Butch is great. He has the knowledge as well as the people skills to really give the customer a great over all experience. He answers questions and doesnt try to sell you anything you dont ask about. I dont spend alot of money on supplements but I make the trip into St. Albert whenever I do!

I was in there one day as i saw a sign that another supplement store had opened! I went in expecting something that was over priced. Everything is very well priced and it is currently the only place where I can find sweet sweat products that isn't online! I also just wanted to say that I appreciated the tour of the store as it can be overwhelming sometimes to be in a supplement store with so many options. Now I know where everything is and where I need to go! See you again!

The owner is so helpful and kind; he always helps me find what I’m looking for; he offers samples of products I’m unsure of; and helps me carry my purchases to the car! Gym Rat is the ONLY supplement store to go to! The owner, Butch, is friendly, helpful, personal, and very knowledgable with his product. He goes above and beyond to ensure that your supplement and clothing needs are met. He is amazing at ordering in all of my favourite items and sets them aside for me. He does not try to oversell and prices are the best I've seen in town!!! The store is clean, has a great layout and is well stocked and faced - it always looks like a showroom! Butch offers a great lineup of apparel and gym accessories in addition to a wide variety of supplements. He knows the importance of a healthy complete diet and also brings in low fat salad dressings, low sodium seasonings, high protein panacakes/KD/oatmeal additive and so much more. He can also satisfy the sweet tooth with protein popcorn, ice cream, cookies, and cake pops!! You've got to see this store to believe it - it is just AWESOME! Thanks a ton for being a helpful, local, and friendly face Butch!

Butch at gym rat St. Albert doesn’t know enough to be running the store. A person who owns a supplement store should look and sound like he preaches what he sells but that’s just not the case. Save your money and go elsewhere

Well This may take some time. I have been a long time client of Jeff & Angela and loved shopping with them. Went they opened a store in St.Albert I was stocked!! (As it is much closer to my house). However I went in and was greeted by a man that seemed very unhealthy ( almost sponge bob shaped). That offered me help. He was very knowledged in what he was explaining, however the crazy sponge bob followed me around and offered me a tour of a store!! Seriously bro your store isn't fricken Hugo Boss... I can see what's in it... please stop breathing down my face and lurking around me. Also the free samples in store, Not to put down anyone that is liftin' but legit bro this chick probably had a bigger package than me with some silicone.. awkward. Anyway I legit will just stick with Jeff, or The new Southside location. This guy is not worth the hassle of this location. If you aren't willing to travel hit up popeyes.

Great supplement store. Went there yesterday and the girl was so helpful. Went again today and got more stuff and the guy was so helpful and did not make me feel out of place. I'm starting my weightloss journey and I am large but working on it and at other places u feel unwelcome. Both staff were very kind and welcoming. Thanks guys for the great experience.
