3 things I want to comment on; 1. The staff in 99% are very nice and helpful but VERY UNDER staffed. The 1% sucks when the manager is not available. 2. The items on sale are poorly marked, often NOT on shelf, nor is the price. The store itself, is too small. 3. The electronic price check is a joke; If I want to check the price guess what? It directs me to check the price elsewhere!? I don't shop there if I can help it. I avoid it if I can help it but most times...I don't have a choice. The entire structure and function as a store TOTALLY SUCKS!!!

Just finished a big shop here today, myself and another gentleman we’re waiting in the cash area when a man I assume was the manager stepped up and ran a till while he waited for another cashier to arrive. I let the gentleman behind me go first as he had only two items, I then proceeded to the other cashier when he was free. A minute later, the ‘manager’ approached as I was putting the last of my items into my cart, he asked me if I’d like help to my vehicle! Wow! I said I was fine, but wow! I didn’t know service like this was still offered especially in the larger store. I didn’t need assistance, but it was so very nice to have the offer extended. *as I was loading my truck, this same man, (manager?), was out in the parking lot with a broom and scoop doing a tidy up of his store lot - nice to see that kind of care and pride. Thanks for a great experience :)

Droped a tire off to be repaired at 9am. to pickup at 11am. When I got there at 11am it was not even touched! Besides they wanted $20 . to just put it back on the car. On top of the $38 to fix it.. so I took it to Choice Tire got it done for $28. put back on. So i will never go back there again.. There service dept.. needs a major over haul.. I bought brand new winter tires (Nordic) and rim set for my wife car (2011HondaCRV) last year . It cost me about 1,100CS. With new tires, the car had a pulling problem even driving in town. I did not aware that bcz I did not drive. Last month (in March) I took to Kelowna, I realised that driving on highway made me scary: having right pull and shaking the steering wheel, and very unstable condition on the speed around 90km/h. I dare not to come back with that situation, so I need to fix that. Because of four days visit, I did not get the appointment at Canadian tires with short notice. So, I did with other professional tire center at Okkanagan. They found out the brand new tires have the problems. Long to short, I went back to Canadian Tire_Dawson Creek. Tires are under warrantee. Auto Service Center asked me to pay service fee to check the problems. When I asked the certainty of the outcome, they can not guarantee if they can fix the problem or not. The technician even told me that put the weight on the other side and drive to balance the pull, and they gave the several reason about the drive fault, etc. They are just making money from me without providing the good services. They asked me more money for finding out the problem, but no grantee. Tires are under warrantee, it should not be charge for additional services as those are not user fault. I really unhappy about the purchase and their services. I decided that I will never ever doing the business with Canadian Tire again in my life. Very Bad Service!

Most of the staff are friendly and helpful, they do the best they can with the limited space they have. One cashier, who I assume is the head cashier, is extremely rude and overbearing. On several occasions I've witnessed her belittle and berate other cashiers and customers, including myself on one occasion. I've heard her talk about customers who were only a few feet away at the next cash register. She needs to be fired ASAP. I WILL be talking to the manager the next time I witness such disgusting degrading behaviour. It's nice to see the new managers fire some of the other ignorant people especially those who worked in the parts department for so long.

I bought a set of tires online, went and got them, they were paid in full online. The store reversed the payment, I didn't realize that this happened,and the store did not make me aware. Then they took the money from my account without my knowledge or permission, and caused my account to be overdrawn. I would have returned the money that was rightfully theirs but I wasn't contacted, or made aware of what had happened. This mistake is on them, but it's me who will have to deal with all the fallout from my account being overdrawn. I am very frustrated and will be lodging a formal complaint against the company, I am hopeful that this mess will be dealt with accordingly.

Typical town Canadian Tire. Trying to have everything for everyone, so maximizing inventory space means smaller isles and crowded isle-ways. Found what we wanted. Had a wide variety of winter equipment stacked in the seasonal outdoor covered section. Checkout staff was nice.

If you like to spend money for nothing...get your car fixed here! They do the bare minimum. I brought my car into them to fix an issue because my rear tires wore down to the cords so they made me buy 4 tires ($581) instead of just two because I have an AWD and they said the issue was caused by a worn bushing so I paid them $400 to fix it and then 7k kms later my rear tires were worn down to the cords again and it cost me another $251 to replace them AGAIN and they said oh well we thought that the bushing was the issue. They misinformed me because they said there was no alignment needed in the rear. I have never had any luck with Canadian Tire mechanics ripping me off and Elliot Lake is no exception!

Came here for a block heater cable for my Sunfire. I talked to the lady who was working at the automotive parts desk where she asked me about my car's engine and confirmed details with me. She told me the price and handed me the part. I thought the price seemed higher than I had expected so I took a quick look at their selection and realised she had given me the incorrect part. The employee had given me the cable for an ecotec engine, despite having just confirmed that my engine was not an ecotec. The cable she had given me would not have fit my vehicle. I gave Napa Auto Parts a call and in minutes they had me on my way with the correct cable for a fraction of the cost.

They also sell tires and have mechanics. In the summer they have a garden centre. As It's a tiny building, well, compared to the monster stores that are being built now. They pack a lot in that little space. Sometimes it's only one or two of an item which can suck if three people need the same thing in the same day. Everyone who works here is great. They know where everything is and are more than happy to help. Also. I have to say they are always fully staffed. You can always find someone. Well it's rhe only one in Elliot lake and the next one is an hour away so it's the best bet.

The store was very busy on a beautiful spring day. There were lots of cashiers working and the person who helped us was very friendly and efficient. They were setting up the garden centre as well. I've always found this location to be one of the best I've ever visited and I recommend it highly.

I was very insulted by an employee today. I stopped to ask an employee where heaters were , she told me but she looked at me with suspicion, which confused me. I suddenly realized she suspected me of stealing. I was very perturbed and seconds later she came with a co-worker and instructed me to take my travel cart to the front of the store. I was not happy and swore as I went to check out my purchases. I was adamant I would not be returning to the store any time soon. I left my complaint at the checkout with my cashier and as it turned out the acting manager was at the next till. The cashier was pleasant and tried to get me to understand it was store policy that all bags and carts be left at the front. After 6 years living here I never knew that. Never saw any of the signs posted throughout the store. As I was leaving I ran into Deb, your wonderful employee. After explaining to her what happened she quickly explained the extreme theft problem within all stores in Elliot but apologised for my experience. She has away about her that makes your day better and brighter. I just wanted to say thanks and I had know idea the problem of theft was so rampant. Suggestion: Maybe the signs could be updated and a little brighter and more noticeable. Also sorry for my rudeness to the other employee, but she could of handled it differently. Signed an enlighten customer and very disappointed with the residents of Elliot Lake who spoil it for everyone. It's 4 Stars now

Weirdest Canadian Tire I've ever been to. The help desk is the least helpful place possibly anywhere.This one woman just yells at you! You can tell the other staff are embarrassed but they're grateful that she's not yelling at them for once so they won't help you. Some days the floor staff are extremely helpful and other days they are either nowhere to be found or rude. I don't go to this store if I can help it. The automotive section is the WORST. If they think they can charge you extra they will and they didn't even tighten my tires enough to keep them on my car when I did go there. It's a small town so sometimes you've got to go there; but if you can go somewhere else, I would.

NO STARS DO NOT BRING YOUR VEHICLE TO THEIR SERVICE DEPARTMENT. They scammed me out of 714$. Were rude, required a deposit prior to looking at my vehicle. Told me my vehicle needed a new motor and would cost 6000$. When I went get my vehicle towed to a real mechanic, my new car battery was dead. They showed no concern at all. IF YOU BRING YOUR VEHICLE TO THE CANADIAN TIRE DAWSON CREEK YOU WILL MOST LIKELY BE SCAMMED OUT OF YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY. Try micron performance, they fixed my vehicle at a reasonable price and treated me like a human being.

On Wednesday 19 February 2020, my wife and I attended the Elliot Lake CTC for the purpose of purchasing snowshoes. We were assisted by a store associate by the name of Terry. This gentleman has the patience of Jobe. He went above and beyond any service we have ever received at any big city CTC. He retrieved at least three different sets (brands) of snowshoes for each of us, and ensured that they fit and that we were comfortable with our purchase. This gentleman is a real credit to his store and should be recognized as such.
