I love stopping here, its part of my trip through Fort St. James. Located on the shores of Beautiful Stewart Lake, BC. Great place to swim and picnic. There is Camping and Food vendors in the Summer and a stage for Live entertainment on occassion. Sunsets are incredible. The Lake can get pretty mean, with care...it holds breath taking History, numerous Islands, Ancient Indiginous Rock Art along the shores. and a nostagalic view of one of British Columbias oldest Church.

This is the beach to visit if you want to see some of the most breathtaking sunsets ever seen. Locals are very friendly and proud of their little town that is packed with a variety of recreational activities.

It reminds me thst 30 some years ago my younger son Dennis during primary school year he joined Korean church Canada orhanized Missioin outreach to native Indian reserve in B.C. and had trainning post in Gort Saint James town in B.C. And we are now here to come and joint native outreach activity . After that we pay visit to Burns Lake Paster James Kim's Wanakana Motel.

Beautiful views everywhere. Public washrooms open during the day. Plenty of picnic tables and benches. Playground for kids. Some camping spots near the water and some further back. Lovely place.

Beautifull simplicity with an incredibly jinormous lake and an equally enormous parking lot. You can hop on an atv and you're here in md 5 min cause this St. John town is wrapped around-the-lake Stuart. While you're there on one side of the park sits a church with an incredibly tall steeple, intricate wood mouldings, and amazed by the exterior paint job!! Beautifull Great White North!

I wish the Bathrooms were left unlocked and Tissue and Paper Towels was left for the Public to replace themselves if needed. I'm sure/Have no doubts that all people in the town would be considerate enough to not take it and do the minimal work to replace empty rolls if it were necessary. Correct me if I am wrong, no offense will be taken. ;). Other than that, a little more privacy for couples to enjoy a romantic evening watching the beautiful sun setting without interupting other people/couples doing the same thing lol like separaters that can be accessible for the Public to pull-out between parking spots along the wooden fence facing the lake where our sun sets beautifully. Great place/area for friends & family to gather and have a good time together without being harrassed by anyone.
