If you are looking for personalized instruction/attention from a 9th dan master who not only holds multiple world championship titles and is the technical director of SKI Canada, but who also has personally interacted with literal legends of the Karate world such as the founder of SKIF, H. Kanazawa and the father of modern Karate, G. Funakoshi, this is the place for you. There's a good reason Sensei Dozono's school has been in operation for more than 50 years! Being originally from Japan, Sensei Dozono has a deep respect of tradition, but also a unique ability to be flexible in his training program/progression and dojo etiquette as a result of his over 50 years of teaching experience, and class sizes are small, all of which makes this a Dojo unlike any other I've ever trained in. I couldn't recommend this place more, if you are looking for a place to better yourself as a human being, not just learn to "bash skulls", which is NOT what this place is about. I wish that I didn't have to move away this summer because of my work, this dojo is higher quality than what you can find even in Toronto/Ottawa/Montreal and i will definitely miss it. Give it a try, I'm convinved you'll soon, just like me, call this place home. Oss!
