Randomly got charged $45.00 out of my bank account. I was told that I have to call the head office, so I did. The lady was very rude and disrespectful; don't take money of MY account with no explanation and give ME attitude! Oh and in order to cancel your membership there has to be a "manager" present but they are always leaving early and make it almost impossible to cancel. I have a life, I go to school and work. Anyways, I have yet heard from a manager who is supposed to call me in regards to that charge. My banker also told me that this happened to another lady and to definitely have it looked into. I feel for the employees who have to work with this mess they call management. Absolutely horrible! Thank God I cancelled the minute my year was up!

Very difficult to cancel your membership. Even if you pay the premium for the so called “no contract”, you’re tied in longer than you think, and pay fees to leave. I would not recommend this gym to others.

If you want them to take your money and make excuses this is the place to go!! Gym might not be a bad place to work out because of ppl that go. As far as their service don’t bother. Since January This year I have been trying to cancel and nothing no manger is ever there! They don’t return your calls so please think twice about joining! If you want them to keep taking your money go for it! Manager Britney is not helpful at all I took a letter from my doctor to give to them and still nothing. Had to cancel my credit card cuz they keep taking money! Instead of her calling me back took me two weeks to get a hold of her. Her staff always said she was out for personal reasons. Called head office will be looking in to this more. Sending my doctors letter to them so they can make sure this doesn’t happen to anyone else! All I wanted was at least some one to call and explain to me. But no it was me always calling and trying to get some clarity. So again just think twice where you want your money to go! DO YOUR RESEARCH BEFORE YOU JOIN! It’s cheap for a reason!

Excellent customer service & a good clean gym thatst open 24 hrs. Brittany is the Gym Manager (a ver hand-on Manager) & she is a very pleasant person...so, the staff is the same. I've noticed that Brittany is very attentive to the Members as her staff. One thing that stand out about Crunch Fitness compared to other Gyms is how the staff greet all the members entering & leaving...the members are taken care well at this Gym! Free, every 3 month health evaluation as part of the Heal & Fitness program for all members ( it's a paid service at other gyms). The machines in excellent condition. Have all equipments to work all parts of the body. Hydro massage bed & the chairs are my favs???? I love this Gym!!!

Ok so I just signed up in January and was loving it! I was going in the mornings and Sydney and Erika were making me laugh and feel really comfortable with my attempt to get in shape. Erika recently got bumped to the afternoon shift and not that the new guy isn't nice, he's just no Erika... :( Erika and Sydney are so good together, it's like breaking up Bonnie and Clyde. I'll change this review from good to excellent once Erika is back on morning shift :P

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE --I bought the VIP membership online, which was quick and easy. I like that I can see the prices online and I don't have to go to the gym to be shown prices, so that is a plus for World Gym. However, I didn't get treated very well when I went to pick up my membership. I went in on June 30th and when I arrived three staff members behind the counter were staring at a screen, watching some video and laughing. As I walked up to the counter a young man looked at me up and down in disgust - and asked 'do you need help?' I said yes and explained to him I was there to pick up a membership I bough a day ago. He asked for my photo ID, did some things on the computer and handed me my membership and said "here you can go use the gym now" ... I tried to be cheerful and said OK walking towards a gym I've never been to, didn't know where things were or how to use them. Luckily a young girl noticed the look of concern on my face and took me into the gym and quickly pointed out where things were. I have social anxiety, and yes I am overweight which is why I am going to the gym but I didn't appreciate feeling like I was some gross person they didn't want to socialize with because I didn't look like everyone else who walks into that gym. I'll continue to go to the gym because I paid for the membership and I want to get healthy, I'll just have to watch videos on how to use the equipment before I go in, since the staff tend to be rude and busy watching videos and chatting behind the counter.

I like coming here - it's great value for the price, it's generally pretty clean, and the equipment is in good shape. There are only two drawbacks to this location. First, the parking lot is often full. Much more annoyingly, the Wi-Fi for some reason never works in the evening (but it works at other times in the day). Basically, if I want to watch Netflix or listen to Spotify while working out, I have to make sure I've got what I want downloaded before I show up.

One year contract my ass! I Have cancelled my contract on August 1st 2016 and am now receiving a call On January 2017 saying that i owe an absurd amount of 400$ I have nto attended the gym once since my year contract has ended. so please tell me how even with me paying $22.50 a month i now owe $400.00 ? That doesn't even make sense remotely. These people are the biggest scammers. I see I am not the only one among hundreds of people just like me who have had this experience. This business is corrupt. I will never recommend this to anyone. Please refrain from using this gym and believing their persuasive talk. They will take every last penny. The employees don't even record half the documents they should. This is so unprofessional.

Very well maintained and clean gym. Can get busy during afternoons, but usually in the morning it's less crowdy. Awesome trainers too (ask for Jessie - she will kill you and push your limits; and then some..)

There still charging my husbands account even though he tried canceling it months ago but they won't let him ! And I noticed if there is anything about it on here they delete it! They don't pick up calls and there hotline dosnt work we had to email them .... Very disappointed and we had to take the next step of action to deal with this problem..... Downgrading my review because of how terrible the gym has been managed since reopening. The covid prevention measures are not enforced by staff. The majority of people there are not wearing masks. It's okay. The gym is filled with way too many machines and not enough space for dumbbell and barbell exercises. It is embarrassing for a gym to have only three squat rack (2 half racks and one extremely small full rack) and only one deadlift platform. The cardio area is overcrowded. Too many machines in too small an area.

As we all know that we are in a pandemic so if you were like me and used the information link to ask questions or even cancel your wasting your time because they say that they never got it. Our pregnant daughter got Covid back in March just when gym closed. So we thought we already cancelled nit why gym reopened they took out money but my bank reversed it because of pandemic club needed to ask clients if they feel comfortable in coming back. Ever since we have me right with the about the outstanding money. Ever time we speak to someone they hang up. I'm a War Veteran who has a service dog and I feel that I wasted my time providing the freedom that everyone has today. If I want to die I would still be a member or I could go back to Bosnia and walk through a land mined field they chances are the same So crunch is only concern about their bottom line not the safety of their client’s

Its a good place given its low prices. But sometimes the gym is too packed in the morning and that doesn’t allow for people to use the equipment when needed or wanted. Plus the most important point is that it closes early on weekends and that doesn’t allow people who go to gym at night a chance to workout on weekends. Not everyone can make it before 10pm or 7pm on weekends because or job and other reasons. I went there for over a year but left the gym because of the reason that its not open 24*7 as they advertise and that compromised my workout a lot. I would return to crunch if they were to keep it open 24*7 including weekends. Overall its a good place for $10 or $21 per month.

Three years with world gym, coming from YMCA... Not impressed that when I first signed up they promised that I can use any World gym in Canada and the USA, then later came out with the black membership for 20.00 mthly that promises the same thing and told me I can no longer use any gym. They take more than one payment out in a mth so be careful. I'm so done with this crap. Back to the Y or any other gym

I am simple man but asked to write a review.The parking is a big issue.Most people workout from 4-7 and the lot is always a headache to park,people just want to get in and out.Kitchener could take some huge pointers from the worldgym in cambridge now that's a gym!RENO RENO RENO PLEASE.No locks on the tanning booths.Locker rooms feel beyond dated.The front entrance feels kind of awkward that all the cardio people are staring at you.I am confident but others I know will feel uncomfortable.Main lobby should have a digital scale.That scale is important to all and I hear there is only one in the ladies locker room.The smell upstairs...maybe it's because the floor is made of wood and its absorbing all those odors I don't know I am not a contractor but it's there(auto air fresheners?).Okay they bought a few new machines for upstairs but 90% of it is still severely outdated and very wore out.(Torn seats,cables,headrests,benches).Not enough mirrors upstairs either,people want to see there muscles working and hitting the right spot.Minor points as follows the windows could be updated they're old and people dropping weights is frequent.On the plus side world gym is a great value and it is a nice place to workout just kitchener needs major updates.

I find it clean, but because of some people that just think they don’t have to follow the rules, now everybody has to wear a mask at all times, even while working out!!! Do you know how difficult it is to BREATH!!! Go after the ones that think they can do as they please, not make EVERYONE wear their mask while working out, THATS INSANE!!!

Please DO NOT go to this gym. JOE VEDOVE is the name of this club's manager and he has no problem charging your bank account without permission. I have been wrongfully charged annual fees for 2 accounts TWICE in 2 months... so in total it's costed me around $400 (and that's AFTER I've cancelled membership) Both times were not due dates either - they call it a "system error"... and when asked to refund, he replies by saying "if you would like to book a time to see me to figure all this out, let me know." Are you kidding me??? Do the RIGHT thing and hit the REFUND button JOE. Easily the WORST gym I've ever been a part of for their fraudulent billing practices. Do NOT go here it is a literal trap.

Do not go here! They charged me $171.00 for no reason and I said I want to cancel so they said I had to pay for 60 more days worth because of their 60 day notice policy even tho they just took $171 from me also facility is not maintained at all! Washrooms/showers are nasty, weights laying around everywhere, and machines are broken. Best this about this place are the personal trainers and that's it! I'd pick any gym over this place any day

So far, so good! The membership is well worth the money. Weights, cardio and the classes are all-included in the low monthly rate. The employees here are awesome and the one girl Charity makes me feel like I'm not doing enough at my job. I try to go tanning when she's working because I know the beds are cleaned thoroughly.

Used to like this gym but the way they handle the membership is so unprofessional. I had requested for the cancellation back in November 2020 and in March 2021 they charged me for my monthly bill again out of nowhere. When I asked them the reason they blamed the Covid-19. They claims E-Mail cancellation is not the intended way of doing a membership cancellation. Pathetic.

Cardio area is nice. Upstairs smells a bit. Bought a month of nutrition. Given evolution nutrition page. 99$ for a month, which is offered on the Evolution Nutrition website itself, for 9.99, 39, or 59$ a month. Enrollment fee was cut for me. First month was 23$ (Vip package). Was told AFTER signing the contract that they have additional charges for the month of January, and July. Somewhere around 20-40$. "That's how we keep our membership prices so low". Not all machines are maintained properly. Not that they were broken, but a lot of the stairs/treadmills have broken emergency stop clips (To clip on so it stops if you fall off) or they are completely missing all together. VIP package includes FREE Unlimited Group Classes - No experience with them FREE Unlimited Child Care - Very nice addition for the folks with kids FREE Unlimited Guest Passes - Effectively means I can double my person/$ value to 10$ a person per month FREE Unlimited Tanning - Never tried it, not interested. The front desk has a warning about how they can be harmful and any injuries due to tanning tables are not their responsibility. (Go out into the actual sun, you sod) 50% of Shakes each Wednesday - Haven't tried the shakes yet Went in for the free consultation. They had a cool machine that told me how much of me was muscle and how much was fat.Staff member was nice, and very informative. But I felt like he was too chatty for the time limit. I imagine he's probably more goal oriented when someone is actually paying him huge amounts for the personal training, though. The amounts they want are ridiculous. Just youtube it or something.

Just joined Crunch a week ago with my wife and daughter. So far so good. Used to be a member many years ago when it was Popeye's... most things haven't changed, so it is all very familiar. When we signed up they told us that they were open 24 hours, so imagine our surprise when we wanted to work out last night (Saturday) at 8:30pm, and they were closed. They are open 24 hours but only during the week, weekends they close at 7pm. Oh well, guess we're just gotta get used to this. Not really a big deal.

This gym is like an old baseball glove or pair of sneakers - it works and might be comfortable, but newer and better options exist. Equipment is decent and the people who work out here are serious about results. The upstairs smells right at the top of the stairs and the staff can be aloof. I have yet to have a positive experience with droping my kids off to the childcare (I'm go to Cambridge or Waterloo with them instead), but hopefully others have a better experience with it. Wish it was better since this is the closest one to my place.

I feel super comfortable at 'my gym' working out alone or with others. It's nice to see familiar faces day-in/day-out and know that even when it is busy the gym is spacious enough and has enough equipment that I rarely have to interrupt my plan/wait too long for any one exercise. Staff are friendly and it seems like there are always little improvements being made to strengthen the overall experience for members.

like a lot of members, I go because it's cheap, but I'm frequently irritated by abyssmal service and a lack of maintenance. lots of money for obstructive and/or depressing decor, but little for upkeep of equipment and facilities. And this is the better of the three in town, oddly. If I could find another gym for close to the same price and better hours, I wouldn't still be here.

The staff is here is pretty nice. I love the look and the metal plates at this gym. It makes it feel like an older, raw gym, which is great to me. Sometimes it can be a little too busy at times, but there is a decent amount of machines. I've been at this gym for almost 4-5 years now and I haven't had much troubles other than that. Would be great if it were to expand in the future so there is more room for more machines and space to walk around in. Also if the locker room was bigger as it's hard to find one when it gets busy.

Been to a lot of gyms, with all types of amenities. What I like about here is no pushy fitness trainers and no nutritionist offering to make you a over night weight loss plan. Just a low monthly fee which they are transparent about. The building is small in general but has all the cardio and weight equipment for a great workout session.

Ah, the never-ending scam that is Crunch. When they took money out of my account in May, I contacted "Cassandra". This was on May 19th. I sent another email on June 2nd- no response. I contacted Crunch Fitness' Instagram page shortly after the second email and they said I would get a response the next week. Wrong! Now, on June 18th, I sent another email with the subject line "THIRD Email, No Reponses" FINALLY! I got a response. Unfortunately, they're using the classic "annual fee" line so they can keep our money (as expected). They already owe me month that was to be applied when the gym reopened, but I'll never see that, and they are not refunding the amount they took out in May. I am building a case against them to bring forward to Consumer Protection Ontario, as directed by the office of the MP of Cambridge. Anyone who wishes to add to my case, please respond to this review and I will contact you directly.

Very difficult booking online to reserve spot during pandemic. Gym was closed for a large part of the year 2020 and first quarter of 2021 yet they were deducting monthly amount from my bank. They advertise 9.99 a month but actual deduction was around 16 a month for the basic membership. Used to like this gym but the way they handle membership fees is close to unethical and unprofessional and now I'm editing my review from 4 to 1 star.

Pretty nice place ya know, do a little tanning, do a little cardioooo. Lift things up. Put things down. (Counter petrus to the subchambers of course!) Place is pretty clean, when you are there when the guy is scrubbing the place down. Only place I can sweat excessively and groan and not be judged for it. Da people working are always friendly. I may go back periodically. Not because it's a bad place. Because I'm a bad person.

World gym Kitchener is pretty sick--everything you need to workout is there. The free weights and machines are all in good condition, and the cardio machines aren't bad. It can be crowded, especially at peak times, so try to go when there are no classes scheduled (you can see the schedule on their website).

Crunch Fitness (formerly World Gym) is a great gym, if you’re looking for something cheap which can still get the job done, then this is the place for you! Although some machines are outdated and it can get very crowded, you can’t beat the $11 monthly fee. Staff are extremely friendly and try to engage with gym-goers! Crunch will have my business for a long time! This gym isn’t luxury, but it sure beats paying $40 a month!

Dunno why everyone hates on the Kitchener location. Lots of squat racks, benches, and a deadlift platform. Lots of dumbells up to something obscene like 180lbs or so. Everything a growing boy needs (lol). Decent machine selection as well if you're into that. The only thing that sucks is the parking. It's always packed.

He (the owner) has continued to charge both a monthly fee AND a mid year $20ish dollar fee in the month of May totaling $35ish dollars when the gyms are all of course closed, I posted this on their facebook page, they advise to email that typical "cassandra" email which I've done twice. As expected, no response at all or follow up. As you can guess also no refund. He seems to think it's okay to steal from his customers by charging for services that can't possibly be used and stay quiet hoping it will blow over. Reading the reviews here, as well as the comments on their facebook page the past month will show you just how ordinary this has been. Zero real communication with this company.

nobody helping me out to cancel my PT training session which i dont need anymore. Poor customer service and Management dont understand what people are going thorough. I can understand due to COVID its taking longer but this is so stressful. I am trying harder to cancel my membership with them but cant do that because Manager has no power. then who has the power " Headoffice" ok then why they are not helping me??? its been more than 3 months ...why giving so much stress i am busy too i my life. Money is earned through hardwork i lost my job and i cant afford it anymore. Crunch took $134.63 from my account. I tried to cancel several times via the online cancellation form. I filled the form 3 times 1 week prior to crunches Covid 19 reopening. Each time, I waited for a conformation email. After a few days with still no email, I called the gym and spoke with an employee. I asked if my membership had been canceled yet. He said no... I told him that I filled out the online cancellation form 3 times with no reply prior to the reopening date. I asked him to cancel my membership. He said that I would not be charged for the month of July because they were not open. He also said that I would have only my annual fee of $54, come out of my account. On Wednesday August 5th $134.63 came out of my account. So called the gym to ask why. The lady on the phone said that it was a billing mistake and gave me a contact email for Sharon. I wrote and email for Sharon on August 6th. I have yet to get any reply back. I was unemployed from May 9th-July 20th because of the pandemic, I had money left in my account for groceries that you wrongfully stole from me.

Amazing. What are you expecting for ten bucks a month, valet parking and a professional DJ? Crunch is what you see in your mind when you think of a gym. Heavy weights and yoga classes. They keep it pretty clean and the members are respectful because everyone there is there for a reason. A comraderie through fitness goals. I hope their hours pick up again once this lockdown stuff is done. The late night sessions beat insomnia.

They have incredibly poor management and untrained staff - they will give you the runaround when you try to cancel your membership. My brother has a membership with world gym with my credit card as payment. He wanted to cancel it so he showed up and the person at the front desk said he had to come in while a supervisor was working between Monday-Friday before a certain time. Which means it's impossible for him to cancel if he's only off on Sundays. He has even called and they told him that as well. So I called in to ask since I'm paying for the membership if I could come in to cancel on his behalf and how inconvenient it was for my brother to come in during supervisors only. Was told it was fine, so I bussed across town and came in only to be told that NO I can't do it, and that yes he can come in anytime to cancel WITHOUT a supervisor at anytime and that he has to be present. And for some reason I can't just prepay any remaining months on the contract to have it closed off. So not only has my brother shown up and was rejected, I have been rejected. The staff needs proper training or if they don't know something they should ask before giving out false information to two people. I'm just left with wasted time and money. Luckily I never had to workout here.

Good overall gym if you're looking for the raw type of weight lifting facility, the Kitchener location is by far better than it's Cambridge and Waterloo branches when it comes to an all inclusive atmosphere that gears towards all fitness types. It doesn't feel or look like a recreational gym for casuals and new individual's to the fitness world, as an experienced lifter I would recommend this gym for anyone seriously pursuing bodybuilding or powerlifting.

Well, as sad as I am about cancelling my membership here, the truth needs to be told. I have been going here for years and I understand the price is cheap but the gym has slowly deteriorated to a point I had to cancel. The mens washroom is a health hazard. The washroom floors have urine all over them, sink is very messy and overall not clean in the slightest. The upstairs area of the gym is in poor condition with plates scattered on the floor and machines that are either broken, or not oiled regularly. Overall I am glad I cancelled my membership and went elsewhere. I would not recommend this gym anymore which is sad because I always liked Crunch but its just gone downhill over the last few years. There are also no towels available to workout with, compared to when it was World Gym there was... The wifi also doesn't work properly which is a minor issue but some people like to stresm music when they workout etc... 1 star, at best.

Offering an update since my last review of 1 star. Some of the hidden fees are gone or moved into the annual fee that is disclosed in the contract terms. The facility is decent but doesn't offer as much versatility as the Waterloo location. That's alright updates can happen. So far as decent an atmoshphere as you can expect from a large mix of people. The trainer I met with for my intake was friendly enough and offered some half decent advice and didn't push me into doing any private sessions as some had issuss with. Wish some of the equipment in the class room wasn't there and unusable during class times but room is limited I guess. Mostly there because I have other friends who train there but overall no complaints and I can get my workouts done with almost no issues barring weight times for certain equipment.

Don't try to cancel your membership through their "Contact Us" page as specified in the FAQ section on their website. They will not get back to you. They also won't cancel memberships over the phone, even in light of COVID-19. Three months after requesting Crunch Kitchener to cancel my membership, including two messages via the "Contact Us" page, two phone calls to the front desk, and two emails to the manager, I was informed that I still might have to pay the next month's membership fee because they didn't "get around to cancelling my membership" before my next bill was scheduled.

A large corporate gym with non sense rules. You have to be at your location IN PERSON to cancel your membership. Keep in mind I pay a premium membership to have the option to cancel whenever I want. I had clearly explained to the girl at the desk my situation when signing up, that being able to quit the membership was important decision factor for me. They do not mention this rule in person. Now I’m stuck making a 2 hour commute to simply cancel a gym membership or have them continue to take my money monthly. I’d much rather support small independent gyms than this franchise.

The facilities themselves are decent, but with they`re constant $10/month promotion (it never seems to expire!), it's always packed unless you feel like working out at like 7am or 10pm. It's almost worth it to may a bit more to avoid the wait for machines. Also, they're not open 24/7 since they close early (7pm) on weekends. Seems like a silly time to close early - you'd think more people would want to workout in the evening on weekends after getting other things done.

I have been going to this gym for 2 months now and never once have I had a problem. I bike 40 mins every morning and 40 mins home and I don't even mind because the gym is just so awesome. A lot of these other reviews are saying some stuff that I really don't agree with, like that there's mold growing places and that it smells like B.O. That isn't true at all. I'm there a lot. There are always staff wiping down machines periodically and doing general checks to make sure everything is alight with the equipment and locker rooms. The parking lot is small but there are always spots available. The staff there are extremely friendly along with the various other people who train there as well. I have had 0 problems with this gym and would recommend anyone to sign up.

I have had a terrible experience with this branch's manager Joe since past 3 months now. I was told I would be receiving my refund for the incorrect covid charges on my account within 4-6 weeks however I have not received anything yet and its been approximately 3 months. In addition to that, I am not able to reach and talk to the manager Joe who said he has processed my refund request. I am being left on hold for 30 minutes, being told I would get a call back but not hearing anything back. My financial position during covid has obviously not been great and therefore I can't afford to loose extra unnecessary money.

Since the start of COVID in this area which was March 2020, I have not been able to go in and workout. I phoned to cancel my membership. I was given Joe, the Manager's email address to request the cancellation. I have emailed a couple times but no response and today, I am still getting money taken out of my account. The worst part is, is that the gym is closed as per the Ontario Gov't due to COVID. I will be placing a stop payment on them from my bank. This is riduculous. No return calls, no responses to emails. So I made the biggest mistake of changing to this gym. I've been coming here since January 2013. The cardio area is Ok to say the least. But, the first time I walked upstairs, the overwhelming smell of BO just made me puke. It still turns me off every time I walk upstairs. Because of the low membership fees, there are some real characters who come here. There are a LOT of school kids who work out here too (can be very annoying) I've worked out in other gyms BUT have never seen so many idiots who throw weights on the floor so hard ever so often. The first time I went to have a shower in a stall, I saw mould growing on the sides. All the stalls have mould growing in them. Its VERY hard to find parking on weekdays. They are overbooked - SOMEBODY PLEASE STOP THEM!!

I joined World Gym because of the 10 dollar a month membership. It is over crowded and the parking is terrible but it is expected for that cost. Except there are hidden fees and they try to overcharge where they should not. They tried to charge me 140 dollars in service fees when they failed to contact me to let me know that they did not have an updated credit card on file. After the first declined I should have been contacted not charged the 35 dollar service fee 3 more times! This 10 dollar a month fee ended up working out to be a lot more then 10 dollars a month for and overcrowded gym with sub par service. Be ware before you join.

I've been coming here since it was Popeyes gym back in 2007. The management is better than the last place. Also the place is under new management as of November. So I hope this fixes some people's problems. Out of the 4 world gyms in the area this is the best one for bodybuilding. Next would be cambridge near 401. The Kitchener location has new machines in the back left upstairs, installed last year. And they have a ton of hammer strength and plates. This is the most COMPLETE gym in the area. Ya it does smell abit but you don't really notice it when you've been going there for so long. If you go around 1am it's not bad as everything is being bleached at that time.

The staff here are completely unprofessional and do not answer phone calls, emails, etc. I had been trying to cancel my membership before my annual renewal in September and was told I would only be able to cancel in February since "COVID pushed everything back". Well apparently that only applies to cancelling the membership as I was charged the annual fee in October. I went into the office and the manager lied through his teeth letting me know he would contact head office to see if there was anything he could do and call me back (he did not). This is the same manager who had at least a hundred unread emails he had accidently left open for me to see in the background. When I was finally able to cancel my membership (at the end of February), they advised they would not refund my annual fee or refund the Nov. and Dec. monthly charge as it goes against the contract. I even mentioned in that beloved contract of theirs, it states that should the gym cease to offer their services customers are able to request to cancel their membership. This email was sent on Monday February 22 and I have yet to hear from them. I would highly suggest you take your business elsewhere as this gym lacks any sort of professionalism and will continuously and purposely ignore your emails to ensure they keep your money in their pocket.

I gotta say, I love the equipment here. Definitely a good place for serious lifters and gives you the feeling of the good old days of bodybuilding. The basic price is really all you need if your a single stud with no kids. And for those complaining about the smell, you aren't working hard enough. When I call to ask why they say there is no record of my cancellation and that it was never "put in the system" and I should have "made sure I got an email confirming" Very unorganized and unprofessional. Do not sign up with this gym unless you want to deal with bad customer service & hidden fees.

My membership has been canceled for 9 months now. I found out today that they took $65 out of my account. SURPRISE SURPRISE they're not answering the phone. I left several messages. I'm the only income my family has and my wife and I have 3 year to support. That money goes a long way right now. I consider that theft and will be contacting the Better Business Buearu.

It can get crowded in the evenings, mornings are good, but the parking is terrible. The one in Waterloo is great. Better space, better machines and nicer gym all around. Wish Kitchener would get a better gym. The VIP membership is worth being able to use all the locations.Can't beat $20 a month

I am very curious about why did Crunch Fitness charge my account for a whole years membership fee in July 19th? Plus a full months charge when the Gym opened in mid July? Secondly, crunch fitness already broke the contract due to whatever circumstances when it decided to stop providing service to its members in March 2020. And your management have the gut to keep on charging the customers accounts even we are in the middle of World Crisis. If you or your Crunch management made the vaccine that none of us know about we are all ears. Yes , the vaccine to cure covid 19 that top 5 pharmaceutical companies are still dieing to figure out. This is unethical and inhumane to put companies profits on top of customers health and safety. If you disagree with this statement. Then I need a written notice from your management stating that your gym is 100 percent safe from any covid-19 infection for its awesome customers. And you take full responsibility of all the consequences if any customer is infected while at any of your locations. You say that and I will pay all the over-due fees. If not.. I will be disputing this amount. Because the contract was broken by crunch fitness in March 2020. Yes its true it was unforeseen circumstances. But, atleast have the dignity and self respect to ask a customer whether would we like to continue or should we cancel the membership. Dont assume that all things are the same..And that crunch fitness can go all crazy on our bank accounts!!!

Terrible administration - trust me do not sign up here. I have random large charges coming off my credit card from them that even the front desk staff can't explain. Cancelling your membership requires written notice -email doesn't count- and they don't tell you this before. Save yourself the hassle and go somewhere else.

Charged me $70 for the months they were closed during covid after closing and not letting me cancel my membership, ignored my emails and have continued to charge me. Pay the extra money for goodlife or something if you don't want to get screwed over.

Equipment is a little older and a bit worn for a "corporate" gym but the machine variety is great. Unique pieces of equipment and lots of free weights.

I have been with this gym for 5 years now, I never had an issue until recently where I was being charged DOUBLE then I should be. which is wrong. They have no right to do that. Also, the manager is an idiot has no idea what he's doing. And if you call head office in Cambridge good luck getting through and if you leave a message the lady won't get back to you. I called and left a message three times and still haven't heard back. I've finally had enough. I canceled my membership with them after 5 years. World gym is having several complaints about them taking out money out of people's account without consent. So good luck to this business ! They will soon learn that they are loosing lots of members due to there laziness and being crooks. At this point this gym deserves no stars.

Been as member for years. They started taking payments again after reopening. I called to put membership on hold. They keep taking payments. Be very careful dealing with this place. Make lots of notes on who you talked to when dealing with any payment issues. Very Shady operation.

This is the worst World Gym I've been to. Most stressful yoga ever, weights being dropped overhead on the second floor. Machines are old and not well maintained. Parking is a nightmare.

They deducted my 70$ even though worker on front desk canceled my membership and I also again asked her to make it's canceled and she said they won't charge me later after lockdown I got to know that my money has been deducted, when i asked them why they told me that I didn't signed anything for cancellation!! They always have loop holes to get away!! Just robbing people for nothing!

The worst gym I have ever dealt with. I cancelled my membership November 2020, and later noticed they had been charging me monthly fees still. After finally getting in contact with the manger (Joe Dalle Vedove), he said that the membership had not been cancelled in their system… either you have useless employees, or lie about cancelling memberships so you can continue to collect fees. Either way, I sent him a copy of my cancellation form and he agreed to have my money refunded. However he “couldn’t do it at the club level”, it had to be done by head office. That makes absolutely no sense. This whole thing started in March, I have received no refund and Joe just doesn’t respond to emails anymore. Reading all the other negative reviews, I cannot believe this gym is still open. Do not recommend, choose any other gym if you’re looking to sign up somewhere. Besides the horrible customer service and shady business practices, the facilities are gross and the equipment is outdated.

Poor equipment maintenance. Would not hurt to grease the Smith Machines sometime. The flat and adjustable benches are all over the place and a safety hazard. How difficult would it be to space them properly and bolt to the floor? And get rid of the stupid equipment that no one ever uses ... declutter!

They will let your account slip for a year and then send you to collections. My wife joined this gym and then decided it wasn't for her and stopped going. For 4 years we paid membership fees without using the facility. This was mostly our fault, but the cancellation policy is horrible. You have to physically go in when a manager is there, which is hard for my wife since she does home daycare and can't just go out at lunch. 3 years later the credit card number they had on file from us was changed and we didn't let them know which also was our fault, but my wife hadn't stepped foot in world gym at this point for 3 years. The gym kept trying to bill us for 13 months and racked up $668 in NSF and membership fees before cancelling the membership and sending the account to collections. Seems to me after the first one or two credit card declines they should've froze the membership not after the 13th. Also since my wife also hadn't stepped foot in the gym for about 3 years when this happened, the manager could've correlated the 2. So Poor billing practices, poor management, horrible cancellation policy. Would NOT give these people my credit card or sign a contract.

I am trying to cancel my membership since August because I moved to another province. Couldn't go in person because of the COVID-19. I called, I sent email and I still been charge for the gym I don't belong anymore. Nobody returns my calls or emails. Never give your bank account information to this company. There are not professionals. Very disappointed

Great staff but needs more equipment or timers put on equipment or something to tell those ppl who like to hog machines to get off and let someone else have a turn. Feels like a waste of money 60% of the time I go there
