For a budget gym, it gives more than what you paid for. Good equipment, a fair amount of free weights. However sanitation is left to be desired. Since it is cheap, can't complain too much. But, I fear because of that, if left unchecked things might go downhill. Maybe they could help hire someone just for sanitation.

The gym itself is very convenient for me, however, it always stinks in there and it's the only gym I've ever been in that doesn't use spray bottles to wipe down and DISINFECT the machines. Having a towel doesn't really do much other than spread the sweat from one person to another from machine to machine. No staff ever walks around to advise people that aren't using a towel to get one either. My only other complaint is the sheer amount of people that sit there on the machines or weights texting or talking to their friends about their plans for the weekend. It's getting to the point where staff might need to intervene. But seriously, get these damn spray bottles. Don't be cheap. I also have a pass for weekends at the same type of gym (exact same marketting and everything) Fit4Less, same passes, machines, same everything..... except they have spray bottles to clean the machines. Seriously, do it.

Ecofitnes, is it just me but why don't they have SANITIZERS to wipe down the machines after someone uses it? I worked for many years in hospitals so I would like to think that I am somewhat informed about health and safety practices and SIMPLY Wiping down a machine with a RAG" with NO disinfectant" is BEYOND useless and only spread more germs all over the surface of the machine. Am surprised that the city has not shut down these gyms yet. ZERO STARS! because having my fellow Canadians being exposed to germs that can have serious implications on their health is unacceptable. This is the kind of stuff I expect in developing countries and I Think it's about time health inspectors are made aware of this abomination masquerading as a gym.

I don't understand the mask policy rules. How can the virus manifest itself when you are obligated to sanitized your hands at the main doors. It doesn't make sense no one can catch the virus on the cardio machines without a mask but others can catch it in the weight section area for which it's a few steps away. Fair is fair, either mask off or mask on for everyone and not just selected areas in the gym...I'm not knocking the gym down, it's probably the Government implication.

Not the best gym. The place is filled with young-adults who don’t exercice, but socialize. Something should be done about that! Maybe have someone to break them up. Droves of teenagers dominating machines, weights, and complete areas of the gym. I had to wait an hour to use the bridge-machine. Also, the place doesn’t provide any disinfectant to wipe down the equipment, that’s unacceptable. Do better. The only reason I go is because you’re cheap but you nasty too. Bonjour/hi, This is regarding reopen: What are the sanitation procedures in your facilities? Before the closure members were asked to bring their own sanitizer to wipe the machines in all the Gatineau locations. Has this changed? Are there enough staff to wipe and disinfect the machines? Also, I’d like to know how you plant to enfonce social distancing and mask wearing.

I do love going here. However, I experienced a bad customer service. There was this guy that was working at Les Promenades, Gatineau on Wednesday April, 24 2018 at 2:00 p.m. I forgot his name but he was really rude to me. I usually don't get this kind of service but this guy clearly do not have some customer service skills. I asked his name but did not want to give it to me. My pub did not work because there was a remaining balance. I do understand that there are some policies and procedures that this gym must follow but he did not explain this to me and just looked at me like i was stupid. He only got one job, which is to provide clients with customer service and he failed at doing that. The guy definitely need to learn a proper people skills. It's very unacceptable because I love going here and I even recommended this place to my friends. Please address this incident or train him some customer service skills.

I would highly recommend going to the location @ Saint Joseph instead, had proof of vaccination from Ontario and was refused entry, security was call and the security guards completely agreed and did not remove me because they saw I was in the right. I think this gym is good! I've been going for almost a month now, I switched over from Goodlife because no one should be paying $70+ for a membership a month...
