Informed the server 3 times that I was vegetarian. What does she do offer me various meat selections. In the end I ordered the vegan rice n veggie bowl from the menu which the server never once mentioned. WEIRD!!! The vegan dish was bland so I smothered it with hot sauce. My dining companion enjoyed their non vegetarian selections.

A group of 4, we waited and waited as the employees where busy attending the ppl whom where seated to their tables. The gurl who was to greet & inform us of wait time didn't. No hello or even look at us.???? wait time for a table was 1hr & 1/2. Be ready to wait. I've never gone & not wait. The restaurant its self is reno nicely.

She checked on us often to make sure we were ok and the food was good and she greater us with a big smile and said a nice departing greeting. My fiance' & I came to Newfoundland to get married on Sept. 1, 2018. Then on Sunday we did an all day fishing tour in Holyrood. On our way back to Blackhead that night we seen this restaurant called Jungle Jim's. We decided to stop there for dinner. Our service was slow from the waitress we had. The place wasn't overly busy. We waited 40 minutes to get our food. The food was very delicious & a nice size portion. Our overall experience was that it was ok.

It was my first time and it was great! My friend brought me for supper while I had the ribs and fries, they were delish, she ordered the steak blue rare. She was unlucky and got a steak that had a lot of grissel when she mentioned it to the waitress she replaced the meal without question. The kitchen found another steak that was a lot better. It was a great experience and I will not hesitate to go back in the future when I'm back in the area.

Jungle Jim's in Bay Roberts is by far the worst that I've ever experienced. The first time I ordered there for curbside I had a burger which was comprised of a frozen, beef I'm guessing, patty it was nasty. The second time I took a chance on this place I ordered the fish and chips. I never in my life had a fish stick surrounded by so much soggy batter. It looked as though there were 2 nice pieces of fish until I removed the nasty batter to reveal what looked like the equivalent of a chicken finger. To top this off the fries tasted weird and left an after taste. Never will I visit this place again.

Service was super slow and they weren't even very busy. We waited almost 1 hour for our meal. We were glad when it came out hot, though but just took too much time. Server was ok, but we felt like she wasn't quite listening and seemed frazzled.

Great food at decent prices. Went there for wing night Wednesday, which was great value (half price wings/apps and cheap draft beer!) but it was very crowded at that time and wait times were quite long, though that was expected. The decor has been updated since my last visit and is much more reserved compared to the over-the-top jungle decor they once had. Looks more modern now and might appeal to adults more, but my kids always enjoyed the old decor which was a bit of a selling point for getting them to go there.

5* because of past experiences. Food is great and service too, usually... today however I went for lunch and I didn’t feel like a guest. My sever was told a couple times that there was a customer waiting. She seated me and left a menu. I couldn’t tell you her name and I had to wait a long while for her to come take my order. Once the food came out I didn’t see her anymore until I brought myself up to the cash to pay. Nobody checked to see if I was enjoying my meal or if I needed a refill on my drink. There was no opportunity to sell me desert because like I mentioned already I found my own way up to the cash. I could understand if it were busy but it wasn’t. They had a table next to me that we’re finishing a meal, a lady with an infant and one other table across the room. I’m sure there were two servers on duty. Don’t get me wrong I love dining here which is why the 5* review but I really feel someone needs to read this and remind servers that customers are guests. I would pay more for a great experience but today my experience was lacking.

Such a friendly atmosphere. The staff are great and always greet you with a smile. The food is perfect and delicious everytime we visit. While we do visit other restaurants, we always finding ourselves comparing it to Jungle Jim's. This is our go to restaurant and has been since the doors first opened. The menu has changed so much over the years but we love all the changes. There's always something on the menu that will please every tastebud and palate

To make a long eating experience short, my wife ordered ribs; no ribs. Ordered wings instead; no celery or carrot, but they gave me the option to order (and pay for no less) for a piece of carrot and a piece of celery. I wanted some blue cheese dressing for my salad; no dressing. But, the real reason I write this review/recommendation...the wings my wife ordered were raw. The flats were fine, but the tips were pink. And not slightly pink in a close to the bone way, I'm talking actually raw and it wasn't noticed until I ate half of one. Needless to say this will be my final time trying to fool myself that anything on the Jungle Jim's menu, which 90% comes from a box, is even fit to eat.

Goood service at a very busy location. It may have taken us awhile to get a table but once we did, the food showed up in a timely manner and it was quite tasty. I highly recommend this location but try to get there earlier than you need to :)

Food came out after almost 2 hours. The staff was pleasant and apologetic, even though they were definitely having a busy evening. If my grandparents hadn't been set on the meals they wanted we would have gone elsewhere.
