This Gym is included in the category of Gym.
Very rude staff, did not feel welcome at all.
Could be cleaner
Good gym overall, I switched over from World Health to try it out. The equipment is good for both upper and lower body, they have a wide variety of machines and lots of free weights and plenty of benches. My only gripe is the layout. The treadmills and cardio machines are stationed in such a fashion that people coming in the gym or leaving the gym are constantly walking in front of you, at first I thought no big deal but after awhile it get's really annoying. Especially when your covered in sweat and people just glare at you like your some comedy show for them. I don't want an audience when I'm putting in 100%. I spoke with other people and they say the same thing. Other than that it's not too bad.
Best gym ever
Have been going to this gym for a while now. Equipment is good, people are friendly, but the staff is horrible. I usually come in the evening anywhere from 5-10 and some of the staff just isn’t it. Usually they’re just playing on their phone not paying attention to members and socializing as they should do. Not picking on all of the staff but in specific its usually the tall Caucasian girl with brownish hair. Other than that the personal trainers need to be more respectful. This happened a couple of times: I was working out not disturbing anyone and Pierre just comes up to me and tells me to move to the public racks. There was still one available rack and he decided to tell me to move. I have mo problem because I was in the personal training area but at the same time he DIDN’T EVEN USE the equipment I was using. I pay $80 a month for bs customer service and i cant even use half of the gym. Step up your game guys. Looking for a new gym rn.
This would the place to keep fit.
Amazing trainers lots of machines and weights to choose from
Tons of equipment here. Very clean. Easy to park. 24-7 service. Too many people showing off, but if you are in your own business everything goes fine.
POOR MANAGEMENT! Would not recommend to go to!!! If you ever have problems, NOTHING will be done. The manager is lazy and when given information and criticism he does nothing with it!! Any problems with his staff he says he will follow up then NEVER does! He lets his employees be rude to members and other staff informs of members and still does nothing. Worst management I’ve ever seen! Stay away unless you want rude service and laziness!
The gym itself is very nice and well kept. The biggest issue is overcrowding. I went to workout legs 9pm one night and couldn't access any squat rack or leg machines.
Nice gym
Great gym! Very clean!
I had to cancel my goodlife fitness membership hope to see if I can rejoin next year want to give a big thanks to jessy and Ruba at clareview goodlife fitness
Staff are awesome and not very busy at the right times of the day.
Good customer service from Derek!!!!
It is way more clean and the staff are way more friendly the W.H
Gym itself is great, PTs are a joke, constantly cancelling on you, not showing up, not taking your fitness seriously. Can't get anything done, my account has been screwed up for 2 months and the only answer I get is "I'll leave a note for the manager". I have to argue with them every single time I come in and nothing ever gets resolved
Open 24 hours, huge parking space which is free. A bit pricey but you can avail discounts sometimes.
Great equipment, large area. Can work on customer service.
A great place for a great workout !!
Really nice open perfect size gym. Friendly staff clean organized equipments.
I’ve been a member here for about 5 months now (left Fit4Less for here) and overall I do like this gym. But there are improvements that could be made for sure, that would change my 3 stars into 4 or 5. The good: equipment is new and there is little down time on broken items which is great. Layout is generally good and there is something for everyone in terms of equipment and area (studio, hot yoga etc though ive never used the hot yoga personally). Staff working day and early evening shift seem to be on point and ready to help you when you need it (though I have seen some inappropriate things done by day staff all the same). Locker rooms are good - lots of amenities (sauna, showers with good water pressure, private change rooms in women’s area at least) and extra large lockers (I can fit my motorcycle helmet and boots, plus my bag, coat, etc ????). The location is great for me and I’ve never had trouble with the parking, there are a ton of spots. 24 hour access is nice and while they do have limited hours on actual holidays, they are good about posting those changes in advance. The not as good: change rooms need better ventilation or fans, the air is so stagnant with the sauna and shower humidity in the summer time it is absolutely brutal - I sweat more in the change room than on the gym floor (gym floor has good air circulation btw with plenty of fans, though I’ve noticed they are often shut off on weekend days and I’m not sure why?) Later evening/night staff need to sharpen their customer service skills instead of ignoring members and playing on their phones... I get that night is not as busy but those of us who do work out at night (i occasionally go after 9/10pm), pay the same fees as daytime members and expect the same level of service. The membership is quite diverse with people of many ages and fitness levels, though be prepared if you’re not 21 with a tight body to be surrounded by people who are 21 (or just younger) with tight bodies lol. I wish members were friendlier/more considerate to each other (wipe equipment, don’t hog machines for 60 minutes or leave your entire gym bag in the path where members walk through, etc) but GoodLife has no control over how members behave on a basic level so I don’t hold the gym accountable. The personal training areas are kind of annoying as even when they aren’t being used at all (no one around) I’ve been kicked out of that area which to me is silly - I’ll gladly move if I see a PT and their client entering the area but if it’s 8 pm on a Saturday or Sunday and no one is around... but I do get that Personal Training is one of their bread and butters for $$. Finally, the time between 4:30-8 pm is ridiculously overcrowded Monday through Thursday generally... not sure anything can be done about this as it seems like as long as there are members wanting memberships, they will keep selling. But it seriously cramps you at times if you’re like me and you’re #1 reason for going is to lift... I have started planning my workouts to where I don’t even go on Mondays and tuesdays and the other days I try to go later in the evening but it’s really not ideal. I must say, there is one young man with curly hair and a thinner build who often works weekends day times when not many other staff are around and he is consistently friendly and pleasant - night staff could take a pointer or two from this guy. Good gym overall, needs to work harder to earn members’ praise in my opinion.
Great location and Kimberly is just amazing :)
Great gym, very clean and staff is very friendly and helpful
Not really so good.
Good equipment
Good work out place
Nice ambiance , very good service !
Havent been
New gym with great equipment can't complain.
I have only been going to hot yoga and I'm really impressed. The staff is always friendly and the facility is clean and accommodating.
staff at world health are annoying af, making the switch to GoodLife
What a lovely good life! I would rate it as the second best to the one in Airdrie... clean and plenty of equipments. I wish we had more like these in Calgary.
Awesome
Clean and friendly
Wicked gym! Violets is wicked awesome. Great customer service!!!!
This is a great gym for Clareview. Staff is always friendly and positive. They're on top of cleaning and wiping down the equipment. The gym itself is always clean and bright. The Rec Centre nearby has a pool and running track, but it's work out area is dark and and uninspiring. GL is for sure my fav gym Northside (NE).
Wonderful atmosphere.
Pretty good gym. I've had a membership here for about 5 months. Its a good set up. No complaints as of yet. I don't anticipate that will change either. I love that there is access to the hot yoga room 24 hours a day, provided there's no a class going on.
The best club in the city, bar none. Membership rates are standard for a club these days but the staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful, and the club itself is perfect for all your needs besides boxing (although they do teach a mixed martial-arts type group class).
Awesome place
Pretty large gym and nice equipment
Awesome gym, never too busy and all the equipment is brand new! All the trainers and staff are very friendly including my trainer Cole... In just 3 months he's already gotten me into the best shape I've been in my life! I would highly recommend this gym to anyone!
I go early in the mornings less of a crowd
Brand new facility! hot yoga room and tanning beds are always a good thing and always kept extremely clean
Only 24 hours on SOME days. I arranged a babysitter to come at 8 pm last Saturday and this place was closed! Good luck trying to guess what the hours will be around Christmas.
Goodlife Fitness Clareview, Where do I start. The facility is absolutely incredible for what they offer there, and the staff is next to non! I've never felt more at home, then I do at this facility! :) Taking Personal Training at this facility has been GAME CHANING!!! As an intermediate lifter, and athletic individual, this has really opened my eyes to greater possibilities in my fitness journey! Kyle - The Fitness Manager, is incredible to work with in setting up session with all the trainers in the facility. He really listens to the needs you have, and goals you want to achieve. He will definitely set you on the right path, with the right trainer for you! For my trainer, Reno. I could not have asked for a better trainer in my life.. This trainer operates on so much passion for his job, fitness, health, and training his clients, you will be inspired to work harder then last time! His knowledge on movement and strength building is out of this world! One of the biggest achievements I obtained while training with him was squat strength and confidence in this exercise. Previously I was only able to squat 135lb.. With much pain in my lower back and knees. But Reno showed me many technical aspects about the lift, that allowed me to become more comfortable with the lift, and perform the exercise to another level. I can now squat 285lb!!! We have also been working on an older shoulder mobility injury, and I've become more confident in not injuring my shoulder during heavy lifting sessions! I still have a long way to go in my journey, but the facility and the person trainers there, are incredible! Hands down the best facility in the city!
Such a great place to work out! There is a lot of equipment to choose from so you're not waiting on other people, and there are massage chairs as an extra bonus :) Would recommend to everyone looking for a 24 hour gym.
Needs windows to let sunlight in. Lots of steroid guys here
This has to be the most disorganized club I've ever trained at. Consistently and regularly they change the timing rules. Dont bother calling in advance because they'll tell you the club is open, and when you get there they will say they're about to close. Just to add insult to injury - they threw out my shoes!
Fairly new gym, but suffers from a number of maintenance and staff issues. The majority of the water fountains are broken, the towel dispensers are frequently empty or missing the spray bottles for cleaning equipment, and while there seem to be ample employees, cleaning and maintaining the weights and hygiene aspects of the gym don't seem to be a priority. Reasonable cost, dont invest in the basic package, go for one of the all inclusive ones for just a few bucks extra that includes full access to all services (tanning and hot yoga) as well as towels.
beautiful club with really friendly staff! Really welcoming place for everyone!
Large facilities, lots of treadmills and free-weights. Great bike and group rooms, one of the best yoga studios in the city with great teachers. Change rooms are large and clean. Staff is friendly.
They always have everything that you're looking for and if they don't have it they will get it for you. The staff is knowledgeable and to the point but could use a splash of friendliness.
He is always so frindly and fast He dosuch a great job,,
Very knowledgeable staff and not pushy on sales. They are available for questions almost all the time. Clean and friendly environment.
One of the best locations in Edmonton ckean and well managed
Great gym, amazing staff! So glad to have gotten the incredible help from Ruba who seems very passionate about the gym. She graciously welcomed me in. Overall, love the environment!
Lots of space, lots of equipment. Starting to get crowded though
Clean and lots of squat racks
Not crazy about their sales tactics about their personal trainers. The lady I saw got really into my own personal finances and made me feel guilty about not commiting to $1300 a month on trainers. Beautiful facility but the pressure made me really uncomfortable.
Good for exercises
Pretty decent facility for today's day and age. Good classes and cleanliness. I've had a couple of bad experiences with staff however, such as losing my tanning time because I was 5 minutes late due to THEIR broken clock, so I dropped a star for that. I have only been attending a few month though, so I may change my rating up as time goes on.
This is a proper gym! Staff are friendly, gym goers are also very helpful! The most welcoming crowd I've had since joining gyms. Kudos to making this community amazing!
Love it here. My home away from home. Great staff, very friendly and personable. All the equipment and trainers you'll ever need for your fitness goals.
Great location and wide variety of well kept equipment
No hand sanitizer anywhere in the gym so welcome to flu season.. no paper towels in the washroom so you are forced to wash with soap then dry with a airblade that shoots ecoli , fecal matter, and other bacteria back all over your hands. No multi level stools or a tibialis machine so forget about work front calves. This owner needs to take a visit to the SouthPark gym for reference. Not happy at all about having to use this gym !
It's basically heaven on earth
Great .good work out,nice scenery
Great gym! I love the equipment and facilities it provides. The staff is great and helpful too!
I love the goodlife fitness clareview great location staff is always phenomenal they greet you with a smile treat you pretty amazing like family i just completed my first year of personal training with the most gal helene she has so much knowledge very talented at what she does if you are ever looking for some help for working out or nutrition ask helene she is also a very out going kind hearted positive gal loves giving me a challenge every workout!!
Staff and yoga instructors are very friendly
Spacious with a lot of equipment
All you want to keep yourself fitness
I come to this location pretty often as it's super close to my school. The staff is so friendly! I'm always greeted when I'm coming in and when I'm leaving, they always ask how my workout was. Their change rooms are the best! Huge facility with lots of machines and plenty of options for different workouts.
The best so far
Nice and big
Great place to workout.
Nice gym. Signing up is the easiest thing in the world and cancellation is world's hardest (just how they design the system and their policies).
Gym is usually really clean. good equipment, well maintained. Staff is very nice and helpful. Just gets super busy from 4:30-7 on weekdays
Would like to go
It's always packed so it's hard to get a workout but the staff are super nice.
Good times. Busy at peak hours
awesome place. Great open feeling gym, not all cramped together. Staff is very friendly. Good clean place to work out.
No wifi:(
This is one of my favorite place.I love to be here all the time and staff is so friendly too and the place is very tidy.
There is no steam room Must replace souna with steam room
I love it!
What can I say. state of the art equipment. Great atmosphere and great staff.
What a fantastic Jump program! Melanie is one of the best Jump-minders in the city.
Goodlife Clairview is a great gym, the staff are friendly and meets greets you with open arms, it’s clean and well managed. Throughout the pandemic the staff have taken all the necessary precautions so everyone stays safe. After some personal issues in my life I decided I needed a change so I looked into their personal training options, I got paired with Kyle. He is great at what he does, he listens to what you want to improve on and definitely has the knowledge and back ground to get you there! Having Kyle as trainer opened a whole new dimension of what I can do and has given me the strength and confidence I have now, he opened up a new meaning of working out and showing me there’s more to the gym then cardio machines.
It's been awesome since I started working out here, very clean facility...????????
Best Good Life in North Edmonton area. Could be improved via a deadlift platform in the public work out area.
Great place
Decent gym with a good selection of equipment
Good Location, wonderful staff, especially Ruba. She is so sweet and helpful. Just an over all positive atmosphere.
If I can give zero stars I would. I felt ripped off in the beginning as they were selling me their personal trainer package and just by setting up an appointment to see my potential personal trainer cost $50 bucks. I thought an actual guided workout would be included in that meeting but it was just her taking photos of my incorrect postures. But this place was close to where I live and wanted to go to gym closeby, so I said no to that personal trainer and they did give me a refund and still continued to go there anyway. I ended up doing my own workouts and for awhile I started to like going here except that even if they do have a lot of equipment, men just hog the equipment and very few women are able to use the weight lifting facilities. Finally, today happened. I've been requesting for towels for awhile now and they've been given to me until today. They said I needed to pay for an additional $5 dollars for a towel. I would've easily paid for this if they were just upfront about it from the get go. Sometimes it's not about the money but the the principle of it. If you're the type who goes to the gym to meet boys, then by all means come to this place. If you're one who really needs to workout, then this is the worst place you can be.
i am always amazed on what kinda reasons people base their opinions on Goodlife fitness on....some of them are really stupid and childish, overall, i have a Nationwide membership, premium and i NEVER had any problems in any of their facilities... Even down in the States i have access to all the affiliated Gym's locations. Basically, you go there to workout and sweat, and not to socialize or get your babysitting done. Thats what a babysitter is for.....Good job, Goodlife! I am a happy premium member.....!!!
This gym has everything!!! Beautiful locker room with a dry sauna to relax in after a workout or one of the numerous classes they offer! Hot yoga, spin class and sooo many more! They offer personal training as well!
Awsome gym
not bad
Great
Probably the best Goodlife in the city
very frustrated & disappointed with over all experience with this gym, specially with there manager name RUBA, very unprofessional, also very rude in behavior, she totally lied & misguided me when i sign up for the membership, i specifically told her that i will only go month by month for my billing, but she signed me up for a two years contract with out my acknowledgment!!!! now asking for $285 canceling fees & past 3 months bill of $300 and total of $585 !!! for the service i never used!!! pretty much asking for free money!! i have never used there facilities in last 3 months & got charged for it with out my knowledge!!!!! now RUBA is saying she is going to sent the bill to collection!!! so i called there head quarter & sort the whole situation, as i never had a valid contract singed !!!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS GYM GUYS!! specially when ur singing up ask for every littel detail that RUBA will not explain to u guys as well...
Good staff, well maintained equipment, locker rooms/showers could use more cleaning
It's a good gym, however it's almost like they wanted to get all the bodybuilders and fitness models in there to train. When you go in its like being on the set on the movie 300. Once you join tho they sell you training packs however it seems not all their trainers are up to giving you a great experience.
AWFUL EXPERIENCE in trying to cancel our memberships. DO NOT sign up here if you think at any point in the next TWO YEARS you might need to cancel your membership, as this has been the most awful, frustrating, month long, process we have tried to go through. And it's still not resolved. We first made an appointment with a manager to discuss our concerns. When we went in, we were told he was off and there would be no manager in for the next 3 days. We rescheduled. The manager we met with, Paul, listened to our concerns and said he would call us the following day once he had a chance to review with the general manager. He promised that if they were not able to order the heavier equipment that we now need as 100-lb Dumbbells are no longer heavy enough for some exercises, then we definitely wouldn't be charged the full $269 cancellation fee for cancelling in our first year. He never called. I went in 2 days later to follow up. I was told they can't get these weights in, but give him one more day and he'll call me tomorrow. Again, he never called. I went in after work around 6pm the following day. I was told that not only are they not ordering this equipment, but we would have to pay the full fee, which we were told would not happen as it is out of our control that they aren't ordering equipment. Alright, fair enough. We signed a contract and it is what it is. So, we find 2 people to take over our memberships, and coordinate 4 people's schedules to meet there on a Monday night. I call to make an appointment. The person who answers the phone- manager Paul. "Hi, do I need an appointment to do a membership transfer?" Manager Paul: "yes, when can you come in?" Meeting set for that night at 730 pm We arrive for our 730 meeting, only to be told that no meeting was scheduled and there is no longer anyone there who can do a membership transfer. The receptionist tells us she will see if someone can talk to the 4 of us. We sit and wait. THEN, we are told by a sales rep that no one is there who can help us, and she doesn't know how to do membership transfers, AND to her understanding they don't do transfers anymore (but the manager THAT MORNING, "scheduled" an appointment for a membership transfer). She tells us that they don't do a transfer, but rather are able to cancel our membership for a $40 transfer fee (but we were told they couldn't go under $269), and the 2 new members we brought in would also have to pay a $40 registration fee, and don't get our rate (we got a rate $3/biweekly less than normal as promotional rate). If these 2 new members are paying the normal rate, this isn't a transfer. This is us finding them 2 new members, and having been lied to AGAIN. So, signing up is easy, but be warned that if you need to cancel your membership for any reason, they will basically cancel appointments on you, make you jump through all kinds of hoops and make you all kinds of promises, but in the end, they're still not going to hold up their end of the deal.
If you need exercise this place is for you. Myself i was just born this sexy so no need.lol
I had a bad experience when decided to cancel the jump membership for my kids. They left me waiting for 45 minutes saying 5 minutes. After cancellation they kept charging me, luckily I checked my statement and found that out. After having long waiting times and numerous phone calls I managed to talk to the mamager who promised it will be taken care of however they returned my money for 1 child only and I have to go through the same process again to get my second child's money back. Bottom line is terrible customer service and no accountability when comes to cancellations. Update: I was approached by Goodlife Social media team who then put me in contact with the local gym manager. However, I am not a member at this gym anymore.
Great place to be in!!
Life is always good
Busy during evening time!
Been going here for 2 years and cancelled my membership today. Men's showers and locker rooms were always dirty and gross. Cancelled my personal training session and they overcharged me, then made me feel like a liar when I challenged them on it. Time to find a new gym.
After completing my workout I asked the front desk if I could make an appointment for a massage. I was given the time of 11:45 AM that morning. When I returned they had no record of the appointment Instead of immediately informing me they had made a mistake they had me fill in all the standard forms and left me waiting 15 minutes. Nothing was offered but a weak apology. It's a terrible way to treat a longtime member. I would not recommend this location.
Can get pretty busy here during peak hours with anywhere from a small to long wait for equipment depending on your needs. Some days all the cages are taken up by people doing deadlifts from the floor or other exercises that don't need a cage (? but they are still doing those movements inside the cage for whatever reason ??). Lots of cardio equipment available, they are never all in use, thankfully. Facilities are generally pretty clean and all machines are in good working order. They have a hot yoga studio, as the usual stretching area, spin studio, PT area and fitness studio. Both the spin and regular studios have virtual fitness if you visit at off peak hours and they don't have one running. There is also a strip of turf here with sleds but it is often in use by personal trainers and their clients.
This location always goes above and beyond for their members! I have never had such good customer service as I have here. Would highly reccomend this location to anyone!
:) very awesome location, wonderful staff ♥️
Me and my girlfriend went here and Violet helped us out, she made my girlfriends first experience with good life an amazing one. She was very helpful and so polite. Would recommend if your looking to sign up to go see her she will definitely help you out!!
Hi, I love going for my workouts at GoodLife and my classes are Body Pump and RPM and they have helped me in my health and fitness and I am feeling better each day. Thank you.
Excellent Gym. Has everything I need.
Huge Gym, Never feels busy. Always come here for the amazing friendly staff. Ruba always has a huge smile on her face when I pop by and never fails to come see how I am doing with my goals. Truely is an asset to your team.
I come here allot. I like it
Not a good place when I tried to cancel they told me it’s $50 after a month they told me it’s $100 and when I cancel it they took $250 after one month they took $20 from my account and when I called they told me to call the manager or email him but no one is responding
Been going here for 2 years now, and I absolutely love it! The staff are super friendly, and they have a great variety of equipment and classes!
For my experience so far at good life as member great facility nice equipment clean, just choosing the right times to workout found out evening are not the greatest, also found out you can't work out around personal trainers in and around their areas, this complicates things especially if theres one or more personal trainers and the facility is packed,I didn't feel I accomplished my workout....I did mention it to staff .......
Good place
GoodLife Fitness Clareview it’s wide open loot of machine to be active come visit you will let me know in comments how great equipment flexible.
Staff is lazy. Not enough equipment when it’s busy. They kick you out of their “personal training” area when the place is packed and no one is in said area. Rude staff and over priced.
This would be a great place to get into shape.
Great place!
Clean, bright & spread out. Good location
I highly recommend the Clareview gym and the trainers, such as my trainer Reno. I am grateful to have Reno as my trainer. He has helped me with a whole laundry list of issues after becoming inactive with my work outs for the past 4-5 years, maybe a bit longer then that, before training with Reno about a year ago. He has helped me regain my strength, my muscles, and my confidence in my body. It seemed like I was literally falling apart like Humpty Dumpty. One of the most important things to me, Reno has helped me turn my wobbly body weight squats into squatting over 150lbs. He has also helped me with my over used tendon injury in my shoulder. I now have much greater mobility and range of motion compared to a year ago, where my movements were very stiff! I Had to see a chiropractor every 2-3 weeks, now I see the chiropractor about every 6-8 weeks. Also the added bonus of my body looking much better, compared to what it was a year ago. 10/10 I will never stop training again.
Clean +10 Community +10 Compared to other goodlife, this one in the north is tiny.
Lots of equipment. Convenient and accessible.
Great facility, lots of good equipment. Never any issues at all.
(Translated) Easy access and very functional equipment. (Original) Facile accès et équipements très fonctionnels.
Great gym, 24/7, closes or limited hours on holidays, attractive staff.
Interesting experience
Absolutely beautiful club! By far the best in Edmonton. Superrr clean, amazing equipment selection, very open and spacious environment, plus incredibly caring and friendly staff.
Lit.
Never been here but heard nothing bad about them.
Nice gym . Lots of room lots of equipment
Well equipped gym with 24/7 hours.
Staff is friendly, I just love being in the zone destroying myself.. best stress relief ever!
Great atmosphere. Lots of free weights, equipment and group exercises , during peak hours it can get busy but overall good experience.
Amazing staff and a wonderful gym
love the care you provide to us. thank you Emely for always help me. much respect
Great atmosphere, staff is fantastic!
Awesome gym!!
It is a great, clean gym, with showers and a sauna. With us welcoming and informative.
Very unprofessional and confused staff
Clean gym! friendly staff
Really love it here. Professional & very welcoming staff. I start going there at a very critical point in my life after long period of wasted effort to get in shape. I enrolled with the personal trainer Reno and it was the best decision in my life. The way he convey the instruction, the way he push's & encourage me every time is beyond professional. After few weeks my range of motion get way better. I added muscles and lost more fat than I lost on any previous attempts. Most important outcome from training with Reno in this great location is that I became permanently motivated and really confident that I reach my ultimate goal. Thanks Reno for being passionate & professional.
Inquired about a membership and I am shocked at how shady this place is. I wouldn't be surprised if they sell my personal information.
Great staff, clean friendly place.
Very poor customer service , during a global pandemic and financial crisis good life starts charging accounts again and only sends out an email. Then fast forward I realize they have been charging me 56$ every two weeks for 5 months (june) now after talking with staff who checked and confirmed the last time I checked in was March 10th they said there is nothing they can do at all and really seemed to care less. This is a very poor look on good life gyms I’m extremely discouraged and will personally never return to a good life facility and urge friends and family to consider canceling. I also can not find the email sent to me at any point of re starting my account, I feel taken advantage of and like my hands are tied.
Clean and friendly staff. Been coming here for years and it's still the best gym I've been part of.
I started going to Goodlife Fitness when I reached a crossroad in my life ... keep doing what I’d been doing and remain overweight, sedentary, and heading towards a life of chronic illness, or make a change and work towards a healthier lifestyle with energy to recapture some of the “fun” our of life. At the age of 48, and in the worst shape of my life, this was a daunting task. Now, I’ve never been a “gym” person ... I always found it such an intimidating place. Walking in, and talking to someone about a membership was difficult. But right from day one, the staff there were so welcoming and encouraging! And thus began my lifelong journey. I’ve been working with a personal trainer, now since September 2018. I never intended to go that route, but I’m so glad I decided to give it a try! With Soozie’s guidance, I’ve lost over 40 lbs, fit into clothes I haven’t been able to wear in years, but most importantly ... I have more energy and I feel stronger. I can once again touch my toes while breathing at the same time (lol). It’s hard work, but Soozie keeps me motivated every session. Whether it’s her quirky laugh, constructive feedback about proper technique, nutrition tips, or the absolute confidence that I “can do this” ... I am working harder at my own fitness than I ever have before. This relationship keeps me accountable and committed, and it is so very worth it!! For anyone considering the trainer route, I’d highly recommend it. There is no way I’d be able to accomplish as much on my own. This is a excellent facility with a wide array of equipment and classes, and it’s 24 hour accessibility really goes great with my shift work life. The massage chairs are a personal favorite! The staff are wonderful, friendly, and work really hard to make everyone feel welcome. Having someone recognize you, and call you by your name with a quick smile and hello goes a long way to putting you at ease, and making you feel like you belong! Coming to Goodlife Fitness Clareview was the BEST decision I’ve made ... I wonder what the next seven months will bring?? ????????♀️
I absolutely LOVE this gym ! I switched from fit4less. Staff is great and it is just a great atmosphere !
Its a good gym. Well lit, has excersize videos 24/7, lots of classes, massage chairs and a positive attitude. Gym memberships are about 25$ biweekly. They have tanning, towel service and hot yoga for an extra price.
Traded down from a good movie theater for another gym. Went here for a the three day trial, I had a snack when after a workout, checked my blood sugars and injected some insulin. And one of the patrons asked if I had steroids for sale.
I go to the gym early in the mornings and mainly only see the night crew staff - Mo and Nelly - when I am at the gym. Gotten to know both guys and they are both friendly and work hard to keep the gym clean and well organized. They always greet me when I arrive at the gym and provide towels. If there are any issues, they are always wiling to help. Same goes with the general manager, Anthony.
Can get pretty busy. No women’s section is available.
I go there specially the week end ,a good place to workout
From being greeted every morning, to the awesome childminding, to the organized and clean facility, I really can't say much other then "well done." Ruba's smiley face along with many others and thier beautiful auras is what kept me coming back. It's nice to see people care about thier jobs and enjoy it. I have really taken a liking to Bodypump along with Yoga. Once you let your gaurd down and really let the instructors help you, it's amazing to watch the transformation within oneself. But the one who truly gets me is who I call M - She is Motivating, She is Moving and a Master with her own strength. She certainly has a way with keeping one inspired. From one strong woman to another ???????? Awesome job Marianne????
Good gym. Equipment very good. However, some of staff abrupt and not so friendly. Came from UK to try out the gym, was told I would need to pay 14 dollars per day. Went online and got a 3 day free pass to try out the gym!!!
Lies. I wasn't even there
Thank u
Nice equipment and staff but bathrooms are gross!
Been coming here for some time now. Nelly really stands out as he is always cheerful and friendly to all who come.
The staff here are what makes this place such a pleasure to visit. Always friendly and willing to help wherever they can.
Been going here for almost two years now. Amazing transformation from the old movie theatre that was here before. Spacious, lots of equipment and the change room/showers are always clean.
Nice gym, super crowded though. Even weekday afternoons are difficult to find machines to work on.
Great
Awesome place
Very over crowded in the evenings. Far too many members. Long waits to access equipment. Always broken or damaged equipment that often takes a week or more to fix. Looking to switch gyms as soon as my membership expires.
If you looking to build yourself and want access 24/7 then this is right place for you.
The gym itself is amazing but their child care is awful. This was the first time I've ever brought my son to an actual day care facility and it was a huge disappointment. I went to go pick him up after my workout and when I walked in , there he was sitting in a chair pushed up to the table, crying and looking very uncomfortable while the employee was playing with the other kids who were perfectly content. I'm not saying she should have spent the whole time paying attention to him and no-one else but you don't leave an 18 month old to cry and neglect him in a spot where he couldn't even get out on his own. She should have told someone to come and get me instead of putting my child through that. I will never go to another goodlife fitness ever again . I am absolutely disgusted.
Have been at this Goodlife Fitness location since it started. I usually go into the gym during the early mornings. The night crew guys, Mo and Nelly, are friendly and great to talk to, keep the gym clean by putting back the weights to where they should be, and are very helpful. After they know you, they remember you use towels and provide them once you walk in without even asking. And currently the towels that are in circulation are the best towels I been to at any gym in the city. Anthony, the GM, is always helpful if I have any questions on equipment issues to need to be addressed.
love this place best gym in the city
Great gym
Not a place to go if you want there to be a smaller crowd ad it is quite busy.
I had a really bad experience with the sign up process, but no problems since. I love their body pump classes! The price is great if you are lucky enough to get in on a promotion.
Staff goes above and beyond to accommodate clients
Friendly environment, and awesome gym associates...????️????????
Love it just expensive
I bought PT sessions with Good Life last October and was lucky enough to get paired with Susie Matychuk. She really is an incredible trainer and motivator, who's always there for me, and goes far beyond all expectations! With her professional attitude, creepy over-knowledge of anatomy and comedic personality, Ms. Susie is a great asset to Good Life Fitness! *Just be sure to grab a towel from the front. She's got a tendency to spit when she talks* :)
Very great staff and atmosphere
Had to call the gym to get someone to come back to the front desk so that I may start my tan which I had booked hours before hand. This happened 4 times now.
Excellent
very clean, great staff
Friendly place with lots of decent equipment
Honestly worst service! Needed to cancel for medical reason - still a HUGE hassle. When I was able to go most (not all) staff were not helpful if you had questions

Goodlife Clareview has been the best gym I have ever been to, but that is probably because I have the best trainer! Reno has been my trainer for a year now and I have learned soo much from him. He thinks of everything because he truly cares about everyone he works with. Reno is incredibly passionate about what he does and that makes me excited to meet him every time for my sessions. This past year has been difficult for all of us, but training with Reno has kept me on track, positive, and healthy. Reno has helped me achieve my goal weight and I am soo happy with the muscle I've gained and the skills I have learned to be more confident in the gym. Thanks again Reno :)
Great staff! :)
I like this location, it's not too busy in the am but in the evening it is super busy. Staff are nice. Nice and clean.

Great place when you live close.
Good equipment not too many people
Staff are sooo friendly and helpful. Good location with lots of parking which is nice, and a good variety of equipment!
Would not set foot in there. All gloss but sleazy business practices. Just my opinion. I dont like being misled.
Classes are effective and cheap
Would get 5 stars if only they got WiFi. It's 2017 get with times people.
Ample room and decent atmosphere. Only problem being is machines that are out of order tend to stay out of order in excess of a month before fixing. Should have the means to fix if you own a gym.
Clean, new equipment, friendly atmosphere
I workout on a regular and never considered a gym because I have a private gym I go to for free and thought I consider it but after my experience I am not.. If a friend recommends you to go here don’t go they are to pushy and try to make you spend your bank, I went in trying to just take the 1 week trail that my friend recomended for me and end up getting signed up for 1 year commitment with a personal trainer when that’s not what I wanted, on top of this the lady who I spoke to told me that if I was not satisfied I can cancel at any time with no fees and get my money back “Garanteed”... I recently went to a good life near me and tried to cancel my membership and they told me that it will cost me $100 to cancel.. so now I just have my membership on hold.. I’ve called the place multiple times and each time they ask if they can call me back and I never get a call back it’s very unprofessional so don’t waste your time and money on this place
Staff are amazing, super friendly, love coming here...
It's o.k.
Love it! All the equipment you'll ever need to get in shape and friendly staff
Lifted some weights. Very clean and spacious
Best club in the city. Excellent customer service from Derek, Hudson, David (I think that’s his name?) and some of the lovely ladies that work night shifts. The staff really make this one shine as the go-to GoodLife in YEG. Cheers ????????
Great gym with great staff. Very flexible for my job.
I’ve been freezing my account for the past three months and just found out that I’m still getting charged on the last day of each month. Phoned to see if I could get a refund for the two months I’ve been charged for (haven’t entered the gym since June), and the man was very condescending and not understanding at all. Said it was my fault for not reading emails (that I never received) and that the payments I’ve made will go towards the month I start going ? I wanted to cancel my membership because of this and he said he still wouldn’t give me a refund for the months I was charged but had a frozen account. Wouldn’t recommend the troubles of going here. Took me a week to finally get a hold of someone too. Had unanswered emails trying to get this resolved and wasn’t even helped in the end. Has anyone else had this problem?
Other than a few, most of the staff is super lazy. On their phones.... I told a staff guy about 4 paper towel being empty to clean the q Equipment, his response "not my job". Unreal.....
I highly recommend Goodlife fitness Clareview and their personal trainers. Right from walking in the door you feel more welcome then at other gyms you always get a hello and a goodbye, I know this doesn't sound like much, but it makes a big difference. Shortly after starting at the gym I was talked into having a personal trainer and it was one of the best decisions I've made. It really helps keep me motivated and accountable. Right from day one my personal trainer Reno has inspired me to be a better me and worked with me to come up with a game plan to reach my goals. He has helped me roll out and stretch away pains I've had intermittently throughout previous years, and now I have the knowledge to fix them which has changed my life. Reno also helps me with meal planning and away work out plans for my hotels which are areas I've struggled with in the past. I know I still have a way to go but I'm starting to notice progress especially in my range of motion and strength. Reno has become not just my trainer but a friend. I have goals and I know with Reno as my trainer we will reach them. The gym has turned from a chore to something I look forward to. Can't wait to reach my next milestone. Thanks to everyone that works here to keep a friendly and clean environment.
This is a very nice, and clean good life! I was pleasantly surprised. I use this location now whenever I am in Edmonton. Only downfall is there isn't a women's section, but that's not a deal breaker for me
Free wifi
Ok
Loved it when I got started, they quickly noticed: Rules are NOT enforced by staff. Gym etiquette is a foreign concept here. Change room is always a mess, even after a cleaning, under the benches and corners are untouched. Lockers in desperate need of being wiped out. The equipment is NEVER cleaned by the staff, it’s all the up the people honoring the wipe down policy, which no one does, so not clean at all. (You can literally see the filth built up some machines) Staff is really good at giving the run around when you point out issues or complain. Very pushy with their personal training. The indoor shoe policy here (Clareview) is apparently just a suggestion. The gyms in Work-camps are typically cleaner then this facility.
Awesome customer experience!!
Clean, big, lots of options, friendly staff, 24 hrs a day (except holidays!) Everything you want in a gym. Yes, it's a bit crowded after work, but that's because it's good.
Gym is clean, and has an large variety of equipment. Staff are very friendly. You're welcome at the door as you come in, and wish you a good day as you leave. In my opinion all gym memberships are overpriced, hence the highest rating I would give a gym is 4 stars. Keep up the good work GoodLife
I started frequenting this particular GL about four months ago after moving to Edmonton from Halifax where I was a regular member of GoodLife there for over 4.5 years. Clairview GL is in a really convenient location with friendly staff. What has really impressed me in my short time at Clareview is the high-quality of this gym's personal trainers. They know their stuff! I am now benefitting from the wonderful tutelage of the incredible Canadian National Powerlifting Champion Helene Tremblay in fine tuning my form and learning the best technical aspects in using one's body and the equipment well for maximum efficiency, safety and increased strength and endurance. She is top-notch. Quite looking forward to the move of the personal training area to the former cycling room.
One particular trainer has always been unkind and rude. I actually dread going to this gym and seeing her there. I tend to go to the south end now. Find new staff and make this place resemble health and fitness.
Great hospitality clean weights putt away and organized all night 24 7
Awesome gym
Loving our gym. Great friendly staff. Shout out to Kimberly who seems to be always working and filling up things when they are empty.
Kim at the front desk made it super simple for.me to leave! Super cheap 36.59$ compared to 249.50$
Great staff, excellent equipment and overall great facility!!!
Go to the gym after school most days. Can be busy at times but still a great gym. Its kept really clean and they have an amazing and friendly staff that are happy to answer your questions. Overall great place to workout at.
Beautiful gym. Sauna and massage chairs for after workout relaxing and tons of machines
Come here with my boyfriend to workout and it's always wonderful! I love the message chairs and having the yoga studio to myself when their aren't any classes happening! :)
Clareview goodlife is our favourite gym! Violet[tta] at the front desk was amazing to deal with, she was able to answer all of our questions and just was an over all pleasure to talk to. We can’t wait to come back and see her again! Thank you!
Don't hate.I shop in the area.
Great gym to work out at
Nice, new gym. Good variety of equipment. Lots of room in free weight area. I love all the different classes, especially body pump.
Excellent gym
Working out at GoodLife has been great! Training with Noah has been awesome!! I started out with a general goal of just getting healthy after essentially not working out consistently for a few years. A few months into going to the gym, my fiance and I got pregnant, and I couldn't ask for better fitness support! Super knowledgable, always flexible, and really keyed in to what I'm capable of while still keeping me motivated to push harder. 8 months pregnant and still seeing fitness gains! Five stars.
I enjoyed my experience while I was a member at this location. Clean facilities and helpful staff. I had an issue with my account being charged after I attempted to cancel my membership. I got no where with the "membership" call line. They said flat out I would not get the money back. The local store manager (named Anthony) was my last hope. He provided excellent service and promptly processed the refund once confirming the details with head office. Thank you sir. When return to a gym, it will be this one. Cheers
Been going here for a little over a month now. All the ladies and gentlemen that work here are very nice. They greet everyone when they enter and when they leave. Weather your having bad day or a good day you always enter or leave with a smile. Thanks for doing such a great job you guys. Chris one of the PT's there also knows his stuff. You have to want to pass your threshold but if you do your job it makes theres easier. If your looking for a little nudge in the right direction make sure to even get a PT even for just a day. It does help. Thanks for being so greeting you guys. The gym it self has it's own gym jocks but they all do, it's up to you if you choose to ignore them or not. Your there for yourself not them. Dont let them influence your change in lifestyle.
Great atmosphere! Great place to workout!
Goodlife, awesome, Emily is excellent.
I live close to 3 Goodlife Fitness’ and Clareview is hands down the best facility. The gym is large and offer a variety of services from tanning, hot yoga, a number of classes, personal training, etc. All of the instructors for the classes have been fantastic, I particularly enjoy Terri from Body Combat as she is very kind and motivating. The facility is always clean and well-maintained. In addition, I have had the pleasure of doing personal training with the Fitness Manager, Kyle. I have been working with Kyle since October 2017. When I began I was unable to do so many movement, and Kyle began working with me to build up my abilities. He and the other personal trainers are very knowledgeable, accommodating and responsive. I have gained so much knowledge from Kyle and he has been instrumental in my fitness journey. Kyle works with me and my schedule to tailor the workouts to help me reach my fitness goals. Kyle is not only my trainer, but a friend who keeps me accountable in going to the gym and living a healthy lifestyle. As a gift, I gave my boyfriend a starter pack as an introduction to personal training which he completed with Bralen. My boyfriend enjoyed working out, learning techniques and proper form, and building confidence doing squats, deadlifts and bench press. When my boyfriend had an incident at the gym in which he fainted, the staff at Clareview were very knowledgeable, supportive and called EMS for assistance while keeping us (me) calm through it all. They even called him the following day to check up on him which says a lot about the standard of their service I can honestly say that I have never regretted making the decision to not only become a member of GoodLife, but to invest in myself and my health by hiring a personal trainer.
Facility is nice, but there is way too many people during peak hours. You will be forever waiting on equipment.
I’ve been at GoodLife Clareview for almost a year working with Helene. When I first started I was a mess I could barely move I was so stiff and tight. Helene worked on my legs with numerous physio techniques just to get me moving enough to exercise. In the last year I give Helene a lot of credit for getting me as far as I’ve come. She pushes me when I need it and she takes it easy if something is tight and not moving. I enjoy going to the gym it’s my release and I’m starting to have more confidence and feel better about myself
This is a great place to workout. Always clean and organized, I never have a long wait for machines and the staff are always helpful.
There's always stuff broken here (usually the fountains) and if you come during the day it's way too busy, you have to wait a long time to use each machine
Great location, my favorite part is the hot yoga room with its mural art . Customer service is ok .
I am so disappointed with goodlife fitness I haven't been there for a whole year because of this pandemic I cancel the membership on December and this still charging me $59 every month this is not right this is wrong this is gotta stop now immediately if this doesn't gonna stop I want to continue putting Google review all over matter everybody knows what's going on with good life fitness and fair and reasonable stop this now
Very good place IF you keep your account in good standing. The moment any error is made (bank, system, management, etc), you are screwed. You will spend months and months without account. Manager never wants to see you in person because it is always "extremely busy" , phone calls takes weeks to be made and still no one resolves your issues. You are better off loosing your money, cancelling and getting a membership somewhere else
I love working out a good life Noah is my trainer and he's amazing he is understanding and compassionate and he's always there for me when I need any makes time whenever I ask her text him so it's been a great experience and I love coming here everyone should try it once or keep coming.
I just finished my first workout at this location. It is open, well laid out and appears to be extremely well maintained. I was very impressed with the efforts the staff went thru to ensure a spotless and sanitary gym.
Worst worst gym ever , they scammed me and signed me into a contract which I didn’t even understand , poor staff experience and very ignorant company, I wouldn’t advice no body to go there . Horrible horrible place I have never been this disappointed in my life . BADlife fitness should be the name
The staff at Goodlife honestly amaze me everyday. Ruba fares has shown over and over that she is an amazing leader and she is such a light in everyone’s life. I saw her make a gift basket for one of the clients at Goodlife for their birthday. She goes out of her way everyday to make sure everyone around her has a great day. She is fantastic. I am honestly surprised she isn’t running the place by now.
Great place, stff is pleasant. Nice equipment. Although some equipment needs to be updated and cared for little more.
Great location, close to the Clearview transit centre and it has lots parking for members who drive to it. The staff is very approachable and knowledgeable. Facility is very clean and equipment is well-maintained. I’ve been to other GoodLife clubs in the city and consider this to be one of the best in Edmonton.
Clean and friendly staff. Been coming here for years and it's still the best gym I've been part of.
