You will be able to see all the reviews of real people like you who are consuming the products and services of Boulders Climbing (Gym) in the territory of Alberta (Canada).
Nowadays the firm has a score of 4.7 stars out of 5 and that rating was based on 127 reviews.
As you can see it reaches an opinions average is practically the best one, and it's founded on a large number of feddbacks, so we may think that the rating is quite faithful. If there are many people who bothered to value when they are satisfied, it works.
As you know, we don't usually stop to place tatings when these are positive and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This Gym is classified in the category of Rock climbing gym.
Nice place, lots of fun
Walls are in much better shape then rock jungle fitness
The problems at RJB are awesome. It is a big climbing gym with lots of variety from caves to routes you can top out. They also have a small fitness/weight area.
Highly recommended no matter what age or skill level you may be. From casual to advanced climbs they have you covered. The staff are amazing and already friendly they have great challenging climbs and student discounts on memberships as well! The community of climbers are super nice too so you can typically find someone who can give you some friendly advice every now and then as well. The only critique I have is occasionally the facility can get a tad hot as one would expect with people working out but all in all that's not a huge downside particularly with an onsite cafe available
I really enjoy it here. This is a bouldering specific gym close the MacEwan University, LRT and the downtown core. Employees are super cool, and the food at the attached cafe is delicious. The air can get very "dusty" (read, full of climbing chalk) and the walls are pretty high for a bouldering area so it really takes some guts to get to the top of some of the problems here. The routes change frequently and there is a wonderful warm up and cool down area. Also, dog friendly, heck yes.
Great place for date night
I’ve been to many climbing gyms across Canada and I have to say, this one is by far the best I’ve been to and my favourite! Not only because it’s pet friendly but it’s spacious, has a variety of sets for beginners to intermediate, has a huge workout area and the community here are A1. The sets are always changing so you’re never going to get bored coming here. Friendly and helpful staff. Cafe area in the front. Sells climbing equipment. Monthly pass gets you access to their other location, a free guest pass every month and more! ????????
Great climbing experience! Their routes are excellent and challenging! Laid back and fun atmosphere and easy to get tons of routes in. They also have a nice little cafe called dirt bag and a small workout area. The gym does get a bit dirty and surely must get a lot of traffic!
Great bouldering facility, their Thursday Charity Climb is particularly a good deal!
Definitely one of my fave workouts - the place is really well laid out and the routes gradually change each week. Excellent if you want to build your upper body strength in a way other than hitting the gym. So have a cool "karma cleaning" system where you can climb for free if you do 2 hrs cleaning for them!
Coming from Colorado where we have plenty of gyms outside routes to climb, this satisfied my climbing wants. But I felt like the problems were slightly higher then they were rated. Still, some of the most fun I've had at a gym. The staff were super friendly and the dirt bag cafe was super tasty. Makes a lot of sense to offer that kind of convenience. Will be coming back for sure.
Great vib
Awesome setup in a great location, friendly to all walks of life and very reasonable rates! 10/10 would climb again.
Killer place. Easy going staff. Great cafe.
Great place to boulder and have a beer - even better now with the new section
Since my first visit, I am absolutely hooked. The staff are knowledgeable, the route-setting is really great, and I've been trying to drag my boyfriend and as many of my coworkers as possible over to give bouldering a try. I never feel bored when I'm at this gym and always look forward to the next time I can come back.
Tonnes of fun here. Had a friend take me for a drop in and I loved it. I didn't think I would enjoy it, but there's honestly something for every skill level.
Amazing facility and community here. Easily accessible location and staff and other climbers are always very supportive and is all-in-all a great place to enjoy climbing. Rock Jungle also does free student climbing on Thursdays or discounted climbing with a food donation, which is much appreciated!
Spent a couple hours climbing here for the first time last week. In the past I have found climbing culture intimidating but the staff and atmosphere here were friendly and fun. There is quite a bit of space and many many routes for all skill levels, including complete beginners.
Cool top out boulder and expertly set problems. Fun community vibes. Just an all around jam.
Good place to train and nice staff
Friendly staff. Great climbs.
Stop by for a climb and treat yourself with baking from Eats made from scratch
Great bouldering gym with a cafe attached to it. Free parking available for gym users.
RJB has an attentive, knowledgeable staff, solid setting, and a great atmosphere. Don't forget to check out the Dirtbag Cafe for some food and drinks either to fuel up for your session or recover after. Giving 4 stars due to how incredibly hot the facility can get and the air quality when the gym is very busy. I do give the management credit for their attempts to at cleaning the air (investing in chalk eater filtering systems, fans, and improved matting covers), there is only so much that can be done in that building.
Fancy yourself a monkey? Spider maybe? Or are you wondering if your dog would be better of having your thumbs? Whatever your skill level or desire, this adult playground is fantastic. Weekly updates on the boulder problems, friendly staff and atmosphere. This little beauty will having you and your forearms wanting more. Test yourself and your mind here and you cannot leave without thinking: damn, that was great.
Always good for a tireing boulder session or relax In the cafe and chat with the friendly staff
It was nice to climb problems you can top out. This for me was the highlight of this gym. I have not been to any other gyms in the province where you can top out the wall. The route setters do a great job. Some holds were extremely chalky but maybe it was just because that route had been set a long while ago. Decent conditioning area with all you need to warm up, stretch and do dead hangs. It seems a little too chalky in there but I guess it is a high traffic area. No moonboard which doesn't really affect me but it seems like it is becoming more and more popular. The cafe next to it seems like it is busy so it is probably good. I will try it next time I go there. Overall the place is great. The walls are a little taller than most of the other bouldering gyms I've been to in Calgary and Edmonton. Which is very appealing. I think you can register your car plates at the gym if you park around the facility. It was quite busy when we were there and we ended up paying at those parking booths. Wish we would have known about the registration. You can find Tenaya and other brands of shoes and miscellaneous items at the entrance.
I like bouldering here. The routes are pretty diverse and get updated quite frequently. The staff are nice, but at peak times they aren't able to help. This is due to staff having to manage both the rental counter and the the cafe portion of Rock Jungle. Not only that, but the staff also have to prepare drinks, which creates an even longer queue for both the cafe and the rental counter. I have a membership, which is great, so I bypass this problem. When I bring someone who has never climbed before the wait time for service becomes quite apparent. I can't imagine how stressful it is on staff as well, having to deal with two separate lines of impatient patrons while also making drink orders. Honestly, that's my only complaint. Oh, and I wish chips weren't the default side for food orders. I'd prefer vegetables or having an option for vegetables. I've seen so many dogs and cats here. That's really neat.
Went for the first time recently and had lots of fun. Would definitely recommend to anyone who enjoys rock climbing. Everyone was respectful of social distancing and the mandatory masks rule.
In town from Saskatoon and wanted to check it out. Great gym with lots of problems to climb! Really liked the prow where you can actually top out over the top of the boulder! There's also a chill out lounge and food!
Great concept to have both a cafe and a climbing gym. Loved that there was tons of routes. So much space. I was almost going to apply for MacEwan university for going this place every day ????
I had a good experience at Rock Jungle Boulders! Parking opportunities in this area are terrible, but the staff were extremely helpful concerning this. The gym itself is fantastic, with challenging and vigorous routes that strengthen your capabilities towards power moves. Added bonus is a little café to end off a good work out.
Awesome rock gym. Tons of routes, all variety of difficulty. Bouldering only though. No belay. Great cafe and food available too.
Fantastic staff, awesome small bouldering gym attached to Dirtbag cafe
Great little climbing gym! Problems are updated frequently, and there's no lack of challenge for any skill level. If you're looking to climb lead or top rope you will be disappointed. No ropes or harnesses at this climbing wall!
Much fun! Is great for both experienced and novice climbers. Everyone (staff and patrons) is very polite. Great with friends or for a solo climb.
Amazing routes but some holds excessively greasy due to shoe rubber. Need to be cautious when topping out with those holds.
cool place for beginners and expert climbers
We were super impressed with the whole facility. Covid protocols were ...meh.
This place is great. The staff are all lovely, it's very clean, and the early bird special is great. As a new boulderer, I appreciate the new puzzles everytime I visit.
Great staff. Tons of routes that are updated regularly. Very friendly environment.
Great location, nice staff, and a pretty good gym. These guys have nailed it again by putting their great facility in a super expensive place to park. Seconds from rogers stadium means their subs standard amount of parking stalls results in customers having to pay premium street parking fees onto of an inflated drop in rate. Good job folks.
Lovely
Tons of fun!!!
After only two months of attendance, I have found myself frequently capable of besting God at physical combat.
Adore the new climbing space, really fun new problems!
Fantastic date night!!! Then I returned with my kids and they all LOVED this place!!! ❤️
Like bouldering? Love it? Haven't tried? Doesn't matter, this place is for all levels of climbing. Awesome helpful staff and a great clean facility. I come here a few times a week and always have a great time.
My regular climbing spot. Solid.
I specifically drive 5 hours to get here, there are things to climb, purpose served. Routes are always changing, more bonus points. The staff and patrons only add more to this place. This is what a bouldering gym should feel like.
Cannot say enough good things about RJB. A cozy welcoming place for climbers of all levels with fantastic staff. Myself and friends I've brought have always been treated kindly and with respect.
Great bouldering gym! Lots of problems, lots of variety, good vibe. Attached to a little coffee shop which is a nice post-climb spot. Recommended!
Great facility for bouldering, my favourite in town.
First time climber and I loved this gym. Felt super judgement free and everyone was so welcoming
Fallen in love with bouldering. Courteous staff, great and supportive environment. Love the route changes so that it's not always the same.
Great facility. Excellent walls and amazing route setters. The staff aren't half bad either.;) and don't forget to get something from the cafe!
My favourite bouldering place in Edmonton. Staffs are very friendly. There was some issues with our membership payments but the staff was super helpful and patient at solving the issues. They change the levels and routes pretty often and I always enjoy trying out new routes.
Awesome fun at reasonable prices.
Trendy and fun! Nice to have a cafe and waiting area for pre and post climb discussions
An awesome bouldering gym that is often busy, but with an energetic buzz. This place is pup friendly which is a huge perk as I love having a place to go and participate in an activity without leaving the dogs behind. As long as they stay off the mat, are well behaved, and cleaned up after should there be any accidents, it's very easy to bring your pup along. The bouldering problems change up about monthly with lots of different areas and problems to climb. Routes and difficulty rating are clearly listed. There is also space to warm up/work out if you so choose, lockers you can bring your own personal locks for, and a store to grab some climbing needs like shoes, chalk, and chalk bags. Rental is available too if you're hesitant to commit, and the Dirtbag cafe that joins the bouldering gym is awesome as well.
Awesome experience. Staff were very helpful.
Home away from home. Love this gym. So excited to be back after 2 years away and a year of Covid.
Fun and very difficult routes. Best padded floor in the city. Holds are kind of gross though- always black
Had 2 situations of putting my membership on hold for varying reasons and ended up getting charged anyways because of a "system error"... twice! The first time they were supposed to put a credit on file, which they have no record of and did not rectify when I brought it up. The second time I had to chase them down through countless emails and even when someone finally got back to me it still took another 3 weeks to get reimbursed. Complete waist of my time and still sparing a lot of details. Membership cancelled and wont be going back.
Bad customer service. Good equipment. Good beginner rates.
Great staff, great people and great facility! I love this place and I highly recommend it to anyone interested in bouldering.
Best place best people. Great coffee and food. Excellent climbing.
First time I have been here. I liked the layout of the walls. There was a lot of variation in the routes that were set up and there was a lot of difficulty levels as well. The place started to get very busy but no so much so that you couldn't climb. Only complaint was the parking was pretty terrible. Maybe it will be better after the construction is gone.
I've been climbing here since they opened and love it. I've climbed at all the other bouldering gyms and this once definitely has the most space and interesting problems. They are attached to the Dirtbag Cafe which has excellent atmosphere and great drink deals. If you are looking to boulder this is definitely the best place in Edmonton to go. Just make sure you are parked where you are supposed to as the Impark people are jerks.
Awesome gym. Amazing set routes. Constantly setting new climbs to keep you challenged. Always have a blast going here.
Super rad climbing gym!! Awesome little cafe out front and then a really great climbing space in the back! We had such a good morning climbing on some really fun boulders and the whole mood of the gym is just really friendly and welcoming. Plus there was A DOG which obviously makes it the best gym ever!
A+ bouldering gym! Super clean and friendly staff and patrons
Favourite bouldering in city, new expansion and kilter board has kept me from visiting others often. 10/10 Apes together strong.
Great gym with a great deal for first time climbers!
Holy hell the men here are dead. sexy.
Great facility, new sets all the time (but they’re up long enough for you to work on them!) and great vibe and people all around
Amazing set up. Love the fact that it's beautifully paired with @dirtbagcafe for an amazing experience and live shows
Lots of fun to be had here ????
Awesome place to climb.
Super stoked to have a bouldering gym, close to the LRT! It makes going for a quick boulder session a breeze :) The staff always serve you with a smile and are great people to have chats with. I love the fresh baked treats, and the drink selection is awesome! The fruity ciders are my favourite! AND they have Mario Kart and couches in the Cafe! This is an all around perfect place to get strong, hang with friends, or have epic Mario Kart battles. Definitely worth a visit or twelve !
Awesome bouldering problems, helpful gym equipment for conditioning, and cozy licensed cafe attached. Holds usually very dirty but quality of climbing makes up for it.
Relatively quiet with a decent selection of problems. The cafe is a nice place to hangout after climbing.
Super cool cafe with a rock climbing gym. Great vibe, decent coffee, cool staff and good beer list. Open mic on Monday’s.
Good location, friendly atmosphere, always a good time.
Great staff, and lots of cool bouldering problems.
Really nice cafe and usually well set boulders. The bouldering training area could use some love and maybe some more colors
I bought the summer membership (4 months for the price of 3) and I don't regret it at all. The staff is great and the environment is awesome! The best part is how pet friendly this place is! The routes get changed so there's always a new challenge at all different levels. Oh another 'best part' is being able to go grab coffee at the dirtbag cafe without leaving the place.
Amazingly fun climbing experience. Great puzzles, good cafe and excellent vibe. It could just be a little less dusty. Literally any surface you touch has a layer of chalk dust on it. Don't bring anything you don't want to get dirty!
Really nice sets, one of my favourite places to climb.
Best bouldering in the city
After over a decade of doing no wall climbing, I decided I really wanted to go to a gym to try and get back into it. This gym has a fantastic first climbers deal that I was able to take advantage of. I went for the first time this morning and the gym is much larger then I expected it to be with a ton of different routes for all experiences. I was totally nervous this morning and felt kind of intimidated by the other climbers. The staff though were incredibly nice, gave me a great tour, a few tips and just let me go at it. Right away I started to feel a bit more comfortable and chatted with some of the climbers who gave me both some encouragement and tips. I immediately could tell that yes, this is something I want to really jump into and thought it might be a good idea to buy myself some shoe's to keep me motivated to keep at it. I went to the staff, wallet in hand to buy my first pair and was surprised when they suggested to first do some research on shoes. I found that very respectful as it shows that they care more about me getting the right fit vs. making an easy sale. I will obviously be back and encourage anyone who is interested in getting into this sport to make this their first gym.
Great routes and tunes are always on point.
The setting is very good quality. Love the little cafe!
Nice routes, reasonable prices. Sometimes a bit crowded.
Amazing staff, diverse difficulties for climbing, cool cafe attached
Favourite place to be in Edmonton
The attached cafe is rad!
RJB is one of the coolest organizations Edmonton boasts! Great exercise, great food and coffee, and great people. This welcoming environment is one where anyone can come to learn how to overcome obstacles literally and figuratively :).
Awesome
Great staff, and facility! Awesome place for beginner and intermediate bouldering in downtown Edmonton.
Recently met a Co-worker here whom had never climbed before. We stayed for about 45 min. Routes are challenging. I'm a beginner and I see people of all skill levels finding routes that push their limits. Location is nice and convenient for me. Will be going back again. People who climb here are also good and you'll find yourself chatting up new people regularly.
Easily one of the best climbing gyms in Canada! Excellent route setting for all abilities from beginner to elite climbers. Fantastic friendly and knowledgeable staff, and a great community of friendly climbers! Love climbing here!
Staff are amazing!
Great use of space for bouldering. And good extra training room.
Great bouldering gym with a good variety of routes, nice for different styles and skill sets. Very little parking out front, may have to pay or walk quite far, especially on a week day during the day. Holds and walls are also quite rough, so expect to lose some skin if you miss a hold or slip off the wall.
Great problems where sections rotate once a week. Wicked spot all around to hang out and. Grab a coffee and watch your friends climb on a saturday morning! Good times
Twas a fun experience. You need strong fingers to climb. Here I thought you needed shoulders and back muscles. I was wrong. Its all in the fingers. Would highly recommend for those with strong fingers. Preferably those with all 10 fingers too, might be easier, I wouldn't know the difference though.
Little intimidating at first. But everyone there including the regular rock climbers are extremely friendly and willing to help. My first experience was amazing and fun. Will be back for sure.
Welcoming environment, excellent community events.
Great place. No need for ropes. Many routes. Cool people.
This place is cool, but if you're a novice it is intimidating. Just for me it wasn't my thing!
Great gym, great cafe, great people! We love climbing there, the walls rotate at a good pace so you’re able to work on problems and find new challenges each time you visit. The staff are incredible and make it feel like a community you want to be apart of. The location is prime, right near the LRT (but they have several parking spots too). Generally not too busy and overall just a really rad spot. The gym is dusty because it’s a climbing gym and that’s kinda par for the course, but they are always on top of cleaning it up so it’s never really an issue! Great place!
Great climbing gym just off of downtown. Lots of variety in the climbs and a lot of different problems for all skill levels. Bonus points for having a training and weight room attached.
Love the place, the atmosphere is always inviting and the boulders are always interesting. Keep up the good work
I'm a climber myself and since I found this place I rarely climb anywhere else. The cafe has a great atmosphere and a menu that has changes every so often, always delicious. Good selection of craft beers to go with good company. Highly recommended for anything from coffee dates, having a couple of brews after work. Awesome open mics on Wednesday nights too!
Nice facility, good variety of routes.
Would recommend to everyone and anyone for parties, groups or even just a solo trip. If you've never been before there is a deal that gets you 7 days of access as well as rental shoes if needed, for $15. A great deal for anyone who has never tried before.
I was hopeful when a new Rock Jungle location opened near downtown, however was sorely disappointed. The food and coffee at the cafe somehow manage to be both overpriced and below average. Service was poor, the music is was too loud, and there was an ever present smell of sweat that they could not seem to contain to the rock climbing area. The bathrooms were, frankly, traumatizing, I will not be coming back here, and recommend you stay to the other Edmonton locations, or really anywhere else.
This is an awesome place for climbing, it's even great to go by yourself when schedules don't line up. The routes are very easy to follow and clearly graded by difficulty. They have routes at all levels of climbing and reset a new wall every week so the challenges are always changing.
Friendly staff. Avoid peak times if you can, it gets pretty packed.
Totally chill vibe! I went once for coffee and two weeks later I'm regularly climbing at the gym. I'm so glad I found a place like this to socialize and exercise together.
Nice gym with plenty of variety in problem types and difficulty.
They are super friendly, welcoming, and mildly sweaty. Fresh routes keep things engaging. The rotation is spread out over a long enough period to let you take a crack at the same problem for a month, while still getting new puzzles to try every week. Dirtbag cafe is also a winner.
Great climbing, great people!
Great Service, the rock walls are well taken care of, and the other patrons are always nice!
Awesome staff, great community and super welcoming of beginners!!
Best bouldering place I've been so far, hands down.
Awesome bouldering gym and atmosphere! Nice cafe for drinks after too! :)
Lots of fun, challenging routes. The place is well maintained, reasonably priced, and most important the staff are excellent. Friendly service from arrival to departure. Safety demonstration is quick and easy and then you are turned loose to enjoy climbing.
Love this place. Good gym with good vibes and a café
Routes are reset in small segments once a week; based on the traffic to this gym and how much rubber and chalk are pressed into greasy, shiny holds, and based on how much blood is on the wall, this gym could do with resetting twice a week. People are glued to the new routes every week and make it a slog to try and climb new routes. Questioning whether or not to renew a membership based on this. It's just too crowded and too small to have routes that are 6+ weeks old when there are so many climbers here. I live right in the area and blocs is well-taken care of enough to be a contender. Mixed with how sparse the resets are at RJF.. it's just falling behind.
Great routes color coded by boulder color. Routes go quite high and the pads are very substantial. More expensive than other options but located strategically downtown for convenience.
Great bouldering, good range of problems but a bit expensive
Nice place, friendly staff, and continually updated routes. Who could ask for more? They do run on their own proprietary difficulty scale but there are quality routes for every level.
This place 100% passes the vibe check. Great atmosphere, excellent variety of routes, and friendly staff. We will be coming back for sure
Friendly staff, great cafe with nice events like open mic and game nights. Boulder lounge is very big so it never really feels crowded, and also includes a small gym with hangboards, bikes, free weights. Campus board and rings are a nice bonus as well. Only downside is the holds tend to get a little greasy, but they have brushes you can use to take care of that. All around great bouldering gym!
I'm not the greatest at rock climbing but I really like this place. Everyone is friendly and willing to help. They also have a cafe there as well that's very chill and cozy. Only thing I would say is lockers but they're working on it so that's good.
Absolutely amazing place. Friendly staff and great atmosphere
Very relaxed
Amazing gym with amazing setters and great value for memberships
Great little bouldering gym with friendly staff and nice membership
I'd say it's easily the best bouldering spot in edmonton! Tons of new problems for climbers new or experienced. It's also attached to an amazing cafe
Great staff, great atmosphere, great climbing routes.
Enjoy the atmosphere and staff
Fun place to chill and hang while doing bouldering. I go about twice a week and there are enough routes to keep me entertained while having physical exercise. Really warm welcoming atmosphere. Good for beginners to Spiderman. Also cafe attached it 10/10
Great facility the climbing problems are changed a lot
Great food, climbing, and friendly inviting staff
Why would you Boulder anywhere else
Great!
Come to Edmonton from Toronto for work every few months, and I always make sure to stop by here to get some training in. The staff is very knowledgeable and their routes have a large scale of difficulty for all climbing levels. The gym is always busy and people are always willing to help or support when a climb is tough. and yes, dogs are allowed which makes this place that much better!
I just visited this gym today. Originally, I was planning on getting a membership after my weekly pass ended. I am unsure now. While in the fitness area, I saw a man exercising who was not wearing his mask. When I informed the front desk lady, she did nothing. Then the front desk man walked by, noticed the maskless man, and walked away. I waited for someone to enforce the rules to him, but they never did so I eventually left. Simply put, it is disrespectful to your customers to disregard their health and concerns by not actually enforcing mask wearing... Especially after you have seen it with your own eyes AND a customer has brought it to your attention. And especially in a gym facility, where people are exercising and breathing heavily... It is reckless to not do so. Furthermore, hand sanitizing and social distancing should be emphasized more, as many unfortunately were not. In the end, it was a disappointing experience for my first time visiting.
Interesting routes to climb that get updated regularly, on fresh/grippy holds. Great cafe attached ("Dirtbag Cafe") with delicious baked goods and a good craft beer selection (with a menu that actually describes the taste). Friendly staff all-around.
So much fun and everyone from the staff to the fellow climbers were so nice. Great weekly spot.
Fun but pretty expensive. They have a student discount and so since I'm a student I got a drop-in for $20. Probably won't go again unless they lower their prices.
Great
As of now its the best place in town, it will have strong competition from “Blocs” when its opening in august 2018
Great climbing gym for bouldering. Hear they're expanding as well.
Great community, amazing facility. They update the walls on a weekly basis.
Awesome gym. Support fully! Go climb things!
Boulders and fitness are the by far the best places to climb in Alberta. The best is only getting better with more walls at both locations!
Bar/cafe next door is awesome. The training area at the gym is pretty small and in general the place lacks character. Would return
The best Rock Climbing Gym in town, great staff, great vibe and great people!!!
Great gym with cafe attached. Lots of different routes and faces to climb on. Has a fun overhang section which is always a challenge along with a couple good slab sections. Also a unique touch where you can climb over the top to a seating area with campus board, rings and mats for stretching/warmup/cool down. Student rate available if you are one.
Fun place to climb - challenging routes. Their 'rocks' are super new and sharp and my hands (never seeing a day of labor in their life) got a few rips. Totally worth it though.
On April 1, 2017, I showed at RJB with some friends to climb for a couple hours. When I checked in at the front desk, none of the staff mentioned anything about the party that night. When I went in to climb, I saw party planners setting up lights and sound systems and stuff, but it didn't affect my climbing so I thought nothing of it. However, after I'd been there for about 40 minutes, they suddenly TURNED OUT ALL OF THE LIGHTS. At 7:00pm. A full hour before the wall closed for the night. They had a few party lanterns on, but it wasn't enough to see the different routes on the wall and we weren't able to climb. I went out to the front desk and politely spoke to the staff about it, but they just shrugged and said that they couldn't do anything about it because they weren't in charge of the party (the Aspen Centre was putting it on). So I paid the FULL drop in fee and got to climb for about HALF AN HOUR, before they turned out the lights at 7pm. They were open till 8pm that night, and the little party poster they had up inside didn't say ANYTHING about the lights going out. The Aspen Centre people were more helpful than the RJB staff, but they still didn't turn the lights back on until the wall actually closed for the people who had PAID TO CLIMB there that night. The RJB staff didn't apologize, didn't try to fix the problem, didn't offer any alternatives, didn't offer me a refund, nothing. I'm incredibly pissed and have converted to Vertically Inclined.
Slightly cold, sometimes uninterested staff, expensive compared to University and VIRG walls. Parking is difficult but doable, but for south-side Edmonton it's a bit of a drive. Fairly chalky and "dirty" inside. About 10-20% of the wall is reset once a week, so there's both new problems but the opportunity to project. A nice (albeit small) warmup/workout facility. I like coming once a month or so just for the problems and to chill with friends, especially on the free-times for students.
Can get very crowded and smelly but it was fun and friendly
Best climbing walls in downtown area.
Best place to boulder in Edmonton. Plenty of room to roam and play. Excellent variety of easy and hard routes. And the Dirtbag cafe offers an exceptional range of drinks and food to choose from.
Staff is very friendly. Very clean bouldering gym. Great route setter.
Rock Jungle did not feel as clean as some other Bouldering Gyms I have been to however there are quite a few problems and they seem to follow a different style of climbing that I need to work on. This gym aslo has a little cafe that makes food as well as a good tasting americano. The staff are very positive and helpful if you have any questions.
Memberships are on the expensive side, but you’re paying for a super convenient location and hopefully well compensated staff :) . The problems are updated often. Staff are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about climbing. Nice cafe & broad beer selection.
Friendly staff .. clean and great ice coffee ????????????
A good time and good physical activity to do with friends. We went and the staff were really good at making sure we were informed on the rules. One thing I noticed is how inclusive their staff is. There were many handicapable people (don't know if that's not politically correct). It was great to see
I went here for the first time a week ago, the "managers" ignored me entirely when I tried to give them feedback. They look like a bunch of frat boys running this place. It reflects in their consideration for the customer. The climbing paths are terrible, the number system doesn't reflect the difficulty level of the climbing paths. The rock gym was really dirty. For the café it was clean, the girl at the counter was friendly, but smelt like sweat. The bathrooms are disgusting, horrifying actually. The coffee and treats are nothing to write home about and I would not even bother, honestly.
Awsome.
I had a two fold experience at Rock Jungle yesterday. The first interaction was awful, some of the worst customer service i have ever received. The second interaction was phenomenal. To begin, I have never visited this location before and reviewed on the website before that they have an intro offer, 15 bucks for drop in, shoes, chalk and it is valid all week. GREAT. When I arrived, i told the sales associate it was our first time and we wanted to do the intro offer, he then processed my payment and let me know that offer is ONLY available online.. there was not communicated ANYWHERE online. He was flippant and dismissive and obviously incorrect. After, I visited with a second man at the front desk and communicated my confusion and he was awesome. Corrected the previous associates error, was super helpful, and I left with a MUCH better experience than I entered with. Hopefully the associate I met at first was not the typical service they promote. Overall, 3.5 stars as the facility is great and the coffee shop connected is awesome!!
Fun gym. Friendly atmosphere
Had a blast was fun and challenging I'm a bigger guy so I couldn't really get to alot of the harder problems but had plenty of easier options me to try and work through. Well laid out and spacious
Looks like rock jungle Boulders has good prices. I would love to go there one day.
Pretty good place and the one week pass is great for people just starting to try climbing, the people are all extremely friendly whether its staff or just other climbers. Memberships give access to multiple locations so even after you have tried all the ones at a location there is more.
Cool place, bit pricey for non-students at 18$
Definitely a great place for bouldering. Great walls and variations for all climbers of all levels. Their retail store has a lot selection for climbing shoes as well.
The staff, food, and facilities are excellent here!!
Really nice bouldering facility, great variety of routes and difficulties. Lost a star for the levels of filth on the holds, feels like they don't really get cleaned. After two hours climbing I had a fine grey coat of dust all over my arms off of the holds. That said, not enough to stop me going back again.
Super fun. I've been a member for years and the staff and regulars make this place so special.
Great gym, awesome setting.
Dam....back at it again. Gonna be sore in the morning. Covid protocols in place. Great friendly service. Cool selection of shoes. And the coffee shop ain't to bad either.
I love climbing here! Such a great variety of problems
Clean facility, friendly staff, and great community in the gym!
Has a Cafe connected to it, which is really nice. Nice bouldering gym, routes change pretty often. During the summer they have bay, doors open giving everyone fresh air. Main complaints are it's hard to find parking sometimes, and with COVID restrictions it can be hard to get a spot on short notice. They get pretty busy!
After the renovation, boulders is better than ever!!! A whole entire new climbing section with a kilterboard, an entire new gym area. A whole new brand and aesthetic to the place as well, I can’t wait to go back ????!!
This business runs a sahdy practice of short selling its members on both trial passes and punch passses, with no regards to its own cancellation policy. This business short soldme on the trial pass, and will not respect the law in returing a product. The staff were not honest and I am very disappointed i ntheir practice. The gym is dirty, not maintained properly and I will never go back.
Best place to climb in town by far.
Love this place. The holds could be cleaner but outside of that the gym is fantastic. The Cafe is very good to with many micro brew beer choices.
Great bouldering with well designed routes and regular changes. Good refreshment lounge as well.
Fantastic place to be. Been climbing there for around 4 months now. The staff are extremely friendly and willing to help with a snack or beverage and even climbing! The people are rad, the place is clean, and the food is good. Can't praise them enough. Thanks Rjb.
An amazing bouldering gym with a decent training area and a great little cafe.
Amazing place with such nice people, both employees and customers. I also love how.ots pet friendly
