Kind staff that always try to brighten up everyone’s day! I have been going regularly for personal training and have seen significant results. They are so thorough with the COVID Health regulations and they make sure everyone is safe.

Awesome facility with loads to do for families, young people, and seniors. Accessible parking and entrance, friendly staff. Plenty of classes including yoga and swimming lessons. They also have personal training! You will wait at the service desk though especially on weekday evenings. There's always a line and not all staff members are trained to do everything so it gets frustrating when you're waiting and have a class starting soon. They have a 3 day free pass, so I highly recommend checking it out!

Some of your trainers should be sent for sensitivity training. Facilities is old and dated. Pool is too chlorinated but I'm glad after 1.5 years you finally fixed the women's changeroom floor. Excellent wellness programs!

Took swimming lessons here (as an adult). The swim instructors are young, but well trained. They were able to adapt their lesson plans on the spot to help me achieve my swimming goals. Lessons are also very reasonably priced.

I used to lift weight and work out here. I was attacked and robbed here, and some of the staff were invoveld in sexual and racial harassment. I had difficulty being treated with respect. Gang hazing has been allowed. I am not gang.

Staff is friendly and accommodating and the drop in fee was just lowered to $5.75 for <30 years old. Good deal! Ball hockey on tuesdays and sundays is always a good time. Pool is a bit dated, however, would recommend the Stork YMCA in Waterloo for lap swim.

They made it very easy to sign up for a guest pass (as opposed to some of the higher priced gyms in the area that either wanted me to pay $20+ per day or take an hour long tour of their facilities). The Y doesn't pretend to be anything it's not, and that's perfect;

Parking lot is big, friendly staff and very organized changing rooms. Cardio and weight area is great and new. They just need to upgrade most of their work out area equipments; they are kind of dated. It is very sad. I've also tried yoga and zumba classes. I liked it. My husband have tried the swimming classes and he is also liking it. A lot of possibilities for family activities. I really enjoy when I'm there but the dated work out equipments it's being a big issue for me and other members.

I had my summer camps booked with them. When covid hit of course it was canceled and I was asked if I would like to have the money stay with the company and they would re register my daughter automatically next year I went with this option. Then in June I was emailed stating that I would be receiving a refund. After enquiring as to why they said it was a mistake made and they apologized to me. So I'm good with that but now its July I still haven't recieved my money back and have been basically told that it probably won't happen. I have tried to be understanding written emails left messages and no one will help so I'm doing something I've never done write a bad review. :( I have to say that I do not recommend dealing with the YMCA. I do realize that we are In the middle of a pandemic but all the more reason to make sure money is back in the pockets of families that need it the worst part is that the one lady I spoke to has said that I'm not the only one.

Am currently a member but am disgusted that I couldn't get to the gym once. Tried to make a complaint because I am quite sure the same people are there more than once a week. It would have been nice for the y to be fair too all members and make sure, especially during these times that all members get in once a week for sure. I was told they would put me on an availability list, but that's tough when you work 5 days a week. Am considering a new gym, and hope other members read this and consider the same. Than maybe management will change the way they do business during such times. Sorry y it was a nice place to come but the current situation has left a sour taste.

The summer day camp is awesome!! They offer many activity like archery , kayaking, swimming, and a lot more!!they also have a family night were we seat all around a campfire, sing songs and roast marshmallow. ...a very nice experience. ..my kid after the 1st week begged to spent 1 more week there. .. I'm currently doing the 2 week free trial and I am in LOVE. They have so much to offer and the staff are FANTASTIC. For the fitness classes, they know I'm new right away, always introduce themselves, and give me a rundown of the class. Afterwards, they always ask how I liked it and if I'll be back! I'll definitely be going for the membership after the trial period.

Great gym that facilitates all types of people in a friendly manner. Very inclusive atmosphere. Many classes to choose from and lots of equipment to suit your workout needs and very rarely busy and you have to wait for equipment. A bonus at this facility is the squash and racket ball courts. Also I opted out for the plus change room that has towel service a sauna and hot tub. Worth the extra 10 bucks in my opinion

A most enjoyable and clean place for the community, children to aged, healthy to handy and most handicapped. The instructors took my breathe away watching them caring for less fortunates. Not a shade of displeasure when handicapped couldn't follow the easiest instructions to healthy but otherwise for trying participants. Front counter personnel friendly to one and all Catering was little on the higher priced than commercial establishments specially for the retirees and Pensioners. A clean friendly atmosphere

Visited here because we were comparing different gyms. Ultimately I signed up with another gym, but NOT because the Y facilities were bad. Quite the contrary - they are outstanding! It had everything you could imagine for fitness. I don't think there are many - if any - other gyms in the area that can match them. First con is the price. It's a bit more than I was willing to pay, but the old aphorism that you get what you pay for applies here. The other was that my wife noticed that the free weights area was definitely a "boys" room, and could feel a bit intimidating to women.
