What makes Liz uniquely special is her total focus on you as an individual. She tailors her workouts to your specific needs, and adapts them every session as your needs change (injuries, goals, energy level). In my 3 years with Liz, I have never had the same workout twice. Workouts with Liz are extremely efficient in that she creates exercises that deal with or work multiple muscle groups or strengthening goals concurrently. Finally, she is a great listener - both to what you say you need or want and what you show you need or want. I can not recommend Liz and her team more highly.
I have been working out with Team Fitness for more than 10 years! I love all the trainers, but have been working with Pam most recently. I get the personal expertise that I cannot find anywhere else. Twice a week I get to push myself with heavy weight training sessions, mixed with lighter days including some cardio. I started working out at Team Fitness thinking all I needed was someone who could set up an exercise routine and make me feel guilty enough to not quit going. Little did I know that a major component of my program would involve successfully rehabbing long-standing issues, that I would look forward to working out, or that I would get into probably the best shape of my life-a major factor enabling me to enjoy challenging horse-riding treks around the world! I have had the privilege of having Liz Sage as my trainer and fitness expert for the past 2 years . I presented at the Team Fitness facility with a number of muscular skeletal problems. As I had worked out diligently for most of my life , I believed that that I was strong and well balanced muscularily. After a thorough initial assessment I realized that this was not true. Posture and muscular imbalances were actually at the root of my physical problems. After 2 years of diligently training with Liz two times per week and training on my own using the knowledge and training techniques Liz has provided me with, all of my physical imbalances have largely been resolved. My quality of life has improved dramatically! As I continue to train with Liz I realize that EVERY training session I learn something new and continually improve my technique. I have been training with Liz for the last year. She came highly recommended and I have come to see why. Liz is very knowledgable and professional. I crushed two discs in my back about a year ago, putting my future mountain biking and skiing activities in question. I retained Liz Sage of Team Fitness to help me repair the damage and restore my ability to continue with my favorite sports. The results have been amazing, although one has to diligently follow the program outlined by the personal trainer. It's hard work but worth it and, based upon everything I've heard and read, far more successful than surgery. I'm back on my bike and skis and am more fit and healthier today than I've been most of my life. Tried out a mountain bike camp with coach Liz this weekend and was blown away by the incredible sense of community and support she instantly created. She was organized, knowledgeable, compassionate, and took the time to connect with every single rider in our group and give tons of helpful personalized feedback for each of us. I havent done any personal training sessions here but I can say the gym is pristine. Like, the gym probably smells better than most peoples cars. The changerooms are always very clean and its easy to get in and use the equipment you need and get out. The environment is really accepting, friendly, and you dont feel uncomfortable going there as a female.
I have been so very lucky to be able to train with Liz for just over 5 years now. I do not need to tell her anything other than I just show up and she does the rest. I have a very high stress job and I am able to talk to her about anything without judgement. Since I began with Liz, my physical and mental health have soared!!! I would never go anywhere else as this is not just a job for Liz, it is who she is. Compassionate and caring and that's it!!!
Team Fitness is the best experience I've had. And, I've worked out at a lot of places from Equinox to Stanford. The reason Team Fitness is so good is because they offer something that no other fitness & training center does. They combine training and skill development for every level of person with the same degree of passion and inspiration. Liz is a competitive athlete so if you want a hard work out, you can get it. She's also a coach and a teacher and understands all of the things that get in the way of committing to fitness and training. And, she pays close attention to technique - the way you do an exercise really matters. I've seen Liz work with overweight people, clients with chronic disease, and full-on athletes. It's just a great experience.

She is friendly, professional and fun. Each workout is a new routine, so it is never boring. I love working out at Team Fitness! I’ve had the pleasure of working together with all of the current trainers over the years and they are all extremely knowledgeable and true professionals in their field. They use a variety of exercises - keep it fresh, always challenge you, but help keep you working out safely within your limits. But, just as importantly, they make workouts fun! I would highly recommend the club chick program. As a beginner rider I learned valuable skills, confidence and a love for mountain biking. I received excellent instruction and great value. I will be signing up for another class!
i have a physical therapy degree, so I am very familiar with exercise programs. This year, I have needed Liz's experience and training to coach me with strengthening for a hip injury. Her knowledge and careful guidance have been amazing. I am so impressed with her talent for understanding and progressing strengthening programs for each individual's needs.
Really enjoyed the recent Beginner Bold Women's MTB day camp. Great instruction that builds on skills as the day progresses. Lots of time to practice newly learned skills in a very supportive environment. Looking forward to the Intermediate Friday sessions!
First class training with first-class people and great equipment.
I wanted to be able to learn a new sport to keep up with my teenage son but felt a bit nervous and overwhelmed with learning how to ride a "real" mountain bike. The Chicks course was exactly what I needed to gain confidence in learning how to climb, use my front brakes, when to use the dropper post, and how to ride! After taking the weekend clinic, I was so much more confident on my next ride and had more fun instead of worrying! Would highly recommend Coach Liz' skill camps and look forward to learning more from her!
I spent a lot of time and money for issues related to a shoulder injury as well as an Achilles tendon issue. I was referred to Liz and it was the best thing that happened in terms of my healing. Liz is so knowledgeable and so aware of what needs to be strengthened and in what order. I had some previous bad experiences with personal trainers as they did not pay attention to what I said or how I performed the exercises. Liz is the BEST! I'm delighted with how much I have strengthened and how I can do things which I did not believe I could do, such as incorporating weights in my workout. Because I did not have correct posture, I would always injure myself more than any benefit I received from a trainer. I feel very lucky to have found Liz!
My husband and I have been training with Team Fitness for over 10 years. Liz has a wonderful team of very knowledgeable trainers who understand the needs of any level of athleticism. We have worked with many trainers at Team and all have been equally great. Liz's work ethic is empowering. We wouldn't go anywhere else.
Liz runs an excellent bike program that I highly recommend! She easily catered to the different skill levels in the group and we all went home better riders than when we arrived.
