Disclaimer: This review was for the OLD Point Roberts Golf Club, it was recently renovated and I have not played the new Bald Eagle golf club yet. This review is not for the new updated course. The course is quite nice. It's a challenging course with mostly tight fairways. Bonus. You even get free coffee, this was a nice surprise. The coffee wasn't A1, but was a nice gesture. The greens and tee boxes were pretty bad. They aren't maintained very well. We went in March 2016, so they could still be recovering from winter. The drainage seemed to be pretty good. No real muddy wet spots, which is nice. Overall, the course was okay. I would still go back as I felt the course was challenging and fun. But the greens and tee boxes need some help.

Nice course at reasonable price. Prices are comparable to nearby courses in Delta and Surrey. Course was entirely refurbished about a year ago after being closed for a few years and is in very good condition. Don't forget your passport, although we found little difficulty going through the border. I will go again.

Fake tee time ! bad course condition ! I booked on line with a confirmed tee time 7am March 1, 2020( tee time attachment) I purposely choosed bald eagle for early tee time offered since its sunday and have to do some errands by 11am. I arrived 6:45am and pro shop was still closed until 7:30am a pro shop staff arrived and said course open at 8am. I showed my tee time confirmation and the lady was persistent with her answer that course open at 8am and she has no idea what's in their website. Very disappointing and i don't think their staff know how to handle this kind of situation. Not even apologetic but persistent that course open at 8am. Is it difficult to apologize on behalf of the management? Their website is a failure. Course condition is bad. Very wet and soggy... Thought it is good since feb 26 to feb 29 are mostly sunny days. This course can only be good during summer time.

Reminds me of how great this course was 12 or 13 years ago. Rick and the greens crew have really pulled this place back together. The staff was fantastic today and I'm so looking forward to some great golf for the 2018 season. It's a 5 star winning golf course once again. Beautiful location! Lovely shaded outdoor patio for a leisurely weekend brunch. I highly recommend the patio. Lots of seating options to sit in or out of the sun or in or out of the ocean breeze. All have golf course views.

Returning to its former glory and beauty. The course has been turned back to a lush and green, well articulated golf course. The fairways are well manicured, while the greens are getting back to their terrific state.

Vastly improved since the last time I played this course, still some areas for improvement. Greens very sandy, some areas of fairways are patchy, over all much improved. In my opinion a little pricey considering the condition and other options available, I will be back this summer for sure, keep up the good work.

We golfed there in May and it just wasn't ready at all and the green fees weren't reasonable. We came back again a week ago to a reduced price (well done, guys) and a course that was 100% better. It is starting to get back to its once-proud state. We're looking forward to a couple more rounds before October comes and hoping that the quality trend continues.

Too new to play properly. Greens although look nice are very very slow and to soft to put. Tee boxes are rough and grass is too long. The course will be okay in a few months of sun. Price is too high for the conditions but fair when the grass matures.

It's hard to imagine a nicer course in the lower mainland than this track right now. It's just gorgeous and kicks you in the butt at the same time. We were told that they are keeping the regular prices the same as the Spring prices so that's just tremendous. Better have Nexus though or it will be ugly as the lineup to get thru the Point Roberts Border Crossing can be onerous. Well done to the grounds crew and to all of the new team there. Yep, I can't think of a nicer public course.

Our first trip to the course since new ownership took over. The clubhouse staff is very friendly. The course is in fine shape after years of neglect. Some areas of the fairways are still a bit soft with the new sod, so short wedge shots are a challenge. The bunker sand is nice but a bit too deep,especially the fairway bunkers, which I imagine will settle after some time. The greens are not far off the quality of the course's heyday. The green fees are great right now - $48 CAD on weekends for players over 60. But the big question will be what they'll be next spring and summer. The border is a detriment for many and with new courses in the area, fees that are over $60CAD will stop a lot of players from coming. Hope they keep it affordable for all.

Likely the best conditioned course in the Lower Mainland right now! The maintenance crew has done a fantastic job. The year old bent grass greens have now matured and are in excellent condition - firm and very fast. Bald Eagle's exceptional drainage system has kept the fairways and rough in great shape, and the new sand in the bunkers is nice and loose, not packed down like most courses I took a guy from Kelowna there last week and he called Bald Eagle "The Best Kept Secret in Golf". Its truly back to its former glory - if not better than ever! Not an easy course, but if you want to be challenged, don't miss it! Green Fees are very reasonable. And don't let the border stop you, the lineup moves quickly. Get out and play it - you won't be disappointed!

It's too bad. This course used to be really nice. Now, it's like coming back to Chernobyl years after it was abandoned. Tee boxes mostly sand, fairways mostly dirt, and the only smooth parts of the greens are the dead patches. Hard to justify a border crossing here if there are world class courses like Homestead and Shuksan 15 min from Peace Arch charging less.

I was a member right from the get go in 2001 and have seen all the changes.It is nice to see that the course is almost back to where it was in its hey day.But they are dreaming to think they will get people to pay what they are asking.Ive been there twice and there is nobody there.If they kept the cost down to show case the course then maybe raise the fees but I dont think people are going to take a chance knowing the way that the course was at its worst...

Was extremely excited that Point Roberts Golf Course, newly renamed Bald Eagle Golf Club had reopened! Played this weekend & was truly disappointed as was the rest of my foursome! I am a committed golfer playing 3 times a week or more ...Index is 18. Have played here when the course was in prime shape & over the past few years as conditions deteriorated. Have always loved the course & with rates being extremely reasonable, continued to play until it shut down at the end of 2016. I was expecting much, much more for the money. Weekend rate is $75 USD, Twilight at 3 pm $55 USD. At the current exchange rate, the regular green fee is $106.60 CAD including tax. The fairways had weeds! it was difficult to play the ball down if it landed on one. The grass was long on fairways, first cut & rough! Greens were patched & furry ...absolutely terrible to putt on ...my ball bounced instead of rolling! We were told that the owner Coco had acknowledged the course was not in prime condition. Clearly the green fees did not reflect that! Bottom line is, there are many way better golf courses to play in the Lower Mainland & Fraser Valley as well as across the Blaine border for much less $. This course will never be worth $75 USD. Sadly, we won't be going back! :(

Really enjoy playing Bald Eagle. Great course with a feeling that it's just you in the woods. I surprised two Bald Eagles sitting low in a tree along the fairway. Speaking of fairways, this course makes you hit straight otherwise the forest devours your ball. Still a few minor patchy spots but those will get fixed in time and they currently don't detract from the overall experience. Coming back soon and often.

Nice and flat golf course. a little bit windy maybe because it is on the peninsula, which let you feel cool in summer. One of the tee is right next to Canada. pull carts are free. Nature environment with caribou and bald eagle.
