I've found is that there isn't much space for circuits or bodyweight exercises, most of the gym is taken up by machines.
