Great experience! I'm a paramedic student, and was struggling with some of the physical aspects of the job. Madison was amazing. She worked me into her schedule on very short notice and really tailored my workouts to help with a few specific areas. She really pushed me to work hard, and now things are going much better! 10/10 would recommend, and I definitely plan on going back for more training with Madison when I'm no longer a student.

I trained with Jon for a couple years using Kettlebells. Having a background in athletics and being a trained boxer for 15 years as well as running my own boxing club and being a trainer for 10 years I immediately fell in love with the training and picked it up fairly quickly. Jon taught me exercise technique and has been and continues to be a good friend to this day. We both lead busy lives with our businesses and haven't trained in the last year or so but his training has taught me a lot and I continue to use what I learn in my own coaching.

Doing personal training with Madison was one of the best things I ever did. Having done personal training a few years ago, with very poor results, I knew that it is often expensive and not necessarily worth the money. But JM is! Training with Madison taught me, not only how to successfully train at a gym on my own, but also proper technique. The nutrition coaching is spot on. Her guidance, support and training gets you to your personal goals and gives you the knowledge and confidence to continue your fitness journey on your own. Everyone gets into fitness ruts eventually. JM fitness teaches you how to get out of them on your own.

*** Spoiler Alert *** If you don’t want a detailed, first-hand account of a top-notch personal trainer, please move along! But if you're looking to challenge yourself, feel better in your own skin, and see some pretty gosh-darned solid results, keep reading. Jana came highly recommended by a few ladies at work, and it didn’t take me long to see why. She’s approachable, she’s dedicated, and she’s only the slightest bit sadistic – three of the best qualities in a personal trainer! Now before I continue, I should probably point out that I was absent the day that grace and coordination were distributed. I can’t do step classes because I trip over OTHER people’s feet, and until recently, the thought of being in the gym – especially without adult supervision – terrified me. But Jana works with me to overcome my limitations. She explains each exercise in a way that makes sense to *me*, and takes the time to demonstrate (and re-demonstrate) equipment and proper form until I get it. And the best part? If I don’t want to eat tofu or become the next Ronda Rousey, I don’t have to. We all have our own tastes and goals, and we’re all built differently, right? She knows that, and she customizes my workouts and her nutritional guidance accordingly. Her aim is balance, and she approaches it with compassion and uncanny intuition. Don’t get me wrong – it isn’t easy. She pushes me hard, and calls me out when I miss workouts, eat poorly, or simply make excuses. But she wouldn’t be doing her job if she didn’t, and I wouldn’t be seeing results. Long story short, train with Jana – you won’t regret it! Oh, and ask her about the pencil. You’ll never see a writing utensil in the same way again : - )

Going to JMTraining was the easiest solution for my situation: I live downtown, and have no easy means of transit to a fitness joint outside of that area. If I can walk there, I will work out there. I knew I wanted to work out because I wanted a healthy motivation to get up in the morning. Something that would make me feel better, both mentally and physically. My first class at JMTraining was in PiYO with Jana. She is an incredible instructor; she is motivational and helpful. Needless to say, I was hooked. Now I go to JMTraining 5 days a week. One of those days I spend with my personal trainer, Kyle. He is such a fantastic trainer. Not only has Kyle helped improve and tone my body - and boy, has he! - but he’s also helped, whether intentional or not, with my mental health. I cannot sing him enough praises. I’ve been getting personal training with him for under 6 months, yet I am already seeing the results. My body is in much better shape, my skin is glowing, and I look and feel better, inside and out.

I have been working out on & off for years (usually only lasting a month or so before giving up.) I decided to look for a personal trainer to help me stay accountable and to teach me correct form. Jon has been great at motivating through times where I have fallen off track. I have know been working out regularly for 9 month which is a record for me. He also gave me an excellent meal plan & tons of healthy recipe suggestions. I also do pi-yo classes with Jana which are awesome. The group classes are really small therefore it's easy to get to know everyone & Jana is able to give you more one on one attention. The classes are done in 6 week session and they progress in difficulty throughout that time meaning you are constantly challenging yourself. Things that seemed impossible the first session you are able to do easily by the 6th. Highly recommend the Fitness Junction!

Greg White is outstanding at providing customized fitness and nutrition training based on my specific needs and goals at my age and fitness level. He continually adjusts my training and nutrition plans to reflect the improvements in my body and lifestyle. He's never punitive or judgemental, and always pushing me to stretch a little more to achieve my optimum fitness levels based on my personal goals--not his goals or some textbook ideals based on age and weight. Jon Mills is a terrific trainer. I sought out his expertise and experience related to hard-style kettlebell training. I was looking for a trainer to help me prepare for the SFG (StrongFirst) Level 1 certification and he did not disappoint. He was able to adjust my form quickly and effectively to maximize power transfer and strength in the traditional kettlebell movement patterns. The more I train with him the more complex he’s made the movements which has been fantastic in keeping me engaged in the training and his programs. The facility is fantastic during Covid and the spacing and separation have been essential in feeing secure during this pandemic. I would strongly recommend Jon to anyone, but especially those truly interested in hard-style KB work. He’s an expert. I look forward to continuing my work with him.

After many years of working out and showing little results, I had decided to look for the services of a personal trainer. Jon has been my personal trainer for the last several months. My goals were to lose weight, become educated on safe and efficient exercising as well as proper dieting. Where most trainers will focus on in-the-gym activities, Jon takes it a step further. Jon not only will give you a great workout during the one-on-one sessions, but he also prescribes specific workouts as well as monitoring and coaching ones diet. I’m a former athlete that had fallen out of shape and wanted to sharpen up on technique and programming. I worked with Jon twice weekly for three months. He was prepared for every training session, he thoughtfully planned each workout, and kept me focused on properly executing each movement. He’s a great instructor and was very knowledgeable about the training aspect of fitness as well as incidental things like diet and sleep. Depending on what you want to get out of your training, he will monitor your daily diet and offer suggestions and flag any potential issues that may impede your goals (e.g., weight loss, building muscle, etc). The one-on-one sessions were also very motivating at times I wanted to do anything but train. I’d recommend Jon to anyone who wants to upgrade their training regiment or needs some guidance in working toward their fitness goal.

I started training with Jana almost 2 years. ago. I wasn't too sure that I could start training at age 66 .My daughter had been training with her for a couple of years and her results have been terrific, looking fit and healthy. Loosing weight and feeling better have been my goals. So I began seeing Jana every couple of weeks and started keeping a journal of my food intake , sending it to Jana. She would give me guide lines and alternatives where needed. With jana's gentle way and patience, I started gaining muscle mass and losing weight. I work out at home three times a week and walk with my dog very day. Exercise is and will be part of my life always thanks to Jana. I still enjoy my hourly sessions with Jana, about once a month now, in the relaxed ambiance of their gym. I've been an athlete all my life but was experiencing alot of injuries and headaches from the workouts I was doing on my own and in class settings. I decided I needed to have quality instruction to reteach me my form and technique and start healing my injuries. I cannot say enough good things about JM Personal Training. I contacted Jana this year prior to my birthday because I decided that this was the year I would change my eating and fitness habits for good and it was by far the best decision I have ever made! I first joined a 4 week detox group that Jana had set up as I had to wait a few weeks for my first personal training session (there was a waiting list so that should tell you how GREAT JM training is). The 4 week detox was the perfect jump into the beginning of my new lifestyle. I continued on to do 12 personal training sessions with Jana and now religiously follow the program she designed for me!!! I have NEVER felt better or had better results! I plan to join some of her classes and have more sessions with her in the spring next year!!! My only advice is to take the leap with JM training because you will not regret it!

It took me a long time to decide to train and exercise. I would go upstairs and see the sign. Then finally took the plunge. Oh my was it worth it. Greg made it easier for me to start exercising . A few years ago I noticed Jana and John training at a local gym I attended. It was apparent that they cared greatly about giving excellent training to their clients each time. They also had such an approachable and friendly demeanour. I decided then and there, that if I were to seek personal training, I would go to one of them. At some point they left the gym I was at and I didn’t know where they went. It wasn’t until about a year ago I saw their sign at Downtown Guelph. They had opened up their own location. This January I went for it and contacted Jana to get some training sessions set up. I was extremely exhausted and tired in my body and mind - since I had had a really stressful year. And being very sedentary at work, was not helping. I have always cared about healthy living, but at this point in my life, trying to set up a plan for myself was just another task that I did not have time nor energy for. Seeking a professional, i felt, was my best option. When I met with Jana I was really hoping that I would either get her or John as a trainer. We weren’t able to make it work with our schedule so Jana assigned me one of the trainers from her team. At first I was a little disappointed because my impression of Jana and John was the reason I went to them in the first place. However, Jana assured me that all her trainers have to adhere to standards and care as much about their clients as her and John would. So with that I went to my first sessions... ...And I was blown away. I got such attentive, encouraging and great training throughout. It is clear to me that Jana and John do not hire just 'anyone' to work and represent their training business. I could not have gotten a better matched trainer with my personality and training needs. Recently my trainer moved on to different career opportunities so Jana ended up taking me over as her client. She has been nothing but accommodating, professional and always so lovely in her demeanour making the transition work as seamlessly as it can be. I have already had a few sessions with her and it is so impressive to see that the excellent care provided is no less between trainers. I have so far lost almost 10% body fat, become stronger, more mobile (which is so reliving for someone that does not have the natural gift of ‘flexibility’). I have more energy overall and clarity of mind. In turn have been able to manage and be more efficient in my busy work and daily life. Highly recommend this place. It is worth every penny!

I wish I could come to this place early! All the trainers are very knowledgeable, friendly and supportive. Greg is such an amazing trainer. Due to my personal issue, I can only workout with him for 4 weeks. I learned so much from him! He made detailed plan to train both endurance and strength. He makes great demonstration and also explained all the keg points for each exercise in order to get better result and avoid injury. He also provided nutrition plan and follows up each week. My body fat becomes lower in just 4 weeks. Highly recommend!

Jana creates an excercise program suited to my mothers needs. Her overall physical and mental health along with her confidence in herself has benefited greatly from her sessions with Jana. Jon's never to busy to pick up his phone or text you back when you need any questions to be ask about the program your on or on nutrition. 100% worth every penny. I can't recommend JM Training highly enough! When I first started @ JM, there was a wait list for personal training clients, so I bought a package of classes to tide me over. They suggested I start with the most gentle Back, Core and Glutes class and in the first 2 minutes, I seriously wondered if I was going to get any challenge out of it. Boy was I wrong! It doesn't look outwardly difficult, but the small under-developed muscles in your (you guess it!) back, core and glutes, will sing to you the next day. After a few weeks, Jon had time in his schedule to fit me in for PT and I can honestly say that I have never had a coach as knowledgable or as authentic as he is. I quickly realized that before I started working with him, I had never done a proper squat or kettlebell swing! Now, I get so much more out of each workout thanks to his coaching and I'm better able to avoid new injuries. One of the most beneficial aspects about working with him though, is how honest he is about the struggles he and everyone goes through in the pursuit of fitness, to help you remember that you aren't the only one who hits walls or has a bad food day or skips a workout. If you want to truly challenge both your body and your mindset, the JM team are the ones to work with!

I've been training with Jon since November 2016. I've seen some great results to date in only 5 months. I was coming off of a major surgery prior to that and my body went through hell. Jon took the time to help me build up my strength again slowly and now I'm feeling amazing at what I've accomplished in such a short time.
