My contract with OGYM stipulated that after one year of subscription I could pay month by month without commitments and therefore that I could terminate my contract at the time of my choice. OGYM became Crunch and suddenly this agreement no longer exists. Apparently now there are annulment insurance that I have never heard of ?! I phoned several times to cancel this subscription and I have to pay an additional fee at the end of the day. Believe that I will be watching my VISA card closely because with the bad faith and bad service I received, I would not be surprised if they "forgot" to respect the cancellation of the contract. OGYM est devenu Crunch et soudainement cette entente n’existe plus. Apparemment maintenant il y a des assurances annulation dont je n’ai jamais entendu parlé?! J’ai téléphoné à plusieurs reprises pour résilier cet abonnement et je dois payer un frais supplémentaire au bout du compte. Croyez que je vais surveiller ma carte VISA étroitement car avec la mauvaise foi et le mauvais service que j’ai reçu, je ne serait pas surprise qu’ils aient « oublié » de respecter l’annulation du contrat.

Not customer-oriented, old equipment. I had been visiting this gym since it was Energy Cardio. By the time I changed the gym half of the treadmills just stopped to work. Furthermore, when I came to cancel my membership it looked so easy, I was told that "All Set" and "I didn't need even to come, I could cancel by phone", however, they continued to charge my credit card. I took me three personal visits to make them stop charging my card. When I finally met the manager she wasn't even sorry for that. The only explanation they always have "I don't see any records in the system that indicate that you requested the cancelation"

Bris d'équipements non réparés depuis plusieurs mois. Je dois malheureusement abaisser la cote de 3 à 2.

I told the representative when I signed up it was my intention to try the gym and he assured me I had a no commitment membership. They lied and now are trying to prevent me from cancelling. Be cautious of automatic renewal of membership and take note if you cancel of who you’ve spoken with and when. Supervisor Veronica was very professional and cancelled/refunding membership fee after I’d cancelled in November. (Awaiting refund; will update) On another note, gym equipment from when I joined in 2018 belonged to Ogym; most machines were broken/dirty. Hopefully crunch upgraded.

Good price, nice staff. The new equipment is nice! Wouldve liked more ab machines, though as Buzzfit Lasalle has. Only negative is the place is too small, as the machine are WAY too close together. Its a little awkward being a few feet away from someone when you workout, and sometimes you have to watch out for peoples arms/weights as you walk around. Hoping they can expand next door soon. If not, I dont plan to renew.

Hi, I emailed to management for cancellation my membership for next month and they canceled my current month membership . When I visit on gym my card did not work so I told the gym guy and his name is Laurent. I said to him I already paid for this month. He told me system is showing your membership is canceled. I told him for manager number but he did not give me. I told him please allow me for one day because I already took my pre workout . He told me no he has no permission if someone go for trail or for free visit then they have permission to allow but now he has no permission. Worst employee is Laurent in this gym.

Very bad gym, not recommended! 1- Has many hidden fees once you register.... starts charging you for your entrance card, a 3 months usage fee (not specified when you first register & written in small fine print on the contract) 2- Customer service is very bad, the employees cannot care less about you and give you attitude when you talk to them. 3- Unfairly charged me during Covid-19 although the gym was closed for 3 months... I tried to contact them during the quarantine but they do not respond to calls neither to emails... They do not want to refund me for the charges during quarantine. Please do yourself a favor and avoid this gym if possible! This one is just not worth it...

O-GYM Lachine was purchased by CRUNCH in 2019. They promoted for months expansion, the CRUNCH Lachine Website advertises this model. Unfortunately without doing the proper due diligence the mall was sold. Now the expansion is apparently on hold or most likely not going to happen. The gym is nothing similar to what CRUNCH advertises on the website. The only positive I can honestly give is the staff is very nice and helpful, so it's not their fault concerning the owners and CRUNCH. I asked to cancel my membership due to the massive overcrowding and lack of space with all the new memberships. I was told by the manager I cannot as I did not take the plan that charges an extra $5 fee per month. I was expecting an expansion etc...In my view this is a case of bait and switch style false advertising. I much preferred O-GYM and didn't mind the more expensive membership fee as it was cleaner, less crowded and reasonable space. I will cancel my membership for sure when renewal is due and 100% NOT recommend this gym. I seriously dislike the overcrowded atmosphere and the equipment is too close beside each other and even dangerous. Any case I signed up at another gym even though I still have a membership. I have also overheard other members voicing the same complaints.

The gym has everything you need and the staff have always been nice and helpful to me personally. They recently moved weights around to another room which gives so much more room to lift in. Before it was tight to get around, but now it’s fine. The only reason I dock a star is because I guess there’s something in the water for the other lifters as most of them either dont put the weight away when their done or they stack the heaviest plates in front of the lightest. Or they’ll pin the weight clamps behind multiple plates. So yeah… Aside from that, the gym is pretty good and the monthly fees are fair.

I have never walked into a gym and felt so unwelcome. The person working at the front desk seemed annoyed with the fact that I wanted information on possibly becoming a member. No smile, no greeting no enthusiasm whatsoever. I asked standard questions as anyone would before signing anything. Every one of my questions seemed to bother her. When I would get an answer, it would be either yes or no. No elaboration or explanation as to why. Horrible environment, very negative! A gym is a place that should be welcoming, a place of positivity. This is everything but that! Look elsewhere, definitely not worth it!

locker in the men's lockroom has been like this for a month (see pic). They obviously do not follow covid prevention procedures, as they should be disinfecting lockers daily!! I guarantee you they do not. They also shut the lights in both locker rooms 10 mins before closing. As we are forced to change in the dark with several people around. Very unprofessional. Hard to get around people and machines in such a small gym. Any gym should have a lot more room to move for safety measures alone, let alone covid prevention.

went for a trial run. Very small gym for the amount of machines they have. Men's locker room was filthy, puddles and salt from outside everywhere. They obviously dont care if people come inside with wet boots. Many people also dont use towels when using the equipment, very unsanitary. This should be enforced by the staff..... Econofitness or Buzzfit is a much better gym for a better price.

Poor quality customer service. The gym itself is alright, it has the basics for a workout. But my experience with this company has been based off dishonesty! Firstly, this was the first gym I signed up for in Montreal as I was new to the city this year, and when I first walked into the gym asking about a membership, I asked the lady at the front desk if there were any other gyms around as I wanted to compare what was near my area, obviously! This lady tells me there were none... come to found out months later there was another gym (Sweat or something) right around the corner! -_-. Secondly and more importantly, Crunch has been charging me monthly since they have been closed due to COVID starting from November. I emailed asking for a refund and a lady called back, long story short she refused to give me a refund... she said there are two options, either freeze my account and pay for the rest of the year when the gym reopens, or use what I am being charged as credit months when they reopen... so basically the same option in two different wordings. None of these are useful to me because I am moving from the area the same time as my contract ends..hence why I got a year contract:) They are refusing to refund me for the months that I am not even using their services, and feel entitled to tell me the only option is that I extend my contract with them and refuse to give my money back, and her reasoning for this is because if she gave me a refund then they cannot support the business! I understand it's difficult times but you cannot force me, who is also struggling in these times, to pay for your bills. You can request that from the government, but legally, my contract is states they can only charge me for a year and when the gym is OPEN and in USE. Anyways, I've filed a dispute claim with the bank, but Geez this is not the way to keep your business afloat!

Descent gym , very nice staff ! They have everything you need to get a proper work out done. Only thing... little bit of a sweat smell in the men’s locker room and weight area. It’s a not very very noticeable but I have a picky nose. (People who go there often probably don’t even notice it) besides that excellent !

Went to Crunch with a friend who has a membership. Said guests have to pay $15 for a single entry. Run down looking gym with very subpar facilities, pretty dirty and crowded during covid. Left after less than an hour. $5 should have been enough for this place. Would not recommend.
