Pros:
1. Space- at 23,000 square feet it's as big as a mall parking lot.
2. No wait time- The gym has more than enough equipment. They have like 4 flat benches, 2 incline benches, 1 decline, 4 squat racks, and a whole lot of treadmill, cycling, stairs and other cardio machines.
3. Cleanliness- It is really hard to judge this as the gym has old equipment in a clean environment. Things look dirty but they actually aren't, they're just dated. It is much cleaner than good life at bloor islington, though.
4. Staffs- friendly and approachable. They smile, greet, and will wait for you to initiate interaction. They aren't pushy or nosy, just great folks. I've heard a lot of good things about the trainers, too.
5. Price- at 50 dollars a month for a 3 month membership it is standard compared to other gyms. Note: prices get lower on a longer contract.
Cons:
1. Overall equipment (i.e. workout machines, floor mats, lockers)
- they're dated. Still works and are in good condition, no rusting whatsoever, but you could tell they've been there awhile. Some of the lockers have dents and some mats are a little (about a few millimeters) uneven.
2. Environment- the truck company or whatever it is beside the nearest bus stop has a bit of a burnt-tire-smelling-air, have to cover my nose on most occasions as I don't drive and have to commute.
Would recommend, will go back after I get a car.
