To this day this firm receives a rating of 4.5 out of 5 and that rating has been based on 37 reviews.
You must have seen that the average of ratings that it reaches is basically the best one, and it's founded on a high number of reviews, so we may be quite sure that the assessment is quite reliable. If there are many people who bothered to evaluate when they've done well, it works.
As you know, we don't usually stop to write tatings when these are positive and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Gym is classified in the category of Gym.
Amazing place, dedicated and dicipline suitable for children age 4 and above and adult, Master Danny is absolutely experienced
(Translated) Good quality of karate teaching for children and adults only the equipment is way too expensive for 2 people you have to pay $ 700 for the kimono and the equipment for the fights. If you are the type to give up easily, don't be tempted by this dojo. Sensei Daniel Coyle is probably one of the most understanding, patient, kind, caring, funny and loving karate instructor you will ever meet. His classes are serious but fun. You will undoubtly always be able to get a good workout at this dojo!!
Dan Coyle is an amazing teacher, knowledgeable, patient and really good with with kids. It's a family oriented establishment. If your looking for a place to do karate, i highly recommend this Dojo. You wont regret it!
Strongest karate and martial art Ever Osu????????????
If you put 100% effort into every move that you make, you will feel accomplished by the end of the class. It’s a very beautiful experience to learn a martial art, it’s even better when you’re surrounded by people who care about your personal growth. I recommend this dojo to anyone who wants to train hard and have fun at the same time.
This dojo is amazing Sensei Dan is awesome and everyone welcomes you in and you become family. The price has got to be the lowest I've found in Montreal too. The Dojo is clean, safe and spacious. The classes are held in both French and English at the same time. Sensei Dan and all of the Senpei explain the technique and what they are used for. This place is even allergy concious so no food at all is allowed to be eaten, just to be safe! While they have one joint class (adult and kids) once a week, they have separate kids and adult classes two other times a week. You train hard... If YOU choose to put YOUR effort in. I wouldn't go anywhere else...this place is home.
(Translated) super good karate school i will say the best in montreal (Original) super bonne école de karate je dirai la meilleure a montreal
Organized and clean, plenty of support no matter whether you speak French or English. Fun environment.
Best karate school around!
I have been training with Dan Sensei for a very long time, including the rest of my family, it is an excellent school where you can learn traditional Kyokushin Karate. Dan Sensei is a very dedicated and patient instructor. Come in and give it a try, I highly recommend it!!
This dojo is great! We work hard and Sensei Dan is the best!
(Translated) One of the best karate schools in Montreal osu. (Original) Une des meilleures écoles de karaté de Montréal osu.
I've been training at Kyokushin LaSalle Dojo for almost 8 months now. In these 8 months I've participated in a few Tournaments and a couple Seminars. I've also had the chance to train in different dojos. Unlike some, Sensei Daniel always pushes his students to learn different ways and with different ppl as he learns from us as well. This dojo is extremely family oriented. Everyone gets along. No different clicks, just a big family training hard several times a week. This place is truly like home. Sensei Dan makes sure everyone is comfortable and happy. A great man. I'm honored to be part of this family. ???????? - Come join us!!!! ???????????? #LasalleCoyleDojo #Kyokushinfamily Osu!!!!
The master is very knowledgeable and good with kids
Sensei Dan really cares about his students' personal growth. Thank you for your effort and time to our kids. Truly you are an amazing sensei!
I trained here for years, Sensei Dan puts in his heart in the training and the betterment of his students. The classes are given by him and several of his black belt students, who each teach with a personalized amazing flavour. Fighting Budo is part of the spirit at Kyokushin Lasalle. On thursdays get ready to pound and get pounded on, with lots of fun, respect and passion. Bring your equipment and learn how to stay mentally strong against an opponent. Respect and fun are part of the experience at all times. Although some adult classes are pretty hard core and can leave the fittest sore, do not expect this to be a military training, because it's not. You will gain confidence in your physical abilities, become a stronger version of yourself, and learn very valuable life lessons. This is a home for many of the practitioners, there's a strong family vibe in there. Although you would surely enjoy a 1 month subscription, you'd benefit much more from a long term commitment to the art of Kyokushin. Sensei Dan and his black and brown belt students made me look at life differently and helped me grow out of my personal problems like nothing else ever did. I currently have a difficult professional position, so I took distance, but I'm in pain every day because I can't train as often as I'd love to. Sensei dan is dynamic in his schedules, always changing always making things better. There are now adult classes and mixed/children classes. Sensei Dan makes sure the classes are safe for adults and new students. Sensei Dan is flexible and makes the classes fun and entertaining, while giving advanced lessons to everyone. Some days it's basic lessons some days it's advanced lessons, everyone gets to touch everything. Kata, Fighting, Fitness, Flexibility, Pain conditionning, Form Technique, Passion, Respect, Bond, Socialising.... The list goes on. These things will grow in you.
(Translated) Beautiful place Sensei with great experience and a faultless reputation Family atmosphere and pleasant Osu !! Mikl bri (Original) Superbe endroit Sensei avec une grande expérience et une réputation sans reproche Ambiance familiale et agréable Osu !! Mikl bri
Barely worth it. It's not even a karate school for adults because the classes are mixed with kids. It's a good place if you want to do leisure karate and not the kind that is known to be from the original founder Oyama. I did lots of research before going there and was looking forward to this style of karate, but this isn't the kyokushin I read about. One of the main instructors is extremely arrogant and doesn't even give a good class. Do yourself a favor and do MMA.
(Translated) If you are around LaSalle, I highly recommend this karate school. We work hard, as much for the children as for the adults, the result is always there. :)) (Original) Si vous êtes dans les alentours de LaSalle, je vous recommande fortement cette école de karaté. On travaille dur, autant pour les enfants que pour les adultes, le résultat y est toujours. :))
Lowest prices in Montreal! Kyokushin Karate is the hardest, toughest and coolest style there is! George St. Pierre trained in this! The classes are hard but the Sensei is amazing and explains everything. Everyone is so helpful and no one judges! You train hard but have so much fun doing it! You finish off being really proud of yourself!
thanks angie I wasn't sure about this place..i went there one nignt a few years back and something told me this was not a good place..they talk like there number one ect..and the sensei told me he split from shihan andre gilbert cause didn't agreed on things ect....someone who goes and gets his black belt from a renown school then decides to split up from them to open there own is a rip off in my book..shihan andre gilbert is the one that form a lot of black belts kyokushin.he was part of a group called the samourai or something like that in the 70's who started it all in montreal..and the thing to not have classes without the kids means you don't have a lot of people joining!..
(Translated) I tried this place a few months ago but did not return because of a very arrogant and boring lady from the orange belt, Sara. She must be the daughter of the Sensei because she acted as if she had the place and let her behave like a Sempai and only interested in her. This kind of favoritism creates discord. She should be disciplined and kept on her belt like everyone else. I would consider coming back and joining this dojo (and bringing my brothers) if this behavior changed because the Sensei was very competent. The dojo was clean and well kept. The class was difficult but pleasant. The prices listed were incredible. This is the best dojo and Sensei in Montreal and its rating is only that of Sara and his undeserved arrogance.
I don't know where the few negative reviews are coming from but they are way off base. 1.The only way two kimonos and equipment can add up to $700 is if you order 2 high end, embroidered, personalized kimonos and expensive equipment. 2.There are 2 kids classes and 2 adult classes during the week (adults can join the kid's class, if their kids are in it) and a combined class on the weekend. 3.YOU train as hard as YOU decide; the dojo or Sensei can't be blamed for YOUR participation. This dojo is the best. All around. Come try it out! The first class is even free!
Waste of money even though membership is cheap. I went for serious karate training because I heard kyokushin was a tough style, but all of this teacher's classes are mixed with kids. Some days I didn't even sweat, and time is wasted disciplining children. This place is not somewhere for adult training, or a good workout. Most days I still went to the gym afterwards.
Sensei Dan will teach kids and adults karate skills . He will teach you the main elements of karate kyokushin skills: kihon (basic), kata and the most fun kumite (sparring) he will push your limits for self defence with discipline and hard training. Best place for kids to learn self respect and discipline. Kyokushin in Japanese = "the ultimate truth "
