Great workouts with a experienced coach!
I highly recommend for you guys to try it. It is a test of stamina, endurance, will power, and commitment. This is one of the hardest workout program that I ever tried, and I like it so much! I see changes in my body and attitude and I see now that as I continue attending the classes it seems like it is more enjoyable and that I can keep up longer and I feel stronger. At first I was shy and hesitant to join or even try Strength Camp as I know I have really fallen into a bad shape and that I do not have the endurance and stamina I had when I was younger (ie when I was a gym rat). But seeing that I need something out of the box, like a boot camp, to whip me back to shape, I hesitantly signed-up for trial sessions. Definitely, it was one of the best decisions I made. Now I can't wait to be in one of the classes and sweat it all out! This is totally a must-try!
Shawn is the best in the industry, he cares about his clients/members and delivers top notch training to all. If you really want to ramp up your fitness either beginner or elite athlete...or anything between I recommend Shawn & his team at Strength Camp
Strength Camp is one of the reasons why I cannot move out of Langley. The workouts are as tough as you want it to be - you can lift whatever weight you are comfortable lifting, and at the same time, Shawn (the instructor) will motivate you if he knows you can do more or lift more, which I like because I am lazy. The class sizes are small (max 12 or 15) which I believe is a perfect number so Shawn can zone in on anyone who needs help, motivation, or instruction. I like going to this gym because people are friendly and are there to motivate you and make you accountable (i.e. encourage you to have a constant attendance). Danielle, the other owner who handles the admin side of the business is very nice and accommodating as well. Rates are also cheaper compared to other gyms of this kind, but the quality of training/service is as good if not greater!
Ive been going for a couple of months now and Im loving my results. Most of all I enjoy going and look forward to my classes. Ive had personal trainers and gone to other gyms and bootcamps over the years and this one is my favourite! Definitely the best bag for your buck too. The coaches are awesome and very knowledgeable! I love the set up and the way the classes are timed and organized. Highly recommend!
My wife joined this gym about 6 months prior to me joining and I don't know what took me so long to try it. I went and found the gym to have a great atmosphere and a very knowledgeable trainer. Shawn is very good at what he does and he assists you when you are doing things wrong and puts you back on track. The classes are put together to make the novice to advanced leave with a great workout. The gym is very clean and the clients are very nice and open to helping you. I truly do appreciate my wife pushing me to join as it has changed my attitude. It's a great gym!

I have greatly enjoyed the straight forward and honest approach that Strength Camp has utilized in their business model. The coaches are seriously fun and its immediately evident that they do in fact know what they are doing. Feedback to form and technique is given in a friendly tone and understandable language. the class sizes are on the smaller side, which is good for those looking for a group fitness setting but where the coaches can cycle around and provide support. Great price point and highly recommended!
Strength Camp in Langley is the place to be whether you want to lose weight, gain lean mass or (as you guest it) get STRONGER! Shawn is an excellent coach and his understanding of the kinematics of the human body is exceptional, goodbye bad form and muscular imbalances. You won't regret coming in for a class to see what it's all about!
Amazing facility! Shawn is incredibly knowledgeable in form and function of movement and has a great personality. The facility is clean , organized and welcoming. The workouts are intense but they also ensure you are using proper form to prevent injuries. Many exercises they implement actually increase your overall stability and functional movement. I can't recommend a better place to get almost 1 on 1 training at a fraction of the cost. It's perfect for anyone at any stage in their life regardless of experience or physical fitness level. They have you covered no matter what!
Absolutely love this place. I get pushed every class and have been gaining strength. The coach helps me work around my injuries and in 3.5 weeks I have more mobility with my injured shoulder. I highly recommend this place. Great people, great coach!
I’ve been at this gym a few months now and couldn’t be happier. Shawn is a top notch trainer and incredibly knowledgeable. My body has already changed so much and I have full faith his programming will get me the results I’ve always wanted. If you have an injury he will always give an alternative and explain the why behind it. Facility is really clean and there is plenty of equipment. This gym is for someone who wants to get strong and fit.

I absolutely love this place and Shawn makes this gym what it is! He’s so dedicated, knowledgeable, and you can see his passion for it. He spots and makes sure that we’re all doing the workout correctly. From the warmup, during the workout and cool down. This is a very well kept gym, very clean and all the equipments are properly arranged and organized. Prices are very good too, especially when compared to other similar facilities. I’d recommend it any day!
After finishing college/university sports, I'd taken a few years off weight lifting. Most gyms I'd been to felt overbearing and in your face and after competing for so long, I felt burned out. My partner started training at Strength Camp and was really enjoying it and seeing some great gains in her lifts and how she felt, so she asked me to come out one time. I was hesitant but came for the trial. Now 8 months later...Shawn is great - from the way the program is designed, to how he coaches and gives feedback. I've been able to articulate what I'm hoping to get from the program and he keeps me honest and coaches me towards that. I don't get the same yelling, overbearing / in-your-face "motivational" bs I was getting from other gyms, but instead get honest and pointed feedback on technique. I'm lifting as heavy or heavier on many of my lifts as when I was a full-time athlete, I feel great at my other activities and hobbies, and am experiencing some aesthetic results as well. Shawn knows his stuff, the community and SC team is friendly and fun to see frequently, and I am having fun and enjoying working out again after a few years off. Added bonus - there's often some cute dogs in the gym ALWAYS looking for head pats and belly rubs.
LOVE this gym! As a former athlete but newbie to weightlifting Shawn has been wonderful with knowledge, technique and has several workout alternatives for injured areas. Enjoying the classes so much have recruited some of my family members to join his classes as well I started one on one training with Shawn. Definitely recommend for anyone both newbies like myself or or fitness fanatics!

This gym is fantastic, the trainers take the time to ensure that you are completing the exercises properly so you can progress on your fitness goals. Class sizes are limited to ensure that trainers can focus on individuals. I always look forward to a new month Which brings challenging new exercises. I also found a great new group of friends. Come try it out you won’t be disappointed!
Awesome “gym”! My wife has been going here for 2 years and kept bragging about it but I was always too busy or making some other excuse not to go and join. Finally with COVID I found the time and have done a couple days of one on one personal training as well as a few days a week for the group classes. It’s a great atmosphere and everyone is very friendly. Shawn takes the time to walk around and ensure people are doing the proper form and working through the exercises as they should. Best part is that he doesn’t sugar coat if you are slacking off he will call you out…yes some people with take offence to this but that’s their problem not his. You go here because you want the proper support from him and the rest of the clients not a pat on the back for just showing up. Gym is very clean, people keep their distance as needed and guidelines are well layed out. It’s a no brainer….if anyone complained about this place its very obvious they just want to sign in to say they went to the gym not actually get their workout done.

I've been a member since the middle of May so I am still fairly new. I was originally a member at a different gym when I tried the free week trial out but on day two of the free week trial I signed up and left my previous gym. Shawn is very knowledgeable, confident and definitely has made me feel comfortable since joining. I love the atmosphere that he has created at strength camp. I highly recommend this gym!!!

This gym is so awesome !! Fell in love with it the first day I went. They work you hard in a class format in small groups each moving through the circuits. Shawn really knows what he is doing and will help fine tune your form and technique. Adam is also very knowledgeable. Great gym - I recommend it to everyone in the Langley area !
Great facility. Great trainers. Great flexibility of classes. Great variety of workouts. I just started and feel so much better physically and mentally and have a more agile body. Shawn is one of the most experienced trainers you will ever find.
Definitely 5 stars for Strength Camp! I’ve learned so much about proper form and posture in such a short amount of time. I’m doing exercises that I never would’ve attempted on my own. Shawn is an amazing trainer, he’s motivating and gives you the confidence you need to try new things and push yourself to the next level. I love Shawn and the Strength Camp community. I feel very welcomed and comfortable, despite not having a lot of experience with lifting. I’m really impressed with the style of training at this gym. Shawn writes an amazing program that includes both strength and conditioning. Shawn is always adjusting your form to ensure safety and that you are challenged.
Having done crossfit for 5 years, I moved to the area and decided to check out different environments outside of Crossfit itself. I signed up for a 2 week free trial elsewhere, and while it wasn't terrible, it also wasn't great. I had the intention of signing up with that place, but decided to try Strength Camp out first. After the first class, I told Shawn to sign me up. Great programming, great environment, and Shawn is extremely knowledgeable. He corrects your form and makes sure you're doing things correctly to prevent injury. I have some nagging injuries from the past and he gives suggestions on how I should modify a workout to get around the injury. On a more simple level, if I'm feeling tired, lacking energy, having an off day, he understands and doesn't push you when you're body is telling you "no". I highly recommend giving this place a try. Great gym for all levels... Very clean, welcoming, and lots of class times available... also the same class runs all day so no need to shuffle schedules. Shawn is very knowledgeable and has great modifications for any injuries/ability levels... anyone can do it and they offer a free trial!

I used to go to yoga program for a couple years which I loved but some days I didn’t feel enough of a work out. A mom from school introduced me to strength camp and Shawn and here we are two years later and loving it. We get a new routine for the month and I just need to show up and listen. Great group of people attending the classes.
I just recently joined and right away I got a good vibe. I knew this was the place for me. Shawn the owner is very smart and knows his stuff. He will bring out the best in you. Everyone is so welcoming and helpful if your stuck doing part of a routine they keeping there distance (covid protocols) will walk you through it. Very clean environment, everything is very well organized. I have nothing but good things to say. I highly recommend you give it a try.

I started doing some personal training with Shawn in April and thought he was a great trainer. Very knowledgeable. So, I was very curious about the classes. Although, I was having surgery and would be out for 6-8 weeks and would have to wait until June. I decided to purchase a groupon which was for unlimited bootcamps. When I arrived on my first day June 17th, I was told that it was only for Wednesday's and Saturday’s, and I would need to pay more money. I did the class and really enjoyed my workout. However, the next morning June 18th I was running behind due to leaving my shoes at home. I sent Shawn a text and asked if I should still come as I was going to be a few minutes late (I didn’t want to interrupt the class, if it had already started) to which he responded yes. When I got there the door was locked. I paused wondering what I should do and then I noticed this other girl walking up to the door to the right. I said to her "oh, do we use that door in the mornings" and the response was "no, I'll let you in that door." Trying to make light conversation, I mentioned why I was late and got no response, she just looked stern and unhappy. The girl unlocked the door for me and let me in. I walked into a full room, I went looking for a sport and could not find one. The instructor Shawn had gone to the front so I went looking for him to ask where I should go. He said laughing "just go find a spot on the turf." Perhaps it was a silly question, but I had no idea what their procedures were. I had no idea at this point what I was doing so I tried to copy all the other members that were in front of me. Shawn eventually spoke up and announced again what the warmup routine was. I spent the entire hour feeling awkward. My issue was the string of text messages I received from Shawn today June 22. He was doing what most businesses would do and checking in with me, but he did not take my criticism too well and was totally rude. He really highlighted why I would not want to be a member at this gym. It is people like him that put off most people that are afraid of gym environments. I have added all the messages to this post as I think people should see for themselves how this company treats people if they do not like what they say. Sure enough, maybe this girl was having a bad day, but this is not the manner in which you respond. Apologizing that I was made to feel that way and that he would speak to the person would have resolved this in a more professional manner, but I guess they don’t do professional.

I have spent the past 2 years training one on one and was nervous about changing gyms. Shawn and Ally and the team at Strength camp have welcomed me and are first rate trainers. They are acutely aware of issues with form, injury etc, and ensure you are looked after while still working hard....awesome classes that will get results. I recommend to anyone as this is the best value in Langley hands down

This gym has been enjoyable to attend. It is spacious open concept and has followed all Covid Protocols effectively with small class sizes, mandated wearing of masks, ongoing sanitization throughout and social distancing in place. The gym is clean, very organized and well equipped. Shawn has had a long career in this field before opening up this gym and supports you through exercises that he will adapt so that it meets you at your level. He prioritizes your functional movement and form first and then supports you in challenging yourself. Would definitely recommend.
There are lots of gyms to choose from, but there was something about this one that appealed to me and my gut was right. Shawn is amazing. He knows his stuff, knows when to push us and reminds us to take care of ourselves and not get injured. The classes and well thought out, and there are lots of them so I never get bored or have conflict. I highly recommend this bootcamp!
I absolutely love this place. I ended my 11 year relationship and decided it was time to make some changes to create a more positive perspective of my life. I found a free 1 week membership on Facebook and decided to give it a try. The workouts were hard but very enjoyable, Shawn has been an awesome teacher who treated me with nothing but respect and the community here is no different, great people all around. I've worked out here for almost a year and have completely transformed my mindset and put on 20lbs of muscle . I will stick around for a long time. Thanks Strength Camp !
