I am very happy for the service I am receiving at Shapes Henderson. The location and hours of operations are very convenient for me. The facility is always clean and inviting. However this is not a first time I am encounter rude personal over the phone once in a while from your team members. This time I have decided to take it one step further and place a formal complaint. I did send an email with my issue and not surprised that even have not received any respond to my email. By reviewing your website unfortunately I have not seen any option for issues or complaints that will find their way to the proper team member or a manager that will actually deal with the issue. The person that had phoned me on September 20 had said I have some issue with my payments, she was very rude and then just hang up on me in the middle of the conversation. In my opinion this is a poor and unprofessional costumer service.

Been wanting to check out this gym for awhile, I finally did and I definitely do not regret it! Sasha was very helpful and informative with setting up a membership and she hypes me up whenever I come in haha. I love everything this gym has to offer from personal trainers to all kinds of fitness classes. The environment is very welcoming and clean, the staff are very friendly and supportive, and all around I strongly believe this gym is a great place for anyone who’s trying to start living a healthier lifestyle! :)

It took SHAPES MANAGEMENT 22 minutes after I made this review to get a phone call from the manager trying to freeze my membership and training. This is my experience: I went to inquire about a gym membership and the lady who was helping me could barely speak English, next thing I knew I had papers in front of me ready to be signed. I felt pressured into it. I signed up anyway not knowing that I would have to wait all year for my surgery to take full advantage of my membership so on the ninth day I asked to cancel my membership and I was informed that it was not possible, you aren’t able to freeze your personal training either. I called and tried to explain my situation that I went home from work with back spasms and I was in bed for two days, the gym was the last thing on my mind. Seven days and no exceptions, business is business. Be careful what you sign, especially at this place. I will never give my money to this company again, I am in so much pain and waiting for spine surgery. I should’ve waited and now they are enjoying free money. I’m no longer working and will be needing the money but I had seven days. Don’t waste your time here!! They don’t care about you or your health.

I would be glad to rate it 0 stars if I could. I would never recommend this fitness center. I signed a contract in February 2018 (on Tuesday), and then within a week (on the 7th day, Monday) I came to cancel my membership. I wasn’t ready to do sports at that time. The manager Sasha (Henderson Shapes) told that she could not to cancel my membership but to freeze that. Basically the price for freezing was $5 which wasn’t interesting for me at all. So she told that as a manager she can do that for me for free. I was satisfied with that proposition and filled the application form for freezing, where Sasha has written “for free” right in front of me. Within a month I’ve got a call from your payment department regarding my payments. Surprisingly, I heard that my account isn’t frozen and payments are accumulating. What is more important is that now Sasha can’t find that document. She “lost” it. Since then I started calling to Sasha and Head Office in order to deal with that situation. Every time I was told that one of your managers will contact me and I still didn’t get any response from their office. I have talked to Sasha, and she has admitted she made a mistake. The fact is that she hasn’t told me about that unless it was too late. If I knew that freezing with a short term contract is impossible I wouldn’t agree for that. Now because of her fault I am persecuted by their payment department and threatened by collectors. Thanks for such a nice service. I would be glad to share all my experience and thoughts with all my friends. P.S. Just in a day after publishing this comment I was called by one of managers with a propositions to delete this negative comment in exchange of dealing with my situation. So they don't want to do anything for their customers unless you create a negative comment. P.P.S. That's why Shapes don't have negative comments in Google. People just delete them after being pressed by Shapes.

Terminating a membership agreement with Shapes is like trying to get out of a cartel. Expect misinformation and manipulation from all levels of the business, including the head office. My recommendation? Forget Shapes and join a large-scale fitness club that doesn't greedily charge or swindle members. Update - Shortly after posting this review, Tina from Shapes called me from a blocked number and attempted to bully me into removing this review. Although I respect her attempt to minimize the effect of negative reviews on the Shapes brand, this is a horrible practice and apparently quite common given what I have read on other review websites. Buyer beware.

Staff is nice but there just aren’t enough machines, only go if you’re only using cardio machines. GoodLife on Sargent has more variety. The reason why I switched gyms was because the lack of resistance machines and barbells. Very clean gym though !

I joined this gym December 2019 with them telling me that I can cancel my membership at anytime. I never once used my membership due to having unexpected surgery. Tried to cancel my membership but was denied. For the rest of the year they have been taking money out of my account. Nothing I can do. Lady at the front desk says theres nothing she can do. Anyways the contract ended in December 2020 and they stopped taking money out. But it’s now March 2021 and these greedy ppl are starting up again. Money coming out of my account again. I wish I would of read the reviews prior to this nonsense cuz they are not very honest ppl, very greedy. From what I’m reading in these previous reviews is that once u join there’s no way out. What are the exact steps does one Need to do to permanently terminate their membership so money does not come out? It should automatically stop once the contract is up.

I have been training at Shapes for over a year now. The henderson location is by far my favourite. The facility is always clean and the gym isn't too large making the experience enjoyable. If you're in need of a trainer I recommend Samantha. She is a fantastic coach and makes me feel welcomed and comfortable every session. Not only that but Samantha really values her clients and makes sure every fitness goal is reached.

I signed the contract with Shapes on Henderson 1 year ago. I tried few classes and they were not like I expected. I wanted to cancel my membership but they didn’t allow me. So I agreed to pay them 14$/bi-weekly for a year and not visiting the gym. I knew that my contract will end on the beginning of Jan 2018 so I called in the end of November and asked the consultant what should I do to cancel. They told that I can just come and cancel my membership before the end date. Because of holidays I came on Jan 02, 2018 (my contract was signed on Jan 01, 2017) to sign cancellation form and they told me that they will charge me one more month (3 more payments)! I was so upset with that and they could do nothing for me. I have to pay one more month just because their consultants are not knowledgeable! Even if it is in my contract they should provide clear information that the customer is requesting. I called to their head office to adjust my payments as the girl on reception advised me to do it and the lady on phone there was pretty rude and called me “my dear” few times! So annoying! So with such experience I will never ever become a member of Shapes and will give the advice to all my friends and relatives not to go there! Thanks to “great” employees and “perfect” customer service.

I wish I could give them a 0. Horrible customer services. The lady at the front desk lies to the people and do not let them know that she is getting them into an year contract. After which if you ask her, she will answer rudely. I already had told her that I want to cancel my agreement and she was like ye, totally fine and then I received a call from them stating that I owe the membership fee and when I spoke to her, she was not in the mood to respond. Even the customer services are not helpful tho. DO NOT GO THERE.

This is the first ever gym that made me feel comfortable about myself and have an enormous amount of support from the staffs. The manager, Sasha, has a great spirit that lifts us up as we come in and gives you the proud look when you walk out the door. I signed up for a trainer and was partnered with Ashley at first. I had fun and she pushes me to the best I can. When my schedule changed, Sasha was able to book me with another trainer, Alice. Alice has a different technique in training and I have fun in them too. I look forward to my sessions with her as we found a common interest we talk about too. The place is always clean and it's a wonderful place to just have your me-time, especially in the yoga room. They have group workouts that I've yet to try but I always overhear other ladies looking forward to them as they wait for the sessions to begin ????

If I could give 0 stars I would! I used to work here and Sylvia is the worst manager I have ever worked with. She would bully me and pick on me in group chats, in person, yell and humiliate me and fellow coworkers in front of members, she would talk poorly about us in front of members and other workers. I once had a member come up to me before her class to tell me the Nasty things Sylvia said about me behind my back. Like shapes, what are you doing? do you not do background checks or listen to your employees when they complain, do you like a toxic environment. y'all should be shut down

I love barre and yoga! And shapes offer both of them. They also have great group classes and friendly staff. Recently I joined their 6 weeks boothcamp and was impressed at how the trainer was very knowledgeable and showed me how to properly do some workout exercises either using machines or free weights. And instead of sticking to what is said and that the membership can be transferred they tell you that the person you would be transferring it too has to sign for an additional year. The gym itself is tiny, and there's a disgusting amount of those moisture bugs always around the gym. Also if you are going to sign up with this gym then do NOT sign up at this location. There seems to be a very large language barrier between most of the staff and the people going in. I signed up with Milli and she completely mislead information about what was included in the contract. It seemed like she would tell me whatever I wanted to hear to get me to sign up, and then when I expressed my concern she told me that it was too bad because I signed the contract already. Scammy Update: Also, if you need ANY sort of customer service, do not bother calling head office or talking to the person you signed up with because they all have no sense of customer service or solutions for any problems.

Been a member for almost 4 years and the staff have always been polite, and the location is always kept clean! I gave it 3 stars because months ago I had asked to take tanning off my membership and it never happened. Secondly, whenever my membership payment has went into my overdraft I’ve never had an issue, until recently twice now it got refunded and then I got charged a $42 fee. I still will never understand why that happened three times now and my bank doesn’t understand it either. I can understand it if it always happened when my payment went into my overdraft but it never has in the past. Not the staff’s fault (I don’t think), just made me want to cancel with them and take my business elsewhere. And it wasn’t until I canceled the other day that I was told I’m still paying for tanning! Again, almost a year ago I had asked to take it off because I wasn’t using it.

I was told in person that I could have a 12 lessons with a personal trainer within a year, and cancel within the first month and not be charged for it, while still paying for the gym membership. I didn't really want to have a personal trainer, but because I was told in person that it would be free, I figured I might as well. I was then told as I was cancelling that I was too late for the 7 day cancel time, and that I would now have to pay for a whole year of having a trainer. Yes, my contract does state that and I have signed it, but when you are being told one thing in person and then they point at the contract and ask you to sign, you don't really read it properly. I feel misled and lied to and I don't want to have to pay for trainer sessions that I didn't even want in the first place. I cannot recommend this shapes location or any shapes locations.

I have never been in a gym in my life! Was sure it was going to be very scary and uncomfortable. However signing up for shapes fitness also having a womens only gym. Has been the best decision I have ever made for myself. I also signed up for a personal trainer and she is amazing! Her name is Alice and I highly recommend you book time with her. After my first day at the gym and with her. She made me feel comfortable with everything I stayed longer after my workout and worked out on my own. And continued to go every day on my own. I love it ! Booked her for more personal trainer sessions because she makes me feel amazing about myself and what I can do. The women that work the frount desk always welcome you with a smile when you walk in witch makes you feel like they are even proud to see you come back. Today shapes had a free day so non members could come checkout the gym. I brought a friend with me and she was able to workout with me for free and is now considering signing up as well ! It's just how welcoming the saff makes you feel. You feel so comfortable being there. If your a women and aren't sure if you can do it. Or are sacred to make that first step. I highly recommend you walk in these doors you'll never regret it! I'm just a nomal person trying to loss weight. One day at a time this gym is helping me achieve my goal! My next step is to sign up for some of the classes they look like so much fun! And try out the stand up tanning get ready for summer. Thanks to the women that great me every day and my trainer. I hope this review can help someone like me get the reassurance that it's not going to be scary and you won't feel uncomfortable. Remember everyone had a first day at some point! Make today's yours!

Worst customer service ever! Signed up with Milli for a WEEK trial and that may have been the worst decision ever. Now i have collections calling me under a PRIVATE number everyday at 9am asking for a $10 payment. I've tried calling Shapes henderson many many times trying to straighten things out but front desk keeps telling me to "call back later" Save your time/money and dont bother with this gym.

I worked at shapes for just under a year. I left on what I thought was good terms during the second shut down due to new employment. When I left I gave two weeks notice sent my boss and any information that she needed regarding my departure and even informed her that I would be getting a membership once they re-opened because of how much I loved Shapes. Now I’m informed two weeks after getting my new membership that there is a rule that I am unable to come back to shapes for a three month “cooldown” period. I understand that there is this rule and respect that but it would have been nice if I was informed at the time of my resignation or when I got my new membership. The communication between management and employees, current and previous is atrocious. Throughout this whole process no one from management has ever reach out to me and when I personally try to reach out about the unprofessionalism by the manager at the Henderson location not only was my email forwarded to the person I was speaking about but I never received a response from anyone other than the person who insulted me over the phone. All I wanted to do was get a membership to an all women’s gym where I felt comfortable and where I Felt as though I could have a good experience. The gym itself is amazing and I know that a few bad experiences do not equal a bad company but this situation could have been handled so much better if I were to be given the same respect that I gave the people I was employed by.

Shapes has changed my life! I am a woman in my fifties. I go to Shapes for workouts and hot yoga 6 times a week. I have a personal trainer once a week who shows me how to workout correctly and is helping me to reach my targets. The instructors at Shapes are wonderful! Since I have been going to shapes, I don't feel pain when I walk, I have lost weight, I have more energy, I am happier, and I love and appreciate my body.

The front staff are extremely rude and do not give you all the information you need to know. The person I signed up with said if i signed up for a membership for 3 months it would be done after that 3 months. Next thing I know I get hit with 3 extra payments I had no idea about because I was NEVER TOLD I had to come in and cancel it in writing. On top of that I was roped into 3 extra payments after that as well. I was told that it was "too bad that i was never told how to cancel a membership". Shapes kept billing me as at April 2020 despite been closed due to COVID-19 they had stated on their website billing had stopped but they continued to bill me. I was warned by a few people before getting their membership now I understand why. Shapes is NOT a trustworthy company.

This is a great location, the girls at the desk (sasha) is such a great spirit and very motivating as soon as i walk in the door. Always brightens my day. I have a trainer and ended up making a great bond and personal friendship with her. Very clean and overall good experience every time i come. Highly recommended location for females.

She was friendly, professional and knowledgeable about the gym and all their services. When I went in for my tour I found the gym spotless and very organized regarding the covid 19 protocols again thanks to Sylvia who gave me the tour. I have worked 20 years in Hospitality and now, almost 20 years in long term care. I know sincere, caring and knowledgeable people when I interact with them...Sylvia has all of these great qualities which are so important when dealing with the public!! I had to repeatedly ask why they were still billing me for personal training when covid forced them to close and I was told it’s a separate agreement, what a scam. I had to fight to get them to stop the payments. I really hope this place goes bankrupt after all the people they scam.

I was at the gym earlier this evening and I heard the manager yelling at the front desk girl in the middle of the gym floor over something she could have talked to her in private. Very unprofessional and unneeded. Made me very uncomfortable. Be better Shapes.

I live close by the location on Henderson, but I normally visit the location on Narin. I love both locations! The one on Henderson is an all women’s Shapes. It was clean, nice equipment and they offer classes too! I divide my workouts between both locations. Nairn is much bigger and offers more machines, but also busier at times. I enjoy my Shapes membership and the price is easy on the budget.

This shapes is a great gym! Staff is nice and is welcoming. Equipment has good varieties ! I love that its a womans only gym and I have tried the hot yoga and loved it as well. I havent tried the classes yet but heard nothing but good things, so I need to do that! Definitely would reccomend!

I’ve received multiple emails telling me to review them. So here goes. The trainer I had pushed beach body, which is a joke, equivalent to selling Avon, and an obvious conflict. She spent most of the few sessions I attended taking about herself and the mundane details of her life. She Contacted my EMERGENCY contact to discuss payments. No confidentiality. The girl who usually works the desk is so stressed out with her personal life that she snaps at clients and is extremely rude. She rushed through the sign up and explained nothing. Looks like I will be paying them for nothing for a year for this. As I will never return. I will not post their names as I do believe in confidentiality. They don’t. I’d rather pay them for nothing than go back. Be VERY careful before signing anything kids. You will be stuck paying for nothing as the staff rush you though as fast as possible, again, providing no information. Read every word!!! Twice!

Locker room was modern and clean. I like the classes they offer. Wish they would get new treadmills. Most of the TVs on them dont work. And some of them the speed is really off.
