Since training with Mike, I have increased muscle mass, balance and weight loss. He also specializes in training me for long hiking treks, strengthening my legs and core section. It's great having the one-on-one session with Mike to benefit my training. I highly recommend Sammon Training.

I have been working out with Mike Sammon since 2005, when I was 69 years old. At that time I felt I needed some professional help to set up a workout program suited to my age and physical condition. Mike felt that a fairly aggressive program would be appropriate. To my great surprise and satisfaction I was able to turn the clock back and not only gain muscle, but also some of my physical strength, which I thought was lost. Fortunately I was highly motivated and enthusiastic and, although the workout program was hard and very challenging, I worked out three times a week with noticeable progress. I am now 81 years old. I have been able to maintain a good degree of the muscular strength that I had acquired, with the help of maintenance program suitable to my current age. Mike has throughout the years been very supportive and encouraging. As I have aged he has been able to adjust the changes in the programs required in a very skillful way, so that my workouts are always satisfying and challenging. I believe that Mike would be completely competent in setting up an appropriate program for anyone of any age or physical condition, so that they would feel both physically challenged and be pleased with their progress. I can recommend him highly.

I've been training with Mike for six years. A lot of other people in his gym have been with him for similarly long (some, longer) periods of time - which says a lot. There's a reason he's built up a loyal following. Mike's approach is no-nonsense, focused on your individual needs and geared to results. And it works. On top of that he's got a great group of clients. Every once in a while some of them will overlap with you during your session - lots of good times while sweating it out at Sammon Training.

I first came to Mike Sammon 7 years ago after injuring myself lifting something heavy at home. After that accident I promised myself that I would take action to make myself stronger. Seven years later I'm stronger and still training with Mike. He's the best. Really knows his stuff and understands his clients. And women will like to know that it's a very non-intimidating gym. Strong or weak, fit or unfit, Mike treats everyone the same. He just expects you to work hard and do the best you can. Highly recommended!!

In 2005, at age 58, I was involved in a serious accident which left me weak and concerned about how to manage day to day demands. Even carrying a purse was a problem for me. I had taken years of physiotherapy but wasn’t getting any stronger. I was just getting more and more frustrated with my limitations. Finally, in desperation, I took a friends advice and met with Mike. He’s easy going, incredibly patient, and the atmosphere in the gym is relaxed and positive. In what seemed like no time I went from only being able to lift 3 pound weights overhead to lifting 15 pounds in each hand, I went from barely being able to do squats to doing them holding a 20 lb weight ….. And now I’m lifting deadlifting up to 89 lbs. Mike gets how to help you gain strength with no stress and little strain. If you tell him your issue and why you just ‘can’t', he'll make a small change in the exercise and show you that you really ‘can’! Thank you Mike, you’re an amazing trainer!

Mike Sammon is the personal trainer I trust when I need a workout program or meal plan that I know will give me results. I’ve worked with several other personal trainers, and even seen how they are certified through my brother, and Mike’s programs are simply the best for meeting goals. He knows what’s best to do because he’s done it and gotten results. Mike has helped me get big, get strong and get lean. To this day, I still follow the core philosophies he taught when I was a young teen because I’ve seen them work. If you follow his training, you will meet your goals, its as simple as that.

I have had the pleasure of knowing Mike for close to 30 years and consider him to be one of my best friends. His passion, laser focus and discipline when it comes training, dieting and body transformation has always been second to none. Simply put, training and nutrition are everything to Mike and he transfers this knowledge, philosphy and positive mind set to all of his clients regardless of age, gender or body type. Even though I’ve known Mike for a long time, I have only just begun to train very seriously with him in the past 2.5 months. This training (five days/week) has been complemented by a strict nutrition plan that Mike designed for me. The results have been astounding and have exceeded my expectations. In this very short time span (71 days to be exact), I have lost 18 pounds, feel tremendous and my strength has increased significantly. I never thought I would have abs at 42 but anthing is possible with Mike. I have seen him interact with clients in their teens right up to those in their 60s and this supportive approach does not waiver. Other personal trainers can be seen as overbearing or intimidating and that is the opposite of Mike.
