Every encounter at this facility is negative, Even when your calling for information to sign up for their services. My money is better spent in another municipalities swimming pool.

The prices are good, the staff, friendly... and the place is very clean. My only complaint are the time-tables... they seem to change without prior notice every now and then.

My experience is based on swimming lessons for my young baby (Niveau Etoile de mer/Starfish level). The only positive is for the actual young staff who thoroughly seem to enjoy giving the classes and being around children. That being said, the rest is a disaster. I had my young daughter in her 3rd class, as she was too young to move a up a level, we repeated the same level 3 times (We like swimming). The first 2 times went fine, but by time number 3, they decided to schedule the other baby class 15 minutes into the start of our class. So picture around 40 adults with young toddlers or babies, and 3 coaches all in the shallow end of the pool. The screaming noise level was ridiculous on top of simply not having enough room to perform the activities we were directed to do. Everywhere you would swim, you would find yourself completely surrounded at all times by different parents from different groups. Add to this coaches screaming directives to their respective groups and you have one crazy Saturday morning. There are also no "grown ups" (or proper managers) with authority present to complain to anyone or monitor the activities. The average age of the staff on Saturday mornings is probably around 18 (maybe 20). No one seems responsible enough (or mature enough) to tell delinquent parents to bring bathing caps for their kid (I had parents in my group that simply never had one for their kid, yet it's a prerequisite and all the other kids are wearing one and they sell them on site), or not go in the water before their time which only adds to the free for all atmosphere of the pool. An old building is an old building. I can live with certain flaws, such as a small locker room, and no appropriate changing tables or counters for children, but poor planing and managing is unforgivable. Bottom line, I hate encouraging incompetent businesses, so I've enroll my daughter in Mercier instead. There's also Candiac, Ste-Catherine or St-Constant to think of, probably Lasalle as well. They all offer red cross classes. Sure it's a little further out and slightly pricier since you are not a resident, but you will feel they are more deserving of your hard earned dollars.

The place is old but well kept up and clean. The pool is awesome although the hours of availability very greatly. You can book for a birthday party for kids which is an added bonus. They have vending machines in the entry which seems like an odd choice as they have unhealthy food and this is a gym.

I joined the gym, and pool 5 months ago, and have had no regrets. Great place for a workout, and a swim. The staff are experienced, and friendly. I have met a lot of friendly people there also.

They offer swimming lessons to babies from 4 months old to elders. They also have free time for everyone who wants to swim (a 3,50$ fee is applicable for person; if you aren't a resident is a bit more). There’s a gym in place as well and if you are a parent who happen to have a kid in a class then you receive a discount on the access to the facilities. They also have a swimming competition going on yearly for those who take swimming more seriously. There’s a food and water dispenser machine, they have lockers, and showers. Receptionist not super enthusiastic but polite and willing to give you all the info you need.

this place is disgusting, they say they have family room, but in fact it's a miserable room, it hasn't been cleaned for years, things are thrown everywhere, you have no hanger, no cashier available and there is no toilet or shower. Obviously, in 2020 not having a family room on the municipal pool, is a big shame for Chateauguay. You will comment that there is no money, but I am sure it's possible to clean and arrange that room , without additional costs.

Only place in Chateauguay for aquatic courses so don't really have a choice. The water is always freezing and for small children learning to swim it's not the best. But again, the only place so you are stuck. Did group lessons for awhile. Found absolutely no benefit. Switch to private lesson and immediately saw the difference. There is minimum 6 months waiting list though.

The staff is extremely friendly and the price is reasonable. I wish the locker rooms were bigger and a bit cleaner, but whatever, it's not like you're there to dine. The location of the polydium is perfect and is easily accessible by bike in the summer time.
