We are so lucky to have this 50m (long course) public pool in downtown Victoria! When I travel to other cities I can never find 50m pools, only 25. Great atmosphere, fun but professional staff who are very welcoming.

A great community asset. It's really nice to have a downtown rec centre. The pool is huge, and the massive skylights give it a very open feel. The hot tub could be bigger, but most of the amenities are up to par and very much appreciated by the neighbourhood.

Very nice pool and water temperature. I do not know why the city needs to replace it as they should simply renovate it and lessen the cost to the taxpayer and shorten the unavailability time. Parking is adjacent as well as on a cross street.

Loved this retro space! The friendly and accomodating staff opened the slide for 2 grown adults :) nice cheap lockers. Free admission if it's your first visit. Huge space! But lots of stairs as it is an older facility.

This is one of the larger pools in Victoria. They offer 25 and 50 meter length swimming plus a kids pool and shadow area for young kids. It's a fun place to go. Sauna, steam room and hot tub are also available. It's in a central location and easy to get to. It is an old facility and showing its age. Parking is limited and there is no family change rooms. No cafeteria or food available

Lots of amenities in a humble, diversely attended fitness centre with a playground & sports fields outside. Friendly attentive staff, decent sauna & steam. Unfortunately, there are often men loudly holding forth in the sauna on everything from local politics to their own personal skin conditions. A sign outside the sauna indicates that it's supposed to be a quiet place, but I often have to plug my ears to get a moment's peace.

It's really close to my community I live in Fernwood and there is a sauna and a steam room as well as an Olympic-sized pool an actual gym and a secondary one with cardio equipment so it's a pretty complete formula and never too crowded I would have given it more stars accept it could use some updating and they're thinking about building a new the question is will there still have a pool, they have courses as well and life guards always on duty the monthly is cheap and if you make less than I believe is around 20,000 and you're single and that changes for families then you can get a pass for 52 free sessions or half on the monthly or yearly price which amounts to about 200ish + $40 dollars of credit to use in courses

Came here just for the pool. Bit of an older facility, but it cost under $15 for a family of four to go swimming, so you can't beat that. There's a kid's pool, steam room, sauna, hot tub, and a decent sized water slide that the staff were nice enough to turn on just for us. Definitely worth the price. I had fun.

My favourite pool to visit for splashing around or swimming laps! My girlfriend and I love to go from 9pm-11pm because drop in is only $2! There’s lanes for laps, a splash pool for the kiddos, a hot tub, steam room, sauna, rope swing, and a WATER SLIDE!!! Great fun for the whole fam ????

Its a great location if you are looking to go for a swim or a hot tub, and they also have a good sauna and steam room. Not the best location if you are looking for a fully equipped gym. The gym has a poor layout, with the weight areas being divided into three seperate rooms in seperate areas. The cardio equipment is in the pool area, above the seating areas, spread throughout the upper walkway. They have an area for boxing that includes a heavy bag and speed bag and adaquate space for movement.

I live near this place and have enjoyed some great swims and workouts here. I'm looking forward to seeing what this place will look like after the big changes coming. The staff here are really polite and helpful. I find the prices to be quite reasonable. I've had many great memories here at this pool over the years. I have been in Victoria for over 25 years so I have definitely had many swims with friends and many memories spending my Saturdays or Fridays in the the summer having amazing times. I hope this upcoming makeover will be the beginning of new memories for myself and other people who enjoy this great place!

I was calling all morning today and the staff just ignored my calls. They don't know how to answer their phone, I was calling all morning and when I called my friend there she went to the front front desk and I called again... they just sat there talking, she asked them they should be doing their job and they just ignored her as well and kept on talking. This is the worst experience ever and I will never bring my family there again.

I love the Crystal pool. The staff and patrons are friendly, helpful and just plain wonderful. However, I do have one observation (I do not want to call this a complaint as negative talk isn't helpful) and that is when the 10 0'clock swim club, with few swimmers, take up 6 lanes and leave the public, that's me, one lane usually accommodating 6-8swimmers. Let's be fair and share. Pretty please :)

My God

You will probably be greeted by a very friendly employee. You will then enter a huge change room with no available free lockers. You will then search for 25 cents for the pay-lockers. You will struggle locking that locker. If you go for a swim, you can feel safe because the life guards will be watching you closely and enforce an extensive collection of rules. One of those rules is to take a shower first. It will be difficult to get wet under the shower because it will only lightly sprinkle tiny droplets onto the hair of your skin. You can feel good about how much water you saved, as you enter the also very environmentally friendly sauna, which is kept slightly above room temperature. You can get warmer in the tiny weight room. After pumping antique iron, you get a good cool down by taking the looong walk back to the huge locker rooms. Hurry, they will close soon on the weekend, the days when most people finally have time all day to work out.

A great gym, unfortunately I don't own sports shoes so I cant use the gym itself, but the pool, sauna, steam room and hot tub are all inclusive in the membership, opening and closing times are great, unfortunately not so for the weekend however. The only suggestion is to get a mini cafeteria inside the building, other than that this is a good place for all aspects.

This place is amazing! They bend over backwards for me and my family. I don't have to worry about my girls because pretty much all of the staff knows them and keeps an eye out for them. My family has been going there for over 20 years at least three times a week. I can call the front desk and ask to pass a message on to my girls. I know that if they are there that they are safe. The lifeguards are well trained. I've witnessed the quick response to avoid children's heads smacking on to the pavement. Or when the little ones get loose from their caregivers and simply step in to the deep pool. It's like watching a well orchestrated dance number. The facilities definitely need modernizing but last year when I mentioned the fact that the one wheelchair bathroom was about one foot too short for a motorized wheelchair I noticed that they had made the change. They are aware that they are not as accessible as they should be but they do what they can in order to accommodate people with different needs with what they have at hand. All the staff are super friendly. I can't say enough about the place and the people who work there.

There are two great pools for young kids in a separate area from the main pool. One is very shallow and perfect for babies. The change rooms are large, clean, and fairly recently upgraded. The glass domes on the ceilings are nice on sunny days, but they drip when it rains.

Place says it closes at 10 pm. I get to the pool at 940 only needing 10 to 15 minutes of a workout and the ignorant staff says we close at 930 when the website clearly states 10 pm with no notice of an early closure. I pay good money to hold a monthly membership for nothing but rude staff.
