Planet Fitness was great! From the "social fitness" signs they had up to keep people 6ft apart, their clean stations for everyone to wipe down their machines (which everyone did), and the amount of machines available! Plus, its a very welcoming atmosphere. I'm not the most fit person (there's a reason I visit the gym haha), and I felt instantly welcomed and not judged at all! I look forward to visiting again soon!

Very affordable and classes are very interesting. You get a good workout with the classes. They also have an orientation session to show you how use the machines. Overall it's not an intimidating place to work out.

This place is a zoo! It doesnt seem to matter what time you go. Because the place is so busy, the cleaning seems to fall behind. The locker room is so cramped... this is the only location i have come by that only has 2 ...lovker pods... in the womens change room... not a great location gor the area given its use... they need more space.

Honestly the only gym chain I'd recommend. Their staff are amazing. The facilities are immaculate. I've never seen a gym this clean. I'm no gym hunk, and feel out of place at most gyms. But this one I feel comfortable. If anyone is considering joining, their rates are great. The black card is definitely worth the extra few bucks. Machines are in great condition, and are well maintained. Absolutely love going to any Planet Fitness.

I planned on joining the Planet Fitness gym for 1 month to see how it compared to my current gym. I tried to cancel my membership over the phone at the end of the month and was told I had to come in to cancel. I could not come in before they billed me for the second month. When I could finally go the gym I not only had to pay for the second month but also an annual fee, which they could not waive. This gym has very shady business policies. You are able to join and pay for your membership online, yet according to their policies you cannot cancel your membership online. You also need to provide a 7 day notice of cancellation before any charges to your account. They also have a no refund policy. The staff dealt with the issue professionally but not considerately. Their attitude does not encourage returning customers. Long story short, I ended up paying over $70 to try out the gym for one month.

Overall great gym. Staff is super nice and very friendly. Always clean and lots of cardio machines. Only thing is they need more benches, more cable pulls, ankle straps and they need to add mirrors to seperate section with the cable area and free weights. Otherwise price is amazing my old gym was so expensive will never leave Planet fitness!

Great gym for a great price. Really reminds me of Average Joe's from the movie Dodgeball. Great place if you want to go and get in shape or just get out of the house. Lots of machines, helpful staff and very clean. Great to work out in a place that is not intimidating.

Some may disagree but Planet Fitness, their staff are so consistent with maintaining a clean workout environment so that people can workout without much worry. Their mandatory requirement for masks starting August 1st makes me really happy. Great equipment, beginners, pros, everybody is welcome it seems, I always have a great workout, glad I got my membership.

Been a member for two years and this location has a reputation for low quality customer service. Broken/worn equipment, staff and manager could care less. Rude, disrespectful, and unhelpful staff and manager = terrible customer service, however Tyler seems to know what he’s doing, should be manager but I digress. Floors are dirty during the winter, no shoe cleaner or shoe racks at the entrance. No enforcement on mask mandate, staff and manager could also care less. Would not recommend this gym to anyone let alone mention I’m a member, embarrassing…

The place itself is very clean and organized. The manager of this location, however, is very unprofessional. Instead of listening to customers' complaints, she immediately recommended that I should cancel my membership, which I did. I have never seen a manager act so unprofessional and rude. She has no respect for people and was discriminating.

the gym is decent for a workout, however the management just wants you out the door... The quality of management and customer service is the worst I've seen in Manitoba. The manager is very rude and pushes the clients to cancel their membership because of a simple confusion or misunderstanding. The manager of the club is suppose to be held to a high standard and keep clients and give exceptional CUSTOMER SERVICE, however, in this case, the manager of the planet fitness on regent loves being rude and loves pushing clients to cancel their membership. this manger is not one bit professional and is not qualified to run a whole gym, nor knows how to communicate with customers as communication is the most basic qualification to work at a gym or any other customer service organization. The funny part is, she is the MANAGER of the club. if it was an employee maybe he/she doesn't have enough training or this may be their first job but this is a MANAGER of a GYM with hundreds of clients/members.

Going to a different gym asap, only going here now because my gym is still closed and the other gym in the area is hella expensive and further away. Pros: •Staff seems chill •Cheap •New equipment and utilities (showers, etc) •Utilities are really nicely done (stone panels and stuff) A fine place for any casual gym goer, think like 40 year old moms or boomers Cons: •Place doesn't even have a bench to barbell bench press. •Most of the gym area is cardio machines. •Buggy app •I have to remove the small plastic barcode card from my wallet everytime I come because it can't read it through the translucent platic My take away is this: primarily using cardio machines/lightly focusing on building muscles? Decent choice. Wanna get more serious, learn technique of barbell exercises, and over all be more engrossed in being a gymrat? Planet fitness ain't the move.

There aren't enough total body enhancement rooms in the black card spa, just one and even in the middle of the day it's 20 + minute wait to use it, and you can't go do other things while you're waiting. Also wish there were more recumbent bikes. I'm recovering from a foot injury and am still somewhat limited in what I can do, the recumbent bike is one of the few cardio machines I can do at a decent pace and they're often all in use. It would be nice too if there were more room for stretching.

I feel we are letting negative people influence these reviews too much (that is not to say that some are not from legit experiences or situations as mistakes will always occur) Those of us with good experiences should speak up and defend a business, that is always friendly (special notes to Ryan, Mark and Emma), been the 1st to go back to amazing 24 hour availability without raising prices on us, no small feat if you compare what other gyms do which is to restrict hours and raise prices. THANK YOU to All the hard workers who risk their health so we have a wonderful environment to improve our own the gym is always clean, people are friendly and constantly cleaning, they smile, greet you and try to say good bye and keep things clean and positive, what more could you ask at such reasonable rates? Thank you to all planet fitness staff for doing what you do on a daily basis, amazing and consistent job overall in my humble opinion

Do not sign up for a membership here. The gym is kind of always dirty because they let people wear outside shoes inside. Impossible to cancel membership and once you think it’s done, it’s not actually cancelled. Total scam. You definitely get what you pay for with this gym.

I really like this gym, the equipment and facility is great, however at 25% capacity, not worth standing in line in the cold for half an hour, and unfortunately, mgmt is not responding to the clients suggestions of sign up times which would be an easy solution-other gyms are using this method successfully.

I had given this place a 5 star review. Now it is 1 star. I walked in to this location tonight to cancel my membership. The guy that I talked to informed me that the money for next month would come out of my account on the 17th because I didn't give them 7 days notice. I told him that it wasn't going to be there and he said that they would send me to collections over $20. I have paid over $500 for past 2 years and haven't even walked in to the place once and now they want to screw my credit for $20. Watch out people.

I’m currently leaving this review because of my 2nd set of poor experiences today. Up until today I would have RAVED about this gym. Today, for the second time, I was left in the Total Body Enhancement for nearly TEN (yes 10) minutes. The first time was a few weeks ago and I actually CALLED the club from the machine to have them turn it on. Today I just left because I had had enough of this incompetence, no one said anything when I left. As well, for the second time, I had a horrible customer experience with Taylyn, who the first time DEMANDED that I use my legal name to book spa services, when for the last two months haven’t been an issue. And today she came RUNNING up to me exclaiming that “I had AGAIN put my name on multiple lists” which up until today, had never been an issue, and we were informed that that’s not allowed only literally 1 minute prior by another staff member. Taylyn was also sitting on a chair in the spa waiting area while customers stood. I spoke with the Assistant Manger, who while seeming to listen while I tried to explain everything, also didn’t seem to much care and doesn’t seem like anything will be done, but we will wait and see. I previously really enjoyed coming here, but after today and literally leaving in tears of frustration, will likely cancel my membership if there’s another negative experience. It’s unfortunate because if the organization and attention to spa clients was better there wouldn’t be any issues.

Beautiful location, very nice equipment. Staff are very friendly and gym is very clean. Only down side is the womens change room is too small. I'm not sure the size of the men's but there is too many women at this gym for the size of the locked room.

I moved to elmwood last week and before that I was living near the polo park and I went to polo park planet fitness branch. Only problem I had in this planet fitness is just the smells of the males change room. It smells so bad and I feel it bc staffs don’t clean the change rooms more often. I see a shoes which don’t have a owner in one of the lockers for a week and none of the staffs didn’t notice that. Please, managers of this branch know about this and make the staffs sanitize and clean the change rooms. It is so much suffering to breath there.

The gym is decent. However waiting in line everyday for half an hour is ridiculous. There is no reason planet fitness can't have some sort of online sign up sheet where you can sign up for one hour workouts so the next people can get in and get their workouts done in a reasonable time. Shapes does it and it works great. I've waited in line for half an hour watching people inside working out, got in, did my workout in one hour and as I was leaving the gym the same people were still working out going on 2 hours. There's no reason anyone should be in the gym for 2 hours especially when there's a 25% capacity limit. Come up with a better system, get with the times and use technology to your advantage and make for a better experience for everyone.

I’ve been a PF member for two years and have used 4 different locations. This location is closest for me and I like the gym but the staff are sorely lacking especially the young woman at the front. What an attitude! She needs a major tuneup. But if front desk staff are rude/slow blame it on management. Perhaps Pembina staff could train them!

3/5 here's why.. Great Atmophere, Lots of Brand new equipment, no free squatting rack though and could use more mirrors. Customer service is very lacking though they could learn a thing or two from the staff at Planet Fitness Pembina where I'm greeted with a smile and hello every visit. At Regent, the girl working at the desk wouldn't let me tan until she checked every single room to make sure no one other than me was waiting to tan when every single tanning bed was empty .. thanks for wasting 15 mins of my life. Will probably be sticking to Pembina location from now on.
