so I've been with this gym now probably over 10 yrs and I love it before when they had staff keeping an eye on things, since they are now 24 hours, service haven't been the same, people are dropping weights like crazy, it's nerve racking a times, summer time now and it's so stuffy and hot even when they "say" air conditioning is on but it's very uncomfortable. the place smells like urine in the back area, not sure how often bathrooms are being cleaned. I'm hoping someone will read this review as I've been a long standing customer way before they turned it into 24 hours and it's too bad cuz I am really thinking of switching my membership. I miss Petra, she's awesome when she was there tending the gym when i went there but i don't see her anymore, hope things will shape up soon or I will definately ship out.

The girl signed me up and got me all set up and even stayed past her shift. Covid laws in place and very sanitary. Not the place to be banging your weights around since there are other people below and that's also a good thing

**recent update on 2MAR2020, 2 STARS I have seen multiple negative comments about the membership cancellation and issues... i haven't experienced those so i can't speak to that; however, i just had an incident that my credit card got fraud and cancelled last WED and replacement arrived soon after. By Monday, i went to the gym and update my payment info and being told that i have missed "SEVERAL payments" and charged of $13.xx on the late payment. As i'm shown of the payment history, there was ONE missing payment on the most recent FRI and the late fee. It is rather upsetting as it's frustrating enough for having the credit card being fraud, on top on that, i'm being penalized and criticized for not calling in to inform of the removal of credit card payment info. I'm not sure about you, but gym membership definitely isn't the first thing that comes to my mind when knowing my credit card is fraud. Being a gym member since 2016, now I truly understand that loyalty to a location means nothing. there was no sympathy whatsoever given to my situation. I just finished worked and first thing i did was already coming to update the payment. Then i'm informed that I have multiple late payments and "you don't have to pay now, but you can't enter the premises with your key if you don't pay." Multiple late payments as in a payments from Last FRIDAY + a charge you placed on me. Making it sounded like I missed months of payments Frankly it was not the $13 that upset me. It was the lack of understanding of the situation I was in. ****A local community gym. It is 24/7. All the basic equipment you need to have a nice workout. It is rarely over busy, usually the same crowd that goes to this place but surely there are some new faces every now and then during new year time or before summer time. The place is relatively clean thou may need to work on dusting and cleaning the spider webs around the place

I gave them the form to cancel my subscription 2 months ago and they have still been charging me since. Promised me too that the payments would stop that month. I called them to ask if the form went through and said they had "a note" for it in the system. Be careful and check your bank statement because they'll try to milk as much money from you until you take notice. Terrible company.

Update to my old review. Staff remain lovely but gym is often very busy now and it can be hard to get a workout in . In addition the general odour of so many bodies kind of drives home you are working out in a busy room of strangers during a pandemic. Limiting the number if gym users would be a prudent step but the gym management don't seem to agree. Equipment is often partially broken now and management don't appear in a rush to upgrade or fix it .

I was a pretty happy customer and used to use the New West location which was fine. I then moved into Vancouver and used the location on 1st & Commercial. They have parking available. I renewed my parking and the girl upsold me for two years as their "parking rates were going up next week". I discovered that they had actually sold the place and that the parking permit wasn't even valid. A dirty trick to play on loyal customers. One star to add to their average due to dishonest business practices.

I've been coming here now for two months, it's a great little gym has everything I need. I also did get a few sessions with a trainer Chelsie and she was great and very knowledgable, the staff is friendly and the gym is clean. I was surprised when I read the previous comments as there is also new management now, I haven't had any issues what so ever. 5 stars and great monthly price 20.00!

This is one of the worst gyms that I have ever been in. I have been working out for over 30 years and travel the world. I am visiting here for 2 weeks so I asked for a 2 week membership and was told I could have a one week trial membership for no cost and the 2nd week would cost me $28.00. I signed up but discovered it was only for one week and the free trial was for only 1 day. They advertise a monthly rate of $19.00 but of course that is only if you sign a 2 year contract. The facility is over crowded, poor equipment, not clean and smells!

Absolutely terrible. Filthy facility. Full of gross d-bag bros leg/bench pressing way more than there capable of and the dropping then weights. Total caveman move. If you can't put it down gently, it means you can't lift it. Will never go here again. Staff stands outside smoking and spitting much of the time. They also lie to customers, saying their parking pass is good 24 hours per day in the underground. So now the parking is full of people that don't even use the gym and just go to the local colleges. In reality it's only good for a maximum 2 hours and only while you're at gym. Otherwise you could be towed. So unprofessional and dishonest.

I do not recommend this place to anyone. I signed up because of the low rates and the convenience of being close to home. Plus wanted to support a smaller mom and pop type gym. I signed up and paid my dues one of which was the upcoming $20 gym fee. To my surprise, they attempt to take the funds from my credit card a couple weeks later and for some reason I was informed of an NFS card on my credit card. Which there was plenty of room on, but they were trying to take the gym fund that I had already paid at sign up. Not a big deal, it was only $20 but I asked to have my account canceled and I was going to take my business elsewhere. I knew through the contract that I would have to pay two more times. To my surprise again, they took $50 from my credit card; the bi-weekly payment, the $20 gym fee they tried earlier plus a penalty. I didn't complain then even though I should have. I just wanted to be done with this company. Another payment came off of my credit card for what I thought would be the last time payment. Then two weeks later, they took another payment. This time I contacted them and they did refund my money after many back and forth emails. They wanted to be right and kept arguing rather than simple refunding the money and moving on. They finally said my account was canceled, but for some reason they have taken yet another payment from my credit card. Stay away from this company as you can never get them to stop taking payments.

SCAM, STAY AWAY. They are professional scammers. I have been scammed twice by this gym. Initially I purchased a package of assessment plus 3 training sessions, I've had the assessment and 1 training session, when I tried to get my last 2 trainings the ownership changed and they said I would have to pay again. I sent an email to both the new and old owners saying no new charges were to be made on my credit card and found out today they have been charging me all along, about 6 months and OVER 400 dollars from my account. If you read previous comments you can clearly see it is a common standard for them to play this trick and scam money from their customers. So the truth is there, if you want lots of headache and being stole be a customer of this gym.

I love this place. It's close to my work in New Westminster, friendly staff, they seem to keep equipment serviced and working (they don't have alot, but all you really need)...a great stretching area....there is a shower in the change rooms, but no lockers. (i have it at work so it's ok)... For the price and location (also across street from Columbia station pretty much)...you can't go wrong. Highly recommend!

The gym needs to do more precautions due to covid-19. The max capacity is now 20 people, but the gym is small, so it feels way too over crowded (around 8-10pm) I am not sure if there's proper disinfectant for viruses in the gym. I heard that the sanitizer was tequila, which is only a proper disinfectant for bacteria. I feel that the staff should disinfect the gym more often, and keep it clean. Otherwise, the gym has everything you need, and I've been going here for awhile. Overall, I like it and the location is convenient for me. I just wish they took more precautions due to covid as there's still cases in BC. Such as doing mandatory temperature checks, etc. Edit: Thank you for your professional and informative response!

SCAM SCAM SCAM UNPROFESSIONAL RUDE DIRTY GUY AT FRONT DESK FEELS THAT PEOPLE TREATHENING HIM AND WANT TO CALL POLICE ON YOU RIGHT AWAY WHEN YOU TRYING TO RESOLVE THEIR INTERNAL SCREW UP. My sister had signed up for the month to month plan without contract and asked to cancel this in October 2015, was advised that they require 30 days cancellation notice which she gave and paid for the last month. Turned out that she had to sign a cancellation form which they had never provided to her in October so her account went to overdue status and now when she signed the cancellation form in November, they are now also asking money for the December.

FitXpress is actually a pretty good gym for the money. For sure there are better equipped and more expensive gym to be found. One have to understand that they have limited space and therefore some machines aren't plentiful. Not too many freeweights for example, so you will have to expect some sharing. Also, only one squat rack and so forth. But in all honesty this isn't a big deal, for 20$ a month - give me two. Staff is friendly and helpful. Gym-goers are a dedicated bunch, there is a core group of people who you will see every day, which creates a very social club-like atmosphere. In some previous reviews there were complain s about ventilation system. Maybe FitXpress have had this addressed already, because I have no problem with the air quality, and trust me, normally I am the first to notice this kind of things. Now, about personal trainers at Fitxpress. I never use PT but being into fitness for over 10 years I can see good from bad ones. I like PT's at this particular location, and hourly rates are about normal for a quality coaching. Overall I give FitXpress 5 out of 5, and I am glad to have them here in our neighbourhood.

I went to FitXpress for a year and a bit well I lived in New Westminster on a one year contract paid all my dues an cancelled when I moved further away. A year later I noticed fee's were being removed from my account still from FitXpress I called talk to a worker over the phone was told sometimes the cancellation forms get misplaced and funds are still withdrawn I told her that I did not want the membership anymore as I had moved and that it had been over a year since I had cancelled and was told it wouldnt come out anymore. Next month comes and again the membership fee comes out This time I talk to the operator of the facility. A lady forget her at this time and am told I havent signed a document stating I no longer want to go to the gym my contract is well up at this point I signed one years ago and yet I must come in and sign so I come in sign and tell her I am signing but last month was the last month I am paying for this I have already let you know I have signed previously stating I do not want this service and she tells me I have to pay another month THE OPERATOR OF THIS Facility so I call my bank cancell the withdrawls and am done with it just found out now that this is in collections now and they are asking for 200 dollars my monthly was 24.99 Heads up go to a more respectable facility the rating doesn't lie

This gym is sketchy at best. I just called in to sign up, their website says "No contract, no excuses" "24hr access for $9.99 a month." The guy who answers tells me he doesn't check the website often and opens it up to confirm what the website says. He goes on to say that even though the website says no contract, the no contract price is $14.99 bi weekly. Not $9.99 a month. There's also a $20 enrollment fee on top, which the website says so that seems fair. When I ask why the site says $9.99 no contract he says this: "It's clearly there to catch your eye and get you to call us!" Flat out admitting that the pricing is wrong. If they're this open about their dishonesty just imagine how bad it'll be once you sign a contract. Places like this are why gyms have such a bad reputation for sketchy billing practices and hidden fees.

Been using this gym since 2013 when it was FIT-XPRESS I cancelled my membership twice and got no problem the only reason I did cancel it is because it’s too far from my house and tried other gym but I keep coming back to this place. People are helpful even the other members are very friendly totally recommend this gym

Im genuinely so angry. Last summer, so a little over a year ago, I cancelled my subscription with them because I was going to be working in rural parts of South East Asia. The woman at their Vancouver location said everything was fine and that she would deal with it and had me leave, so I assumed everything was fine. I JUST received an email saying I owed them something like $250 and I was being sent to collections because my credit card was declining them which I found bizarre because I hadn't used my card in the period I have been out of country. Lo and behold, these guys had been charging me this entire time. The gym itself is okay, but their conduct and professionalism is abhorrent. Find a different gym who won't steal your money. DO NOT give them any of your financial information.

Oddly enough it's the younger staff that are nice and welcoming, when the older lady just kind of ignores everyone. Doesn't say Hello, or Goodbye. I've been a member for about 4 years now. For the $20/month (provided you sign up for a year) it's pretty good. Since it's come under new ownership, the air conditioning has been turned down during the summer compared to before. So it's not the best place to escape the heat anymore, making workouts a little less enjoyable during the hotter days. One thing I would like to see is missing or broken equipment replaced a little faster. Some stuff just never seems to get fixed. Overall it's pretty good for the cost if you live close by. 24 hour access is good if you're into late night workouts.

I have had a membership with this gym for the better part of a year but I have not been able to go lately due to a change in my work schedule. When I tried to go this morning they had changed the door to fob entry only - with no notice of when office staff would be in. I suppose sending out an email is beyond their capabilities. I work for a living, I wonder when I will be able to get in during "office hours" to get a fob. All this really is is using technology as an excuse to not pay someone a salary (and so add to the community). It also puts patrons' safety at risk.

Friendly staff but the gym is relatively small with limited equipment. Much of the equipment is aged, and some is in disrepair. That said, it's not difficult to manufacture a decent workout. The price is reasonable with monthly fees (including the annual fee) averaging around $40.00.

There was a member there who kept imposing on me. Bothering me. A real creep. I complained and was told that other people had complained about him. The guy at the desk told me that creepy even asked him to fight. He was bothering women in the club. I was told that he was kicked out and his name put in the expunged book. Then I come in one day and he's back there working out again! Anyway, I moved to Nanaimo and I cancelled my visa card so that they couldn't just grab my money like they do with everybody. I mean to say, I gave a months written notice. It is a fairly crappy gym altogether but you get what you pay for. You can get the cheap rate by locking yourself in for a year. Sending accounts to collection -- shame on them!

My first gym experience, but I go 5 days a week and it's great. No meatheads banging weights and grunting obnoxiously; just regular people trying to get or stay in shape. They don't seem to mind a heavily tattooed freak like me. Lots of well-maintained machines and friendly staff.

Anyway, please initiate the cancellation proceedings. Thank you so much for everything. It was nice coming to ez fit. I wanted to get back to my work out and get back in shape ASAP. But, It looks like EZ fit stays on top of government directives. Never mind. I am thinking about cancelling my membership by paying the early cancellation fee and start doing workout on my own. They still needs us not to come to the gym for 14 days when the Fraser health directive is to self isolate for 10 days when exposed to covid and now that the person is healthy and back to normal. Still, it’s been 12 days already and they still need 14 days. This is what I don’t like about. Feeling confused with whom should we follow?’ The government or the others!!!??? Now that I am being demotivated and disheartened, I don’t know when would I go back to this place!!!

Avoid this Gym at all costs, run down equipment, no management. When you want to cancel they continue to take money out of your account with no permission. AVOID. There are many other gyms around New West for you to try out that are much more professional.

By far the worst gym I have ever been too. I started working out there five years and it was great everything was clean, if equipment broke it was repaired in a couple of days and they had an amazing gm named Amy. After Amy left the place fell apart. Revolving door of staff and management. The shower taps have been mis labelled for years (finally fixed a few months ago). Before fixing them they just had a sign saying hit was cold and cold was hot. They only have a cleaner that comes in once a week to deep clean the locker rooms (as told by staff). Parts of there fkoor are held together by electricians tape. Weights are never put away at the end of the night. Half of the screens on the treadmills don't work. I had written a few complaint letters written about the condition of there establishment and I have one email back which I asked to go over with the gm but it never happened as ( a big Surprise here) he had already quit after 2 weeks. My last day there they asked to take my photo because the owner wanted to see who I was, I told her to get bent. I left the gym in June and I still got charged today in October. How does this happen? They told me it would take a few days to return MY that THEY wrongfully took out. Why do you still have my info on account? Spend the extra five bucks walk walk down to new Westminster station train at dynamic fitness which is a far superior gym and 10 times the size of that dump

AVOID THIS PLACE! I wish i could give zero stars!! I had a membership for many years and never used it. The gym is small, dirty and not inviting at all. I cancelled my membership and was told my last payment would be the next month (June) and that would be it. Then I get a call saying that they will be taking payments in July too. One payment for the annual yearly fee and then my monthly fee. This was not acceptable to me as I have been told all i need is 30 days to cancel and I have given way more than enough time. Called and spoke to one of the rudest ladies I have ever had to deal with. There was no resolution and no wanting to "keep" my business either. This place is desperate and obviously needs to keep taking money from people in order to stay in business.

LOL this place was a haven for drug dealer wannabes even the gang task force kept tabs on it back in the day. But im sure it cleaned up its act and stopped hiring gangster wanabe juice apes. Im sure they finally realized its bad business. But yeahback in the day i mean a couple years ago, nothing but scum bags working there. From the drug dealing management to the escort whatever thingy at the front desk. HOWEVER, im confident its changed up its act. Inquire about a monthly payment plan. Theres a reason they ask for only 10 bucks a month. Use your head with the expensive rent prices in this province what business can survive from taking only 10$ a month from its clients? Theres obviously a catch. Dont blame the business blame the game.

This gym needs a serious face lift. The treadmills are always out of order whether it is the TV's reception or the buttons not working. The change rooms, washroom and shower are always filthy. The staff wonder around and don't greet the members and the customer service is lacking. I don't know where the funds go to each month, but it sure does not go to maintaining the facility. I wouldn't recommend this gym to my worst enemy.

Don't trust this gym with financial information. They will say one thing and charge you later hiding behind a "we have no control over our system when it charges" clause. Take your business elsewhere, there are many gyms in the area that are honest and fair.

The woman that runs this gym is a cheat!! Please beware!!! I was on a month to month plan, no contract, they refused to let me cancel. I was told that I would be contacted before any billing or subscription would resume. I hear nothing from them until 6 months later when I have a nasty email saying that they're sending me to collections!!! This gym billed my credit card with charges I didn't consent to!! AND for services I never used. Watch your wallet at this place!!!

I just have to say, as a potential customer after reading the reviews, the contract policy and payment seems to be scary enough not to join the gym. Isn't there a way to be more understandable to your customers if they want to opt out? Even one comment that says you will reinstate the contract after the person left the gym? It sounds like the contract is a bible...

Not a great gym during covid, many people walking around and working out without masks and no protocols being followed. Pretty small gym as well and some dated equipment. Might be the best budget option in New West but didn't feel comfortable working out here.

Very affordable and close to the 95 bus line. The owner is rarely there, so expect complaints to go unresolved. If you're an experienced gym-goer and you're looking for a place to get in and get out without breaking the bank, then this is the gym for you.

This gym is old and worn down. The pipes in the ceiling are coming apart and held together by duct tape. The 35 lb weights are a different style from all the rest and are falling apart. The assisted chin up is only half functional because the top set of bars lost its plastic covering. I'd recommend any other gym if you can. It also doesn't make sense why they haven't repaired or replaced the equipment when they take an additional $20 annually for "repairs and replacements"

This place is an abhorrent joke. I had a contract with them for a year, and I happened to move away - but as the contract stipulated it was only valid for a year, so I waited until it was up - understandably paying the fee monthly even though I was not around to use the gym. I then called to finally cancel the plan, well after the stipulated date - and they wanted me to be present at their facility to proceed with my cancellation. This would mean getting on a float plane, flying 250km to an airport, and then flying 1500km to Vancouver just to cancel. I explained my situation - that I was in a remote location - that I had no access to scanners, fax machines, photocopiers, or their gym location on Victoria. They proceeded to charge me stating that I had to be present in order to cancel my gym membership. These people are criminals and will try to suck every bleeding penny out of you before you quit. I was charged nearly triple the monthly fee after I told them to cancel my account - and I in fact AM STILL being charged to this day. AVOID AVOID AVOID. Go to Spartacus or something else. These people are going to screw you around so badly.

I tried out this gym for the first time today and my experience was amazing. The staff welcomed me at the door and helped me navigate the space to find what I was looking for. The gym is clean, not over crowded, and full of beautiful floor to ceiling mirrors. Perfect for the after selfie!

Never get a membership at this gym! The equipment is so old and it takes forever to get repaired. The owner is really rude. You can tell the owner wants the money to himself. The drop in fee is quite pricey for a small gym. I wish I could give 0 stars.

Been a member for some time and a decent gym but wish the ladies washroom looked and smelled fresher as there's always a bad stench of mold or rot. Also wish they would fix the other toilet which only leaves a single toilet for use. I also noticed that the treadmills' safety are questionable as they seem unstable and squeaky.

Okay gym, it's small but staff are friendly. I used to go here when it was Fit Express. Only thing I missed about fit express was the shakes that you could buy before after a workout. Rates are cheap and it's a plus it's 24/7.

I am a former member of Fitxpress. They have made numerous unauthorized charges to my credit card. They also failed to cancel my membership when I requested. They have submitted false claims/statements to collection companies which have negatively affected my credit rating. There are currently a number of former Fitxpress members that are in the process of taking legal action against this company for committing fraud. Every time i go to this facility, i get treated extremely well. If i have any questions on fitness, the employees always are friendly and have time to answer them. i feel the facility is clean and kept tidy. Super shady gangsters running this gym. They want you to sign a contract and give them your bank info to give you a half reasonable rate. if you want to go month to month its an astronomical amount considering how barren the facility is. the equipment is all second or third rate stuff, and the guys that work there are straight up salespeople - redirect your questions about anything financial. I stupidly signed up for a 3 month term and they wouldnt let me cancel so i stopped going and cancelled payment with my bank. They tried to send me emails and then a gangster called looking for money and tried to talk real tough. Needless to say I will be reporting them to the BBB, I know im not the first. Stay away, we tried to go there to shed some lbs due to the convenience factor but they are just the worst kind of people. you dont want to do business with them.

The equipment is old, malfunctioning, and some is broken. Workout areas are often commandeered by groups of "gym bros." The owner comes across as passive aggressive, almost like he's unhappy with being where he is. Maybe his apathy is also why the gym is run down, smelly, and in desperate need of renovation. I've seen people fob in and then hold the door for non-member friends to walk in. I've also seen strangers just wander in during the daytime when the door's open but nobody's at the desk. It's a cheap gym, which is decent, although they are very obviously all about shaking as much money from you instead of providing a decent gym experience. I definitely wouldn't recommend joining. 3.4 stars says it all, tbh.

Been coming for two weeks and I love it! Friendly staff who are helpful and encouraging, smaller space which I prefer but also enough equipment that I haven’t had to wait for anything. Great with Covid rules, wearing masks, sanitizing, and limiting number of people in the gym; I have had to wait outside once, for 2-3 minutes, which was peak time on a weekday at 5:30pm. Loving it! ????????‍♀️

This is such an incredible gym! A little small but if you go at the right times it’s the perfect little spot. I find it somewhat humorous that people complain about the service fees or cancellation policy. Most and all gyms I have ever been a member at have similar terms so clearly they have never signed up at a gym before or didn’t read their agreements before signing. Despite this gym being a tad small, it’s got all the equipment you need and the staff are so incredibly friendly and polite. I had an issue with my payment this month(completely my fault) and the front desk staff was extremely understanding. 1000% would recommend.

They make cancelling the membership a nightmare. They wanted me to come in in-person to do it, until I made up a story of how I moved to Calgary. Despite saying they cancelled it, I got charged an extra month. Just stay away for your own good.

This gym is very well maintained by the new owner. The staff are very kind and are very helpful. Sure it's smaller than most gyms, but it has everything you need to have a good workout. I like that it is 24 hours. I haven't had any troubles with this gym and neither have my friends that are members. I recommend this gym if you live close (or in north burnaby since they have a second location there) and/or are on a budget.

I have been going to this gym starting from 2014, even before the current owners took over the business and renamed it to "ez fit". But now, I discourage all my friends and acquaintances in New West community from going there. Dont waste your time. There are many other decent gyms located in NW. This guys have no idea what is the "customer service" or "client retention strategies". Their contract full of hidden fees and the only thing they care about is to charge you as much money as they can. If there is even 1 single overdue payment, or returned payment (which is happens if your credit card got scammed), don't expect that they will call you (just like other companies do) and customer service representive will politely ask you/remind you/find out - what is going on dear client, eh? NO. They will put extra amount of money on your bill and start threatening you with collectors right away)). This people acting like a racoon pelt sellers somewhere in the vilage market) Stay away from them.

The worst gym I've ever had the displeasure of using. Broken machines, terrible staff retention, low ceilings that make any overhead lifts dangerous, the list goes on. Management doesn't ever bother fixing or upgrading based on suggestions, but they do make darn sure to stick you with every fee possible and make the contract super hard to get out of. Avoid at all costs.

Wow this place is so dirty...omg. Everywhere you look there's dust bunnies and rust. All the vents have layers of grease/dust. I don't think they cleaned this gym for the past year. The water fountain drain has a layer of black slime on it. Looking at anywhere other then inside of your own eyelids makes you want to puke in here. $9.99 for member ship is a lie. Their basic lowest price membership starts at $360/yr. $9.99 is for 2 weeks plus maintenance fee, fob fee and etc. Such a scam. Just being inside that gym is a health hazard.

this company HAS A SCAM ISSUES, SO I suggest everybody don't go there anymore, be careful with their fraud charges in your credit cards after you already cancel the services, I have been charged 7 months after I cancel my contract with them, I talked to them so many times, however they did nothing but charge my credit card every month after the contract already done, this company is a SCAM COMPANY, so I think everybody should be aware their dirty issues before you want sign the contract with them!!

Today, I have horrible experience. I signed in the membership two weeks ago and I paid for the enrollment fee and card fee with my friend. However, we have to go back our country all of sudden so we went to cancel the membership. Today is 16th of Jan, the reception guy said we have to pay for the membership until 15 of Feb. even I don’t know one month notice before cancellation, but okay it is my fault cause I didn’t read the contract carefully. I mean I am willing to pay twice as my membership is bi-weekly. But he said to me that payment days are 18th of Jan, 1st of Feb and 15th of Feb. I totally don’t understand why I have to pay three times. I asked him and he answer that my last day will be 15th of Feb. He said if you cancel yesterday, your last day will be 14th of Feb so you don’t need to pay 15th of Feb. That means I have to pay one more time because of only one day. I don’t really want to waste my money. I asked him that please call your boss for me to pay twice only. He said I already did but the boss said No. Oh my goodness.. the owner is so strict.. but it is their rule. I can do nothing to reduce amount of payment. I paid one and half month fee. Plus, before I leave I asked him that I can get the card. He said No again. It is soooooo ridiculous because the card fee is non refundable. He asked his boss again and the answer is No again. Ans most importantly, he took my card right away. That means I cannot use their gym as of today even though I paid the fee which can use the gym until end of Feb. I am leaving after a week but this system is so awkward. I don’t understand their system. I have a plan to come back here soon but I never get the membership again.

I joined this gym after having been a member of almost every gym in New Westminster and Burnaby. This gym by far has the friendliest staff. There are bodies of all shapes and sizes. Diversity is important to me and this place has that. The equipment is clean and always in working order. It's not crazy busy but does have its peak times. I'm a morning person, it's not busy at 630 ! Not many droids, they are across the street :)

The gym gets very hot during the summer. There is no A/C or if it exists it is very weak. There aren't much fans anywhere else. Be careful of signing up for contracts as they bill you after it ends. They do not inform you need to give them 30 days notice for cancellation which doesn't make sense since you are signing for termed length contract for access to the gym.

BUYER BEWARE - DO NOT JOIN THIS GYM! As if the constant turnover of teen and 20-something year old inexperienced staff and management isn't bad enough, the gym is WAY too small, body odour smells permeate the air and the gym is filthy. Management has a very authoritative style, almost to the extent of bullying and lacks the necessary customer service skills to run a professional establishment. In my 25 years of working out in and around the area, I have NEVER experienced such low class behaviour on the part of management. The layout of the gym is terrible at best, with little room to do your workouts, even during the less peak hours. Management does not take member feedback into account, despite professing they do. Take my advice. Been here, done it, taking my business elsewhere and would advise others to do the same. Oh, and lest I forget, the current manager needs a serious attitude adjustment or she will continue on her path of alienating her customers such as myself to go elsewhere!!!!

I love coming here as it's a 24 hour gym, close to home, and most importantly it's cheap! It only costs $20 a month plus the yearly membership fee (which is also really small). They have other plans as well, the one I'm on is the two year contract. Also, this is in fact open 24 hours even through the pandemic.
