Great equipments and Good prices absolutely recommended…
Great price.
Who designed the change rooms?!!?!? Never been to a gym with such small change rooms. You literally are standing there waiting for a spot to change. Absolutely terrible. They should definitely re-think about making it bigger.
Excellent place...
Even though I had to cancel my membership, I'm still giving Crunch 4 stars. The manager Chris is really on top of any customer concerns, when I cancelled my membership the staff at front desk were helpful and overall everyone is very friendly with good customer service here. I took away 1 star just because a lot of the fitness equipment in the women's section of the gym was not working (the touch screens were almost all broken on the cardio machines). Hopefully I can rejoin the gym once my son is older and can tolerate the playcare area better.
This is my fourth gym in Cambridge. This is easily my favourite gym. Friendly staff and other gym goers. I look forward to being here for a very long time.
Parking can be a nightmare. #firstworldproblems, I know. But still, it's extremely frustrating. Its a small place and it really does smell funny. Most people seem nice there though. Just wish it was bigger. I've opted to switch to LA Fitness just down the road. A little more pricey but well worth it in my opinion.
No ventilation in the womens area, touch screens barely work. Steam room hasn't been fixed in at least a year. A glass bottle was dropped in the change room by a friend, and the staff at the counter just shrugged and said they don't know what to do about it.
Affordable prices, friendly staff, decent equipment, tanning is a plus. The bathrooms there aren't the cleanest but otherwise it is a decent gym.
This used to be a clean place to workout. Cleaners hours must have been cut back. Also any membership changes cannot be done at the location. You have to call a support number.
I had charged for the personal training fees even after told them to cancel my membership which was within 1 week of notice because I left the town in November 2020. I had to paid for when the gym was closed in lock down. Further, I sent email to Manager Dillon but I did not get satisfied answer. It's unprofessional to took money from client, when they was not providing services. When I go through the review of this place, alot of the people had issue with fees. I recommended not to choose the personal sessions.
I do workout here
Excited to get back to regular work outs.
Excellent
They just charging from my account for no reason and doesn’t wanna answer my calls too
Great gym, new equipment and friendly staff. There are times when its just too busy, but at $10 a month you cant go wrong
Amazing staff!
Doing such a great job of cleaning their space at this time. You see a staff member walking around cleaning equipment constantly to keep members safe, face masks are encouraged as much as possible and 6ft apart of course. So grateful for this awesome team helping get members back to the gym!
I love this gym the staff are very friendly and I love the trainers I love Zumba the most
Great gym.
The new Gym Is awesome. Good layout. Lots of room to work with. props on that. But the change rooms on the other hand.. probably the smallest I've ever been in. If there is more than 6 people in there, you are in trouble. I would hate to be there during peak times. Fortunately I don't go to the gym for the change room.
Lots of stuff bad bad men's shower
The cheapest gym in the area. Usually busy. Clean friendly staff. Awesome steam room.
Friendly staff, clean, and the equipment is in great shape.
The membership is super affordable... Under $12 a month for the regular membership!
Place is disgusting. Machines are poor quality and old. Staff are rude and treat you with annoyance if you dare disturb them from their head buried in a phone. The changerooms are tiny and almost always filthy and disgusting. Guess what can you expect from a crop gym for $10 a month....however it isn't even 10 a month they have hidden fees that when averaged out make it closer to $25 per month. Do yourself a favour go to a better gym where you aren't likely to get a staff infection or mumps from simply touching a machine.
Cassandra said she would cancel my membership on June 17th. I have email proof yet am still being charged monthly? I've emailed several times since and been ignored. Time to contact a lawyer it seems. Sigh... I did like this gym pre covid and was looking forward to returning but after being stolen from for months I definitely won't.
Horrible service, smells funny, poor equipment.
Nice gym, not a fan of how small the change rooms are and also not a fan of the whole “no bags on the gym floor policy” my bag isn’t causing you harm..
Feels like home Xo
Pretty disappointed the gym isn't 24 hours at all and tonight when I asked to stay 3 minutes to 7:03, they denied me. Just stop saying your 24 hours. I can't believe it. It's not like they would have been out of the building by then. The gym changed its name, I assume because of the negative reviews so they rebranded. Parking is a nightmare, but it is cheap. Just watch out for shady charges.
Very helpful staff and an amazing experience, I must say. Ever since I 've moved from U.K to Canada. I 've been to 3 different gyms-- 2 in Toronto and now Crunch in Cambridge. The owner is such an amicable lady and she is always there to nag you wiv a friendly conversation. She actually makes you feel at home, truly a gem of a lady. Then the rest of the staff is also pretty interactive and rather motivating. Lucas who wants to be a firefighter in future, keeps a tab on you and makes sure that you are updated wiv any changes in policies or any other new facilities provided, which one could avail. Lastly the Aussie lad and his young but super fit lady colleague ( don't remember them names), who are official trainers at the gym are always there if you have any queries regarding exercises/machines. Overall it's the place to be for quality workout in tri-city area. I started training after 6 years, but both the times when I was in Toronto I couldn't keep up or stay regular but thanks to these guys I am pretty much back in the game.
They usually doble charge me fees, dirty washrooms, the manager is rude and not professional.
Charged my account though I canceled my membership
Great rates and good selection of equipment. Update - I was unfortunately one of the people who couldn't cancel my membership (despite following the instructions they gave) and am still being charged. These unethical practices have turned what was a good experience into a dreadful one. 1 star because of the ethical issues.
Good and reasonable priced.
Scammers!! Thats what they are at the moment. No response to emails nor call. Charging credit card every month even when they are closed! Who is Cassandra? What are you, a president?! Gezz just reply people!
Nice facility, clean and friendly staff
Not a lot of weights but enough to keep you relatively involved
Professional, everyone stays to themselves, plenty of equipment, spacious with lots of lockers. Only complaint is the showers but whatever lol
Noisy
I really like this gym and the staff that work here. They are consistently friendly and genuine, more so than some of the other ones in the Tri-cities. I use the childcare there and my kids love going there - the girls who watch them are quite good. This is the only Tri-City Crunch gym (not sure about Galt) that has full length lockers in the guys change rooms (the first and back two rows), and a steam room in addition to the sauna. The only thing stopping me from giving them 5 stars is that the parking is challenging during busy periods, some equipment is old, and there are no hair dryers in the guy's washroom.
SHADY. Im out around $400 now because when quarantine ended they started theyre auto deposits without telling me. And when they told me theyd put it on hold i had another 2 deposits come out and they refuse to refund me. Be smart. Do not join crunch.
Excellent classes and clean environment for a bang of a price!
Small outfit and has that good ole gym smell
Horrible customer service, wouldn't recommend joining this gym. My wife cancelled her membership but continued to be billed. We have been trying to recover the money owed for months to no avail. Would give zero stars if it was an option.
Nice people there
Have not been in the gym since November due to the lockdown. I'm owed personal sessions and was told they would be in contact when I can restart training. Still waiting. August 12th realized $678 taken out of my account for what. Called the gym and the receptionist claimed I was being rude, put me on hold and then put the phone on do not disturb at 9am. I just want to know why my money was taken when I haven't been in your gym and no one is calling me about my sessions that I'm owed. Edit: Had a conversation with Dillon and he was really helpful.
New gym started last Aug not complete yet...no date yet.
Great gym with lots of equipment and classes.
I didn’t went into the gym after taking membership of a year, still they charged me another year membership and 2-3 months monthly fee???????? I talk to them but they fix nothing????????
It's hard to enjoy my time here because they always have their own obnoxious music playing super loud. Almost everyone has their own headphones, so they clearly want to listen to their own music. The classes that run outside the seperate rooms are obnoxious. Yelling. Loud music. Zero Zen. Don't join.
New location is much better. Plenty of parking now, finally. The gym is average. Enough cardio machines, mostly enough weight machines. They need more squat racks. Never even had a chance to squat ever since I got my membership a few months ago. Lots of nice looking young people. Kind-of busy but not insane. Mostly regulars. The locker room is too small. During the winter this is going to be a serious problem. They put lockers outside but bruh, where are you going to change? Update: after having been there for more than half a year, I can say that I have yet to have an opportunity to touch a squat rack, it's always busy. They have the space to include more squat racks but it's never going to happen I assume. Whenever you send them an email they don't reply. The gym is getting busier and busier, it's a bit crazy in the winter during peak hours. The tricep pushdown machine thing is always super busy. The gym is just a bit too small still. They should remove a part of their group fitness area and replace it with weights. Why is the group fitness class happening in the middle of the gym? Go do it in the closed off space. Also stop blasting the music, you're destroying my eardrums. Even when the group fitness class isn't on they blast music. Chill fam the People are listening to their own music. There are too many cardio machines too. Plenty unused. More weights is needed. Staff is cool. Soap dispenser has been broken for like a month and they don't seem to be in a rush to fix it. There are punching bags which is cool. I've been given masks when I asked, sometimes they say they don't do that (inconsistency - staff uninformed about their pandemic process it seems). During the winter we need to have a place to put our wet snowed-in boots. Planet Fitness has a good process for that, I have no clue where to put my boots there, this will become a problem in Jan/Feb. The gym was too hot at the start of the winter, I sent an email (they didn't respond) and now it's better. Very weird that they don't respond. The short female staff is a baddie and works super hard. Re-rack your weights scrubs. And stop looking at yourselves shirtless in the mirror taking pictures of your new muscles, I'm trying to wash my hands.
Great gym to go to, decent workout area with friendly staff.
Today I canceled my gym membership because you are discriminating against the unvaccinated. Discrimination is always wrong no matter what mandate the government pushes thru. This is wrong. The person at the counter couldn’t care less.
Derek is the best front desk staff of all time
Good place to workout only 3 stars as sometimes there are non-working equipment
Home. Love it there
staff are fun & welcoming
Great value. Best price around. Clean and friendly staff.
Probably the worst company for customer service for eight months. I've been trying to get a hold of someone about a refund. I've been told the refund would be six weeks by two different people now the Company is just ignoring me. It's not a small refund either.
The staff at this location is super helpful and friendly. The new equipment is a welcome sight considering the condition of the machines at the old location. Finally there are more spots to deadlift and squat, but there are no mirrors to check on your form. The layout of the gym is awkward and the locker room is an absolute joke. Also, there is no sauna. I guess that is what you get for $10 a month...
Friendly staff! Most of them usually say hello and carry a decent conversation. I've seen many giving a quick tour of the facility as well. Good selection of weights and equipment. Damaged equipment are repaired quickly without fuss. The manager Em is really nice and accommodating. No issues here.
Great prices and honestly great people from the staff to the clients I love the no discrimination policy.
Great staff and good facilities all round.
This gym was closed for covid over 7 months ago and I requested to cancel my membership. I sent an email 7 months ago and they still haven't gotten back to me after sending several more emails. They are still charging my account even though I've requested to cancel my membership and moved across the country. Don't support these guys, it's not that good of a gym anyway. 7 months and no email back. I'm lucky I checked back into this because I'm super busy but rest assured they'll keep taking my money. Maybe you should invest in some more customer service employees so you can actually answer your emails. Ridiculous....
Staff and trainer's are and helpful friendly and willing to answer your questions and the
FINAL EDIT: Mea was amazing and helped me right away after my final straw. Thank you Mea!!! Just like the other reviewers, they took an annual membership from me and I haven’t stepped foot in their gym even when I got my membership last year due to covid lockdowns. They charged me back in March and I emailed them with zero response back. Unacceptable Edit: Updating to say that two emails I still haven’t gotten a response. 5-7 day turnaround is a lie. Do NOT join this gym!! Another Edit: they took my money again without answering any emails and won’t answer their phone
This is by far one of the better Crunch fitness locations I've been to while actively pursuing my fitness goal!
Really looking forward to the reopening of this gym. Been a member for a while now. Very clean gym with new equipment. There's something for everyone here, from free weights, to cardio, to circuit training, to Olympic style lifting stations. Very well designed and maintained gym. Gets very busy in the evenings.
Great staff
This location is outdated, has limited equipment that is poorly maintained and not comparable to other Crunch's in the area that are far superior (Waterloo, Galt, Stratford, Waterdown & Brantford). The new Cambridge facility really needs to open soon in fairness to those that pay membership fees to this site solely. Luckily I have the upgraded membership and can go to other local Crunch locations and only in a "pinch" do I even consider the Pinebush one.
Best gym in the area! Amazing old school equipment and feel!
The old gym on pinebush was better. The machines here although new, are ergonomically tough, the machines and cables are sorely needing tuning/adjustment. I have to stack machines (40 lb difference from old location) On the plus side the heavy lifting area is solid and the HIT sled, ropes and monkey bar area is amazing. Also has a huge class room for stretching and yoga. No places to attach the trx that I’ve seen. The staff have always been good to me, no complaints there. Plenty of free parking. All in all it depends on your fitness level, more for the beginner to intermediate level location. Can’t go wrong for $10 a month.
Been coming here since early January. Staff is super friendly, lots of equipment. Only downside is the change rooms can get very cramped during busier times.
Needs a sauna.
friendly price. great yoga class
Clean place just busy
If I could give a -5 star review I would. I signed up in July for $35 and change “per month” membership. Not once have I been able to access the gym, the line ups outside have been extremely long, I understand it’s Covid and things are different now. I’m not complaining about not being able to get in, like I said I understand Covid has screwed stuff up for a lot of people. What I am complaining about is, 3 unanswered phone calls, 2 unanswered emails requesting to cancel my membership. If that’s not bad enough, they have charge my card almost $300 in the last 80 days. August, twice in September and again in Nov. And no, not the $35 and chance I agreed to, random amounts some for $44 and some for almost $70. Again, more phone calls and messages left and no one has ever called me back. I had to call the bank and cancel my card, thanks Crunch.
Good place to work out .Staff friendly
World Gym Kitchener, Cambridge and Waterloo are terrible. Contract was signed two years ago for multi facility use and now they are saying prove it because they are changing the contract and limiting your access to one gym unless you upgrade to the VIP package....they are trying to strong arm you into paying more money!!! what a load of crap....
Not enough space ..lack of free weight.mostly old stuff Friendly staff
Safe environment to workout. Good job Crunch fitness team
Staff and General Manager are unbelievable! I have not had better service anywhere at a franchise gym. I can honestly say that the staff are what make it. Lukas and Jenny have been just lovely to work with. I would highly recommend this location.
Friendly staff, always clean and provide towels to wipe the equipment. However, you might have to look for the dumbbells.
Love the atmosphere and how friendly the staff is. Top notch cleanliness!
Awesome environment and employees
Best crunch I've ever been to. They have all the right equipment, the layout is perfect, lots of space, staff is great. They have their protocols down pat, makes you feel safe. If they had 50 people inside I'd still feel safe with how big the space is.
Love my new gym. Lots of options for equipment and my kids like to go to the childcare. Only wish the classes were made for all skill level and not so fast pace.
New, very spacious, clean, well layed out, tons of treadmills, huge group workout area, friendly staff. Price can't be beat!
Nice, new gym with friendly and helpful staff and sufficient parking for larger crowds at least during the current capacity. Patrons also seem friendly and respectful. There is a good variety of fitness machines, equipment and weights. Currently configured to easily social distance.
HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE
Such a welcoming location. Staff and members are so friendly! Clean, and always lots of events on the go!
Crunch just keeps charging my CC even with gym closed. Called and emailed a couple of times......no answer.
Had a few machines that the Hamilton location did not have. Good workout.
I recently heard through the grapevine that you guys will be getting some new bar bells. A Swiss bar (multigrip) would be a great edition ;) ;) :) and perhaps a safety squat bar (with handles) :)
Billing is the worst...takes payments out as many as 5 days earlier than agreed upon date. Have not been to new location...although was led to believe that this would be an additional location, not a replacement for the one on Pinebush. Hopefully under new management!
Very poor customer service. Cheaper is not better
There is alot of machines and it may be busy sometimes but its a big place. You get a consutation training session when u become a member
Smelly, packed and loud. Only advantage, very cheap
We could’ve save the trip by calling them but we didn’t and we went there and we enjoyed a nice submarine sandwich in the portico which is does need a light and may be a camera for shoes
Good
Staff was rude to me when I requested for a refund on a charge that was taken from my account after I had cancelled my member ship. 3 payments later and they're still charging my account. I've gone for 2 refunds and I'm just gonna call the bank and unauthorize payments from them since they're stealing my money lol. You get what you pay for.
Great classes
Charged my CC a week ago with no explanation. Found out over her about "glitch" in their system. You can charge people CCs with out notice, but can't sent an apology emails to everyone within 24 hours?
Great staff great gym
I came here when it was still 'World Gym' (maybe something else, but wasn't 'Crunch'... I think). Requested a tour of the facilities and was asked to fill out a convoluted consent form. I asked, "You're not going to use this to spam me are you? Staff: "No, we don't do that" Me: "Man, this seems like a BUNCH of info just to show me around" Staff: "Don't worry, it's for liability reasons" Me: "I'm not planning on using anything today - Just want to see what you have" Staff: "We need your info just to show you around" In retrospect, that should have been enough of a warning for me to just leave but I had driven all the way here, wife and kids were with me, and I was kinda tired already... Ultimately didn't end up getting the membership since the parking is non-existent and could work out expensive but also the range of machines didn't meet my needs. And what happens a few weeks after? Sure enough, I start getting spammed. Grrr.
Was considering joining this gym but based on the negative reviews regarding how they are managing the membership fee...not a chance. Thanks to the posters for sharing your experience with us so we don't lock ourselves into that mess. Had a difficult time getting my monthly fee to stop for Anytime Fitness as well. Wish Get Physical 24/7 would've stayed open....was a great facility.
I moved in May of 2015 to a new Province and i forgot to cancel my service when i moved. I have called several times to have it cancelled to be told it is, than to find out I am being charged every month. This is very unprofessional of World Gym and I am not happy they have taken 6 months of my money after I was told it was dealt with (and no I am not on contract as of Jan 2015) there is NO reason for this at all.
People are hilarious. It's $10 a month. If you don't like it. Don't be so cheap and go to one of the other 20 gyms in Cambridge and pay $50+ to satisfy your stuck up needs. #firstworldproblems
Very disappointed in this new location. It is open concept and trying to find a private spot to stretch/do a core workout is awkward and inconvenient. There is no private women’s only area anymore either. If you are the type of person who likes a bit of privacy while you workout this gym is not the spot for you. The women’s change room is very tiny and again, there is no privacy. You are bumping into people constantly.
I tried to cancel my membership months ago because of covid (I thought I did using their online process). (I haven't gone in months). then very recently saw a charge by them. Called in and spoke to someone who admitted they didn't go through all the backlog. Sent another email and was told : "We actually do not have an online cancellation process, there are only 2 ways you are able to cancel via email or coming into the club because we need documented proof so I'm not sure who you would have spoken to." Bunch of shenanigan's.
Love the service they give
Poor customer service. A customer service representative named Alyssa snapped at me when I forgot my key fob but was trying to enter the gym. Any other gym would have let me in after checking my phone number and name but she also needed me to take a photo and get a new key fob. Strange.
Well the experience starts out bad when you cant find parking. Then there are the holes in the walls and one drinking fountain in the building on the top floor; did I mention the womens only area is on the ground floor. The icing on the cake is the classes that are so overcrowded that the heat is literally unbearable and the floors actually become moist and dangerous. Seems to me like this gym is in need of a major overhaul.
Inconsistent billing. Watch out!
Charging me even though the gym is closed. Paid close to $120 in annual membership fees since the shut down. I've called and emailed these guys yet no response. Completely unprofessional to be taking money from clients and not even giving them the time of day to respond to an email. The company rep on here telling people to contact Cassandra for a reply within 72 hours is nonsense, I've emailed her almost 2 weeks ago and still no reply.
Now Crunch Fitness
Too crowded any time of the day.
Small place
It's a great gym for the money. They have a lot of equipment. Gym in Cambridge was updated recently too. I've found equipment in the gym that I never found at goodlife (ex. Landmine).. Also really like how space is dedicated to specific workouts. Dealifts have a specific area and mats, so you don't have to take a squat rack. You can't beat 10$ a month, I have the VIP for 20$ a month and it's still cheaper than LA, goodlife and every other gym in KW.
Awesome gym! I love the atmosphere and they offer a great array of both free weights and machines, cardio equipment and classes. The staff is very friendly and super helpful. Not only that but they remember you and treat you like a normal person not just another client paying their bills.
Hespler location is great. Clean and new equipment
Love their COVID practice! I feel so safe there. In fact its the only thing that is keeping my mental health under control ????
Good price, good equipment <3
Involvement is good but ExerciseMachine is not enough .
Good gym, but the gym is PACKED and no parking at times. There should be a limit per month on how many times you can give out guests passes. WAY TO MANY PEOPLE.
Try fixing your hours on your google ad and on your website. Google says 24hrs on Friday. And your website also says Friday 24hr to 10pm. You cant be open on Friday for 24hrs if your only open till 10pm. That would be 22hrs not 24... Your google ad has the right times for Monday 5am-12am but once again posted 5am-24hrs on Monday on your main site please, If you are not open 24hrs in a day then you are being incorrect by stating 24hrs... This only bothers me because my friend and gf both made the mistake reading these times on several occasions and have asked to have it fixed but... were still waiting The gym has a good price and decent equipment. But due to an extended deal they keep offering for a cheep monthly membership it is very busy most times of the day. They have finally gotten a 2nd flat Olympic bar bench-press & a real squat cage thanks God. Overall OK
Am very disappointed....worse customer service
Easily the best crunch location in KW.
Always enough machines. Great classes.
They have a lot of reason to charge your money. It is not a good company.
The staff are friendly and well mannered! Hey Chris! The current manager there he's a cool dude! And spectacular service from all the staff too! They save water though in their showers "scrub quickly" lmao!!!!
What great staff! Prices are unbeatable. I love that the aqua massage and tanning beds are included in my membership. They also have a women only area, which is nice.
equipment is set up pretty nicely, and its not often something is taken for long when you need it.
Crunch charged my credit card months after I quite the gym. I reported it to them as soon as I saw it. I visited and phoned them. All I ever got was the run around. The old, oh you have to talk to so and so. They don’t return calls. This gym is a rip off that you should never trust with you credit card number.
This place is scam. They charge you crazy money while they are close due to province-wide lockdown.
the place is always packed with people that take FOR EVER on machines. to many people in general hard to get a good workout in.
Pros: cheap, The gym is pretty clean and equipment is well maintained. Cons: very busy at peak hours, dumbbell rack is chaos, no curtains or partitions in showers is really awkward, no WiFi.
This is the best gym I have ever been to. My personal trainer Carrie is awesome. She truly cares not just about your physical health but your emotional and mental health. If you are looking for a great place to work out Crunch is it and if you are looking for a trainer ask for Carrie you will not be disappointed. There is also a young lady at the front Allanah who is so personable and always great you with a smile. Great Gym.
Great value for money!!!!!!! I had very low expections because it was so inexpensive, but i was pleasantly surprised!!! Clean gym, friendly staff, AWESOME classes, great machines. Thanks world gym for making the "going back to the gym" so easy for me.
If i could give a zero star i would. Charging the fees when the gym was not even open and even after closing the account last month - i am being charged. The staff is so rude and charging extra fees. I would not recommended anyone to become a member there.
Big and clean
The posted hours are a blatant lie. Sign says they'll be open from Dec 27 5am to Dec 31 6pm, yet I show up Dec 28 at 12:30am and they're closed? At least post the real hours you'll be open so I can plan my workouts.....
Like this place! I only come her for back day. Like the equipment better. Everything seems clean. Nothing bad to say about it.
The front desk staff are so friendly! Love the atmosphere and the people. The music is always on point. Great atmosphere! 10/10
Staff is very friendly and helpful.
Fantastic communication! Every month they touch base through Visa to remind me that I have a membership - Thanks for keeping me honest.
Great staff
I have been a member for a few years. I find the facilities more than adequate. There is a large variety of equipment to appeal to almost any user. Typically there is not a lot of waiting to got onto a piece of equipment. Facilities are generally clean. Staff is friendly and helpful. Some more attention could be paid to the elliptical machines as the ramp and resistance controls do not work on several when using manual mode. Overall it is a good gym and a great value.
People are friendly but bathrooms etc are never cleaned. Floor is rarely mopped. Been waiting 2 years for this new location to open. I will be switching to a cleaner place at renewal.
music is too LOUD. I can barely hear my own music even with noise cancelling headphones on
Awesome gym , great equipment , great atmosphere . Just don't forget your headphones the music is selected by whoever's working it seems like, you'll hear a good song come on and it'll get switched or a slow song come on and you'll fall asleep at your machine .. can be good depending on who's working ????????
Hey they have all new equipment. Can't beat the price
This is a good location, staffs are nice and ho there is a smoothy machine that you can get some good smoothies at a great price.
Clean great environment good people work there very helpful
Fantastic!
The women’s change room is really uncomfortable and doesn't allow any privacy. You are bumping into people constantly. There is no sauna in a new location. In this gym customers are required to wear a mask during workout, usually there is a line to get inside, waiting time is unpredictable (usually 10-30min) Employees do not care if it is rain or snow and that the gym members are freezing outside.
I love their hydro therapy massage tabke
No Complaints
The staff here are fantastic and they have a very nice facility. This is a definite go to!
I dont recommend this gym. They make you wear a face mask while exercising even though the government regulations say it is not mandatory. Social distancing is 100% possible because there is limited capacity. Why are they going against the law? No one is doing cardio more than a couple minutes because it becomes hard to breathe. Fitness facilities exist to IMPROVE your health but it seems Crunch doesnt care really care about your health in this case. Theres much nicer fitness facilities in Cambridge that do.
read your contract before you sign, i try to cancel send a letter 4 mths prior and now they said that i have to pay for the full membership, is ship and the worse facility i ever being, costumer service is really bad. you pay sheap is going to cost you more
SCAM ALERT!!! Employee sold us prepaid year membership, when it actually was 3 months... Had the audacity to suggest another year membership when they screwed us out of 9 months! Will never come back!
All they care about is money. I join the club 1 months ago and after that I had foot injury so I call them to cancel my membership and they said you need to visit our branch to canceled membership. I went there 10 days after and I show them my foot injury x-ray report and they said you need to give us notice before 30 days, so I tell them that I gave you a notice by phone call but , because of my foot injury I wasn't able to visit the branch location. Then after they don't understand my concern and charged me monthly fees as well as one time annual charge. Which is total around 73$. Guys covid-19 is running and instead of taking care for people and community they only taking care about money.
It's a good enough place to do what ya gotta do. I like that they have child care and the girls in there are nice, the front desk people are usually carrying on their own Convos amongst themselves which is a bit awkward. I found the same with the 2 personal trainers I used that they would carry on Convos with other people during our sessions which was frustrating to say the least. A problem they seem to have is they run out of the cleaning towels a lot (not that all of the patrons use them anyways which is a separate problem and super frustrating. I wish there was someway that cleaning the machines you use could be enforced at least in the women's area I have witnessed this to be a problem) but all in all for the price you can't beat it, just clean the machine before and after would be my suggestion.
I have been trying to reach the gym regarding a charge to my credit card and to cancel my membership for 25 days now with no response. Very frustrating to say the least.
Joined this club two weeks ago - I've belonged to several before in my lifetime. I find this is a great club. Excellent membership fees - I chose the $19 a month in order to go to classes and use World Gym in other cities. I've been to a few classes and they're wonderful. I also really like the new modern equipment and I've gone during peak times and I haven't had to wait for machines. The staff are very helpful. The hydro massage included in my membership is also awesome.
Is anyone else having issues with the app to get a booking?
Total dump. Their system repeatedly "lost" payment details and NSF charges kept showing up. Read your agreements thoroughly because apparently even after cancelling your membership they can charge "annual rate protection" fees. There is never any parking after 4pm. Spend the extra $20/month and go down the road to LA Fitness where their terms are much better, they have a brand new, bigger, and cleaner gym, and they seem to be a lot more honest then the clowns at Turd Gym.
