They want to know where your strengths and weaknesses are to train those. TJ won't ask you. You have to show him. Excellent. Other clients are encouraging- which says something about the atmosphere. TJ does need a DJ!
I have been training with TJ for almost a year now, he has helped me achieve and maintain my weight loss goals. I was a member of the gym for years and getting no where before signing up for personal training. I was always inconsistent in my workouts and never felt comfortable in the gym. One of the first things TJ pointed out was I was always doing the same cardio workouts and not enough, if any, weight training. This was one of the best decisions I have ever made, I am now down 20 pounds and healthier then ever!
With THEROC Health and Fitness you don't just get the best personal trainer around with TJ, you also get the THEROC family with it. :) This whole journey has been remarkable and I am just 5 weeks in. I've been so impressed with TheRoc Health and Fitness that I just had to gush about it! I've accomplished more physically & learned more about proper form/technique in the 7 bootcamp sessions with TJ at TheRoc than I have in years on my own at my old gym. TJ challenges me, corrects my form, and has taken my fitness to the next level. TJ is passionate about fitness and it's contagious. I started Coach TJ’s bootcamp classes and diet program in January 2019 and I am officially down 92lbs! That’s right, you heard me correctly... 92lbs! Coach TJ has given me the skills and guidance needed to reach my fitness goals. I have never felt more energized and happy as I do now! Becoming apart of The Roc Health & Fitness Fam was one of the best decisions I have ever made. I will be a member for life! I have trained with TJ at TheRoc Health and Fitness for almost 2 years now and am already signed up for the rest of the year because I know how great of an investment it is for my physical, emotional and mental state. Worth it 110%. After growing up playing quite a bit of sports I fell off the bandwagon with my health and fitness for several years until I started working out at TJ's boot camps and getting some personal training classes in. Extremely thankful for TJ and the tips for diet and training he provides. You won't regret trying it out!

I’ve taken bootcamp classes with TJ both at the studio and online via Zoom and he definitely delivers an intense full-body workout in less than an hour, which is great for my busy schedule. TJ is energetic and keeps things fun, and most importantly, his classes are a JUDGEMENT-FREE zone! If you’re new to fitness or out of shape like me, he’ll work with you on technique, and make sure you’re moving at a pace that’s right for you. He definitely knows his stuff. Best trainer in Guelph!!
There is no other person I would recommend as much as TJ. After spending years and countless amount of dollars on gyms, programs and everything in between I officially lost all hope. I would struggle walking into the gym, eventually I’d stop going all together. After crossing paths with TJ I decided to give myself one last shot and I have never been so happy. With a variety of health issues he has been so quick to adapt and ensure my personal health was his main focus, each and every work out was designed specificaly for my benefit and success. Within the first month I have lost over 10lbs but to me that’s not my greatest accomplishment - I have an abundance of energy and excitement in life all together. My confidence is greater than its ever been! I know I’m not the only one who sees the before and after pictures plastered all over the gyms and internet thinking that could never be me, I can say confidentially that I can actually see myself as that person now! I have been doing the online boot camps with TJ for a few months now during the social isolation of covid-19. They are super fun and efficient workouts, burning hundreds of calories in 40 minutes. The schedule works really well for me as I don’t have a lot of time with a 1 year old running around. He also modifies exercises to fit your needs and abilities and gives alternatives if you are missing some equipment. If I lived in Guelph I would absolutely join the gym for some in person SWEAT sessions

By far THE best coach out there! He is passionate about what he does and truly cares about his clients. From bootcamp classes to one on one sessions, he knows how to make class enjoyable meanwhile maintaining proper form at all times. I highly recommend giving it a try!
I highly recommend TheRoc Health & Fitness to EVERYONE....regardless of your fitness level. If you are just starting out, TJ will work with you, make modifications, encourage and motivate you every step of the way. If you are experienced, he will challenge you more, he will push you, he will not let you give up! TJ is a great person. He is extremely knowledgeable and is very passionate about his work. Boot camps are a phenomenal way to push through a work out as well as to make sure your form is correct. I have tried the circuit in gyms but end up forgetting the proper form and lack the drive to push myself. TJ has patience to work with my lack of coordination and balance. He also makes sure we are using the correct posture and form for each exercise. In the past year my core strength and balance has improved. I've also lowered my BMI and body fat with his meal plans and boot camps. Commit to 3 weeks in boot camps 3 times a week and I believe you will feel better/healthier than before you started.
There are so many fitness studios out there today. TheRoc Health & Fitness is one of the best! TJ is the most enthusiastic, passionate and dedicated trainers. His bootcamps are amazing! Whether you are a beginner or experienced, TJ will accommodate. You will always be challenged!

I have been doing TJ’s online boot camps for about a month now and I am addicted! He has helped me stay active while at home during this time. I can’t believe how great of a workout I can get in one of his 40 minute classes! All exercises are demonstrated beforehand so it’s very easy to follow along. I would definitely recommend these boot camps for anyone!
I’ve been training with TJ for a year and a half now and I cannot thank him enough for the progress I’ve seen in my strength and endurance. I always struggled gaining weight and muscle, and TJ has helped me reach my goals through meal plans, personal training, and boot camps! I have back and knee issues. These are carefully taken into account when decisions are made around strengthening my body to face my next phase in life. I’m 56 years old. When I find my back is sore, TJ is trained to fix me up. I have walked in to the gym hunched over because of racking one day and left 45 minutes later feeling like I could do handsprings. It is so important to have someone who knows every connection in your body and can help you strengthen your weak points to make life so much better lived without pain!
My friend and I tried his boot camp strength training class for the first time and it was great (we died, in a good way lol) T.J was always encouraging and helpful. He pushes you to do your best and focus on yourself. The seasoned members in the class were great towards us newbies and friendly and encouraging as well. Highly recommend if you want something new and out of your regular routine.
