This Gym is included in the category of Gym.
It's a fun place nice people ,they to hire more cleaning staff ,I go everyone almost and see only one lady trying to do everything. It's a big place and that's not fair also things are not getting clean on the daily bracuse of it .
Nice location and good service,
There is Lifemark massage cabinet inside the gym. Raylee gave me the best massage I have ever had. Definitely, recommend this massage therapist for every one. She gave different kind of massage. From therapetic to relaxing.
nice staff! Comfortable, clean, and positive environment. large variety of equipment, all in good condition. have been going here for a few years and definitely recommend!
Good gym, poor change room maintenance, need multiple cleaning during the day, evening. Smells horrible in change rooms and lockers. Some staff needs to be more productive if slow times
The gym is fine, but they lie about their contracts. Be very careful when signing up for a membership. Also be aware of the 100$ buyout fee.
Got to feel the burn. The staff here are really friendly!
Too busy. There were 30 dudes in the change room. I split and went to Grant Park instead.
If you go the right time of day, this GoodLife is fantastic. The evenings after work is insanely busy, and difficult to get a workout in without getting creative. That being said, if you avoid peak hours, the gym itself is great. Most of the staff are very friendly, especially the receptionists at the front. The gym is always very clean when I get there in the morning, and the locker rooms and shower facilities are very nice. Having a towel service is also VERY convenient as I hit the gym on my way to work and don't want to carry a wet towel around with me all day. There could be a couple extra squat racks and cable machines and attachments, but that is just normal room for improvement. They just expanded this location to also include a new turf area for battle ropes, and I assume sleds/ farmer walks/ lunges, etc. As far as the clientele, the "regulars" in the morning are super friendly and supportive of each other. Some of the negative reviews are likely from people going during peak afternoon hours, when it is overcrowded and chaotic.
Equipment is crappy but otherwise an okay gym.
SCAM, went to try the 4 week free trial, asked their staff prior to them getting any of my information or even learning about their gym if this would would put in any contract or that I would pay for anything. If that was the case I wouldn't sign up, he reassured it wasn't and that I could leave anytime before the 4 weeks. I go to cancel my "trial" with one of their staff named Crystal, after filling out a survey she tells my to pay the $99 cancelation fee. I'm like what fee I wasn't told about any fee. She tells me it would've been in the email that was sent to me. I'm like I asked the trainer that signed me up about any fee and he said there were none as long as I cancel the trial before the 4 weeks. She looks me dead in the face and says "you should've checked the email, you had a ten days grace period to opt out after that you're in a one year membership". Now this is the first time I'm hearing about the ten days. So I tell her to freeze my account because I know they'd keep charging me for the days I didn't go to the gym but was still in that membership I was tricked to sign up in. Long story short I call customer service and they tell that the 4 weeks free trial was actually 4 weeks free of a one year membership which I was not told about. That freezing my account would charge me $5 which Crystal didn't tell me about. Luckily my dad understood and paid for the cancelation because he knew he could've prevented what happened. When I cancelled my account and paid that fee they still charge me $8 saying that's all they can do, like this gym is so desperate for money they are willing to lie and dry out there so called valued member for every dollar they have.
Extremely friendly and professional staff, received amazing customer service from both Drew and Shelly; clean facility with almost any machine you could ever need to use. 5 stars would recommend.
Best good life location I’ve ever been to! They keep it really clean and the staff is amazing!
Love being able to use the machines in the personal trainer zone (when they're not in use by pts and clients), when all four of the squat racks are full. The turf is a bit hard for my soft hands, definitely recommend using weight lifting gloves or a mat when you're doing bear crawls or planks. Prowlers are in good shape and glide nicely, staff is on top of the facility remaining clean, and their sauna is just lovely for the muscles after a hard workout. I would definitely recommend.
Not bad... My 2 stars is only because it closes early on weekend when I’m available to work out
Little bit too expensive and when u there more than a year and u want to cancel member ship they cancel it in a month not right a away. or if u pay money they will do it right away ????
27$ for a dropin damn get a grip.
Great gym. Never have trouble finding the equipment I need. Clean change room.
Long standing member. Clean facilities, plenty of equipment, friendly and welcoming staff. Having been a member at numerous other fitness facilities, GoodLife is the best value around.
Great facility! Sad front desk!
Great atmosphere, friendly and knowledgeable employees
Big gym with multiple machines. Ir can get busy in the after work rush but the mornings are perfect.
Like this place
Best gym in the world ....variety of specialized equipment. Built for the pros and amateur
It's clean, well organized, and quieter than the other locations. Pitch is usually available which is nice. Closest one to Saint Vital area in the wake of the never ending Bishop Grandin construction, which is inconveniently far, but I can't fault this location for that.
2.5 hrs of intense workout and now I am sore!
I like that all the GoodLife locations are consistent with each other. You know exactly what you're getting at each one. Same machines, weights, classes, facilities, atmosphere. It's great when you travel a lot to have a consistent workout routine and a consistent gym to go to.
the reviews are all pretty accurate, the gym is really clean and the staff are friendly. they're good about answering questions if you don't know the machines or techniques.. management could enforce the 'don't slam your weights like an a-hole' rule a bit more though
Take it from this former fat bas+@rd. This gym is a great place to turn your fitness level up. It’s well suited for everyone from gym junkies to the undermotivated. I joined in August & attend 2-3 times per week. Even with time off for surgery I’ve changed my body shape & improved my health, stamina & general outlook on life significantly, & I’m not nearly done. Great, motivated & friendly staff make the experience pleasant & not nearly as much of a chore as I thought it would be. THANKS GUYS!
The best facility out there perio
My favourite gym
Great and friendly staff. Good, clean facility. Overall great experience.
Clean and nice facility. Incredibly expensive. Do not bother with the personal trainers since I've yet to meet one who seemed to know what they were doing.
Clean and the staff are so friendly and nice
Friendly staff
Gym equipment is always well maintained and the service desk people are always friendly
Awesome place. Friendly and helpful staffs, clean facility. Big size location with pretty new equipments. They have everything that you need and can think of pretty much!
The night staff can be unprofessional sometimes depending who is there. I was looking for my shoes the other day and i over heard the conversations they were having at the front desk. I wont say what it was about on here since they were talking about very inappropriate stuff but it was very disappointing to hear the guy and girl talk like that around members. Be careful of who can hear you
Pretty sure I was baited on the phone to come down to get a sales pitch. Price given on the phone wasn't true. If I could go back in time I would have got the guys name on the phone and came down immediately to sign up. I had a tour a few years ago. Facility is very nice and if the gym was my primary exercise I would have signed up as Planet Fitness is the worst. Sorry but I'm not wasting anymore of my time emailing you.
Had a terrible experience going in to cancel both mine and my wifes membership. The woman i initially spoke with was both rude and condescending. I asked for a manager and was initially told he was not available and when i pressed he suddenly became available. Even then i was forced to take several extra steps to cancel both memberships
Place is big, a lot more crowded than other locations that I've been to. Staff always seem helpful. Patrons have a bad habit of leaving machines covered in sweat and there's a few creepy guys who like to wink at all the girls sometimes.
This gym is very large with a huge variety of equipment, but like most gyms it can get pretty busy if you go at the usual times. I like that you can use the big room they hold group fitness classes in when its empty to do whatever you want. I also love how nice the change rooms are, there is so much space in there that I can literally get ready for work there after my workout. The majority of the staff are really nice and helpful and have always answered my questions promptly. Only thing I didn't like is once working out with my friend he was accused of training me which is against their policy, and was told he wasn't allowed to do that and had to take a trainer course. Well we were just finishing up a workout and he was waiting for me to do extra work and was just standing there, minding his own business. The employee that accused us was kind of rude but it's all good, we talked it out and he never bothered us again.
Love this place. Costs a bit more but the staff is friendly and the facility is clean.
The scale in the men's change room is off at least 10 lbs. I was pretty shocked that a gym like that could not calibrate a scale. I weighed myself at my drs the next day and confirmed it was off. Wasnt impressed to say the least.
Sweat it out!
The staff are friendly and the gym's layout is super functional
Antisocial environment. Saturday night champion wannabe punks everywhere. Guys sliding notes in peoples lockers. Girls will call the cops on you if you even look at them.
Good facility, lots of machines, lots of classes. However the majority of members are vain with constant selfies in the squat rack, and girls working out with their asses flossed by their shorts. If you are serious about your workout, I suggest another facility. It's just a fashion show
Grant Park. Nice facility, very clean, lots of great equipment and very open!
Great facilities
Great staff and quality.
Nice, clean gym.
Big facility, some personal trainers appear snobby. Doesnt bother me. Good atmosphere other then that
Good gym overall. Missing this equipment tho, please invest in some so to make it perfect.
Asked an employee there to add towel service to my membership , she said it was good and added on , i go to another good life location and and had requested for a towel and was refused one. Embarrassing experience
this place is nice. but getting expensive. I just want to lift weights. not be part of a social club where nobody talks to each other. just judge on looks.
I like it here they are friendly and it's clean and a girl is able to lift her weights without a bunch of juice monkeys around! Plus it's new which I love
First time there, great experience
I got really drunk one October Friday and I woke up in front of the door here on Saturday morning, I was sick as a dog and still pretty hammered. The staff was really nice and helpful. They did not call the cops, just an ambulance. The next week I was feeling thankful and decided to get a membership here. It's really clean inside and the staff is fantastic and they have weights and all these different kind of machines that people use for sweating. It's pretty awesome here, I've been sober since that October night. It's changed my life.
Great atmosphere always a good flow on the equipment
Great helpful staff
I liked everything about this gym except, the membership is really expensive.
Great place to work out. Freindily staff and the facilities are always clean.
Great and friendly staff. The centre is always clean and well maintained. Classes are a ton of fun!
A wonderful facility with even better staff! I love how welcomed and valued I feel every time I come in. They make a real effort of chatting with you about your goals and making you feel included when you come in. Super encouraging and always so friendly. The facility is also well maintained, clean, and I never have a problem finding equipment I need.
Love this place clean and friendly staff
Friendly staff. Clean well equipped gym, great variety of classes. Showers are clean and always stocked with shampoo.
Slightly annoying to get to by car and has a small amount of squat racks. Has lots of hammer strength machines and cardio equipment though.
Lots of equipment and generally not too crowded. Good amount of space in the change rooms and quite a few showers compared to other gyms.
Good gym. Always clean. Wish pricing wasn’t as high and without contracts. Also, isn’t truly 24/7, just Mon-Thur.
used the 3 free day trial here, actually got 4 days free. first impressions are that this place is extremely clean. change rooms, equipment is all spotless. lots of room upstairs and really nice quality squat racks with pads for deadlifting. staff and members seem friendly, although i never went at peak hours. my only gripe is that i wish it was open 24/7, i'd love to have 4 am workouts everyday, but i understand that the level of cleanliness would suffer from that. regardless, this place is for sure a 5 star gym.
Such a nice place with lots of equipments and good trainers
Solid staff and equipment, but it's always fairly busy so it can be frustrating to wait on equipment. Price is alright but the volume of people is overwhelming at times lol
Clean place amazing staff
Fresh and clean environment to work out in! I do not plan to change gyms for a very long time.
great gym, getting busier and needs to be bigger especially now that the women's only GL gym 1 km away has closed
I'm a member.
Great place for a fitness novice to get up to speed. Supportive, helpful staff, good exercise facilities, and nice locker room facilities. Not rated 5 stars because it's a bit expensive of you pay the standard price and the staff are very aggressive at upselling personal training or classes at extra cost. However, there are deals to be had to keep the cost competitive - in my case I got a deal by signing up through my union.
Even during peak hours I never had any issues with overcrowding. Everything looks neat and clean and staff are nice once you made it past the point where they try to sell all their expensive options.
Be sure that you get a copy of your contract and are 100% sure of the commitment period in case of $99 buy out fee because they won't tell you ! I wasn't aware that I had to give them a 30 day notice when cancelling and was forced to pay the remaining 2 payments.
Love the big open space. Change rooms are clean. Great staff!
It's a gym....lol
Did not email my boyfriend or contact him what so ever when they reopened after first bout of covid. He found out after he realized 3 payments came out. Staff at the regent location were very rude to him on the phone about a refund for the months he could have been using the facilities. Then they gave him a number to call about the refund, no one answered or returned his messages. They lost a regular who went 5 days a week over 3 months of payments and very rude about it!! Terrible place to invest in. There are nicer cheaper places to workout at! Please beware. Just another company that doesn't care!
Good life Regent is great. However, their hours kind of suck as they are closed early Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I either go to this location or kenaston. Usually a pretty clean facility and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I've been going here on and off for a total of 2 years now.
Good place for work out
Good clean facility. The only disappointment i have with the club is no free customer wifi.
Yoga classes
Staff was a little pushy to open up a membership after a free trial. The facility itself was ok. What lacked in space was made up for with a good variety of equipment. However I found the membership prices to be too high given what the gym has to offer.
I use to go to Good life on Regent. I was turned off when I forgot my runners there and a few days later I went back and they were "no where to be found." I was told by the manager That there was a "huge" bag of shoes in the back room but nobody had time to go look for me. Runners aren't cheap and so for me to go buy New ones just because the staff is too lazy to look for me is ridiculous. I also had problems with one of the girls watching my son. All she did was complain he cried too much And was constantly coming to get me from my workout. I talked to some of the other child minders and they never once complained about him. He was just a small baby- babies cry! Do your job or find another one. I will no longer support this lazy business.
Great location lots of room. Lots of supportive members
Staff are nice for the most part, and it offers alot of different programs there is something for everyone.
Lots of parking. Great staff. Great Daycare.
The gym is kept clean and equipment is well maintained
Equipments are good and nice gym. But one of staff member behave very badly even though i was very gentle and calm. Customers are not the right place where you show your physical strength." Will take you out of the gym" are the unacceptable wording from him. I dont want to give his name and i am very old customer of goodlife. I explained to front staff what happened probably she had checked cameras and she might be aware. Hope this will not happen again.
I had MJ Berk as my personal trainer and she was absolutely amazing. The facility is always so clean and nicely air conditioned. I would never go to another gym now.
Good gym, be wary of canceling contracts. They don't tell you once the contract is up and you cancel that you have to pay for an extra 30 days. No option. So they take your last payment out after you can no longer use it. I would not recommend this gym strictly because of this. If I sign up for a year, I should not have yo pay for an extra month.
Great size, lots of equipment and very clean considering. friendly staff and well maintained.
it's good place
Love it. I go to Portage and Main. The classes rock, the instructors are fabulous. Regents great too when I go
This place should provide free wi-fi just like the other goodlife location.
Great place to work out. Friendly staff and modern equipment. Person training is not cheap, but worth the money.
Closed but still taking payments out of My Grandsons account...Whats up!
Love it but needs smoothie bar
Terrible customer service, staff will lie to your face about everything. Paid for 3 trainer sessions, asked if I could decide to use them later they said no problem, even when i specifically asked if i could use it in a year or whenever I would want to (since you pay for it) And it expires the next month and they don't tell you. (Asked for a refund before expiry since I didn't use any and that was "not possible") Was told it's anytime cancellation, no charge just schedule an appointment. Upon cancellation they charge you $100 and continue to take 1 month of membership fees even though you paid a cancellation fee. Equipments nice but I will not be using this gym and not recommending it due to terrible customer service and being lied to.
Great place great staff. If you're looking for personal training you are best to go with Drew or MJ
Goodlife has added into contracts that if your gym is closed, the date of your contract is extended and you will have to pay a 20% fee of the total contract cost just to cancel. I signed up for 6 months and because of closures, my contract was extended. I am moving so can no longer use Goodlife, but am being forced to pay 20% (over $700) just to cancel. This was not even highlighted as important or discussed when signing up. This is absolutely a cash grab and corporate Goodlife does not care about their customers. I would NEVER recommend Goodlife to ANYONE. They will just steal your money. I honestly believe people should be given the option to cancel if it is past the original agreed upon contract end date if it is not their fault the contract was extended. I do not control the pandemic. it is not my fault the gym was closed yet I am punished. DO NOT choose Goodlife
Staff are friendly at the front counter, sales people are commission and it def feels like they are. The personal trainers are just a club here, I've never seen clients get thinner or noticibly sweat in presence of the trainers. All the trainers do is sit around a table and socialize, there's a reason they don't get more clients they're lazy and here for a quick buck. I haven't seen the same trainers here for more than a year, quick turn around time for them. The gym is big and even when it's busy you can still find equipment to use. Usually pretty clean and big change rooms. The gym its self is a 4/5 but the lazy trainers and rude commission sales bring it down to a 2/5. Front counter is always nice though.
Great gym! Atmosphere is good. Nice open feeling with two stories equipment is spaced out pretty good. Biggest complaint is it can get really busy at times. There is lots of equipment at this gym excellent for free weights, lots of machines, and lots of cardio equipment. Highly recommend!
Love gym
The gym is a lot of equipment to use when l go it isn't crowded They have 3 levels of prices to choose from, very nice atmosphere. The staff are very helpful
Great club clean great equipment no judgement great staff.
Very clean and great equipment but I wasn’t too happy to find out it’s only 24 hours a few days a week since there’s a big sign that says 24 on the building. Showed up Saturday morning at 6 for a workout to find out they don’t open until 7. Otherwise very happy with the facility and staff.
Really nice gym. Everything is super clean.
Good gym
Very great Fitness center. Enough machines of evert sort to accomodate everyone. Great promotions that are included when being a member.
Feel welcomed, machines are in very good condition.
An amazing gym if your looking to push yourself with all the conventional lifts. The 3 Eleiko Platforms they have are amazing to do these on and make you feel powerful doing it on them. They have the largest turf zone I believe at this moment of all the Goodlife locations and I don't feel like I'm working out on top of anyone with their layout. Two floors help with dispersing everyone nicely. Their facility has always been clean, compared to their competitors but with the COVID I feel even more safe with the extra measure they have taken as well as staff cleaning on a regular interval. The only improvements I would do is have heavier dumbbells as they only go up to 100lbs as well as new flat bench press which have the racks that are able to move just above the chest to maximize your lifting potential if you're going for your 1REP MAX. BUT overall this is one the best gyms in that area which has a wide range of competitors in the area. Try it out if this gym aligns with your fitness goals! They did also have an amazing JUMP (DAYCARE) program as well as pre covid and the attendants were fully attentive to the kids their. but I found their ratio from workers to kids low compared to the Grant Location.
Open 24 hours
Clean facility and nice staff. Jamison was very professional and not pushy during consult appointment. Lots of helpful tips.
Always a great place for a workout. Ryan the GM is amazing and keeps the place in top shape 24/7.
Goodlife is a good gym, but they raise the prices on memberships, and now a 30 dollar walk in for when I want to bring my friends to workout with, when they just go to other gyms. All goodlife is now is a money grab, they could care less about anything else. Will be looking for a new gym.
Super disappointed with the initial 3 session "personal training". All the guy did was show me how to use the machines and did 3 sets of squats and leg press with me. I feel completely ripped off as I got nothing out of it. (I thought I would get a workout routine at the end) However it is a nice facility and have a variety of equipment.
I'm just not sure why they are not opening back 24 hrs ? All the other gyms are open 24 hrs again. Like is it that hard for them lol? I like the gym and its really close to my place. Hopefully they open back 24 hrs
Excellent gym with lots of equipment, good deals and great staff.
Very busy during peak hours. Night is the best time to go. Lots of equipment, clean facilities.
Decent gym. unhelpful staff. Had one even lie to me, about it being illegal to pay up front for a membership. That's not true. Unethical business practice. Beware
Good place to workout. Tho the prices are expensive.
Great equipment, great atmosphere, large locker rooms with showers.
Super clean facility , friendly helpful staff
Lying about rules on contract. Strongly recommed go to snap fitness or some place without contracts. Very dishonest and rude.
