Here you have the information of real people who consume the products of GoodLife Fitness Saskatoon The Centre (Gym) in the territory of Cumberland House (Canada).
At present the firm has a rating of 4.1 over 5 and that rating has been calculated on 127 reviews.
As you can see it has an average rating is very high, and it is based on a large number of feddbacks, so we may think that the rating is very credible. If many people have bothered to value when they've done well, is that it works.
As you know, we don't usually bother to place evaluations when these are correct and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This Gym is included in the category of Gym.
Pros: -Great and spacious work out environment(more spacious than the new Motion in Brighton). -Has gyms nationwide -A lot more power racks compare to other gyms like Motion! -New equipments come in once a while. -Has kids area Cons: -Price could be quite more expensive than other gyms in Saskatoon, and they don't have good family plan.
Pricing is fair, staff are friendly. No fuss about towels - if you ask, you get one. It's so nice that they don't bother with the charge like some other GoodLife locations. Hot Yin Yoga with Amber is my favourite thing about this gym. She is a talented instructor, and an exceedingly kind woman. She makes every class accessible. The women's only area is a decent size, and it's nice that it's so close to the women's change room. Large gym with lots of space for everyone, and versatile classes that challenge you. BFF Thursdays are a great thing offered by this gym, where you can bring a friend with you every Thursday for no charge. My only complaints for the whole establishment are that the paper towel dispensers in the women's area often run out, as I don't think staff check that area as often. I also dislike that there is a charge on top of the membership fee for hot yoga, and that they were not very forthcoming about that when I was signing up for my membership. I even mentioned that hot yoga was the deciding factor for my signing up, and the staff person failed to mention any additional fees for those classes.
Regina GLF is the best out of 6 across Canada I have been to thus far... Surprisingly, the females, although young and appealing, do not have the a typical "Entitled Mentality" based on their outer appearance. Well done to management for that, because they all are PRO's. = Public Relations Officers. The most click type of GLF thus far, is Kelowna, BC, more like an Infantile nightclub Mentality, which is management's responsibility to "Change!". Too much feminism in there. I have noticed how DPE, caters to females, too much actually. Gym's have been Co - Ed for decades, yet the London GLF proclaims in the banner "For Women". Damn! It is Equality now DPE, treat females the same as males, they wanted it and it is not a buffet table to choose what you like or don't fancy, you Accept Equality 100℅, good & bad.
Contracts/memberships are close to impossible to cancel. Had a good experience with trainers and working out in general but, the fees and hassle regarding cancelling is not worth it.
Worst service ever twice in a row now by the assistant manager. Left this gym then came back thinking it would be different but the management team needs to be retrained by there general manager since apparently her going on holidays means they can suddenly be extremely unprofessional and nonresponsive.. don’t recommend this location at all try Preston crossing see if that gym is run by adults and not kids.
Awesome place to go
Great gym if you’re not looking for deadlifting platforms
Talked to these guys several times about this pandemic and I've been paying the fees without using the gym. the last person i talked to, Steve the manager would not wave at least the last fees which they are going to charge me for 2021 January. They want every penny taken from customers amidst this Pandemic where people are getting laid off and struggling.. not very Canadian afterall. I personally know my friends who got their final fee waived and when a manager has the authorization, he still chose to snatch the last penny. They are keeping their customers 6 feet apart and customer service 100 feet away. Would not recommend Godlife. At least this location at 8th st. 100%
Good facility but over crowded
Great gym, very diverse group fitness offerings. Recently added free Wi-Fi (Just need to sign in with email). Staff are friendly and knowledgable.
A bit on the expensive side and i hate that they don't let you put your membership on hold while you are away on vacation. I moved to a different city and still had a couple of months to my contact and was advised that i would have to pay an extra 10 dollars because this club was more expensive. I think this is grossly unfair....you have no choice but to accept any amount they throw at you until your contract is up..Why would i consider renewing my contract when i am getting average service for a premium fee. Paying 63 dollars a month with no towel service....watch out!!!
It's spacious and well maintained, has lots of equipments, and it's open 24hous. Very friendly and helpful people at the front. And I love the Les Mills classes, specially the body attack. I wish they had bodyjam and a swimming pool ????. But you cannot have it all????. I will definitely recommend GoodLife Fitness to anyone. Also I didn't pay any joining fee and no contract. So it works very well for me.
While I miss the group classes a lot during the pandemic, the staff is handling the COVID-19 measures very well. While in the past some members insisted in wearing their masks incorrectly (not covering their noses), I noticed that in a matter of two weeks that got fixed. It's been some time since I saw someone not following the rules. The gym is also enforcing social distancing by blocking access to some machines. Thanks for keeping us safe while still being open.
Awesome gym in Saskatoon! Especially the staff members. One of them quite stands out to me is Mr. Nathan (personal trainer). He really knows his stuff and all of the personal training sessions I had with him were fantastic. He's very technical when it comes to form correction and always seeks the best exercises to work around your injuries. I highly recommend him for both beginners and advanced individuals.
Lots of space, all the essentials
It's been my gym for over 2 years now. The recent expansion made it even better.
Super decent gym, very friendly staff and Proper health protocol, every equipment has been cleaned for each workout block, personal training lessons or solid as well, love this place!
Great gym with lots of equipment, clean and friendly staff. My only issue is that it's also full of salesmen that are tying to sell you services you don't need.
Good equipments
Best gym in Saskatoon.
Definitely shop around and read the fine print on their contracts. There are better gyms in the city who don’t try and lie to you, and force you into a contract. It’s better to use a Saskatoon leisure pass. At least they have swimming pools and hot tubs for post workouts.
I wOnder why the prestOn has FREE WIFI which is very good BUT the branch in Center Mall has NO WIFI ? why ? why ? why ? ? ?
Great experience and its so much fun and great personal training.
Great place to stay in shape! The gym has a great layout and the staff is very knowledgeable. Don't waste your time at other gyms, go to the best.
Brodie is an amazing personal trainer and would recommend him to anyone. He's patient and works with you as you move closer to your goals. Makes sure your posture is good and slowly adds weights and reps to your plan. I can't wait to work with him some more in the future.
If I could give the place 0 stars, I would. Don't believe them when they say that if you move, you don't have to pay the buyout fee. I moved and provided proof of moving to them. They ended up loosing all of my cancellation papers and did not send it to their head office. I ended up being charged another full month. Where I moved to was also outside of their 35 km zone (they will not cancel your contract if you move to a place that is with 30 or 35 km from a Goodlife location). When I disputed the charge with their head office, they were very rude and found me at fault for moving. In the end, they did not reverse the charge even when I brought it up with the BBB. Dishonest company. Stay away from them.
Love this place!
This gym was recently expanded and the changes are great. I don't use a trainer but I do explore all sections of the gym. The women's change room is huge, there are showers, a recent revamped dry sauna, a women's only studio, a spin room, a open concept space, hot yoga (coming soon), tanning beds, plus tons of cardio equipment, free weights, and weight machines!
Dressing rooms are dirty along with the lockers. Facility needs new equipment
Staff push you to get different program and they look like they havent workout in year. Please let me do my workout i dont need you
Best gym
Charged me some membership fees on a frozen membership after I had canceled. Even though I canceled in time for the deadline, called the help line and they said they unfreeze when you cancel your membership then wait a month to cancel it, do not sign up! they are just money grabbers and don’t care about how they get it. froze my account during Covid as I work at a retirement community so I needed to be really careful, if I had gotten sick, my whole community could be wiped out. after a while I decided I shouldn’t be going to the gym for the next while anyways, at least until there was a vaccine, so I decide to cancel membership, they unfreezed the account then charged me again for my membership, called the helpline thinking they must have made a mistake. but nope, they just force you to pay. Found it so unfair and gross
Great experience...nice place for females' privacy
This place is pretty busy. Good location and a larger variety of equipment to choose from.
Good spot, great summer deals. Friendly staff that can be a little more social than focused on their jobs. The gym is clean and has a great selection. But it's getting harder to find cardio machines that are maintained. The noise that comes out of some of them makes it tough. I know there is a reporting feature. But putting your maintenance priority up to your patrons is short sighted. There should be scheduled checks of the equipment.
If you are interested in steroids or want to buy some as a present I am sure 1/3 people that work out here take them ..... Big and fancy with a big price to pay for membership.....
Back to 24/7, quiet early in the morning.
Helpful staff. Good trainers. Good variety of equipment. Good parking and accessibility.
Always helpful to be greeted by authentic hellos and good morning! Helps motivate for that 06:00 morning without that behind the day!
Great staff! If you haven’t tried the classes you are missing out! RPM at 5:30 at Preston location!!
Great facility. Lots of equipment
Like the gym, a member, shower heads need to be thoroughly cleaned or replaced.
Great location with lots of parking space. All the machines are fairly new and latest. Spacious, even when highly crowded doesn’t feel suffocated. Staff members are very friendly and helpful. The trainers here are very professional and experienced. Lots of fit people here and thats very inspirational for beginners. Highly recommend.
like the fitness courses!
Awesome place. Been going there for 2 summers now with there teen fittness program. Well recommended
Friendly staff, management and my trainer Mina have been absolutely amazing. Been with them for over two years, thanks guys!
Very happy with it. The only 24h gym that I know of in town, and I love that. Gets a bit busy and smelly in the evenings though.
Good place for exercise
I have been a member of this gym for 5 years now, and would say this is the best gym I have ever been a member. The gym recently expanded, adding over 10 000 square feet of floor space plus a hot yoga studio. The staff are friendly and helpful, the change rooms are large enough to accomodate when busy, and they have lots of showers. There is a ton of parking, they have lots of free weights, and every machine you would need. I work out early in the morning, so being open 24 hours a day is a huge bonus for me.
I love working out here and the team that works in the morning on weekends is amazing. Sarah is super friendly and nice. Austin is always cleaning everything very thoroughly. Great staff and well-maintained gym.
Now that they finally fixed the cellular signal issue in the building, this place is pretty good. The Bad: - No wifi - Only two power racks and 1 Squat rack, 3 benches - Evenings are PACKED - Items are frequently MIA - Showers are always broken and out of soap. The Good: - Expanding gym into next building!! Adding 4 power racks and some benches! - Decently well maintained. - Staff do their best to replace weights left about by losers who don't re-rack weights. - Lots of options for equipment and weights.
A great Goodlife location. Clean, friendly staff, and lots of available equipment. I travel a fair bit for work and visiting Goodlife gyms like this one remind me why I've stayed a member.
Employees are allowed to blantantly lie for personal financial gain and the company protects them
I love this gym.
It was a nice place to workout until the new year and they signed up another 100 people and didn't take into account that the gym would be so busy you can't even work out. There's too many people now and it takes forever to even get a machine or some weights to do. Sometimes I've had to skip a workout because literally every machine was taken so I went home. Plus a couple employees are not very friendly at all.
Membership fitness centre with personal trainers
Best gym ever. Staff is great
The staff are really friendly and always willing to help explain and work with you to reach your goals!
Staff is always outgoing and helpful.
Everything is great except needs wifi so I can YouTube stuff =]
Large gym with lots of equipment. Very busy place, lots of people go here. Offer classes and hot yoga. Has a few massage chairs. There's a woman only section. Large parking lot, no problem to find parking.
8th street location is very poorly maintance and change rooms are filthy and just plain stink
One of my favorite places. I think the pandemic has made things a little different bur they have adapted quite well I think. Thanks for making the extra effort so I can keep doing what I enjoy.
I have fun there. Good staff, friendly and personable. A real pillar in the community.
I've been a member here since they opened up. (almost 5 years) I used to love it here, however, there has been so much turn over here that i don't recognize any one working here now. The new management team are cold and don't even say hi to anyone! Also, friend of mine that had personal training here, went through 3 different trainers because they keep leaving Goodlife. and they wouldn't refund or cancel her contract. It's a good gym to go to, if you live close to it. other wise don't bother.
I love working out at good life. Also love Jump! Child minding at the center mall location.
I love the golden mile location. great facility, friendly staff. Except today I tried to get a receipt for my membership payments, it could take up to 27 days to receive it, this was after waiting 2 hours for a call back.. I would be out of business real quick if I offered customer service like that.
7:15pm is too early to be closing on a weekend.
Equipment and trainers are great. The contracts, not so much. Having financial difficulties? Awesome, you can choose to either have a continuous late fee of $50/month or pay $650 to cancel your personal trainer and $100 to cancel your membership. Can't afford to cancel for $750 on a 1 year contract? Too bad, I guess you will need to continue paying $500/month + late fees until you can. The only other option is to put your account on "freeze" for a month at a time costing you $60/month if you have a trainer or $10 if not. Your contract is then extended by that number of months so really its just a cash grab. People find it hard to believe when you need to save up for MONTHS to CANCEL a gym membership. Only at GoodLife.
Great fitness center with lots of equipment and classes. Clean and well run.
Favorite gym in Saskatoon. Color scheme is red and white if your into that. More or less all the gyms are the same ( choice of color scheme - motion is green and white that really defines a place , especially of the pricing is similar. )
Its pretty smelly.. Alot of people dont have good gym etiquette here..
Avoid at all cost ! Just bought their membership and learned there is no hot water in ladies ?REALLY ? Can’t provide 24 hrs of services then don’t open 24 hrs. Unbelievable
Open 24 hours.
Very Friendly , very clean. If you avoid peak times it is always easy to get on the equipment.
Well equipped!
Way nicer space than GL in Regina.
They just renovated it and it's so much better
Been going to this gym for 3 years now. Service Is hit and miss but usually greeted well. One female employee is horrendous st being friendly but all others are good. Large enough to not have lineups as well as feel like people are observing you constantly. Good gym. Expensive price.
I went to this gym today, to inquire as to prices as they don't post them on their website. The reception I got was more than rude, and the staff were ill-informed as well. After several minutes of being repeatedly asked the same (simple) questions I was passed off to the manager, who still could not answer my questions without the complementary tour (which I didn't have time for). At which point I asked, for the umpteenth time, what the prices were - this was given by an answer of they don't have brochures or anyother material to pass to customers; which I found stupid as their competitiors are more than happy to give you written materials to compare rates and prices/packages. Overall I left with the opinion that this gym is run by the stereotypical jocks who can't seem to get their collective asses in gear to run a decent, customer oriented business. I will happily take my business elsewhere where the staff can answer questions designed for the simpleton.

Huge gym with lots of well maintained equipment. Also excellent instructors for the classes and several personal trainers also available.
Find when I go and ask staff if we could view certain channels I am told they can not access the room or do not know how to put certain channels on????? Can management please rectify this problem?
Matthew is very friendly. Large space. Lots equipment. Very clean.
Been a member for awhile. Close by. Friendly staff.
Only disappointed thing is to build a steam room, other gym had it already
Terrible, not open again today (and yesterday). no email, no warning. They simply don't open their doors. Update, from response given: I have already signed up at another 24 hour gym that is always open, and where the employee's show up for work each day to open the doors.
Great gym!
Two weeks ago, this gym closes abruptly during the day without contacting members or putting something up on the website to inform people - instead, just puts a sign on the door to waste anyone's time who commuted to the gym that day. Then, cuts hours on weekends, then cuts weekend hours AGAIN. Now the gym closes at 7:15pm on weekends, which is WAY too early. Sign up at a gym who cares about its members like motion fitness or any 24 hour gym. This place is horribly managed and does not care about you. I wish I never signed up here edit: I see the owner has responded but that is deflecting regarding "health and safety regulations" when other gyms are open more than this place is if not 24hours and even the rock climbing gym downtown is open 3 hours (!!!) later than this gym is on weekends, which is sad really. There is no excuse for closing at 7pm
Very modern and clean facilities. A+ rating!
Very modern and clean facilities. A+ rating!
There is a thief who goes to this gym. My gym shoes were locked in the women's change room and then they disappeared. The staff did nothing. There are signs they are not responsible for stolen items but with it being they were LOCKED, I hoped they would at least look into it. Also, the free wifi is terribly slow.
They are so welcoming and nice. I respect their level.of services to people that come around.
The staff is quite friendly and the place is kept very clean. There are plenty of machines/equipment and the place is fairly large so there is never a wait.
No towels available
Absolutely fantastic personal trainers here; if you're looking for a great one ask for Kate! Best personal training experience I've ever had.
Had good customer service at first, then after 2 years, been having bad customer service. Personal Trainers are good and knowledgeable, but customer service is definitely lacking.
