Honestly a nice course layout. Some holes on the front 9 are a bit close to one another, but that aside the changes in elevation, diverse hazards, and varying hole shapes make for a fun course where you get to try many different shots and really use all the clubs in your bag. Back 9 is quiet and peaceful, it’s my preference if I’m only playing 9. BUT, and it’s a big but, the course maintenance this year is terrible. Tee boxes are uneven and uncut, not a good start. Fairways are in decent shape but grass is way too tall and full of weeds/clovers. Imagine losing a ball in the middle of the fairway, embarrassing. Each green has a few dry/dead spots but they’re not awful, just not great. Course has a lot of potential, just seems whoever owns it doesn’t care to upkeep it. I’ve been 3 times this summer with no changes. If it were half the price you couldn’t complain but at this price point it’s just not great value.

Used to play there at least 5 times a year, was in awesome shape, this year new owners and not maintained at all. Green weren't cut (at least for 2-3 days) and are in really rough shape, fairways weren't cut, was like playing from the rough every shot and the rough was more like thick fescue. Not much effort was put into the course this year, very disapointing. Won't be going back and know alot of people that won't be returning either.

Played on July 31/21. Worse shape of golf course I have ever seen. Front nine was full of grass clippings, back nine had overgrown tees, could not differentiate fairway from rough. It is obvious maintenance is non existent. Will not be back. Gave one star so I could post, otherwise would have been zero

Had the pleasure of golfing at this beautiful course on July 29th. What an amazing experience. You find yourself winding through shaded woods only to come out to one majestic view after another! In some spots I though I was on the Scottish Highlands. Challenging but beautiful fairways and really superb greens.

I have been golfing for over 50 years. This used to be a great 9 hole. It has become the worst course ever. Lost balls on faraway long grass. Sand trap not a problem no rake or sand.. Bring a hammer to put tree in ground in new holes if you can find tee off in new holes. A total disaster

BEWARE ALL CONTRACTORS!!! The new owner of Silver Styx golf course does not pay his bills. I own Mainline Irrigation in Sudbury. I was contacted by Ryan Molony, president of SID Developments ( new owner) back in October to winterized the golf course. I accepted the contract after we agreed on an hourly rate plus the rental and delivery of the compressor. I told him that I would take care of getting the compressor seeing he was down south. It took me 4 days to complete the job. I sent him the invoice and since then he’s been ghosting me. I call him every day and leave voicemails because he refuses to answer my calls. Even with blocked number. So think twice before accepting work for this company!!!
