Played Waterloo open in 2018. Course was in Great shape. The grass was pure the course is a little tricky wasn’t my favorite layout but solid little track. Little bit different golf than I’m used to.

Told us we could play 6 in a group best ball and then when we went to tee off decided that we couldn't. Kinda sucks when you get your hopes up to play a nice round of golf with your family and then get shot down. Ended up going to Pheasant Ridge, which let us play 6 in a group best ball.

Being a lifelong resident of Waterloo, to me it will always be Byrnes Park Golf Course. I use the range to practice hitting balls. Byrnes Park Golf Course has always been my favorite local golf course.

This is a decent municipal course, not too challenging or all that long. It is reasonably priced. A significant detriment is that senior citizens seem to 'own' the course in the mornings. They can be less than considerate and don't typically allow faster golfers to play through. For some reason, is it common practice to play as a fivesome or even sixsome! How is this a thing?!?

First course all year where people thought they needed to hit into you, when it took us less than 3.5 hours to play 18 holes. Actually expressed my concern to the employee inside and he responded yes we have heard that issue before. As for the course it was in very good condition. Still does not make up for the rude people.
