I'll be honest, I teach yoga at this studio, BUT this review isn't about the studio. It is about the 9am Women's fitness class that Joyce does Monday, Wednesday and Friday. It's a dynamic mix of free weights, cardio, balance and sweat. I'm in pretty darn good shape, and I am feeling THIS MORNING'S workout so much at this moment that I am actually a little worried about how I may feel tomorrow. I run, I teach yoga, and I am sore. I also push myself hard when I am in the zone, so if you are like me, and you attend one of these classes go easy on yourself. I LOVE this class and I can't wait to see my progress. Thanks Joyce! <3

i asked the owner joyce dawn for advise on if yoga was safe after 2 spinal surgeries and asked for a consultation but she wanted me to go there do yoga with out asking anything about my surgeries or hardware installed...as a 20 year personal trainer i absolutely know SAFETY FIRST ..after leaving this review/ criticism, i was bombarded with THREATS of VIOLENCE from owners FAKEBOOK friends....i will go somewhere else which will listen to my concerns and does not resort to threats....

I was following your rant about Mr Menzies and he is a honorable man who appears was only asking for advise after his tragic accident and several surgeries to his spins and knee...he was vaild in asking a professional yoga instructor as it looks like a very physically demanding fitnes. joyce dawns the owner or instructor obviously is fabricating the whole story....Mr Menzies is happy and fun person and volunteers his time for seniors...the owners attack of mr Menzies is unfounded, untrue and full of holes in her story. as a business owner myself you must be complete honest and no lying as people can see right through your lies....this a person who is not honorable and makes up stories to validate herself....as a woman i am disgusted by your actions...not representing the comox valley like everyone else does in a positive fashion and including Mr Menzies positive influence in the community..

I have been studying Yoga for over 15 years and I have to honestly say that Holy Cow is my fave. studio ever! The beautiful old hard wood floors are comforting to stretch into & the instructors and kind as well as knowledgable. I would refer anybody of any age or caliber to try some classes at Holy Cow. Last winter I also participated in a Saturday Ballet class which was actually really run. Holy Cow is not expensive nor exclusive with a warm cozy atmosphere, free filtered water & a small consignment 'Mootique' to boot! Holy Cow is situated on Cliff right next to a Gluten Free Bakery in Courtenay. Hope to meet you there! Namaste.
