I have been a member for a few weeks now and just so impressed with this place...the staff are all friendly, helpful and patient. The facility itself is always clean and the selection of machines is incredible. The members have so far been respectful of other's space and great to see everyone wiping down machines and unloading bars etc when they are done with equipment. The staff in the kids room are fantastic...I will definitely be a proud and happy member for many years to come!

Absolutely amazing gym! All brand new equipment, with things I had never seen before to help isolate muscles. Fresh smoothies and proper real food meals, and coffees all available. Rock climbing wall and classes and a separate posing room. And the best part is everyone going just brings a vibe that makes you want to be there and push harder!

So many great things about this gym: open 24 hours, incredible variety of equipment, they don’t lock you into an annual contract, and there are no hidden “maintenance” fees. The atmosphere is unlike any other gym I’ve been to. Best gym in Barrie bar none.

This gym is amazing all around, I've been to a few of the other gyms in Barrie and this one is is the best by far. Friendly staff, the changeroom and gym floor are both really nice and the atmosphere of this place is refreshing. Highly recommended

Great facility, all new equipment. Some equipment you won’t find in most gyms. Friendly stuff. Only issue is that some of the equipment is too close to each other like it makes it difficult sometimes to load unload the bar in the squat rack without getting in the way of person squatting in the other one. I know it was the only way to fit that much equipment. And maybe a good idea to have a separate place for barbell hip thrusts so people don’t take over deadlift platforms for that.

On site pre and post workout smoothie bar, as well as healthy fresh packaged meals, tanning, and several professional services from personal training to in house physiotherapy, as well as child minding. Athletic Kulture is exactly what the people of barrie have been waiting for. It has everything you could ever think of and more. All of the staff are super friendly and helpful, especially when it comes to figuring out some of the machines. The gym itself is huge providing tons of room for social distancing, along side that you can tell the sanitation measures are heightened to ensure members feel safe with the current pandemic.

Went in to try out the gym since they offer the free 3 day pass, but was denied entry and asked to pay for the $20 day pass. The 3 day pass is available for purchase on their website and displayed on their Instagram. The worker upfront was very rude. I am willing to pay the $20 for the day pass but there shouldn't be an option for a FREE 3 day pass online. Remove these options and advertisements if the option is no longer available.

Great gym (and I mean gym, not fitness club), awesome equipment, perfect hours. Staff is friendly and professional. The other members I have talked to are great. I have no problem using the weights or equipment I want to use at 4 am or 7 pm. You guys outdid yourselves creating this gym. Ryan is quick to respond to my emails. I switched from GoodLife to here and could not be happier. Bit of a younger crowd then us 40 yrs+ but has not been an issue.

Great Facility. That is where it ends. The staff do not communicate any information to you as a customer. They decided to unfreeze our accounts and not tell us about it. Claimed "we were open" while everything was shutdown during this pandemic. The general manger was not helpful, I believe his name is Todd, just a waste of time. Todd claims they have product that kills off the COVID with no studies or evidence that it fully works.

Best place to workout in town. No other gym has comparable quality and variety of equipment. Plus everyone is nice! The COVID-19 protocols are also better than LA Fitness (the gym I switched from). Every aspect of this gym is professionally run with a keen eye on quality all around. Wouldn't go anywhere else!

Fantastic experience ! From the owners being present and available to assist and greet patrons while maintaining social distance protocols right down to the cleaners. This is a place for everyone to become better and achieve there goals whatever they may be with the support of a community. This is such a fresh breath of air in the fitness community and for the city of Barrie. To be able to train at such a facility while supporting local small business owners is a win win situation.

This gym is by and far the best gym I've ever been too in my 7 years of lifting on and off. The gym floor is immaculate, with entirely brand new machines that are easy to understand and work. The layout is obvious upon first inspection with legs machines in one area, chest/shoulders in another, back and arms in another etc. There is a large free weight section that goes up to 200lb dumbbells, something hard to find anywhere else around. I personally was impressed with the deadlift platforms, and full and half racks lining one whole side. There is something for everyone here, with a crossfit type cage set up on one end of the gym as well. Upstairs the cardio equipment is well organized and varied, with more specialized classrooms as well. There is even a posing room, to help with progress photos. Finally, their approach to Covid has been well done and I feel entirely safe at this location compared to the other gyms I've been in. If you're in the area there is no better place to workout, you have to check it out.

Over the past 20 years, I have been in close to 100 different gyms, as I travel for work. Athletic Kulture is hands down the best gym around. I know my stuff, and this place is packed with specific/rare/unique machines that are all powder coated with a black and green colour scheme that looks gorgeous; so gorgeous that just the whole theme of the gym just amps you right up. NO pre-workout supplements needed in here! The gym has a premium quality sound system to bang the best of tunes, often requested by members through social media. Athletic kulture is a perfect name for such a welcoming place with the goal in mind to maintain a good sense of community/athletic culture!! Very friendly and knowledgable staff, good location, and great equiptment. I saw a comment in the reviews about how mask wearing is not enforced. This couldn’t be further from the truth and I just want the public to know that this gym is fully communicating mask/covid rules. You will always get that person who see’s someone not abiding by the rules, and is quick to throw a negative review on google. Mark my words, this gym is incredible and once you join and feel the energy in this place, there is no turning back. You will be hooked on this culture/lifestyle and will be well on your way to achieving all of your fitness goals. Hats off to the creators Joe and Ryan. You guys worked hard to get this gym open and it shows. All of Barrie is enjoying the fruits of your labour and we appreciate it from the bottom of our hearts. Great job guys.

First week starting back at the gym after 5 years, and I must say this gym is amazing! I was very nervous and intemidated when I first walked in as I am not in the best of shape. But with the support of the amazing owner Ryan, his colleague Todd and my new personal trainer Maria I am now a member of an amazing gym and couldn't be happier. Very clean, top of the line equipment, amazing shakes and food and all around great atmosphere. Highly recommend this facility!

I cannot thank you enough for taking a stand for mental and physical health during COVID - I completely agree with you that Costco, Home Depot, Walmart and the malls are open and they close the gyms. The rate of suicides, domestic violence and depression are not taken into consideration when the government makes their decision to close gyms down. Solid equipment with great finishes. This gym has lots of potential. The reason I'm giving it 1 star has to do with the fact that every time I have been here the staff do not act like we are in a pandemic at all. Nobody is wearing masks, including the employees who should be setting an example. There are no signs to respect social distancing (stay 6 feet away), people are routinely in big groups talking and chatting (no masks). Members stand 1 foot away from you with no masks. The culture here seems to be to pretend there are no health concerns and the staff are fine to go along with it. They serve water and food with no masks and no hand washing, etc. I'd hate to hear someone died or got severely sick when it could be easily prevented. The gym is also very busy with the machines jammed together so the guy on the machine beside you might as well be sitting on your lap.

Im only giving 5 stars because I cant give 6. This fitness center is amazing. Lots of equipment. Great cardio section with a view from the loft. The staff is exceptional and I love having a coffee and nutrition bar on location. The atmosphere pumps you up from the moment you walk in.

The BEST gym. There is so many positive things I can say about this gym... the equipment, the staff, the music and the vibes are the reasons I keep coming back. This is the best gym around. I've been to many gyms, including some in Toronto. I've contemplated all the gyms in Barrie and I am extremely happy with my decision to sign up for this gym and wish I signed up earlier! Additionally, the communication during the lockdowns has been excellent. I've received text message and email updates! All covid protocols are enforced and I feel safe during my workouts. I was very happy with this gym up until their last opening on June 15. I had froze my membership on the last lockdown and was speaking with some friends recently, found it kind odd a few of them who never froze their membership knew they reopened, some of them had just signed up and knew they were open, but there were a few of us who had froze our memberships and had heard nothing about them opening. I emailed the GM to get clarification on this and figure out whether I could come to the gym and got multiple nasty emails from him. Im absolutely stunned at the way he spoke to me as a customer. It was all concluded with him saying he doesn't care about 1 customer's concerns as they have 2200 other customers that are happy, and my membership being cancelled. Sad to see as I would have kept supporting this gym as I am local.

Been going to this gym for 6 months. I have seen them give people day passes. But today when I went in they wouldn’t give me one for my friend. But just a few days ago I saw them give one to some one. They wanted $20 for one day. Also they don’t honor the 3 day FREE pass on the website. Showed it to the worker and she said no. Decent gym but they should honor what they post on social media and the website. Not saying they are racist but it’s looking that way.

Amazing gym, they spared no expense and it shows! Very clean and you get your own sanitizing spray bottle and cloth as soon as you enter the gym to wipe down equipment with. The amount of space the gym provides makes it easy to social distance, everyone I encountered was very respectful. They also have screens between each treadmill to separate members. Looking forward to more workouts at this incredible gym!

Best gym I have been to across the entire country. The staff is excellent. The atmosphere is unrivaled. I've never seen a gym with this much equipment. Especially leg machines and squat racks! I drive 20 mins to be there, and there's a Goodlife 1 minute from my house.

My son attended the facility as a part of his elite sports program. He enjoyed the atmosphere and we opted to continue his personal training. After several days of email correspondence we were all set to attend and sign the contract, only to arrive and be told that they were not able to honor their price. We were offered several other options at a far higher cost. Needless to say there was no apology for wasting our time, simply let us know that the head manager was in las Vegas as there was nothing they could do. Although the facility is beautiful the business is very poorly run and the treatment of their customers certainly leaves room for improvement. IF YOU HAVE ANOTHER OPTION ... GO THERE!
