First time tried this bloc center and I really like the vibe there. They have all kinds of climbing stuff (normal routes, the one that you need to flip over, moon board, finger board and training section). People are really nice and staff always make sure that you know how to fall in order not to hurt yourself. Btw, their designed shirts are super cute as well, I got one with 2 boulder guys with crash pads ????

Excellent staff and vibe. It was my first time trying bloc and i absolutely loved it. There are circuits for all levels, from beginners to experts. The space is well organized and you can see that they take good care of their installations. Will definitely come back!

Great bouldering gym. Walls are split into sections with problems of varying difficulties. A new section is reset every Tuesday and Thursday. Each section will be up for a month before being reset again. Work out area in the middle of the gym with free weight dumbbells, a bench, a barbell, and plates of different weights. Has a campus board and hang boards. Has a standard angle adjustable Kilter board! Not much parking.

I've been to a fair amount of gyms around the world and the atmosphere here is possibly my favourite. Awesome sitting area to grab a bite and drinks. Was pleased to finally try Beta Bloc! As far as bouldering gyms go, this was a really great spot. It features a workout area, an adjustable kilterboard, plus a variety of boulder styles like a cave, overhang, vertical and slab areas. I moved to MTL a few years ago and Beta Bloc is one of my favourite things about the city, and I wasn't even a climber really. It's a great spot to learn as there is a big variety in route difficulty, they have fun group lessons, and people are really encouraging as opposed to making you feel like you don't belong if you aren't good. In addition - I've made some amazing friends here (real friends, we hang out beyond climbing), the beer selection is awesome, the staff is super helpful & just fun to chat with, everything is clean & looks new, lots of food options, and prices are very reasonable!

Been climbing there ever since they opened back in december 2016. One of the only two places quickly accessible for west island climbers. Very spatious, feels open and bright, which is a fresh change from most other places in the dtown area. Amazingly friendly staff, new routes are set on tuesdays and thursdays of every week except one week a month. Staff is also very open to beginners, in my experience, more so than some other places as they give you a quick introduction and explanation to bouldering when you first go there. Prices are comparable to that of everywhere else. Would recommend!

I was really impressed with Beta Bloc! A Google search this morning led our family there opposed to some other places because their website sounded very welcoming. The staff was fantastic! Super friendly and very helpful! My son was struggling with a particular problem but refused to give up and one of the staff took the time to help him; so much patience and encouragement! I found that the spirit of the entire place was so uplifting and despite having never done bouldering before, I didn't feel out of place. The gym had a "homey" feel to it and the food at the bistro was good too! My kids are already asking when we can go back!

The music is always good and they also serve food. There is a workout area with weights, chin up bars and rubber bands. The campus board is also a must if you are a serious climber.

If you haven't tried bouldering, do it. It's such a fun activity for all ages and skill level. The place has a great vibe to it, everyone is helpful and nice and the problems are always fun. Definitely my favorite sport!

Great bouldering West Island bouldering place. It's large and spacious, and even has some regular space equipment. The chalk dispenser is also pretty nifty if you forgot to buy chalk.

Staff is amazing, very friendly and very helpful, Phil you're a star! The Gym is spacious, clean and the problems/challenges are changed very often so it's not boring if you go a lot. There is a bistro inside and lots of place to sit and eat or hangout. The gym also has some workout/crossfit gear. Highly recommend as a group activity with friends, work, or even as a date.

Incompetent staff. I tell them my shoe size and then proceeds to give me 3 size smaller shoes. At the 5th try they finally managed to suceed. Also need to add that 3 out of those 5 pairs had the smelliest feet odor. Horrible experience.
