This Gym is ripping me off with out ever informing me. I never received an email saying the gym is opening up. They charged me for the month of August. I contacted them on August 8th 2020 to freeze my account and requested a refund since I was not using their service as I do not want to expose myself to Covid. They took money from my account again on the 1st of September. Seriously? Why I am being charged when I am not even using their service. I was asked to send an email, I did and I never received any response. I think its so unfair to charge people when they are not using your service!

Put my membership on hold in March 2020 because of covid. I was never informed that it was a 6 month hold. So I was charged through lockdown and when covid was still going on. Apparently they do not notify you that the hold period is over and they begin to charge you again. SHAME on you Crunch

It is a good gym with all the facilities. $11 for the month is a contract price. They usually have a non contract price for $14. The machines and the aerobics is on the first floor. Honestly, it could have been bigger with more machines but with covid, the crowd is controlled. They hand out sanitizer sprays now to everyone coming in.

For what you pay the gym is okay. It’s just crazily busy with students, you can barely use the equipment unless you go in the dead of the night or odd hours in the morning. Tried to use the “cross fit area” just for some kettle bells and some space to breathe. Always clean up after myself and leave the room the way I came in. Got kicked out by the front desk night guy (who I have mixed opinions about) when I KNOW the manager, who was working out in the room with me the day before, told him ask me to leave the room as she was at the gym and following me INTENSELY with her eyes. She could have told me herself that I am not allowed to use the room as it seemed the front desk had no issue with me using the room for 4 weeks straight lol. Thought it was a bit cowardly. And the way it was communicated was not the kindest.oh and then she proceeded to talk to the cleaning lady about it...also knew that as the cleaning woman was motioning towards me and shaking her head LMFAO. I feel super welcome. Guess you get what you pay for.

A very nice gym facility. Though I visited this place in peak hours, I got ample space to do my own exercises and enough times on machines. Staff is very helpful and will answer your every question. A good monthly fee which is not expensive at all.

Greatest gym I have ever belonged too. Easy going friendly atmosphere and the staff are very approachable and kind. I was worried about not having enough machines but there is a few variations of every machine on both levels of the gym. Upstairs is usually less busy than downstairs.

Nice, but small gym! Friendly staff. Can't beat the gym membership price, although you do get what you pay for. If you're just coming here to use the treadmills, ellipticals, or dumbells, it's perfect. But if you're a weightlifter like me and are interested in using the power racks, you'll notice there's very few of them. Only 3 to be exact. I come pretty early in the morning when it's dead, and I usually still have to wait to use a power rack. I can't imagine coming in the afternoon when it's busy. I've heard that there's long waits to use the power racks. Another thing.. there's only 1 very small dedicated deadlift area. And there's usually someone using it when you want it lol.. You usually have to steal a bar from a power rack or a bench press, and do your deadlifts in the corner. But again, if you're just coming here to run or use the dumbells, it's a great place.

Love this gym. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. They offer a wide range of classes and I feel like the staff are well trained in their specialties. I've never cared for yoga classes at a gym but I love the ones they offer. Their teachers are professional and care about the class participants (in all of the classes-not just the yoga classes). This location has a lot of equipment and enough space to accommodate people's needs.

Beware of this scam gym. They make you sign up for 10$ but if you try to cancel within the first 6 weeks they charge you a maintenance fees (~$55) as well despite clearly stating that only 30 days notice is required for a full cancellation. They make all their money off of maintenance fees as is apparent from all their reviews, the management is shameless and exploitative. I visited the gym once and it was not the best experience as the sanitizing stations were not well stocked and there were no capacity limits due to Covid .once I moved I had emailed to cancel to which they hadn’t responded for weeks till I called them, then they ended up charging me a maintenance fees for a gym I used once. Soon after i took up a more expensive membership at a different gym and do not regret paying more money to get a better experience. If you need any more convincing to not join with this gym, just read the other reviews :)

On Sept. 15 I called and an attendant told me the downtown location is reopened now, at 5 am in the morning. Went the morning of Sept. 16 at 6:30 and couldn't get in through any of the street level doors of Hamilton City Center, or the connection via Jackson Square since they were all locked. Called to see how I get in. Danon, the attendant, was completely useless. All he could offer was "we're open." Never thought to verify location or any of that, even though I said "Main St" multiple times.

Out of all the Crunch Fitness locations, this is easily my favorite location. Nice, clean washrooms (I have no idea what these other reviewers are talking about with washrooms that aren't clean...must be other locations). Clients are respective of each other, and everyone seems to wipe down the equipment after they're finished with it. I've almost never had to wait to get on equipment, and even then it's a very short wait. Trainers here are good. If you want someone to push you to your limits, book Alex.

DO NOT GO TO CRUNCH!!! This is the worst gym you could possibly go to and I would not recommend it to anyone. I got a membership (I even paid the higher fee so that I could cancel any month rather than a mandatory 1-year commitment) in September 2020 but since then the gym closed TWICE for months because of the pandemic. Instead of using some common sense and not charging when they were closed, they continued to charge me for months during the gym closure and even deducted the yearly maintenance fee of $60! Every single time I called to cancel my membership, there would be an automated message that the gym is moving locations and nobody can answer the phone. The email addresses provided by the official Crunch website/Instagram did not EVER reply to my emails asking to cancel my membership. Even after the gym reopened in summer 2021 and I called to cancel (I dont live close enough to go in person), it would go straight to voicemail. Someone finally picked up my call today and they gave me yet another email address (which I will likely never hear from), they said I WILL be charged this month since the gym is open, and I have an outstanding balance of $41 on my account that they will try to make me pay. This is absolutely the WORST customer service and I wish I had listened to these other reviews before wasting my money. Terrible gym, terrible customer service, and terrible communication. DO NOT GO TO THIS GYM! Update: after months of being ignored I finally found the email of the CEO of the company and contacted him directly as a last resort. They did apologize and partially refunded my fees so that was nice. After this when the local manager contacted me saying he would call me I thought I would finally be able to cancel my membership but even the manager never got back to me. All they did was freeze my account but I still have outstanding charges and the manager won't get back to me. For anyone else in the same position I would recommend to contact the CEO because everyone else is incompetent. Even if the CEO can't directly cancel your membership they may be able to help you a little bit like they did for me. Nonetheless, the fact that I had to resort to even contacting the CEO for something as simple as membership cancelation still speaks volumes about their customer service. So disappointed.

These guys don't answer or respond to you with any professionalism when you want to cancel. I tried cancelling months ago and didn't hear back for over six months. They won't accept my previous notice of cancellation and say they only operate by their own rules and don't accommodate. I haven't gone in over a year and they are trying to bill me. Terrible experience and I know the customer staff is laughing behind the emails because they don't care what I have to say and thinks it's all a joke it's clear in their communication to me.

I called in a couple days ago because my credit card had been compromised due to a fraudulent charge and I had received a replacement. I was speaking to either Julia of Kristen who were working at the front desk that day and they stated I had to come into the club because my payment update couldn't be done over the phone. She also stated that I should bring in some baking info to prove the fraudulent charge so that the $25 late fee could be waived. So I went in yesterday with my banking info and Colin who was new to the club was helping me at the desk. He updated my payment info and said he was taught but couldn't quite remember how to reverse the $25 late fee. He called the manager Matt who was on staff at the time and Matt's response was "we don't reverse the $25 charge for fraudulent activity" I've been a paying customer for over 4 years with no late payments or issues in the past, both the girl on the phone and Colin both stated the reverse could be done. And if according to Matt "we don't reverse the $25 charge for fraudulent activity" then at what point do you reverse the charge? My card being compromised wasn't my fault and I have never been delinquent on any payments in the past. Crunch fitness I would like this rectified.

For the price, you couldn't do better. The staff are friendly, cheerful, and efficient and 99% of the fellow users are polite and cooperative. The free weights are abundant and there are a lot of machines upstairs that are well-maintained. There is always an open stationary bike machine. I don't much like the loud modern music downstairs but I wear earplugs and headphones and do most of my workouts upstairs anyway where it is quiet.

I belonged to crunch long before it was crunch. I belonged to the gym for over a decade! I think your app and inability to book was disgustingly inadequate. I was entirely unable to book and you were aware. I understand it’s a club wide issue but other clubs had the same issue but overcame it. They didn’t tell members to come in and talk about how the app and the booking agent don’t work. Your club has gone downhill for the last few years and it’s a disappointment to me since I was a long member. This is why I have cancelled my membership and those of my children as well.

I went to the gym on upper James and it is very busy and hard to work out when you want to use a specific machine. I found the gym staff to pretty much only care about getting your money and not really there to assist you at all. They charge rediculous fees for personal training something like 80.00 per hour. I don't like the gym at all. I regret canceling my Good Life membership. the cardio machines suck as well. I would rather pay a bit more and go back to Good Life..at least they have the cybex cardio trainer I love

It's unfortunate because most of my experiences at crunch were positive until recently. I went into the gym after it's opening (as I was noticing charges on my bank account again) and I was pretty disappointed to see while working out if you were at your machine or station you can take your mask off (when you're exerting yourself and breathing heaviest). Working at a hospital it just didn't seem like the safe or smart thing to continue my membership here so I canceled. Unfortunately it doesn't stop just there because I canceled my membership (which was relatively easy) but a month later I received another charge which was above their usual 9.99 fee. When I called to find out it seems like they charging people that's bologna last month fee even though I cancelled the day I was charged the month before. They told me I could use their gym for another month but when I told them I would be very uncomfortable working out in an area where I believe it is unsafe there was little to no understanding of the situation.

I agree with what so many other reviewers are stating here. It's a pretty low quality facility, and you get what you pay for. Dirty equipment, very busy and packed, lighting is really poor. When you try to cancel, you have to inform them IN WRITING 30 days in advance but if you inform them MORE than 30 days in advance, that doesn't count. You have to tell them like EXACTLY 30 days ahead of time to the day. Had phone calls with several employees that were never noted in my file. Sent an email on the website - it was never even acknowledged. Ended up paying an additional annual fee plus 2 extra months. It's so hard to cancel your membership here guys! Their business model is to squeeze every last penny out of their customers by any means possible and guarantee that everyone who leaves does so with a bad taste in their mouth. I recommend you find a gym that will treat people like people and not like cash machines.

The good thing the equipment is fine and stuffs are friendly. Bad things: I joined the membership in 2019 Sep and I canceled in 2021 Sep. I end up paying two months membership fees (Sep and Oct) and maintenance fee (54 ish) for the next year. Asking for monthly fee for an additional month is fine with me because they did mention 30 days notice for membership cancellation. However, paying maintenance fee for the next year makes no sense to me at all. Why a customer has to pay for the whole year when he/she already decided not to enrol for this year! This is unfair.

Due to pandemic they were closed once they opened I called to cancel my membership but their staff convinced me to freeze my account for 3 months and reassured me that I will not be charged and I can cancel any time without any charge, a few days later they charge me and the reason was that I didn't give the notice in advance although they were closed. When I got upset and ask to cancel my membership after the charge they said you will be charged again for a month since your account is freeze now and you need to give notice from the time that your account get unfrozen !!!!!

They locked me in for 1 year and wouldn't cancel. Then I had to pay $113 to early. I couldn't even cancel after end of 1 year, I had to wait until 1 year is done to cancel and it it auto-renews, then I have to pay $113 cancellation fee. Very poor customer service and very misleading. Don't even get this gym subscription. They lock you in for low price and then they get their money back through making it difficult to cancel and other hidden charges.

Understandably no one replied, but when they reopened they charged me anyway TWICE and refused to reimburse me saying I need to give 30 days notice, which again, they had not replied to me months prior. What a joke - I guess you get what you pay for... which is a lot more than advertised.

They are still charging me for a membership I signed up for in January 2020. I visited gym 3 times before shutdown. Now they are open and taking extra money from my account...and REFUSE to cancel my membership, and told me on the phone they will continue to take my money even though I do not feel safe going there, nor do I want to be a member anymore. they have gotten over 200$ from me by now for 3 visits to their gym...and have told me they will continue. Given the current situation with a global pandemic...I would have hoped for some understanding in wanting to cancel my membership. DO NOT JOIN THIS GYM! I AM DISGUSTED.

It is incredibly disappointing that I have not been able to resolve my issues with The Crunch West Hamilton club directly and I have been pushed to file complaints on the Ontario Website and also the Better Business Bureau. I hope that will be the wake up call they will need to realize they need to do better. In reading some of these reviews, I realize I am not alone in having issues with The Crunch West Hamilton since the pandemic. Any reasonable person would agree that the gym atmosphere before and after the pandemic are extremely different things. Since the pandemic hit, I have not been going to any public spaces and of course this includes the gym. I even read some comments on Google Reviews here and the Facebook website about some extremely questionable safety practices. They introduced these plastic “face shields” which totally fly in the face of what WHO and other health officials have been telling us (2 ply fabric masks are best). I also read people are permitted to take off their masks?! All of this seems insane to me. There seems to be little to no understanding on The Crunch’s part of why I am so concerned about all of this. I would think with the world undergoing an actual Pandemic they would have understood my persistence and need to cancel my membership. I have been unsuccessful in doing so, hence why I have filed my complaints. The worst part is that I emailed the Crunch West Hamilton on March 16th to freeze my membership due to the COVID-19 pandemic. I was distressed on August 12th when I received an unwarranted large charge of $67.68 despite my account being frozen. On August 24th I emailed about the problem, but was not provided any refund. I also requested to cancel my membership at that time as circumstances have clearly changed due to COVID-19 and I do not feel safe going to the gym until there is a vaccine. I am extremely disappointed in The Crunch not honouring my request to cancel my membership, and also charging me $67.68 with no warning! I encourage anyone who is in a similar boat, to write a review and file any complaints you can. And anyone wondering if they should join this gym? Short answer: do not. They clearly do not care about their members. I feel completely cheated and ripped off. Steer clear, everyone!!!

Great gym to workout at. Everyone is super friendly at the desk. Machines have all been updated and the people who attend are all respectful of one another. Prime times can be crowded 6-8pm. Weekends are empty before 1pm.

I tried to cancel my membership multiple times and was finally told my membership was cancelled only to find they billed me for months during which I never set foot in the gym. I called multiple times only to be told that I never called the gym to cancel my membership (even though I did and have phone records of it). They refuse to refund the money they took from me for the months I was under the impression that my membership was cancelled. The gym itself is nice but beware of trusting Crunch with your billing information.

Cancelling is very difficult, communications from staff is poor and the gym, while very big and filled with equipment, is often extremely busy. I quit because of COVID in the Spring of 2020 and wanted to go back but did not like their cavalier attitude towards safety measures. Would not have felt safe there. Not recommended.

Last year one of the managers told me to upgrade and don't worry about contract it will be cancelled as and when you want now after multiple tries the contract still holds. Yesterday when i tried to resolve this i was asked to sign another one which when i asked what it is about, i was told i should sign and they will tell me after what it is about. Further customer support line said this is not crunch, this is crunch franchise so they can run as they want. Ex manager told me they can fix all of this if they want to for you. But also it is cheap $10 unbeatable i guess they have to make money somewhere as long as i was dealt with respect i wouldn't have left this review. Especially after being there for 2.5 years

Staying in Hamilton for work, and I’ve been to this location a few times. Though I can’t speak to all the management issues people are having as my home crunch is elsewhere, this gym has been great. It’s HUUUGE, lower and upper levels. The equipment is a bit outdated here and there, but there isn’t anything I feel like is missing. There’s even a big CrossFit section in the back with barbells bumper plates and everything you’d see at a CF box, I think it used to be separate but it’s all part of crunch now. Could be a bit cleaner here and there, but overall I’ve had a good experience here.

Hands down the worst customer service I've ever received from a gym... I used a 1 day trial 8 months ago and wanted to check out this gym again due to issues at current gym. Despite the 7 day trial running currently on the website, I was told would not be allowed any further trial workouts whatsoever. I asked to speak to the manager and the employees refused. I could understand being given a 6 day trial despite my previous 1 day trial but was told "You have tried the gym". Worst customer service. Rude employees. Pick somewhere else to go.

But its a basic gym and during corona it gets the job done. I do feel a bit as if I'm paying 10 cad a month to have someone scream at me to get out of the gym everyday. Maybe a little chime and general announcement over the speakers to let members know that time is almost up and to please wrap up our workouts would go a long way towards making this a way better experience for all involved ? Manager not only denied to acknowledge the cancellation I requested last year but also punching on no valid records on their system and nothing he can do, even thou I didn't even ask for any refunds etc. Hidden cost for cancellation policy. Signed up and didn't realize you need to keep your gym bag in the locker room because the gym is getting busy or whatever. I spoke to the manager and complained and she went out of her way to talk to the owner and got me a smaller crunch bag that I could use. This gym has thousands of memebers so the fact they took the time to accommodate me shows they care. I like the hardcore metal plates too! ????????

I tried contacting the gym for cancelling my membership before they would charge me for their gym annual maintenance however, due to shut down they did not get back at that point however, I emailed them and went in person to the west hamilton branch to request for the refund and the manager clearly outright refused to give refund for the yearly maintenance fee they charge every year saying that it is not their fault and it is the government that shut down and they couldn’t respond at that time. Such a ridiculous response and no respect for customers. THINK 10 times before you join this branch!!!

Terrible gym. Equipment is always out of service, staff are rude and do nothing. A lot of the times the papertowels have run out and they do nothing but sit there and chat. The garbage bins are overflowing too. The equipment is old, rusty, and dirty. Not worth the money, better to invest and join a gym that actually cares about their members like GoodLife. The other members workout with music blasting on personal speakers or taking phone calls on speaker phone loudly, and staff do nothing about it. I also got charged while the gym was closed during covid. Would strongly NOT recommend any crunch, as Ive had worse experiences at other locations.

I tried to cancel my membership at the time they opened during pandemic. The staff said they can freeze my account and I can cancel later on at no charge. A few days later, I got charged with the reason that I didn’t give enough notice to a closed gym!!! The worst part is that, Matt (manager) told me I will be charged again if I want to cancel now since I need to again give notice after the account is unfrozen. Basically they just tricked me to freeze my account to double charge me while I’m not even using the gym.

Friendly staff. Very good value for your money. I do not recommend you use the towels the provide to wipe your sweat as they are pretty dirty (primarily used for cleaning). Having said that, all he machinery is relatively new and well maintained since members are very good with cleaning after use. ONE downside is that there are leaks randomly from the ceiling and appears to only be a temporary bandage job.

I have seen other negative reviews on here stating that Crunch has been taking money from people’s accounts during closure and that it was due to a system update but this has happened to me numerous times during closure now. They also claim that someone will get back to you regarding your inquiry but they don’t. I’ve been trying to cancel for months and get back the money they’ve taken from me behind my back during the pandemic and have not had any luck. Apparently the 5-7 business day wait means closer to 5-7 months. I would not recommend this company or facility to anyone. They’re crooks, plain and simple and are trying to exploit the fact that they don’t have to physically face customers during the lockdowns.

Unfortunately the gym is not a gym to go to if you are looking for anything with free weights. They have limited equipment and will take anyone in as a member so long as you have a credit card. This translates to way too many people using the facilities. Their customer service department is also extremely arrogant toward people that are attempting to cancel memberships and continued to bill my credit card 4 months after it was cancelled. I now have an $80 bill that they are insisting is my fault and shal be paid, even though it has previously been cancelled in person. Everything considered, spend the little bit extra on a membership to a proper gym where they actually treat you like a painful customer, and not just another number.

DO NOT GET A MEMBERSHIP WITH THIS GYM. I am really disappointed and upset over the lack of proper customer service I have experienced at crunch. Even when the gym is closed I am getting charged. For over YEAR I have not even entered Hamilton let alone the gym. I tried to cancel my membership months ago, then I was told to put my account on hold/freeze it for 6 months. When the 6 months were over they did not pick up because they were closed because of the pandemic, but as soon as they opened, they took money out of my account even though I never used the gym. I called again to cancel my membership but then I was told to email. In the time I had emailed, I called AGIAN to double check if my membership was cancelled. I was told again to wait for the confirmation email. When I finally got the email they said to CALL THEM again to double confirm my cancellation, while CHARGING ME FOR ANOTHER MONTH! They really play with you, there's absolutely no customer service, they don't care about anything except deducting money from your account. They just want to put as many delays as they can so they can take more money. I DO NOT RECOMMEND A MEMBERSHIP WITH THEM AT ALL.

Easily accessible on a bus route, super cheap, never had a bad experience with the staff. Gym is 24 hours during the week, and open 7-7 on weekends. I tend to go later at night or earlier in the morning to avoid bigger crowds of people, but it's never so busy that I can't get a good workout in. The upstairs was redone recently and I love the new layout. All in all, this gym is great!

The price seemed great and the gym was close by, so I joined up with the 'no contract' basic option to give it a try. It was so busy that they wouldn't even provide the new member orientation. The gym has lots of equipment, and the staff are always friendly, but after a month of membership I decided that I would prefer to go to a smaller gym that isn't so busy. I went in to cancel and they told me that after just a month of membership I would still need to pay the annual fee, and an additional two months of membership fees! No offer to waive or pro-rate the annual fee or the cost of the additional months because it had been such a short period.. These kinds of business practices just leave a bad taste in my mouth and make the business seem sleazy.

As a McMaster student on residence I would gladly take the 15 minute walk to come here. The gym is clean, but gives off a cool, Rocky vibe. Plenty of squat racks, benches, and weights. Have never had any problems with staff, and they are always friendly, and say Hi when you walk in. They could easily charge me triple, I'd still go, super affordable. Would recommend. 10/10. If you go to McMaster come to Crunch!!!

Prior to Covid the gym was often dirty and machines would take months to get fixed, but it was fine for the price. Once gyms reopened I called to freeze and was charged a yearly fee along with the month of July. I was told if I cancel I wouldn't get a refund and I would have to pay an additional month once I unfreeze. My yearly fee was due to be paid mid June, when I couldn't cancel because no one was picking up the phones. Over $100 to not use a gym, don't sign up you'll be ripped off.

My first review ever goes out to crunch West Hamilton! Went to crunch for a few years, and took a break from their gym for a little. When I signed up in January, I spoke to an employee on the phone and asked him to help me step-by-step get a new membership *that would allow me to exit the membership at any time without a “buyout” aka extra nonsense fees* as i was planning on moving out of Hamilton April 2020....the employee said that was ABSOLUTELY fine and he directed me toward the membership that would enable me to do this, while staying on the phone with me. he advised me that as long as I chose the plan that costed a little extra and charged me per month, i’d have no problems cancelling at any time (he was wrong - and crunch should really extensively review their hiring process or maybe train their employees better ?). I actively went to crunch jan and feb - stopping in march due to covid. Gave the manager, Matt, a call today to inquire about finally cancelling my membership as I no longer live in hamilton and he did the BARE minimum for me- and he basically told me that his employees would never have done that and were “well trained”? he also told me he had 0 history of me ever checking into their gym? which just goes to highlight how disorganized they are as a gym. They can’t even monitor member activity in the gym, so i wonder how many non-members are able to walk in unbothered and untraced. some food for thought LOL. long story short, the manager told me he understands his employee told me otherwise (????) but there’s “nothing he can do to help me” (???) and made up a lot of other nonsense in the form of claims that he doesn’t believe I ever came into the gym.... even after I offered evidence in the forms or pictures. he was extremely unpleasant and i had to cancel my visa and have requested a new one because crunch operates on shady business. They especially love surprise charging. it’s happened to a few of my colleagues. Be careful and steer clear of this establishment. the conclusion: they charged me $112 for a “buyout” fee.

I have been going to Crunch for a few years now and have highly enjoyed working out there. I have no complaints about the West Hamilton location, especially considering the price! Generally speaking, the staff & other members are friendly and I personally like the overall atmosphere of the gym. There is a wide variety of equipment and it seems to be of higher quality (as compared to the downtown location). I have only tried their yoga and spin classes; the instructors are great! Even prior to covid, I often noticed professional cleaners in the gym, Their staff is regularly cleaning & tidying as well. Any small amount of uncleaniless I noticed, I attributed to the behavior of some of the members, rather than a reflection of the club's maintaince. However, I am disappointed in some of Crunch's policies, particularly around billing and masking protical post-covid. In my opinion, this is direct reflection of the corporation, rather than any individual location. I decided to try another gym that I have been curious about and may be a better fit for me at this time. I had no issues with putting my membership on hold and when I inquired about the cancellation procedure at the front desk, I feel like it was fully explained to me, including the 30 day notice. I am hopeful that there won't be any issues!

The staff are friendly and keep the gym tidy. 2 floors with a wide variety of equipment and an aerobics room. Changerooms are clean and well kept. The parking lot is large. There are windows on the second floor that give nice natural light during your workout if you go during the day and treadmills infront of a big window facing Main St. if you’re like me and like to watch traffic. This gym is very nice and the price can’t be beat! This one is my favourite location in Hamilton.

When Crunch Fitness opened back up in July, they did not email me to tell me they were open again and simply charged me for a month. Since I didn't feel safe going to the gym during a pandemic, I called them to cancel my membership and get a refund for that month. They refused to give me a refund for the month and also told me that I would also be charged for the following month because I needed to give 30 days notice to cancel my membership. So I was charged for two months when I wasn't using the gym in the middle of a pandemic. Then they had the audacity to charge me for a third month! I called and complained about the third charge in September and they said that they would refund it, but they still have not refunded the charge. Do not sign up for Crunch Fitness; you will regret it!

The most predatory gym I have ever encountered. They will take your money and make it extremely difficult to cancel, they had extended my contract against my wishes and continued to overdraft my card then charge me extra for overdrafts. No refunds, no mercy. It took 3 phone calls and some serious patience to get my membership cancelled. I would never ever recommend this gym to anyone ever. Please don't make the same mistake I made.
