I went to this gym for 2.5years. I JUST got out of my membership...which you have to pay $90 to cancel...literally you go in 5 days to cancel before your membership is over..$90 ma’m...when i signed my membership contract towels were included. I go in 6months later and you now have to PAY for towel service...no warning, no nothing. okay so why didn’t my membership price drop? Payments are not consistent..they have a $25NSF of their own. Scam scam scamm.. 24/7...more like 24/4 . Full of college kids texting on the machines..treadmills always out of order..too small of a rec area...and half the staff is rude af and don’t look like they’ve ever hit the gym in their life. $50/month...no thanks. The only reason they get 2stars is because tanning is included #factsdontcareabouturfeelings

Tried out this club while visiting the island and was pretty impressed. Came for a Bodypump class but spent some time on the machines beforehand. Nice equipment and a nice studio! And a great Saturday morning pump instructor.

This gym is by far one of my favourite Goodlife gyms. It is always clean and the weights are usually in their proper locations. There is plenty of squat racks and it is easy to lift heavy there.

High amounts of the equipment frequently broken including treadmills and weight machines. Barbells are not in great shape and are becoming bare. Many trainers and staff are nice but one or two at this location can often create and unwelcoming atmosphere. If you are a beginner in fitness this is an excellent place. But be prepared to stick with it for a long period of time due to high cancellation fee in gym contract. If if you are an intermediate or advanced gym goer would suggest to look elsewhere.

Went here to give it a try.....I walked in the front entrance and noticed a gentleman behind the counter, obviously busy. I waited (meanwhile, there were around 3 other staff members in the back office, who noticed I was there, but did not come out to help me). After approximately 5 minutes the gentleman who was on the computer came over to me (didn't apologize for the wait, nor did he seem friendly). I told him I wanted to use the gym for the afternoon, and he said he had to input my information into the computer since I'd never been there before. So halfway through inputting my information, he just walks off to do something else, and a young lady comes over to the computer after about 2 minutes (she was a yoga instructor)......she then proceeds to ask me the exact same questions that the other guy had JUST asked me. After a couple of minutes, the guy that had been assisting me first came back, and finished up inputting my data into the system. Then he tells me that the "drop in rate" was $25 (didn't bother asking me if I wanted to try the gym out for free or what packages they offered or ANYTHING ELSE.....he said: "the day price usually deters people from buying it.....are you sure you want it?!!) I was shocked, but I'd already spent 20 minutes of my time just standing there, giving them my information, so I just paid the $25 and did my workout. When I finished (about an hour and a half later), I went back to the front desk and asked the same gentleman if he had a pamphlet or something with the different packages on it. He said he didn't have any, and he didn't know. So I asked him if maybe all of that info might be online? He said he wasn't sure, but that I "could try ". I was shocked and horrified at the lack of customer service.....these people did not give a hoot about possibly gaining a new customer......it honestly seemed like they couldn't care less that I was there. I was considering joining this gym, but after that experience, there is NO WAY I would. Very, very rude staff who don't care about customer service or increasing Sales!

Fantastic gym, very well maintained and clean, no shortage of equipment with multiple of the same machines and many free weights to spare, great staff and a very friendly environment. My only disappointment is that this gym isn't in my home town!

Was working out today, i was trying to lift heavy, i was on my last death set, when i was about to complete my set my muscles got tired, and took my hands off from the handles of one the back machines and weight was lil heavy and it made noise obviously, and then there was a guy came up to me and said you don’t drop weights like that it’s not good for your muscles and you shouldn’t make any noise in the gym, and then he went to the management to complaint about me, and unfortunately management supported him what he said, and told me to feel sorry to him, Just want to let manager now, because she is the one who was talking to me, that this is not a library its a gym, it can be noisy sometimes, and we pay for the membership which includes wear and tear of the gym, so rather than being biased to one side understand both situations , and i am the of goodlife from at least two years never had a single complaint and I referred at least 13 people to this gym, so be professional and understand the situation like mature person,

I hate the fact that it says 24 hrs and it is not , it pisses me off . I have showed up late on friday or weeknd and it was closed , and then i remember it supposed to close at this time on friday and on weekends, I mean just remove that big stupid 24 hr sign, so u don't fool people to join here, I joined here in the first place cuz i want to be able to go at anytime, that is why i am.paying 50$ a month , other than that everything inside the gym.is awesome including staff

My girlfriend and I were interested in trying out this gym and we walked in and the lady at the desk told us we needed to sign up online and the application takes around 10 hours to go through (Which is ridiculous), so we tried to sign up at home via the website, but nothing happened and the website would just keep going back to the payment page. We tried calling the gym a few times but no answer. Turning people away and telling them to apply online is a horrible business model, and a good way to discourage new people who want to work out.

I visited here multiple times during my stay in Charlottetown to get in a few workouts. The equipment was good and everything looked maintained, but some of the staff at the front lacked some of the most basic, rudimentary social skills that you could imagine. When I nodded, smiled, and said, "Hi!" to one of the female staff upon entry, she stood there with a deer-in-the-headlights expression of bewilderment on her face and didn't even muster a reply. There was a chap with glasses and an older gentleman who greeted me and both were excellent, but some of the female staff need to start practising a little more courtesy. It goes a long way and sets the tone of your workout, as cliche as that may sound.

This review is not about one star rating but just to get there attention about whats my experience in about 2 months of me working out daily on exact same night time around 11 pm. So from day first i joined i am noticing the cleaning and disinfecting of place is terrible believe me specially washrooms . The urinal place in mens washroom of course get dirty if people use but its not pain to atleast sanitise and clean once a day i have seen urinal still not cleaned and untouched as from day one and its been 2 months i joined i also remind them but still no chance . I asked the janitor personally to have a look but the answer he said will shock u . He said he dont work for goodlife he is third party . Dude i literally see u everyday with cleaning cart . U do work here it is ur duty now after all this finally i am posting this not just to give a one star but just to remind in this pandemic and COVID situation please i request please at least clean washrooms . Janitor should know rven if he is third party still he works for cleaning thanks pics in-post believe me i swear its not one day dirt this is something i am seeing from last 2 months

just one star due to the fact that the majority of people don't wipe equipment down after use. they don't have any signs posted around the gym to remind people, or enforce it and i have yet to see a trainer teach their clients to wipe anything down after use. I haven't been to any other gyms on the Island so i'm not sure if its the culture of Goodlife PEI or all the gyms here are the same in this area. The front end staff in the last year is way friendlier, welcoming and helpful than prier. Nice size to the place with a decent amount of equipment, nothing usually gets to clogged even at busy times except when people spent 10 mins texting or whatever on their phones between each set.

Expensive membership but so worth it, it's such a big spread out space and there is an option for trainers and they're so awesome to work with ???? There is also a "class" room and anyone who's a member can join, or you can use the room to do video classes.

My aunt used to go to this gym and she had no problems. Those who are members may or may not have any problems and might have good experiences. My friend gave good life fitness my name and cell number when she was joining. I'm not interested in that. Goodlife keeps calling me. They just won't quit and it is quite annoying. It's been going on now pretty much all summer. I can't afford it and not interested. I talked to them once when they called a couple weeks ago and the guy I was talking to didn't even ask me if I was interested. It seemed like he didn't really care if I was or not. He kept going on and on about making an appointment. I tried telling him that I want to pass on the membership, but he wouldn't listen and ended up booking me for that Monday. I obviously didn't go. They still keep calling and from different numbers. Over the past weekend I blocked 2 numbers that they had called from and just today I got a call on my phone, didn't answer (at work), looked up the number and it's them again. So I blocked that number. I just want them to stop calling me. That is my experience and they probably ruined any chance of me going to them in the future.

Tried this gym when they first opened. They were offering a "week" free membership but they neglect to tell you they will take the payment from your bank account for the rest of the month! Have not been back since!

This is a newer gym that is open 24 hours. It has a lot of room and the equipment are newer, which I really like. It doesn’t make you feel like you’re working out too close to other people

This gym is equipped with top notch equipment .. friendly staff and clean bathroom/locker room ... my biggest and many other people's biggest complaint that this location claims to be a 24/7 gym ... it is not and is a fraudulent claim .. to be closed on Saturdays and Sundays at 7 pm is ridiculous...

The gym itself is actually okay, seems pretty well maintained, nothing negative to report on if you just want a gym to do your routine workout. I got the premium training package and I could not be more dissatisfied with the experience. The hour-long sessions were often delayed and done early (excluding end of workout stretching which was the same every session and could’ve been done on my own time... I did pay 350 for the week of hour long training sessions). The training sessions were often running into other people’s sessions, I had 2 sessions rescheduled, and was almost asked to switch trainers at the beginning of a session due to my regular trainer having to leave or something. The main reason I got a trainer was to learn exercises that were meant for me and would give me results that I was looking to achieve with my body. I specifically asked for no leg workouts, I already had leg workouts planned and didn’t want to waste training time on it. He said okay and scheduled days for leg days anyway. On top of that, after discussing the experience with two friends with the same trainer, I learned that the exercises were the exact same. I was also promised a meal plan, the only discussion I ever had in all of the training period regarding food was when I filled in my dietary information while paying for the service. The package was also supposed to come with a workout routine, I had to ask for it twice after the sessions were over and it took about a week to get to me. it was a word doc of a copy-pasted chart full of grammatical errors. I could honestly care less about the format so long as it delivers the information but the whole experience was just unprofessional. I brought up my complain a month later and was asked to speak with a manager, except the managers were never there. Didn’t really run into any arguments with anyone I just stopped going there after that. I only expressed my complaints and asked if I was eligible for a refund and was denied. waste of money but I’d be happy knowing someone can read my experience and avoid the whole training they do, total scam. It also helps knowing that the specific trainer I had was fired not long ago.
