BodyVision is affordable and had all the equipment I needed. I ended up switching to LA Fitness because I moved, but cancelling my membership with BV was very quick and easy unlike my past experiences with GoodLife. BV has WiFi and also has unique things to do like ping pong, steaming room, punching bag, etc.

Great experience. I've been a member of Body Vision for about 2 years, wish my training could be more consistent but that's how life can be... They've officially relocated to their newly renovated, upscale, trendy and large space. (Approx 20,000 sq. ft.) This is the most affordable gym in town, believe me I've shopped around!!! This gym is for you whether or not you know how to workout on your own, there are a few certified trainers who can offer personal training and advise as well as group classes! They offer numerous cardio options including treadmills, stair climbers, bicycles, spinning. A wide array of weight machines for every muscle. A free weight area with 2 smith machines, 4 squat racks, 2 barbell racks (straight and easy bar), large dumb bell rack and more... The service here has been extremely welcoming and hospitable since day 1, trainers are friendly and motivational! I'm truly glad I found Body Vision or else I'd still be paying triple their cost for a gym membership

Awesome gym. The price is amazing and the facility is super clean and has a great atmosphere, I workout there almost everyday! Change rooms are VERY nice and come with a steam room as well. I honestly don't know why anyone would choose goodlife or some of the more expensive places (unless they need certain amenities it may have) when they can pay for this gym.

Where do I start, this gym is what I think about when I think of the perfect gym. It started with the location and excellent. It quickly moved to the awesome energy and knowledge that you get from the trainers here, they are eager to help and willing to take time with you. Also they understand what you are striving for and they WILL get you there and further, while having fun. The classes are intense for every level athlete, and you will love the diverse workout combinations. All the staff members are friendly and welcoming everytime you walk through the doors. Very clean modern facility. I will definitely be recommending Body Vision Fitness to all my friends family and co-workers.

The pricing at this gym, combined with the amount of equipment available can't be beat. Since the pricing is so low, it's often pretty busy, with a lot of teenagers that can be somewhat disruptive to your workout. I would highly recommend this place regardless, as I rarely have to wait for a squat rack or bench despite how busy it gets, and a few annoying patrons isn't a huge deal.

Equipment is comparable if not better than any other commercial gym. Membership cost is low for the quality and space that is offered. I always see staff cleaning to ensure the workout environment is safe during these unprecedented times. I've been a longtime member and impressed with their continuous upgrades. This is a "mom and pop" extablishment, so staff and owners really care about the wellbeing and experience of everyone.

This is a great gym. There's a wide variety of equipment and there's an abundance of benches and squat racks. This gym includes towel service, has showers and is well maintained with its equipment and cleanliness. Edit: Big changes were made to Body Vision during the lockdown. New squat racks are placed in the previous free room; machines placed in previous yoga/table tennis room. Not to mention the new power sleds + carpet!

The best gym you'll go to for the price. Sort of small and can get crazy during its peak hours but overall really nice. The air can get VERY muggy in there, and the wifi is quite bad, too. Sometimes it can take a while for them to fix things (equipment, AC, water fountain, etc.), but the staff are EXTREMELY nice. Highly recommend.

Good independent gym in Richmond Hill, that's owned and operated by a local. Low monthly membership fees and the gym is pretty big. Lots of machines and they even offer group fitness classes. Great choice if you're close to Hillcrest Mall.

first off, i want to say that this is the BEST gym i have ever been too. i went to goodlife across the street and hated it. great space, great equipment (up to date) and a huge free weight area with two deadlift platforms!!! great thing is, not a lot of gyms have one! the staff is also incredible, would definitely recommend signing up!

This is a very decent gym, it's not the typical franchise gym branch, hence a bit smaller and some of the equipment are a bit older. But everything is in very good working condition. It's very clean both in the locker room and in the main area. The staff here are the best to say the least. Very nice and helpful team.

Its a good gym but all summer their AC was broken and the air is just hot and damp. The changerooms are nice but they have dim lightning which is a disadvantage especially if you want to see you gains. The hot damp air honestly was a pain I could never finish my workouts because it was just too hot. I wouldn't want to continue my membership because of this. I would rather go somewhere where I can easily workout without having to worry about the temperature. I hope the management listens to these feedbacks!

Great gym for almost anything. Powerlifting supplies here are short but it seems to be improving little by little. Staff and owner are great. Much more prefered over Goodlife and Anytime Fitness in my opinion.

Great clean gym with excellent selection of machines (especially if your coming from Goodlife across the street). If you enjoy going at non-peak hours you will love it as it is very empty. Washroom area is cleaner then you'd be used to at a gym which is nice. Staff are friendly but mostly tuned out. Towels have been smelling literally like balls lately, so your not missing much if you don't have towel service. *upgraded my review to 5 stars - unfriendly staff members long gone and so are towel issues

Been with these guys since the start. If you want to make a friend, then get a dog. However, if you want a gym, to do your thing after a long day where everything works and no one hassles you, then this is your place. Clean, efficient and if you need advise like training, it's there for you to ask. Can't ask for more!. For these reasons, these guys are the best for me. Plus ample free parking.

It's an affordable gym so that's a plus. My huge hang up about this gym is that no one who goes to this gym has any etiquette on the weight floor. There's always weights left on the bars at the deadlifting area (sometimes also on the squat racks) and even the people that work there don't encourage their members to unrack their bars after use. Also there's only four 10lbs bumper plates and literally ONE 35lbs bar for the ladies so if you need those plates or that bar and its busy you're out of luck. There's a good number of cardio machines and weight machines. Wish there were rowing machines though. Overall not bad for the price but be prepared for some of the issues I mentioned.

This is an AWSOME Gym... it’s really sad to see people being so picky and petty with their reviews and ratings. Firstly, like the website says, the staff is very friendly and really take the time to get to know you, even by your first name. I’ve engaged in many conversations with them and it was always a cool interaction. They seem very genuine and nice and I’m sure I don’t come across too weird for them to continue to interact with me. Secondly, when I’m at the gym, I always have a good time working out. I don’t pay too much attention to who is related to who, I don’t stand there and stare at the ping pong room and I don’t count how many medicine balls were thrown on any given day! Lastly, this gym very much deserves the 5 stars I’m giving it, Wifi Extender or no Wifi Extender! ????????

I really like Bodyvision Fitness. It's a great gym that's clean, has most of the equipment you really need, ample parking, and great membership rates. Most members are generally very nice, even the owner Tenzin came over to give me a spot one time when he saw me having a hard time w/ my final set on the bench and gave me a pat on the shoulder after grinding out the last rep (+1 for a positive member experience). Plenty of upsides to this gym, but leaving 4 stars because there are three downsides for me in particular that I hope this gym could improve on that would make it a full 5 stars. Firstly, the staff generally keep to themselves so you don't really get to know them on a personal level even though the website says they get to know you by name (they really don't). I have always gotten to know staff and members at my previous gyms and anywhere I go, but none of the staff here really seem interested to get to know you or bother talking to you at all unless you're doing personal training or playing ping pong with them. Secondly, some members who are apparently related to the staff I've noticed can be a bit obnoxious at times and act like they run the place, at times even pretending to be staff when they're not, or doing questionable things like throwing exercise balls at each other for fun while other members are working out nearby. I've seen this happen on two occasions, and while it's not something that happens regularly, it just takes one bad bounce or throw for this type of behaviour to be extremely dangerous for other members who are lifting weights in the area. Thirdly, the wifi is pretty bad and barely working when you get to the weights section of the gym but pretty decent when you're close to front desk. Hopefully this could be addressed at some point, perhaps with a wifi range extender or something, but during the two years that I've been here it's been pretty much the same slow or nonexistent wifi. Unless this is addressed at some point in the future, hopefully you have a good data plan that can get you through those tough workouts. While it might seem like I'm pointing out a lot of negatives at Bodyvision, it actually is a great gym. Overall, this place is fantastic, and these points that I've mentioned to be easily overcome by management should they decide to do so. If you are looking for a gym and considering Bodyvision, I would tell you to just do it, you'll enjoy it here. I would recommend this gym to friends and family and plan to stay at this gym for as long as I'm in the area. PS. I'll change this to 5 star if the wifi gets better! :P EDIT: As promised, I have changed my review from 4 stars to 5 stars after the owner read this review and took immediate steps to fix the internet issues! :)

I've been coming here since December and the staff have always been really warm and welcoming, however today, I was extremely disappointed with the miscommunication from staff. I called in the morning to ask how much a single month's membership would be, and she told me it's usually $59 but could give me $35 since I've been there for a while and it was just one more month. I was really appreciative and thanked her, and she got my name and said she put a note in my account so I could pay when I came later. However, when I came in to pay the $35, I was told they cannot honour it because she did not have the authorization to give me that price. And honestly, I didn't think I needed to care who was the manager of who because I was told $35 and assumed I could trust that. While I understand it is not in the written policy, I was explicitly told it the exception could be made for me for just the one month. I showed up ready to pay, then was blindsided by the sudden increase it to $59 once I got there. I wish they could have told me that on the phone, or have just honoured their direct verbal agreement. I appreciate that the lady at the reception tried to help and offer $49 instead, but that doesn't change the inconsistency in communication and how I got direct verbal confirmation. It's not about the $14 difference, but really the frustration of not having the expected agreement honoured and it feels unfair to have showed up just to be told something different, then be brushed from one employee to another because it was busy.

Solid gym, equipment and very solid rates. You get what you pay for, theres a few frills, relatively well mainained, but at $20 a month what else can you ask for? Bumper plates, deadlift stands and non-pushy personal trainers are why I'd def recommend this gym. Probably one of the best gyms bang for your buck whether you're powerlifting or doing a cardio circuit.

This gym first thought this group of friends bullying me was me making up things and seeing things and hearing things. They did not investigate my issue and thought I was crazy. After reviewing surveillance records, my claims prove true. Then I cancelled the gym membership a month ago which cost me $99 which is no fault to my own. They dared charge me again. I went in today to fix the issue. The receptionist who was sitting and saw me cancelled dare to have the audacity to say there were no records of me cancelling. She was literally right there. I can only say you get what you pay for $35 a month and you get incapable and incompetent management and staff. You also get crazy members and low lives who like to bully people. I have been to Goodlife, LA Fitness, even ultra high end gyms like Equinox and Mayfair Club. Never, have I ever had this experience. Avoid this gym at all costs.

So I have to start this review off by saying that I move around a lot, so I change gyms a lot too. I used to be a member at body vision when they had their old location by 16th and leslie. That location was alright but the new one is great! I just signed up at the new location in the summer and I have to same I'm pretty impressed. It's not the biggest gym and they may not have a pool but it's one of those gym that don't have all the bells and whistles. It's a great place to get a quick work out in. The thing I love most about this place is the environment. There is no gymdimidation so its great for beginners, the staff is always super friendly and the clients are always very respectful to others and to the gym equipment. I've been a member of LA fitness and good life but I would pick body vision over them any day! PS with the price that they charge you really can't go wrong.

Form the time I walked through the door I was greeted with courtesy and professionalism I can also see form the reception area how clean, hightech and modern this facility is. I was given a few trail workout and advise how to achieve my goals with NO pressure to buy or sign up for membership. As a member now I achieved all my goals in a short period of time and continue to maintain it with the help of trainers and the owner Tenzin, the support of the staff and gym members. I was a long-time member of Good Life across the street, but this summer I decided to try Body Vision and I am so glad I made the switch! At Good Life the cancellation fee for a two-month summer membership was double the cost - $99, versus $49. I was also annoyed that even as a returning member I would be hassled and made to do a 90-minute "orientation" because my membership had lapsed. At Body Vision I was not hassled at all (even as a new member - no requirement to do any sort of orientation), the entire facility is only 1.5 years old and the equipment is exactly the same as what I was using across the street. The bottom line - if you want a low cost, low hassle, new high quality gym, this is it. I will add, it is very clean and very roomy - I don't often have to wait for any equipment. Finally - they offer free Wi-Fi. I have two young kids in daycare, so the fact that they can reach me if there is an emergency is very important to me. At Good Life I could never get reception and no Wi-Fi was provided. Did I mention they also have ping-pong tables? Don't hesitate - this gym is a gem! P.S. I am not interested in additional services, ie. personal trainer, but they do offer the same extras you are likely to find anywhere else, and at a fair price.

Body Vision has great equipment and the environment is perfect for getting in a workout. They recently updated their equipment so there's no worrying about bad machines ruining your day. The space is always clean and the atmosphere feels right for a gym. Can't argue about the price either.

My feedback after an initial site visit: Recently, I went in to get a tour and possibly a membership. I must say, I was very disappointed. There is an unbearable smell when you walk down to the underground gym, which I am never a fan of, as the air can get heavy and mold buildup is more likely. The reception was busy talking with I am assuming a friend in the counter so I waited..and waited before my turn. The tour was very quick and you can tell the reception had zero knowledge of gym equipment and amenities, including classes offered. The washroom was very messy and again smelly, sorry but if you don't believe me, have a sniff yourself. Weights everywhere on the ground. Water dispenser not working! Music was not playing but reception kept saying we play good music lol. Gym does have wifi, but I did not try to connect. So finally, we started talking about price, a big board said promotional offer with no hidden fees, after long negotiating and once I got curious as to what is final amount to pay, I was told there is a sign up fee! I asked to speak with a manager and was told they're not available. Okay? Absolutely appalling and unacceptable. I will be reporting this to the better business bureau, for false advertising and I feel very sorry for all the other victims who have been tricked into this tactic. This is sleazy sales tactics passed down from management or ownership and it just reflects the poor quality of this gym's maintenance. I took my business across the street to another gym for $5 more a month.
