I signed up my two kids for the Kids Muay Thai program. We have been going for a couple of months now and I can say that Kru Matt is very knowledgeable and super patient with the kids. He has control over the class and always directs them in a clear and concise manner. Gym is always kept in clean condition (it never smells of sweat or BO as do other places). Classes are usually around 35 minutes in length, and classes start on time, so if you are a parent that runs late, you have to make sure to be there at least 5 minutes early. As stated, instructions are clear and he always manages to give feedback to the kids. Class size depends on how many kids go to that class that day as there is a variable schedule which is nice as you can pick and choose how often to attend. We personally are averaging 3-4 times a week and have seen the physical changes in the kids. Their bodies are so much stronger from all the cardio and strength conditioning exercises, have better focus and come out of class just soaked from exertion! Both are kids are also in competitive sports and have found Kickboxing enhances their endurance and strength when playing those other sports. When I ask about what they like from the classes, they really enjoy learning how to kick and punch. As a parent, I think that they like it as a stress relief to punch and kick the bag. They find it so much more fun than BJJ (which they took previously) and I feel as a parent Kickboxing is a much more practical self defense to learn and apply to real life situations if that ever occurs (which I hope it never does).Overall, at my children's young ages, the kids program really is fun for them and is great exercise too while learning a martial art. I highly recommend their kids program.
