Here you will see all the information of real people who used the services and products of GoodLife Fitness Fort Saskatatchewan Southpointe Centre (Gym) around Alberta area (Canada).
As of day the business receives a score of 4.3 stars out of 5 and that rating is based on 102 reviews.
As you can read, its rating is quite good, and it's based on a large number of opinions, so we can be pretty sure that the valuation is very credible. If there are many people who bothered to value when they are happy with the service, it works.
You know that we don't usually stop to set evaluations when these are good and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or issue...
This Gym belongs to the category of Gym.
New clean facility. 24 hour access and friendly clientele.
Great staff. Easy access and parking.
I have been paying for a membership at this location since it opened. Used to be the best Good Life in the Edmonton area in my opinion and has slid to being the worst since the beginning of the pandemic. Fort Saskatchewan is a shift working community and Good Life once was the location that accommodated this part of the community the best. Since reopening amid the pandemic membership prices have risen higher than ever before yet services are now laughable to what they were Pre Covid-19. A "24hr" gym that closes at 5pm on weekends is not what we as members originally signed contracts for when we got our memberships. I have asked the management multiple times for a time line on extending hours as 5pm on weekends is when most shift workers are getting off work and have received zero response. Good Life offers the least service as the most expensive gym in the community. I would not recommend a membership here over both other facilities in town.
Very friendly staff ;) Great selection to equipment and weights very clean
The staff are very professional, helpful and kind. The facility is very clean, they go above and beyond in making sure it is sanitized and clean for all of us to continue going in. It's a very positive environment to come in and do your workout.
Good gym
Clean, not too busy, super friendly staff. Always a good experience.
Gym was nice and clean. I went during the day twice and it wasn't busy. Staff seemed nice
Location never busy
I love this gym. Even when the parking lot is packed, I never have to wait for a machine the staff are excellent
Staff Are Super Friendly! Great place for anyone to get a great workout or take some classes in yoga. Personal trainers are available here also and they surprisingly aren't that expensive with a membership. I was going to join Snap Fitness also but I took my 14 y/o brother and he wasn't old enough to go apparently. Went to Goodlife Fitness the same day and he was more than welcome to come with me and now they have a member for life. Goodlife is only $24.99 a month and Includes Everything like their tanning beds and saunas. These are all considered Extra Add Ons at Snap Fitness. So it is Definitely a No Brainer!
I'm really impressed with their equipment, hours and that I can go to any of the good life fitness facilities
When I moved here the first thing i looked for was GoodLife fitness So here it is Best place for workout The staff is friendly and helpful No complaints at all ????
I have had nothing but problems with this place. They set up the payment 3 times and still couldn't get it right. I cancelled because It wasn't worth the hassle and I couldn't even use the last 30 days I paid for. Do not go here!
Gym lay out is nice and all but out of all the goodlifes around the Edmonton area this is the only one that doesn’t provide a towel service for the members thinking they should really take the time and invest into it considering it would be come a inconvenience for member’s that come either first thing in the morning and would have a shower before work and get ready here but instead they have to either bring there own towels and have a wet towel in there gym bag sitting in there car all day or have to come in extra early then drive home to have there shower really think about your members and there outside life they have
My boyfriend and I signed up together and got a bit of a deal with a joint membership. I've never had a problem with accessing machines, weights, or lockers. I feel that it is very well set up. I've never really interacted with the staff, but I've always been welcomed when they're at the desk. Clean, well lit, lots of space.
Excellent staff and great equipment.
Great new fitness centre in Fort Saskatchewan. It's huge and amazing!
Nice clean gym!!, great atmosphere!!
Very open and lots of machines
My annual contract was up four months ago and they are still taking payments out of my account. I called them and told them to stop, then I emailed them and told them to stop. Goodlife is a bunch of thieves. Do NOT sign a contract with them. I'll be getting my lawyer after them soon if they proceed to illegally take money out of my account.
Great gym !
Always clean & friendly staff
I loved this gym. The people are friendly and they have basically all the equipment I needed, but I had to cancel my membership because I live far away and wasn't able to go often enough to make the cost worth it. I went in and cancelled my membership on the same day I was billed, they said the system would work out the cost for the day and I would get the refund for the remainder of the 2 weeks. They said it would take about a week to appear on my card again. After 2 weeks I called and the lady said the manager was gone for the day and would call me back after the weekend. It has been another week now and no call, no refund. I am very frustrated with this experience and will probably go to a different gym in the future when I am back to going to the city on a regular basis.
Usually pretty busy but everything is in great condition and it's very spacious. Overall a great place to workout
Love this gym. Best one if the fort. Friendly staff and has all the equipment I could ever need. For body builders I've been told they need bigger weights and most of the equipment is cabels not stacked weights. But for an everyday person trying to get in shape and look their best you can't go wrong!
I really enjoy going as the equipment is set up great and spaced out and the staff is friendly and knows me by name after only a month! I highly recommend giving it a try! Thank you GoodLife
Nice staff...new gym and very clean so far...but it needs more yoga classes
Great place. Love it
Very friendly staff, and are always cleaning. If you're looking to start your fitness journey or taking it to the next level, try training with Ashley Rokos you won't be disappointed.
Love working out here.
The best variety of equipment, cleanliness and quality I’ve seen in Edmonton
Gym is nice but the manager runs a side business out of his office that I don't agree with. This has been brought up with GL head office who have done nothing to stop it.
Love the layout, nice and bright. Very clean and updated equipment. 24hrs is also a bonus for people like me that travel through at random times but need to keep a training schedule
Nice place
One of my favorite good life locations, big space upstairs and down stairs, great modern equipment they even have a oblique machine, I can't wait until cpbid restrictions are lifted so I cam spend more time there!
I have been going to Fort Sask GoodLife for about a year and love going. This gym is very clean and follow all protocols put in place for COVID. The staff is very friendly, especially my trainer Ashley. She is very motivating and knowledgeable, couldn’t ask for a better trainer! If you are looking for a great gym join this one.
The gym is always quite clean. Don't have to wait for equipment often even when it is busy. I do hope they bring in some deadlift platforms in the future though. Also the spray bottle and paper towel for wiping down equipment is simply not effective, people don't use them. Switching to wet wipes could be a better solution.
Good gym
I have trained in GoodLife clubs all across Canada over the years and I have to say this seems to be the cleanest and best managed club I’ve been in so far. The manager is very personable and cheerful. She seems to really take pride in the club and is always trying to improve the experience for the members. The staff are always well put together, they all show professionalism and the equipment is always maintained and sanitized. All in all this is a fantastic club and I would recommend that people give it a try if you’re looking for a calm, clean professionally run club.
The hours at the fort sask location have become sort of a joke. The 24hr location closes at 5 on weekends in a town full of shift workers. Prices have increased for half the service. A timeline for when hours are going to improve has not been given. Basically you are paying the highest price for a mediocre gym experience.
Respecting the effort to keep the gym open and safe
Good Gym! GOOD PEOPLE!! NICE EQUIPMENT
Giving this location a one out of five because of the uncontrolled enforcement of clients/users of the equipment who don't wipe down the equipment they use. For an example I watched one person use about sixteen different stations/weights and not once did this person wipe any of his bodily filth off. This is just one example of the numerous people that use this place. Disease is a concern here and if you are concerned at all about this infectious world we live in, don't come here. Let me also add there are no rules posted here. Not one.
I was very excited to have a Goodlife open in Fort Saskatchewan! However, I have been extremely dissapointed with this location. The facility itself is lacking in equipment, has one functioning tanning bed and there are some staff who are poorly trained and not very friendly or professional. From now on, I will be commuting out of my way to the Sherwood Park or Edmonton locations.
I really enjoy coming to this gym. The staff are extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful. I always see someone cleaning. Plenty of modern equipment. The trainers are very knowledgeable, professional and dedicated to their clients. Great morale and atmopshere. Love this place!
Great staff all around and very clean establishment! Highly recommend this gym.
This gym is very clean with new equipment, and the staff are very friendly. I don't agree with some of the other reviewers about there constantly being broken equipment. The gym has always been in great condition every time I've been there. However the gym hours that changed during covid force all of the people who prefer to go to the gym later in at the same time. After 7 was always a slow time, and now it's packed. Also the gym doesn't open till 6am, so going before work isn't possible if you start work at 7am. (I'll change the review once the hours go back to normal) The other issue I have with the gym is that the showers don't turn on (during 24hr operation) until the staff arrive. I can't see taking a shower to be more dangerous than lifting free weights, so I'm not exactly sure what the issue is.
Keon at the Reception is great guy. Excellent example of Customer Service ????
Had problems with GoodLife but the manager or assistant manger is really going out of his way to figure out the problem!
Information that isnt found anywhere on the website is that you better go during what they deem as "regular hours" because you have to register to be allowed to work out there. Even though i have had a goodlife membership for 2.5 years in sherwood park and medicine hat and have used locations across the city i was denied entry. Its absolutely ridiculous that it is the only place i have been to that you need to be signed up for separately. Especially when that isnt anywhere that i could find on the website. I havent even been there and im already displeased with their service
Nice gym. Very clean, new equipment. Lots of squat racks ! Open 24 hours as well. There are massage chairs (free) and tanning (extra $) I got my membership for 9$ a week so if your planing to sign up negotiate with them
Good gym
New equipment so nothing's broken yet, they went a little extra for an entrance. Wish it had a woman's only section. Instead of a large and open waste of space upstairs
Extremely friendly and helpful staff
The club is very poorly run by very unprofessional immature staff. The website is not updated with current policies and the booking system never works. The equipment is always broken and the club layout is terrible. With so many other gym options available, this club is not worth the money unless you feel like working out at a facility similar to that of a high school gym.
This gym was a much needed addition to Fort Sask. I can't see myself ever joining another gym. I appreciate the professionalism and kindness of all the staff at this location. Especially since re opening after quarantine, everyone there has done an amazing job of keeping us all safe, while still accommodating workouts. It's been a rather pleasant experience, returning to the gym. Keep up the great work, guys!
Was just picking up someone.
Well laid out, very clean and spacious. Very friendly staff and the PT's seem to really enjoy their jobs. Overall a great experience so far and I have been going every day.
Great place to work out always clean never too busy and everyone is friendly
Favorite gym ever
It has a good vibe, nice layout and friendly staff. Even when it is busier you don't feel crowded and don't have line ups waiting for the equipment.
Prior to COVID this was the gym in town, but now the every hour shut downs, excessive cleaning, limited hours and only 43 people in a huge warehouse at a time is a complete joke. There are no health guidelines that support this nonsense and if it keeps up I will be going elsewhere.
So far not so good... Incredibly attentive and all over you until you agree to sign up, I even added on a personal trainer package. That was on January 29. I played phone tag with my assigned personal trainer for 2 weeks (during which she didn't return my call for over 7 days) then was told that my hours were not conducive to working with a personal trainers schedule. (weekdays anytime between 5am-8am or 3pm-5pm or anytime on weekends where the hours I preferred, I thought that was fairly reasonable). I called to request a new personal trainer that might have a better schedule and was told no problem, still nothing. I now have a gym membership and have yet to have anyone book the supposed "intro" session you are supposed to have and have yet for my personal trainer to be assigned. They do a hard sell for personal trainers but don't have enough to train you. Not many people I know who can afford a personal trainer don't work Monday - Friday so I don't know how that works out for them........
Great building an setup. People management skills not so much. Beware of fine print. Kept moving my traing schedules. I'm flexible however. They made me pay for a session I dint know I was scheduled for. Convinient for them but me. To bad. Never been back. Returned all their 'free stuff'.
