Staff is friendly and their facilities are kept clean. One negative component is their parking lot.... it get's filled quickly , especially around 5:30pm .

This place is huge. Not only is it a gym, but theres ansandwich bar, supplement store, boxing and jujistu club. If its your first time there i would recommend a trainer.

Gym just reopened. I went there saturday morning around 8am. The place was crowdeddddddddd. I'm sure they were over their limit. Also, people walking around with mask on their chin, no one cleaning their equipment after use. Only 2 staffs were present. No one was checking to make sure covid rules were applied. It was chaotic. 0/5 for covid sanity

I've been a member for 3 years now. I love this gym. It's the only thing keeping me in shape. Cause I love to eat and drink! I go 3-4 times a week. People are nice and the staff is great.

Nice gym for lifters. It’s huge. Monstrous in size. My only complaint is that it’s a bit ratty, oh and they need to fix the 5/10 broken treadmills.

Nice fully equipped gym, but the parking situation sucks big time. The extended parking lot is still a dirt road and there are no lines for organization, so it is never efficiently filled to its proper capacity. Many times I find my self having to either park at the super c parking lot or way down on the street on St. Regis. Not acceptable when paying over $100 a month, will definitely reconsider when my renew time comes.

The gym is great, and the student price is extremely affordable by any standard, and especially so when compared to the price of other, often smaller and less equipped gyms. There's a ton of various equipment, so you're not often left waiting for your sets despite the high occupancy. Big downside, is the air conditioning. There's a big clock on the wall that shows the temperature as well, and it's been at 24 Celsius consistently for the past couple of weeks, which is hot by regular standards, and tends to get quite uncomfortable in a gym, which is quite insufferable to be honest. Hopefully the situation gets resolved, but if there is an issue I feel that an effort should be made to make clear that the problem has been acknowledged and is being worked on, but alas no communication. Other than that, this is a great gym. EDIT: The problem with temperature appears to have been resolved

It doesn't get better than this. I have been to Fit For Life, Nautilus Plus, and Buzzfit. By far this is the best bang for your buck. They have all the equipment needed and more. I went for the VIP membership for access to the smaller private studio, towel service and closed showers in the VIP locker room.

It’s more on the old school vibe but it what makes it awesome! Huge facility, great equipment selection. Equipment is older but well maintained. I got to mention interesting layout with the half walls, haven’t seen before.

Let’s be clear, I was not a gym fan and use to train at my own spot. But I have to admit after two month I really enjoy the surrounding friendly vibe to train – At least when I get there in the morning ;) And I’m quite sure you will find all training gears you need!

Gym is for the gym... No pool, basketball court, etc. Price is fairly regular but the equipment, amount of racks, bars and weights are very numerous.

I had been a member for the last 20 years with that gym. Unfortunately, since the management changed, members get the least care possible. The gym became a human zoo. "The extremely, unusually small person" who was placed as a manger, have done worse with the gym than what the owner really intended!! I am really disappointed with what the gym had become!!! There is more complains presently, not answered by management, than the last 10 years combined but everyone is afraid to say something No wonder they are looking to sell Stay away, there are cheaper alternatives out there, much more convenient, and much better customer oriented Good luck

Great place to train - it is open 24x7, has saunas, small pool, 100m running track and is colocated with bunch of other fitness-relataed services like yoga, cross-fit,boxing, physio clinic and massage therapy. Can be crowded in peak hours

This gym is over rated for what it really is.Not worth the price. It's super jammed packed, the equipment is not very new it's crammed with equipment very hard to workout properly. Way to many people in that gym. The only thing i enjoyed it's the cardio area, good quality machines. Ventilation is not proper. It's super hot. I wanted to take the weekend membership but it's to expensive for what it truly is. If you like this type of gym but with a better maintenance you're better off going to gold's gym or buzzfit.

This is definitely one of the best gyms in Montreal ! You'll never run out of things to do , equipment is new and well maintained. It can get crowded during rush hour times but you never have to wait ...

This gym lit styll. They got almost everything from machines to battle ropes to sleds to even foam rollers. If their machines were a bit more nicely placed and had directions for some of them I would give them 5 stars

Updating my review from a 5 to a 3. Maybe because my schedule changed and now I have to come at peak hours, I find parking incredibly frustrating (lacking or muddy). I'm often waiting for upwards of 30 minutes to get a squat rack. I know Monster upgraded its facilities from where it once was, but already it's feeling like not enough!.. Love Vince the manager, though. He's awesome.

Paradise for early birds. Living hell at peak hours, parking is a mess (though organized). I always try to avoid peak hours, i.e. after normal office hours, but there is always THAT day when you cannot make it in the morning and are saving for the end of day - big mistake, you'll end up more frustrated than if you didn't even go there. This is a positive review by the way.

MONSTER GYM is the perfect gym for everyone. From bodybuilding to powerlifting/Olympic lifting. Its a great atmosphere. I went at 5pm and left around 645 and it was busy but everything is accessible easily since they do have many machine.

Worse gym ever. Poor air quality (it literally stinks), come fall you circle the parking lot forever trying to find parking and you risk getting a flat because the potholes are gigantic. Worse of all, the locker rooms are dirty.

My favorite gym. There isn't a perfect gym, but compared to others it's very good. Availability of weights and machines, CrossFit section, steam sauna, etc. Great!

Good gym, but unethical business practices. They paused everyone's membership from March-June due to COVID. Once the gyms opened again in June, they started everyones membership (even those that cannot go due to health concerns from COVID). They added 15 weeks to your contract but refused to keep a hold on the memberships for those that are not going. I think a better practice would be to be transparent about what you are doing by sending an email out to everyone letting them know. Another option would be to just start the membership once the individuals goes back to the gym for the first time since the lockdown.

Love this gym and the atmosphere around it. All staff are great, except for one woman, I think the top "manager" who was rude and ageist to both myself and gym partner... a bit disappointing. Besides her, I have had a great year at this gym.

This is the gym I go to so I may be a bit biased. The gym is open 24h so it's a god place to go if your work study schedule varies often. The cardio areas are nice and there's a lot of variety of machines overall. The only issue is that it can get packed during peak hours. You'll come out of there with the feeling that the gym is good but that some improvements can be made so that's why I'm giving it a 4.

It's a very nice place to train. There are so many machines, that even when it's super busy, you always manage to exercise your muscle. People over there also tend to take things very seriously, so you also feel motivated to train harder and better yourself. Costs more than some other gym, but definitely worth it if you intend to spend a lot of time at the gym. The only thing that stops me from giving it 5 stars, is the staff. The people at the door are simply ignoring you, as you come in and come out, and mostly talk to each other or their friends that come over. If you go up to them, they will help you as fast as possible, to get back to their conversation as fast as possible. But, you rarely interact with them, so I would say it is worth it.

I tried to sign up at this gym today. The parking lot is like trying to find a spot at costco on Saturday afternoon. It took me a good ten minutes to find a spot. Then I waited ten minutes to get the attention of a staff member at the front desk. The clerk pretended not to see me for some reason and served three people ahead of me until his coworker pointed out that I was clearly waiting. When I told him I wanted information to sign up he was clearly annoyed and said “okay the first month is free and here’s the price list. I need a Quebec id” then he took my id and left to assist another customer. After five more minutes of waiting I asked for my card back and said “never mind I don’t like it here” and left.

Best gym anywhere. Whether you are hard core or want the latest equipment and programs, this is your place. After your workout a sauna , steam bath or swim in the facility. I have never seen better.

Possibly the worst gym I've ever been to. Outdated equipment/machines. Some (leg press) is actually broken and unusable. Treadmill incline broken. Super busy. I paid $41 for 1 week and decided to go elsewhere with newer equipment for the rest of the week instead.

TERRIBLE MANAGEMENT!! TAKES NO RESPONSIBILITY OF THEIR MISTAKES!! My girlfriend went for a personal coaching session on April 16 2019. she was asked to leave her driver's license at the front desk. Unfortunately she forgot to take it back when she left. She called the gym two days later to make sure they would keep it until our next visit two weeks later. When I went on April 28 2019 to retrieve the license. The front desk clerk told me he didn't have it and that it was probably in the manager's office to which he didn't have access. I came back the following day. The license was still no where to be found, even in the manager's office. The clerk told me that the manager probably THREW IT AWAY BECAUSE IT WAS THERE TOO LONG! WHO THROWS AWAY CUSTOMER'S VALUABLE ID? WHAT IF MY PERSONAL INFORMATION IS STOLEN BECAUSE OF GYMS THROWING AWAY CUSTOMER'S PERSONAL INFORMATION? I wanted to discuss the situation with the manager, but he wasn't there and I was told that he would call me back during the day. He never called back, I had to call myself several times before being able to speak to the manager Nacim. Finally, when i spoke the the manager, all he said was: "It's not my fault. I wasn't there when it happened so I don't know what it happened. Therefore I am not responsible. Maybe the employee misplaced it and it fell somewhere or something" MANAGERS OF MONSTER GYM, YOU REPRESENT THE GYM SO YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE OF YOUR EMPLOYEES. IF THEY LOSE A CUSTOMER'S VALUABLES OR COMMIT ANY SORT OF MISTAKE, YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE EVEN IF YOU WEREN'T THERE WHEN IT HAPPEN! Replacing a driver's license isn't too bad. It only costs some time and money. Losing a customer's personal valuables is grave. But not taking responsibility of your mistake is very severe. WE WILL MAKE SURE TO MAKE AND OFFICIAL COMPLAINT.

I wish they didn’t remove some of the squat racks. It used to be perfect when they have 5 squat racks but since they removed two of them, the squat racks are full 24/7 and you gotta wait a while until you can use them. Not ideal

I have been a member for many many years. Its a good, solid gym that is open 24 hours a day...every day with plenty of equipment that is kept in good working order. Rarely does anything remain unusable longer than a day. It is also constantly being cleaned. I like this place. That said, there are no classes included. They have done away with the free initial health assessment when joining. It tends to be crowded in the evenings and parking can be an issue. Most of the parking lot is a dirt lot that turns very muddy in the rain and treacherously icy in winter....it needs to be paved!

I have been a member of Monster Gym from 1994 to 2015, since the time that “Big Daddy” Vince, use to yell at us on the spinning machines to go faster ! at 61-D Brunswick boul. I believe all those years entitle me to an opinion. I ended up switching to Buzzfit on Sources boul. I pay 23$ a month , I don’t regret it at all. (PS I see also Gold Gym opened up beside Elixxor Restaurant- see if they have a competitive deal ?) . They have almost the same calibre of equipment. I find the owner still acts like it’s 1995, and he is the only game in town.

Came here monday 18th march around 9h20pm. I Asked for a towel as I was checking-in. ZERO acknowledgement. Asked again after 2 mins and got screamed: Can’t you see I’m talking. I’m so happy I’m paying extra for the VIP. Nice gym, but would reconsider renewing.

I have been a member in lots of gyms through out my life but i will admit that this is the greatest !! Staff are super helpful , always polite and ready to serve !! The gym is big , spacious , clean. You never have to wait to use an equipment. The atmosphere is so homey. You seriously feel like you are part of a family !! If you are looking fot the best in all areas. This is the spot. !!
