This place has so much perfume and cologne it gives me a headache and causes my asthma to flare up. Impossible to find a sales associate and line ups are so long. I rarely go near The Bay but had to after Christmas and it's worse than I remember from 8 years ago.

I give up! Since La Baie opened the service has always been horrible. NO SERVICE. Employees are never at their station. If you need to find help look between the clothing racks. They’re normally hidding there chit chatting or playing on their cell phone. UPDATE: 2021-09-03 at 11:11 zero greeting from the staff. All had their head down and chatting to each other and seem reluctant to work… So I Went back today to look at shoes for my daughter. The employee at the cash was still counting her loose change for the cash register. It was 11:15 AM. I patiently waited until she was done before approaching her. When I ask her if you could help me check a size and availability of this shoe on the display, she told me she could NOT and inform me to go to the customer services counter for such inquiry. I was perplexed and questioned if it was normal that in the shoe department she could not verify on the computer the size and availability of a shoe. She brushed me off and encouraged me to see customer service because she really can’t do anything for me. I gave it another chance but now La Baie Lasalle never again!

BE CAREFUL ORDERING ONLINE!!! All the items in my order were sold out and The Bay canceled my order but still charged my credit card. Even after calling customer service to have it rectified they have told me that they need more time due to an error on their end. This is happening to many people!

I continue to be amazed Hudson's Bay survives. There are some good buys in the store, but you must be attentive or you'll pay much more for an item you can get elsewhere for less. On the other hand, some items such as jewellery are very reasonably priced. I would say probably the best selection of quality furniture and beds in Kamloops. It's still an old way of displaying and selling, so if you're into retro, Hudson's Bay is for you. You will get the full experience from the late 1980s decor and cash registers to the signage and doors. Heck, it even smells the same! The best spots to see the retro is the elevator and escalators. Oh, really decent views of the valley from the second floor furniture section.

We got a beautiful real leather couch, however the delivery was a horrible process where they basically made us take multiple days off work because they were guessing at the delivery date. Instead of placating us, we would have just appreciated a 1 phone call with the real delivery date. Instead we got rid of our old couch to prepare too early thanks to these wish washy guesses and ended up sitting on an air mattress for over a month while being told every other week "maybe next week". Very bad handling of the situation. I don't care it took a while because of covid, but I do care I was lied to just to placate me and ended up sitting on the ground.

She made it clear to me that the 2 refunds were made on the card. I had to go back a second time and they must have looked at the cameras. I waited 30 minutes. In the end, no excuse or compensation to forgive the fault that has been committed. I could never have realized it and I would have been stupidly robbed. not counting the 15 minutes just to process the refund and receive my money because there was not enough money in the cash register. Lors de mon remboursement, la préposée m'a remboursé les articles de la première facture sur la carte crédit, puis les articles de la deuxième facture en argent liquide sauf qu'elle ne m'a jamais donner l'argent liquide. Elle m'avait clairement fait comprendre que les 2 remboursement était fait sur la carte. Il a fallu que je retourne une deuxième fois et ils ont dû regarder les caméras. J'ai attendu 30 minutes. Au final, aucune excuse ni aucune indemnisation pour pardonner de la faute qui a été commise. J'aurais pu ne jamais m'en rendre compte et je me serais fait voler bêtement. sans compter les 15 minutes juste pour traiter le remboursement et recevoir mon argent, car il n'y avait pas suffisamment d'argent dans la caisse.

Extremely disappointed with my customer service experience with the Bay. As a customer who has been an avid shopper at the Bay , I will now refrain from shopping at your store in the future. In short, I ordered all my gifts online at the Bay well before Christmas. When my package arrived it was missing an item. No problem, it happens. When I called the hotline number provided to state an Item was missing, the representative reassured me that it was on its way. Flash forward 2 weeks later and my missing item still not delivered. Called for the second time, the representative informed me that item was out of stock and they had to order it from a different location. Ok no problem, it happens. This representative reassured me this package would come in time for Christmas. Flash forward a week, still no package. I called back for a third time to have the representative say that if I wanted my item in time for Christmas that I would have to drive to Toronto to pick it up? I live in Niagara. Now I have to scramble to purchase a gift 2 days before Christmas. Representative while apologetic did not offer any solution to make it right. Extremely disappointed.

I have to say the men's clothing styles at this store are lame. It took me 45 minutes to find a sweater I would actually wear. Why so many v-necks??? There's a complete lack of flair in the styles presented. Odd brand names and strange colors and way too much plaid. The other thing that was weird was that they were selling NASA t-shirts. SpaceX is where it's at. NASA hasn't been cool for decades. Yawn.

I came to the store at 1630 for quick shopping, no one at front who welcome me said anything. At 1635 I was told that I cannot use fitting room because the store closed at 15 min. I understand that with "new normal" staff has more work to do, but if that's the case - they should close the store at 1630 or don't open at all if it's such a big deal to serve the customers while the store is open. Or at least inform them at entry that the fitting rooms are closed instead of wasting my time finding sizes in unorganized store just to hear that I can't try anything on ..

There is lots of variety . I can usually find what I'm looking for but sometimes takes a while to find stuff. Items are all over the store so you have to really keep your eyes ooen . Prices are average beat to go early on big sale times. Great for honouring prices like buying something and then taking your recipts days later to get the sale price. Have been shopping at Hudson's Bay for a very long time. Over the last few months have noticed that their clothes and shoes are becoming increasingly uninspired and tired. I understand that the company is in financial trouble, same as Sears found itself several years ago. But it is a tricky downward spiral and management should already know this. Outdated clothes should be deeply discounted and latest fashions available and displayed prominently. The Mayfair store looks and feels tired, and that is worrisome. There doesn't seem to be anything new and fresh. Staff is lovely though and being that there's no other traditional department store, there's no lateral competition. But other retailers are closing in, especially in clothes and shoes. Plus online shopping is growing in Canada. HBC needs to wake up, get better buyers and start presenting more flattering fashions to their customers.

Finally...a beautiful, new store to rival all the other stores in this mall. I hope the modern touches in this Bay store inspire the rest of them to upgrade, as well. In my opinion, ALL the other Bay stores in the Montreal area should take a lesson from the progressive, modern approach in design, of this particular store. I love the use of plants, displayed here and there and the big windows, allowing in some natural light. Also, the ventilation system is top notch. Ever notice how other Bay stores feel stuffy? Well, not here. Air quality makes a huge difference in how one feels, while shopping. This store has great ambiance. I love the tall ceilings. The store is candy for the eye, as well. The lighting makes everything ????twinkle and shine????. Congratulations, to The Bay, at The Angrignon Mall, in LaSalle, on a job well done. This is, by far, the nicest Bay store I've ever gone to. This is my first negative review but I feel obligated to leave it. My girlfriend bought me a nice Armani watch from the Bay for our Anniversary. She did a lot of research and was rewarded because I loved the one she chose. I went to wear it for the first time, though, and found there was a small crack in the glass on one of the sides. She brought it back to the store to ask about getting it fixed and was told she didn't buy warranty (which wasn't offered during the sale), and there was nothing they would do. She took the watch to a repair shop and they said it was clearly a stress defect in the manufacturing since there wasn't a nick or scratch on it and we were quoted at close to $200 to replace the glass (which is nearing the price of the watch). I tried to contact a customer service representative from the Bay online twice and was given an email saying someone would respond but I haven't been contacted weeks later. So now my girlfriend feels terrible because her anniversary gift is defective, I feel terrible for her, and we are faced with using it as is or paying almost the price of a new one to replace the defective glass. My recommendation would be to shop somewhere else if you want to buy something nice for a loved one.

I had a very frustrating experience in the shoe department today. The shoe clerk was obviously not handling her frustration very well and was abrupt, rude and unable to manage the customers well. The bay has some decent discounted racks where you can get prices 80%off , this is a place my grandmother shopped for us when we were young it's been around and they offer alot of different departments in the store , there is not many places left where you can buy a new dishwasher and a pair of jeans it's a dieing breed so it's good to support these stairs before Amazon takes over.

I generally find that this location beats the downtown location. Excellent selection of plus-sized clothing and footwear. Had a great experience yesterday bringing my boyfriend's new watch in to have a link removed. We had tried the downtown location and there was nobody there to help us, so we tried Mayfair and we were in and out in less than 10 minutes. Very professional!

I have always enjoyed doing my Christmas shopping here ever since I was young. I find regular prices are a bit high but when sales are on you can get a really good deal on some good quality items. There's no real department store left like this one and I will continue to support it as long as the quality is there.

The decline in popularity that they are experiencing is completely founded, due to their lack of product and till placements around the store, organization, helpfulness, productivity when helping customers. Will not be surprised if it declares bankruptcy in the near future, which is highly likely. 2 stars because I have better experience shopping online.

Not the best Bay I've been too. Covid might be more of a factor than i know, but it just didn't have the same atmosphere? For me, it was the styles of jeans and pants available seemed limited in variety even across brands. Seemingly had the same 3 or 4 styles, with minor variation by different brands. It was bland.

I was out doing some Christmas shopping as well as shopping for a birthday gift for my mother. I noticed one particular woman walking very quickly "shopping" but she kept rendezvousing back around to where I was every couple minutes. Then I noticed the walkie talkie attached to her purse. This prompted me to pay a little more attention to her. By this point it was extremely obvious she had decided I needed to be monitored while I shopped.. I was not shoplifting nor did I plan to. I would have purchased probably around $300 worth of merchandise fromthe store but decided to put down my basket and leave immediately. She was quite rude and obvious and I felt as if I was being harassed so I decided enough was enough. I do believe profiling is illegal as is harassment and I felt as though she was committing both and I had fallen victim to it. Thanks for the great experience Hudson's Bay!

My wife and I had the opportunity of a daughter's visit to buy her a good vacuum cleaner yesterday and we found a very good deal from Miele on the website but could get no straight answer as to whether any were in stock. We came to the Bay at Mayfair and explained our problem to Vicki who immediately went and searched the store room and found just what we had hoped for as it was the only model on sale and we really like Miele. After having had a lot of frustration, this excellent customer service really made our day. It was a pleasure to meet her and it has enhanced our impression of the Bay's customer service a great deal. Thank you Vicki

Service is terrible. I ordered a mirror on line and it came with a scratch in the middle (it happens, but here is the opportunity for the Bay to make it better and wow us with customer service) NOPE. I called the call centre and after waiting for over 30 mins, the agent sent me an email to take a picture of the scratch and while i was doing that he hung up on me. I emailed him my phone number along with the picture and waited patiently for a call back which did not happen, so today i tried the online chat function and they told me to call the call centre. I have now received 3 emails from the call centre saying they have resolved my issue and I still have a scratched mirror and don't have a new one, so clearly it is not resolved. Looks like i will have to return the mirror (note: Wayfair and the rest of their competition would not send me out in the middle of a pandemic to return an item that was damaged and that they had a photo of) and they wont send me a new one until they receive mine, credit me and i re-order (which means i have to call the call centre again to receive the free shipping). Really disappointing. Guess this is why the organization is struggling to stay relevant. Wake up!

The Bay is nostalgic for me. A department store of yesteryears. It has everything!! There was minimal staff, but enough to get help when paged. I was disappointed at an entitled customer demanding service. During this pandemic, I am thankful for any staff that was there!! Kudos for the staff at helping each other even when it wasn't your department. I bought my daughter gold earrings for her 16 birthday. I'm hoping they will mean something extra because they came from the Bay. Where I've been shopping for 45 years!!

OMG. Guess what happened at the bay!!! So let me start from the beginning. A few weeks ago, I met some girls at my friend raf's house. And today we were like "wanna watch a movie?" And then we were like "no" and then Alex was gonna play dark souls and we were like "no". So then we went to the bay!!!! And so we're walking around, emma's like, "let's play hide and seek"! But it didn't happen. But then who do we see but: the French girls!! Needless to say, raf had a great time. 5 stars!

I'm beginning to find myself more and more disappointed with the in store selection here. It's almost as though they've over-committed to so many brand names that they are unable to stock a reasonable selection of items from each designer. My recent experience here was with the Levi's Jeans. If you have a certain waist size, then you can only have whatever leg length they determine goes with that waist size. For example, I'm a 32W and 30L, but they only stock 32/32. Also in their Levi's section, their 511 jeans are only available in 2 colours! When you go onto the Levi's website you can choose your individual waist and leg sizes, and you have a huge selection of colour choices depending on what style you've chosen. My wife continues to have issues with them actually keeping stock of items in her size, which is a fairly standard medium/small range. Clean up your act Bay! Stock your shelves with common sizes and start committing to fewer brands.

This is a latest addition of Hudson Bay Department Store in the big LaSalle shopping centre, taking over the closed Target Store site and the closure of Sears. I love the Bay in Mayfair for its styles, selection and Sales! There were hardly any shoppers the few days before Christmas. I would hate for us to lose this store. I didnt feel the usual old fashioned Christmas excitement in the air. No perfume smells, last min sales, huge lineups and hustle and bustle of store clerks. I know that co-vid is the main culprit, but I hope that we dont all turn to internet shopping and end up with no stores to go shopping in .Part of the Christmas spirit for me comes with being a part of the excitement with everyone out and about. And the Bay was one of nostalgic Christmas places for me.

Pleasant enough staff, better staffed than I remember over the years. However, yesterday we were served by two young women in bedding dept. One of them was doused in some sickly sweet perfume, which I found nauseating. When I mentioned it discretely to the other young lady who rang me out at check-out, the supervising cashier (older) overheard us and said "What?." Then, when I explained to them again that I was overwhelmed with strong perfume by their floor staff, neither of them said ANYthing. She quietly rang me up, and said NOTHING, not even a thank you, or goodbye. Weird! Like, I was the offending person? Hello? How thoughtless is it to 1) douse yourself in perfume when serving the public? And 2) not even attempt to respond to a customer concern (not a complaint)??? Disappointing
