Spinco Ottawa is absolutely amazing! From the moment you walk in, you are greeted by the staff members who are all so warm and welcoming. Being new to spin, I was quit nervous and having the instructor explain how to clip in and show me how the bikes work I was put at ease immediately. On top of that, the workout itself is great! The vibe in the studio really makes you want to push to those new levels and excel as an individual. I will definitely be back!

I love this place. Once I got over the intimidation, I was hooked. I had not done spin in years and was encouraged by a friend to try it out. It is challenging, inspiring, energetic and fun. The music is loud and proud. The room is dark so no one can really see you nor do they care what you look like or how you are doing. Newbies need do not need to feel intimidated. My 13 year old daughter does this with me now. I have lost 12 pounds and my cardio has significantly improved. You get out of it what you put into it. The instructors are great. I have never experienced any rudeness that was reported on other reviews. Just friendly and helpful attitudes.

Awesome experience. It was my first spin class ever. Everyone was incredibly friendly and at the ready to show me where to go and what to do. My instructor was Brittany Burk, and she was amazing. Very motivational and a great DJ lol. I really appreciated how present and into it she was. If you sign up for a class, do yourself a favor and show up 15 minutes early. The only set back was the sound system, music was great but alittle difficult to hear the instructor at times. Overall a great experience and I would do it again.

I'm not one to ever write a bad review, I understand some things are out of the business' control, but some understanding should be shed. I had taken my first spin class at Spin Co on August 1 with the purchase of the 2-week unlimited pass. Unfortunately, I hurt my ankle during the session and had to leave early. My ankle and leg only got worse (pictures attached) and I spent the night at ER and left with crutches. All to say, I didn't have a chance to write earlier in regards to possibly requesting a refund on that purchase. I wouldn't have been able to attend any upcoming classes and I am pretty sure the pass had expired by the time I reached out. Spin Co Ottawa replied back, informing me that "[they] have no problem holding [my] membership and then extending it from the day [I] hurt [my]self. " The problem with that is, I won't be attending another class. The last exchange with Spin Co was on August 19. Yikes.

Spinco isn't like any other workout I have had before. The space and atmosphere is so unique, the music and lights with dark room is so cool and the teachers are incredibly friendly. The whole class you are being pushed by others around you and the teacher to keep working hard, the music helps the fact you are dieing inside haha. ONLY reason I give it a 4/5 is the fact I struggle with anxiety a lot and the spin room triggered it pretty hard. Make sure you ice your bum the next day, you will feel it. Classes are pricey at $20/ one session, but you get shoes, towel and locker. I can see how people can get super into Spinco, but I think I will stick with hot yoga. If you want an exciting and dynamic workout, please give this a try! PS pre book sets for Spin online. They fill up SOOO fast, the front desk lady was so lovely and saved me a seat, but I almost lost the opportunity. Bless to that front desk lady

SPINCO is an amazing community! I feel welcomed, and empowered to take on a class every time I walk in the studio. It's super clean and someone is always around to help you set up your bike. Since finishing my swimming career I've had a hard time getting up early again to work out but now I actually look forward to heading to the studio for those early morning rides. Leaves me feeling so excited to take on the day!

I love going to Spinco classes but I would not recommend investing in the on demand classes. The videos are black and white for some reason which make them hard to see (the low lighting does not help) plus they film the instructor from straight on so you can't really see what the instructor is doing. This makes it hard to copy them if you are unsure what to do if they say things like "four corners" or "2 up and 2 down".

Decent workout and good energy however the sound quality is severely lacking. It is so loud you can barely make out what the instructor is saying and if it is only your first few times going you have to watch others for cues.

Love, love love it here! I have only been once so far but have already signed up for more classes. It was my first spin class EVER and the front desk staff made me feel super welcome and explained the process. The teacher also made me feel less nervous and showed me how to adjust my bike and snap in my shoes. Amy was an amazing teacher and really kept me motivated. I can't wait to go back and have been recommending this place non-stop. If you are curious just to try a spin class, this is the place to do it.

One very important thing to have in mind is that classes may begin before the scheduled time, and they have a policy to not allow anyone of getting into the class after it begins. So unless you are there 10 or 15 minutes in advance, you risk losing your time and money.

I never EVER had done spinning before going to Spinco and the staff was so helpful and friendly! I signed up for a membership right after the first class. I am so hooked. Plus there's a puppy walking around greeting everyone most days so you get workout and dog therapy in one. Loving it so far!!

I really enjoyed my two week trial at this place. Staff are very helpful and friendly. I never felt uncomfortable or out of place. They made me feel like I belonged there . Room is warm at first but then it gets cooler , lots of amazing instructors and diff type of music in each class. I wish it was a bit cheaper but is worth it. Very clean and organized.

The studio is incredibly well run, with a very polished feel. It's a great workout, and definitely the best spin studio I have ever gone to!

Awesome class! Very clean. Staff were friendly, helpful, and the instructor was great. I wish they had a blackout track like one other spin studio in the city, but at least they have bathrooms to use! I'll definitely be going back to get my sweat on. Thanks SPINCO!

As a first time spinner, I did not know what to expect walking into SPINCO. Many small studios, whether it be yoga, barre, pilates or spin, can be quite intimidating for a newbie. No word of a lie, after leaving my first class, I felt excited, rejuvenated and instantly felt like I was part of a community. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with a smile and friendly banter. The studio is pristine and welcoming, very minimalist and has everything you need. Pros: great workout Cons: too loud! It's super dark in there, ZERO ventilation. Overall: If you like going deaf in a dark, sweaty, smelly cave, then this is the right place for you!

SPINCO is a beautiful space full of knowledgeable trainers and friendly people. My first class was with Amy Orfanakos. She took the time to show me where to get ready for class, how to use the lockers, and got me properly setup on my bike - she even brought me my weights. The staff were attentive and greeted me when I came through the door. I felt welcomed. I loved that I could pick a bike online in advance so I guaranteed that I was riding right next to my friend. When I was waiting for class to begin, the spin room had a really fun and chill vibe that set the tone for the experience. When the class got rocking, the energy of the classes ramped up and I felt energized. Amy who gave us some tough love and had an encouraging attitude to get me through a challenging class. I got a great workout and can't wait to go back.

Everything about this place is 5 stars. I had a fantastic visit and will be back soon. I created my account, and knew my bike # as soon as I booked. When I arrived, it was easy to find everything I needed... I was checked in, setup, fitted up and spinning along to the music with the most efficiency I have ever seen at a fitness club. The class included shoes, lockers, a towel... literally everything you needed to get on the bike. The lockers have programmable codes, so you don’t need to worry about bringing a lock! Once the class started, I was amazed at how great the workout was! The instructor, Jeremy, was AMAZING! He checked in with the new members, brought a lot of positivity, and made sure everyone was challenged, working hard and really gave 110% to the class. I can’t wait to go back.

Tried to go here for a class with my girlfriend and the staff was so rude!! Location is useless and you don't even know where you're going.. up and down 5 hallways with no signs where to go. I called numerous times over the last week and no answer so I finally stopped in. They are definitely not welcoming whatsoever

I've been to a BUNCH of spin studios and actually work front desk at a studio back home and when I came to visit Kelowna this is by far the worst one I've ever been too. I called to get signed up because there was 4 people In my family and it was all of our first times, they were less the helpful on the Phone and told me to hangup and do it online. Then online was giving us issues so I called back, they finally helped but when I got to the studio they actually hadn't helped over the phone and there was no bike for us. The girl at the front was rude, unprofessional and less then helpful. My instructor was good but I slipped outta my bike 9-10 times because the pedals were so loose and actually hurt myself. When the class was done I told a different front desk lady. She didn't even ask if I was okay or if there was anything she could do. She just said "k". Will not be going back, thank goodness there is more then one spin company in Kelowna.

I’ve been spinning in Vancouver at a few different studios for years. Thought I’d try this place out while I was in town last year. It was very difficult but the instructor was great. Front desk staff were also great. There were too main reasons why I won’t go back. The room was SO hot. No circulation, it felt suffocating. The biggest one though was the disco ball lighting. I ended up getting so dizzy looking at the lights in the mirror. Maybe it’s just me, but it was not a great feeling. I’ll stick to Spin Society and Ride in Vancouver and Toronto.

Big fan of Spinco Ottawa! The instructors are fantastic and so friendly. Towels, lockers and spin shoes are included in the class price too! (Huge plus!) Location is great and accessible by all major bus routes downtown. Highly recommend this studio!

The instructors are FANTASTIC - all of them are so energetic and motivating - and will push your mental and physical limits during each ride. Regardless of your age, fitness level, or any other factor, I would highly recommend trying SpinCo. You won't be disappointed!

Really disappointed with all this extra overcharging. I couldn't attend a class due to migraine. I canceled first thing that morning and was slapped with a $15 charge. Unfortunately migraines don't tell you 24 hours in advance that you will have 1. So what was supposed to be a $50 trail has now turned into $65 and I've not yet been.

Friendly staff but the facilities and their equipment are not clean. The shoes they provide are not properly sanitized and if you get there and they don't have your size, you get a lovely warm sweaty pair from the class before. They all smell like stinky feet and that smell wafts in the spin room due in part to the lack of air circulation. Make sure to also wash your hands after the class because the handle bars can be sticky. I bought a 2 week intro pass and regret it. I would not have returned for a second class had I simply purchased a drop in because I have never been to a studio that is so unsanitary.

I’ve spun at studios across western Canada, and go regularly at home. I was in town for work and thought I’d check this studio out. Shoes didn’t clip in strong to the bike, felt unsafe. My foot slipped out a number of times. Instructor and staff were friendly and welcoming. Class was pretty good, aside from Feeling unsafe on the bike. Room was exceptionally hot though. I’d come back when I’m in town for work and give it another go, but there was a few things I’d work on! I’ll bring my own shoes next time as my clips match their bikes and maybe it will be better.

My experience at Spinco has been amazing. I have tried spinning at other gyms but this is a truly unique experience and I love how they provide shoes and towels so it is really easy to just roll in and get riding. I was super nervous to start as I have some mobility issues from some injuries and I am no gym buff but from the moment of my first class I felt like I was exactly where I need to be. The staff was great about helping set up the bikes and give instruction without making you feel uncomfortable. I have brought quite a few friends to try the classes and they are all very impressed with the atmosphere and the quality of the workout. It is a truly full body workout which I was not expecting! Keep it up!

Was in Kelowna for the weekend and wanted to try this place out. I have been spinning in Calgary for years so wanted to see how this place compared. I also brought along two of my sisters, one of whom has never been on a spin bike. I told the front staff this and asked if they could have someone explain basic riding technique to her and help her with bike setup. This did not happen. The front staff were so extremely rude and unhelpful!!! Basically tossed a waiver form at us. Have never experienced this at any gym. WOULD NOT go back solely based on this. The instructor however was great but also did not ask if there were any new riders in the class : ( This was THE hottest spin class I've ever been in. Was like hot spin! There was literally no air circulation for the entire 50 mins.

DO NOT GO THERE. Terrible first-time experience. Completely inconsiderate instructor. I am veteran spinner and was trying out a new place after SpinCity closed. I arrived 15 mins. early. There was a line. By the time I got set-up, the class was was starting. I was not familiar with the new (Look) clips and the instructor would not take the time to help me. I have been to many classes when the instructor stopped mid-class to help people and this instructor offered no assistance. She told me that she had a class to teach and could not help, essentially telling me to leave. A complete waste of my time. DO NOT GO THERE.

I love Spinco! Everyone new my name after my first class and made me feel so welcome. The instructors and front desk staff are always so uplifting and encouraging. I feel incredibly safe going to classes right now as they are following all of the COVID safety mandates. I can’t express how amazing it feels to be a part of a community that is so strong and upbeat! Spinco Ottawa is full of energy that is powered by its staff and its members! Once you’re on the bike you work as one team - exceeding limits you didn’t know you had. If you’re new to spin, or want to try something new, I would highly recommend checking it out. The staff are inclusive and welcoming each person that walks through their doors. Book your bike! After one class, you will be impatiently waiting for the next ride!

All you have to do is show up & they take care of the rest. They provide the shoes, the towels and an inclusive, motivational environment. Need earplugs or a hair tie/bobbypins? They've got that too. The studio is clean and well maintained and the staff and instructors are always nice. If you're looking for a good workout that's challenging & fun, I highly recommend Spinco as I've had nothing but a good experience.

Challenging fun and not too hot now! I appreciate that they are turning the air conditioning on sooner into the work out. I love the lighting because it distracts you from the struggle and the changing lighting keeps you interested and motivated. My only suggestion is that come the fall they think about negative pressure ventilation to keep it safe.

Unprofessional staff, sound system in the room is uncomfortable, technical issues with microphone. The system in each city is different making it difficult to adjust. Will not let you in the class past the minute mark.
