Lora bay was great, the course was well maintained and it was a challenging golf experience. For the price of a round I'd expect carts to be stocked with ice and water bottles.

I'm not a golfer but the patio here is one of the best around. The views of Georgian Bay are beautiful. The menu is pretty standard with a few twists but what you get is consistently good.

Expensive, tricked-up, 5 hour round waste of money. Plus is the driving range, negative is that waiting 20 minutes on every hole loses any consistency you may have had. Staff said 5 hours was on pace and did not give a monkeys. Better spend your money at other courses in the area which are not as slow or as expensive.

Interesting layout, fast greens, and a real fun, challenging course. I will definitely be returning here in the near future! Good food in the clubhouse, and the staff were attentive and friendly. Only real negative is the lack of facilities. No men's or ladies change rooms available.

I love giving good reviews, but this gorgeous, well designed golf course has terrible sand traps. With better sand traps this is a 6 outta 5 star course.

What a lovely course. It's in great shape except for the bunkers which are very hard with little or no sand. Best to play them like a chip shot.

It is no longer called Raven since being sold a few years ago, just Lora Bay. This is without a doubt one of the finest courses I've ever played. Great layout, fabulous practice facilities, and a upscale clubhouse. If you are in the Collingwood area, make sure to play it.

Course was in great condition (except for the odd sand trap). Marshall kept pace of play around 4hrs. Beautiful views. For those without GPS watch or rangefinder there are limited distance markers.

Lora Bay golf course is a challenging course. There are 66 bunkers to avoid. The course is in great shape with fantastic views of Georgian Bay to distract you.

Enjoyed playing this course. Very nice clubhouse, good range and putting facility. Nice elevation changes. Greens were well maintained but are tricky; well protected by bunkers, too. Fairways are a bit tricked up with bunkers or other hazards often right at driving distance, even on long par 4s. Great track, though and I'll be back and hope to knock a few strokes off now that I have had a chance to play the layout.

BEWARE UNDER-PAR GOLFERS! The reason I am giving a 1 star review is not for the golf course itself, although you can definitely tell they have let the course go a little since their glory days of hosting the Telus Skins Match, but it's still a great course. The staff however are completely ignorant and rude. From top to bottom, grounds, golf shop, food & beverage, every single staff member we encountered that day never smiled, and made our foursome feel as if we were an inconvenience to them. Piece of advice to Lora Bay Golf... if you're going to treat your guests who purchase the under-par deals like this, maybe don't sell them at all???? Pathetic service and hospitality. We ended up walking right out of the restaurant after being seated that's how badly we didn't want to spend another penny there.

Beautiful course. I have played here years before and the course is in much better shape now. There is about 5-6 stunning holes on this course: numbers 1, 2, 9, 15 and 16 were my favourites. My only criticism, although not environmentally friendly, would be that you cut down the trees lining the 17th and 18th holes so that you can see Georgian Bay. Also, the course is very expensive. I would play again

I have played often at Lora Bay with only positive experiences ,until today! Yesterday we had an enjoyable day at Lora Bay with a wonderful starter and first class gentlemen in Dave Close setting us up. Today we were stuck behind a ladies tournament that had us totally fed up and done at 15 holes with groups behind us quitting before that!In 46 years of golf I have never seen a slower pace of play( 4.5 hours for 15 holes), with absolutely no apology when I calmly let the pro shop no of my frustration with not being made aware of what we would be dealing with! The proshop clearly caters only too members and has little consideration too under par subscribers!
