Stumbled across this little independent powerlifting strongman gym during my boyfriend and I's vacation to Richmond and Vancouver. Jungle gym was actually highly recommended to us by a friend who raved about how friendly the other lifters were and how it was just a solid place to train and he wasn't wrong. I had touched based with Romus the owner who was more than accommodating to our schedule and opened his doors to us with enthusiasm and kindness. The gym itself is small but has all the equipment you could possibly think of and need to train as a strongman or a powerlifter. It has that warehouse "here to put the work in" but still have a good time vibe to it. I would highly recommend Jungle gym to anyone looking for a place to train. I guess I should also be clear that this is NOT a boutique gym and probably isn't a good fit if you're accustomed to that kind of fitness facility but it is full of friendly serious lifters who will welcome you and help you out.

This is hands down the best gym I have ever been to. I have been trying to loose weight and get fit for a long time and am finally making massive gains thanks to this gym and the help of Scott the co-owner of Jungle gym. There is a real community feeling in this gym, not just from me but many others I’ve talked to. I simply could never find a better place to lift.
