I really enjoyed my personal training sessions with Darren. I usually am hesitant when thinking about the gym and fitness. As i never know what todo, how to do it, as well as the discomfort in going alone. But after joining Uplift Fitness it has given me new insight as to how I need to challenge my mind and my body. The staff all their are super nice and very passionate about what they have to offer in regards to physical and mental health. It wouldn't be a surprise to feel like you're training with a best friend along side you pushing you to strive for greatness and reaching ones goals

I started at uplift fitness a little over a month ago at the Kitsilano location and was instantly treated to a professional, safely distanced and clean space to start my fitness journey. As someone who was new to the equipment and exercises, my trainer Emily Aitken takes the time to go through the proper form and outline the benefits of each exercise she has tailored specifically for me. My energy levels and confidence in the gym have already seen drastic improvements! Highly recommend Uplift Fitness and booking with Emily Aitken asap!

I was looking for a trainer who could help motivate me to workout harder, and Amy Lin was the perfect one! She was very patient with me, and her training style was very flexible to what I wanted. The gym itself was very clean and private. There were great social distancing measures. I don't feel safe in a large commercial gyms during these times, but I was very comfortable at Uplift. I would definitely recommend Uplift, and especially Amy as a trainer!

Would highly recommend checking out Uplift Fitness after my experience! Emily trained my friend and I at the Kits location and it was so great working with her. She's knowledgeable, friendly and knew how to pump us up! The gym was also very clean and I felt safe while working out in my mask. You can tell the gym cares about their clients.

I REALLY needed to get back in shape. I've been training here since 2018. There’s nothing I love more than feeling welcome in a place where I’m trying to better myself! Everyone here is so awesome and full of knowledge. You can tell that everyone is passionate about what they're doing and they love helping others. Their meal plans work! I learned why nutrition was important and how to use it towards building muscle and then to cut fat. It was such a game changer! Jay is an amazing coach and I'll be using him for the rest of my life!

My experience working at Uplift Fitness as a personal trainer has been invaluable and incomparable to any other private gym! You are not just simply renting space like other private gyms, but also a part of a team where you are provided with unlimited support, mentorship on all areas to excel (sales, marketing, client behaviours/habits, exercise science, etc.) and many (free) workshops exclusive to the team. If you are a solo personal trainer (and especially if you are newer in your career), you won't find another gym that will provide as much value and support as Uplift, as well as the tools to help excel your business and growth.

He helped motivate and inspire me to get achieve my best health and physique 2 years in a row for 2018 and just recently 2019! I came to Uplift looking to get back in shape. Amy is the best trainer you could ask for. She creates personalized workouts that maximizes the effectiveness of the training. The gym is very private and comfortable to workout in (especially during the time of pandemic). For most of the sessions, I would be the only person being trained/working out. I joined Uplift Fitness because I wanted to get back to working out and exercise after having done nothing of the sort the last year due to covid. Uplift provided me with a private facility to train and get back to basic exercises. While there, I was trained by Amy and I must say she has done an exceptional job. Throughout the entire process, Amy kept in touch to make sure I had been stretching and making sure I am intaking the recommended nutrients daily. I would definitely recommend Uplift and their team of professionals for your fitness needs! :)

I have been training with Jay for nearly a year now, and not only has he helped me learn more about how my body works in regards to my diet he has also helped me put on some lean muscle mass. He has helped me correct my form in deadlifts and squats, and taught me not to be afraid of carbs. He is extemely humorous and very friendly. Training with Uplift has been the best decision I've ever made for myself and my health. I always had an on and off relationship with the gym. While I was capable of going to the gym and doing workouts on my own, I always thought that the lower back pain I experienced was regular muscle soreness from my workout. I came from Montreal and I wanted to find myself a trainer for the duration of my time in Vancouver. I really enjoyed my uplift experience. Jayson really took the time to explain every workout we did and what areas it would benefit in putting on lean muscle and toning. I had a trainer back in Montreal whom which I paid twice the price, and she did nothing compared to the work that Jayson does. He explained to me all the positions for all my exercises, and even taught me to stretch before and after my workouts. I was very nervous at first as English is not my first language but Jayson was very patient with me and explained things until I understood. Workout aside he has very good energy and is an extremely humerus person who pushes you to do your best. Jayson and his staff deffinitley UPLIFT their clients. I loved my experience and I really recommend it to anyone wanting to learn more about fitness or just start somewhere. I injured my back in December and Braden came up with a regiment to help strengthen my core and gain mobility through proper stretching after workouts. I made a decision to get training from coach Aljon of Uplift Fitness to achieve my fitness goals. Oh man did I make the right decision, not only did Aljon help me transform my body to my goal. He helped me do it in crazy time. In the span of 3 months I went from 225lbs to 175lbs. I highly recommend this place to anyone who just needs that extra push to get them to reach the goals they want to achieve. There's nothing more satisfying. I have been training with Jay at Uplift for about 3 months now and it has been the BEST investment I could've made long term. I used to be someone that didn't know anything about weights, strength training and believed in strict diets. Jayson changed ALL of this. He knows my strength and threshold better than my own self, Uplift focuses on taking your weaknesses whether they are mental or physical and turns them into your strengths. Whenever I walk into Uplift, its with the upmost confidence, not intimidating at all like how I felt first walking into a gym. Jayson's precision is impeccable, this guy has all the patience in the world and won't let you leave until you get your form right. He really believes in his clients and is constantly there whenever I had a question. I highly recommend Uplift, from their positive and welcoming environment to extensive knowledge about nutrition and fitness - they really are the whole package. Thank you Uplift! Update October 2020: In addition to the above, Jayson and Anu have brought down my scoliosis by 70% and improved my posture drastically. Prior to this, doing any exercises that involved my lower back was out of the question but gradually over time, with the help of their corrective exercises i was able able to overcome this.

I have been to both the Burnaby and Kits locations of Uplift Fitness and every time I have been impressed! I chose Uplift because I wanted a personalized and guided fitness experience. I have been an athlete all my life but I wanted a trainer to work with me on correcting bad habits and building on weak areas. My trainer, Darren Wu, always comes prepared to each session and pushes me to bring out the best in the work out. I enjoy how each time I go into Uplift I feel like they are genuinely happy to have me there. I know I will get a great work out and learn the proper techniques to apply. I have and continue to recommend Uplift Fitness to my friends because not only has my fitness level improved but so has my understanding of how to safely improve balance, posture, and strength.

When I first started going to this gym a few months ago I wanted to change my workout routines and educate myself more on my body. I can truthfully say that ever since I have been having doing the one on one training sessions with my trainer (jay) I have been able to break barriers with myself and see the results! It’s not where you workout that matters, it’s how you workout! She had a good partner workout plan done for my friend and I, and I decided to do a few Zoom sessions with Emily from my home. Uplift has changed the way I thought having to workout felt. The positive environment the trainers create in the studio for each client keeps you motivated and wanting to come back for more and continue the fitness journey. The vibe in the studio is always a party where work gets done! Jayson, is by far the goofiest BUT best trainer I have had, he caters to my individual needs and wants as an athlete. He makes sure you know what needs to get done but does it in a way that makes it fun and motivating. He’s stern when need be, but a goof ball 95% of the time! I highly recommend the Uplift team to anyone out there looking for a trainer and gym they can workout at and feel comfortable and taken care of with that family vibe.

Learned and still learning so much from Uplift. Everyone's friendly and simply transforms and UPLIFTs your body &soul!!! Aljon's my personal trainer and he made me go over and beyond what I thought I couldn't do. I did my first proper sumo deadlift (that was my highlight). Also Aljon taught me sooo much corrective exercises and made me better understand my body and the movements. The team is disciplined, funny and the best motivator esp. on not so good days...really glad I found them.
