This is my favorite gym in Edmonton. I have been to a number of different gyms in the city. Evolve, World Health (multiple locations), LA fitness, Golds, Goodlife and Gymmvmt.... Snap South has been the best experience out of all these gyms in the past decade. What I love: - Very helpful and knowledgeable staff, particularly Cliff and Mason. I really hope the owners know what they have in Cliff, probably the best manager I've ever interacted with in or outside of a fitness facility - Friendly staff all round - Very clean facilities - Great prices, particularly if you pay in full - Great variety of machines, racks, boxes, plyo boxes.. - Nautilus Glute Drive (????????) - Weekly riddles, goals/target and deals - Contests every once in a while (Love these!) - Decent supplement selection, free samples to make sure it doesn't taste like poison - Tanning booth with VERY reasonable prices - I can't speak to the PT's other than that they are very friendly because I have not used their services Areas for improvement (Extremely rare/minor annoyances) - Sometimes the soap dispensers run out on the weekends - Some of the automatic paper towel dispensers don't want to give you more than a single sheet. All in all this is probably the best gym I've ever been to since I started working out in 2004. The value is unparalleled. Yes it can be busy during peak times, but what successful gym isn't? I highly recommend Snap Fitness South.

I've been at SNAP Fitness Ellerslie for 10 years now, and have loved every single moment of it! Location is convenient. The staff are really nice and welcoming. The gym is always clean, and there is a high variety of equipment for members to use. This location has a strong community feel to it with its friendly members, which helps to alleviate initial anxiety when entering a gym for the first time. I strongly recommend checking out this gym, you will not regret it one bit.

Very nice gym! They use their space well. Instead of having a ton of each piece of equipment, they have a wide variety. Generally not very busy, and in a nice area of town where there is a large range in terms of client demographics.

I’ve been to other Snap Fitness across Canada and yes I’m biased far the best gym. He manager and staff are welcoming call you by your name when you enter. Place is clean, tidy and don’t smell like a gym. Most of the patrons are professional and courteous.

As a gym this Snap location was excellent. Always clean and the equipment is maintained. However, I cancelled my membership in 2013 in person at the gym and six years later they came after me through a debt collection company with absolutely no prior notice that there was an issue with my account. The collection company could provide me no documentation, however demanded that I produce a cancellation form that SNAP Fitness would have had me sign in order to close the account. I was able to show an email dated on the day I verbally closed my account confirming my request to close my account which was not sufficient. 1 star for horrible business practices and for what can be best described as shake down six years after the fact. I will never return or recommend this location to anyone.

Staff attendants working there have zero ettiquette... while you are working out the will literally stick a vacuum under you which is a huge safety concern.. looks like they are just trying to rush out from their shift. Not nice to the members. Cya snap you lost over poor staff.

I’ve been attending this facility for almost 6years and I personally know the current and previous owners. It’s always had a great atmosphere with very friendly members. Has a very homey and community feeling. Everyone is always working hard to keep the place clean. I really love the MyFit HIIT workout videos in the functional training room upstairs. Highly recommend this gym.

The ownership and team has not only been committed to helping me live a healthier lifestyle but helping me be happier with the person that I am everyday. This is my third stop at being a gym member and I can happily say that this will be my last stop. BE AWARE. SCAM. Went to this location to inquire about the 30 day free trial they offer. Was told by the lady working the front desk that this is separate from the actual store and is run by head office ( she even admitted it was dumb) She also mentioned its a pain to sign up as you have to wait for the paperwork to arrive in the mail. Was then offered a 30 day trial money back guarantee by singing up for a month to month membership, told I can cancel within 30 days and get all my money back (or so I thought) Seems legit right ?. They try very hard to get you to sign up for a 1 year membership (they get commission for doing this) even though u tell them repeatedly you are not interested and just want a trial. Paid the month to month fee, access card fee and sign up fee. about a week and a half in, I found out Goodlife doesn't charge the sign up fee ($50) and wasn't all impressed with SNAP (dirty, staff don't acknowledge you, lazy management etc...) Tried to get my money back from Snap, was even willing to pay a little for the week and half I used. NOPE NOT GOING TO HAPPEN. Apparently u need to sign up for, and pay for, a couple fitness classes and come 4 times a week before they can even consider a refund. So i'm out $100. The manager even said no one has ever gotten there money back within 30 days when asked for a refund (why would he admit that, and why do you even have that policy?) I'm convinced this is the lure to drag you in and get your money. So, basically their staff will lie through their face to you in person to try and make money and then hide behind management that don't have management capabilities. I hope the owner Corey reads this and is ashamed. Won't recommend. You've been warned.

Personal trainer / owner is honestly the best trainer I have ever had. He takes the time to explain everything and the science behind it. As soon as you walk through the doors, you can tell that the staff and owners take pride in the quality of service they provide! Highly highly recommend this fantastic facility :)

I have both worked and trained at this gym, and it is all around awesome. True 24/7 access, no-contract membership options, and a wide variety of equipment. The community is solid, the facility is extremely clean, membership pricing is competitive, and the staff are friendly and member-focused. Management has been known to bring in supplements and products that members request - even if it's something they don't carry or usually stock - just for the sake of member convenience and providing quality service. If you're looking for more of a boutique, down to earth and family-run feel, then this is the gym for you.

They just want to lock you into a contract and get as much money out of you as they can. Staff will swing all blame to you even if they missinform you on something and do nothing to help. Gym is small, expensive and they make you show proof of vaccine. Skip this place.

The only upside is it's 24/7. And this specific location is connected to 9 rounds where kick boxing is the style of work out. 9 rounds is open for a few hrs in specific time of days anyways. Other that, place is small better off with Fit for Less.

Yesterday I called 3 gyms (before the restriction announcement) to inquire about rates and membership options. I was looking for a one month membership and the other gyms were either priced over $140 for a single month, or weren't interested at all in a short term contract. When I called Snap Fitness, Cliff answered my call and listened to what I was looking for and helped me figure out how to do do it. I've never stopped by or worked out at this location but if Cliff is any indication of how they do things, I would recommend it to anyone. Good rates, best service. Well done Cliff, well done.

Scammers... basically as bad as a multi level marketing scheme. Once you are a member they try and get you to sell the membership to friends and family.. and when you finally do they dont honor the referral.. on top of that the lady at the counter has terrible etiquette and not polite at all. If you come in with others that have a membership she makes you scan and then shut the door on your group. Then makes them wait and do it again in. -30 temperature. Great way to treat a customer that you are pulling from their bank account 40$ every 2 weeks. Cancelling and moving on. Great job snap your receptionist lost you another client.

Down 20 lb in 3 weeks after a friend offered to help me get into shape for my wedding. Then today they cancelled my membership. Will be finding a better gym. One that encourages fitness not money in the pocket of the owners. I would not have gotten a gym membership had said friend not encouraged me. But they are just after crazy trainer fees. How dare someone have a friend to help.
