REVIEWS OF Chicopee IN Waterloo

Max Niebergall

Great ski hill. Perfect for new and first time skiiers and snowboarders and with fun runs any local will love.

Jeremy Hutchings

Great staff. Good value for beginners wanting to try out skiing or snowboarding. Well maintained facilities and slopes. All amenities are easily accessible. Continues to provide an excellent day out while maintaining a safe environment during the current pandemic.

Jon Spence

Friendly staff and spacious mess hall. Have taken multiple private lessons and they always turn out great for the kids and my wife. Great spot for families and a nice variety of runs.

Wire Mesh Basket

Lots of fun! Pretty busy, so be prepared for long lines. Worth it, though. A nice family outing, but there are size requirements (I think it was a minimum of 42“, but don't hold me to that). Under 12 require helmets; you can bring your own, or rent them there. Overall, a fun day. We bought the all day passes, so you can come and go (warm up) as you like. Open til 9pm, but that was a Saturday, no sure if it's open that late during the week. They have a restaurant on site, but we didn't try it, so I can't speak to that aspect. Looks like they do zip lines during the summer. Lots of fun, I highly recommend it!

Robyn Murray

It's a shame that we can't visit this place with our 3 year old because her baby brother would have to be masked at 11 months which is against medical advice due to immature airways. Definitely your choice as a business to do this, but you are excluding families with small children due to enforcing something that is at odds to babies health. I'll definitely take my business elsewhere even after pandemic due to your views on excluding parents and small children. We don't have family help in town and just can't leave our baby at home, what about single parents? Very myopic. Just for some insight. My 2.5 year old did not have to wear a mask at the hospital at the height of the pandemic when she broke her arm

Brenda Hounsell

I hadn't been on ski since I was 14 years old and I only went on three times I think back then. I'm 59 I have been so nervous about going skiing but I wanted to so badly. I've talked to the girls at Chicopee through email, I go out have a coffee sit in the parking lot watch everything for a little bit to get the lay of the land. Well yesterday was the day I went out and I went skiing not one bit of anxiety hit me at all from the guy at the gate checking out my vaccine to Jen at the front counter to the guys in at the rental shop to the ladies leaving the rental shop and the will outside and everybody else outside that works there thank you. I had the greatest time of my life yesterday. I plan on purchasing a good set of skis if I can find a good set at a reasonable price and that's it I'm going to be living there for the winter. Thank you again everybody at Chicopee you guys are the greatest. Only one thing I'm a little concerned about and I will be honest is the steps going up and down from your cafeteria they're very very dangerous. But besides that thank you everybody you made this old lady very happy I'll be back

Love Chicopee Ski Club! I am a teacher who has been bringing school groups for the past 12 years. This year I took 137 Grade 7 & 8 students skiing with the help of many parents and staff. Chicopee is a local gem. It is a wonderful place for new or beginner skiers and snowboarders to learn and practice. It's quick access from the expressway which is convenient. If you are an experienced skier or snowboarder, you will likely want bigger, longer, steeper slopes, but for a place that's this close to home, Chicopee is pretty great. Chicopee offers both ski and snowboard rentals and lessons, and the chalet offers good eats, as well as amazing entertainment in the evenings. The staff is sensational! Pepper and Alyssa made our school trip super smooth and organized, and Cooper was friendly, energetic, and helpful, along with all the other staff. Thank you for another wonderful experience. We will see you again next year!

Jeremy S

The hill was well maintained. Definitely a fun way to spend a couple hours. Despite being very busy, the staff was very friendly and did a good job keeping things moving. Food was decent and prices were fair. The parking lot is in rough shape.

My son brought his own snowboard but it wasn't up to their standards and wanted an extra $35 to rent one of theirs for an hour and a half after we had paid $23 for a lift pass. Scam.

Cindy Hu

Cold but beautiful, everyone enjoy it :) even a volunteer parent who cannot ski ~ The professional coaches and staffs can take care of the children in skiing, so parents can wait and warm up in the cafeteria

Sarah McTavish

For what it is, I can’t complain even a little bit. Great little hill, right in the city. Prices are decent — especially the discovery packages that include rentals. They have good deals on March Break, as well. It’s perfect for kids and beginners, nice range of easy terrain. The staff are very friendly and great with the kids. We’re not talking about world class skiing, but it’s a lot of fun and only a few minutes from home.

Emily

Cute little tubing hill across from a strip mall. My friends and I are all University aged young adults and enjoyed ourselves there for about an hour and a half. Not much else to it, but it was fun!

Angela Mulholland

A well run facility and great for beginners and kids. But the hill is very small and the runs so short! Anyone with any skill will get bored pretty quickly

David Sumner

Great local ski resort. Small hills, but great for beginners and for staying close to major cities. Not even an hour from Hamilton. Had a great time teaching my son for his first time on a snowboard.

Brian Munday

Good for summer and winter activities, summer isn't advertised that much, but they have a great camp for kids , thy also offer bike and running trail passes in the summer . Much better value in the summer than winter

Emily Popa

We had a great time at the Chicopee winter park! The children had fun, and asked to go again. On the down side, the tubes covers and the straps need some sort of repair/replacement in the near future.

Shawn Keddy

Not a bad little hill. Disappointed that they are siding with ridiculous government mandates. You may be triple vaxxed and I encourage everyone who wants to get their shots to go for it, but I don’t want to live in a country where governments can force any medical intervention on a citizen as a condition of living.especially now that the vaccines do not stop spread

Rob Stiles

Recently attended a wedding here. The establishment is beautiful but the staff made it really special. Very attentive. I would recommend this place for a wedding. Accessibility needs were met by all guests

Scott Telfer

I started skiing at Chicopee about 40 years ago and have a lot if good memories there. I would recommend it for any beginner...but NOT for any intermediate or better skier. Considering they also recently closed 3 runs and a double chair....the lift ticket prices they now charge just isn't worth it anymore. The 3rd star is also just for nostalgia...btw.

allan espiritu

I've taken my family tubing here about 5 times. Great place, well maintained runs. During peak times the wait is a little long between runs.

JS Danyluk

Not bad for opening day 2019. They did the best they could given the weather conditions.

Joe Kimpson

A fantastic local ski and snowboard location, minutes from the expressway, lots of parking, varied terrain, great beginner area. Great deck for sunny days. Good Wifi

Neel Bhatt

The family had a memorable time and the weather was perfect for snow tubing. The only knock was there were only 3 lanes open averaging 20-30 wait per line.

bleutyler

Staff keep the lines moving well while still being very safe. Staff were very encouraging to a child who was getting very nervous about the 300m zipline. The staff were empathetic and nice to her when the child, at the very last minute(all geared up and on the ledge), decided to not do the 300m zipline. Trampoline was popular and I think could have used another staff member.

Amar Kanwal

The rental equipment is decent if you forget your own. The slopes are properly maintained, not too icy

K W

Lots of fun. The all access pass will take you about 5 hours of fun. Zip lining is obviously the best thing. It's a pretty long ride. Definitely do it again. Groupon deal makes it a definite visit. Worth the trip.

Ella Pettit

The hills here aren’t too big, but are definitely fun. I came here in like 5th grade once, and one of my classmates broke his leg pretty seriously but the staff handled it really well and knew what to do. I’m intimidated by heights but this place is a fun experience and worth checking out.

saqib inam

Winter fun. Kids love it

Mike MacLellan

The kids and I had lots of fun on the slopes at Chicopee, squeezing in over 20 runs.

Jason Buchnea

I mean, it's super convenient and it's good to support non-profits...but obviously the hills are limited in their size, complexity and quantity. No complaints whatsoever...and they also have great involvement within the community!

Lucas D

Simply a joke of an establishment. Imagine not limiting ticket sales and having people wait 35minutes for a hill that takes less than 10 seconds to get down. They prioritize the people who are taking lessons so classes of 20 jump the line adding more time to your already extremely long wait. Staff are extremely rude, and they shut down the lift when I visited and didn’t offer refunds. First and last time coming here. Would avoid at all costs.

Anand Pochampalli

Great place for skiing and you have food and liquor at the resort and great fun for all ages...we have many options and rentals available for all the ski fun

Shirley Wang

Great place for beginners to learn skiing or snowboarding because it's cheap in comparison to the other ski hills. If you are more of an expert then it might not be enough thrill for you as there aren't that many hills.

Steve B

Great hills for learning to ski. Lines can be a little long and is slightly overpriced for what it is - but with not much else in the area they can charge what they want.

Holy Moly

Restaurant part the food not too bad. Hamburger and tuna was worthwhile. Cafeteria section the pizza is burned and dry. Hamburger is dry as well. The fries weren't cooked through. Prices should be cheaper for what you get IMHO.

Liam Brunner

Was surprised to that the hills were bigger and better then Glen eden not as steep but better

Marek .K

Nice urban ski resort / hills for all levels but expert skiers. Mondays or late afternoons are affordable fun for those with gear...

Maxine Tubbe

Small ski hill but the best in the area. Great for learning skiing and snowboarding. Rental gear, lessons, good practice areas. Night skiing with cheap pricing for the last 2 hours before closing. Great for families. Has tubing too. There is also mountain biking, zip king and other activities in the summer, but I haven't tried them so I can't comment. Overall, a great place to spend the day outdoors right in the city of Kitchener.

NANCY D

Called a few days ago about bringing the kids in to ski and was left a message that we did not have to book in advance for lift tickets and to just show up. Nothing was mentioned that they were closed to the public in that voice message. Specifically took the girls out of school to have a fun day of skiing at what is unfortunately the only ski hill in the kW area, only to show up today and be told that they were closed to the public. To try and avoid having two disappointed kids I was even willing to drop 700+ on 3 memberships. I was told the only one valid for today would have been the pass for my 4yr old. They have lost my business. I'll drive to London or Milton before coming back to Chicopoop.

Marlena Smith

This place has an amazing food shack thing and there stuff is great priced. Skiing is awesome and I went every year with my school. Snowboarding is probably just as much fun but I don’t know because I don’t snowboard. Can’t wait for tomorrow!! This year we’re going tubing can’t wait to see how that turns out!! Most likely will be amazing!!!!

Gareth Evans

Small hills but most of the time the line is short. Staff do a great job of keeping the lift open and running well. Pro shop is helpful. Counter staff are pleasant and help with all the inquiries. Friendly and always smiling. During peak times they do what they can to get guests processed and onto the hill.

Sushil Patil

This was my second skiing experience and was amazing. I took discover monday package which was worth because it included one hour training, rental and access to all lifts. Though training was for 1 hour, staff was ready to help at any point of time. Very friendly and helpful staff. At the end of day I was quite satisfied because I was able to ski from medium level slop.

Chris Johnson

Nice local not-for-profit ski hill. Extremely convenient location in Kitchener, usually has pretty short waits at the lifts. They're doing some major renovations in the next year or so, adding height, new runs, new lifts, as reopening the Sugar Bowl area, so I'm really looking forward to that

Charles de Bueger

The tubing place was nice enough, although a little overpriced if you ask me. $8 to hire helmets for kids? Come on. And it is not as if they need to charge that much since they are shut in the summer months since they are not. Still, the ride was fun, safe and well maintained with friendly staff on hand everywhere they were needed. Two hours is the minimum time you can rent a tube for, but that's about as long as you'd want anyway. Our kids (7,8,9) were pretty tired after 2 hours, even though there is a simple stand up tow that carries you part way back up the hill. It is good that you have to walk part of the way though I think. The lift kept stopping and starting which was a little frustrating, but whatever. All told, a good afternoon with the kids, but we don't need to ever go back.

Nicole Pereira

A huge shout out to Sarah who is a ski instructor at Chicopee. She was amazing with my two kids today. Even after the lesson she found us in a bit of a situation and came over to the rescue. Thank you for sharing your love of skiing with my kids. They are excited to keep going!

Nature life

I use it to hike and explore during the summer with my kids There is alot of nature in and around the pond to enjoy Be respectful of the property please

Andrew Aslanidis

Not the tallest ski hill you'll find in southern Ontario, but the location, high speed of the lifts, and multiple runs make it good for a day or night ski trip.

Frölfênüügen 4 Lyfe

Chicopee has been under operation for nearly a century. This ski park is a staple in Kitchener's history. They have events throughout the year such as snowmobile motocross and the provincial disc golf championship, etc. There's tennis courts with a club, a disc golf league with a pro level disc golf course, summer camps, beautiful hiking trails(not for beginner's), rock climbing walls, great mountain bike obstacles and trails, beach volleyball, etc. A great hall to rent for weddings and other events with beautiful picture opportunities. Chicopee has been a part of my life since I was a kid, I'm 40 yrs old and still going. Great way to stay active on a low budget.

dylan Van Veen

Excellent for beginners and not very busy. There is a decent resterant and cubbies to leave your own lunch or dinner in.

Riley Locke

DON'T GO HERE. Very disappointed in this place. No reservations for tickets during COVID reopening. They are running on a first come, first served basis. I showed up at 9am at open to get a lift ticket, only to find out it is a 3 HOUR wait in line to buy a ticket, and another hour to wait for a rental. I simply went home. Mind you, physical distancing was minimal in line and at the lifts. Don't bother going to this poorly run establishment unless you want to wait hours in line. Terrible management. Every other resort allows you to book a ticket in advance.

Edward S

The line for rentals takes about 2 hours. It's outside as well. The service people don't tell you anything either.

Joe Gioia

The hills are pretty good here and the tubing is fun!! When you actually get to go down though... unfortunately this place was way overcrowded had to wait 25 to 30 minutes just to slide down the hill and way you pay 25 dollars for 2 hours you only get to go down the hill around 3 or 4 times. If you find a time when not a lot of people are here it's probably a great place to go. But would not recommend going on a Saturday!!!

Ramesh Eerpina

Good place for tubing although there are no elevators so have to walk quite a but.

Rainbow Amanda

First time. Hills are a lot smaller than what I'm used to, but I'm happy something is close by

The Family Man Foodie Mayor G

Little pricey for a hill that only provides a lift 1/2 way up the hill. Need more than 2 people on top to keep up the pace and avoid lines. That said, kids had a riot, especially going down in groups of 3 or 4!

Mike Cable

Spent a couple of hours here with a couple of children aged 5 & 8. Zipline was fun and safe. Tube ride wasn't anything special. Kids enjoyed the spider climbing rig. The obstacle course was kind of a cluster because the safety cables don't slide smoothly though their channels, which caused a lot of issues with shorter kids.

Lillian Morris-Jones

Did NOT like the experience. They made EVERYONE watch the safety videos, even the experienced kids. I also learned that I do not like skiing.

mike winkler

friendly staff. Facilities were good but not great. Rental area was a little slow.

Mathew Gallagher

Great place for what it is....a ski hill with high caliber instructors without a 2 hour drive. So appreciate the Silver Tip Lounge when waiting during kids ski lessons. Staff are always great. Still disappointed that Front and SugarBowl never reopened with a new lift and a reason why we never purchased a membership

Ryan Murphy

This is a great place to ski if you don't want to drive too far from the GTA. The hills are quite small but this is a good place to learn how to ski and snow board. The staff are friendly and they have a good starter package that includes a 1 hour lesson. We good a few times each winter.

Josh White

Good place to learn how to ski or snowboard. The hills are not very long or very technical, so they're perfect for a beginner, but not very exciting for someone with experience. This is where I go to help teach people before going to someplace larger like blue mountain.

Trevor Lindey

Chicopee staff have to be some of the rudest most unprofessional people I've met in the industry. Let me be clear this has NOTHING to do with their COVID-19 vaccination decision. It has to do with the way their staff handle customer service matters!

Arden Unger

Going here on a field trip with sum 500 peers, it was pretty good. The log cabin is well-done, the staff are really nice. If you go, ask the staff to spin you really hard before going down the hill, it'll make up for a fun experience! The only downside, is the pricing for the food is a bit excessive.

Stephanie Burgess

Decent place to go in the KW area. Not many runs however strong efforts to make snow all over. Busy times during the weekend as the snow school is in session.

Osnat Shemberg Shalit

I sent my 8 years old to a ski class. The team lost my kid at the end of the lesson, and for 20 minutes they didn't know where she is, at 7 pm in the dark. When I confronted them and went to look for her by myself (and found her, crying). They told me that I broke the rolls, I can't bring my kids for the remaining lessons I paid for. And they will not give me my money back. So they neglect my kid, stole my money, and there is no one I can talk to about it over there. They have a monopoly on the area for ski, so they think they can do whatever they want. Be mindful of your kids when going there. (This is a random photo I found online of a kid)

Dillon H

I learned to snowboard at Chicopee when I was much younger. This wonderful ski resort located in Kitchener has been serving the public well for many years and will continue to do so. I especially enjoy their trick park, they tend to have awesome rails and jumps. Each year is unique. Keep up the great work can’t wait to get out there this season. Highly recommended for beginners & those looking to get their winter activity fix.

Thomas Papp

For those who want a place to learn without needing to buy expensive equipment (Board+bindings, boots, helmet) they offer rentals (around 90$ +250$ deposit) make sure to bring a good jacket, snowpants, goggles, hat and mitts.

Natalie

So much fun! This is a go to place for families and friends. A fun place to go during the winter when you can’t think of anything else to do. Also the poutines at their chalet are delicious!

Tam Vu

Good place to start learning ski or snowboard. Go there during holiday. 1-hour lessons + rental for a good price.

Scott Reidel

Great mountain, great skiing. The layout is a little rough, having 3 entrances for different hills. Would prefer one large main lodge breaking off to each of them from one parking lot.

Rich Ruszkowski

Love snow tubing here! Have brought friends and family and always have a good time. Theres a log cabin here for you to warm up with hot coco or grab a bite to eat while your tubing. Hill is steep and you can get up to good speeds. I reccomend trying the nightime tubbing as it adds a cooler element to your experience!

Pavitar Jeet

Helpful staff and decent prices. Great local ski place for beginners. Staff is ready to help at any moment and over and over again. End of the day it was a worthy.

Eric Labonté

Great time! If you are somewhat fit, the climb to the top is a breeze. For those looking for a respite, a carpet brings you up the steepest part of the climb. Would definitely go again.

MPO Real Estate

take 1.5 hours to rent a single ski helmet for child. Super disorganized entitled service team

Leo Peng

Lift tickets are excessively expensive at about $50 for an all day when there is about 10 runs with barely and elevation.

Saeedeh Ghaffari

Great small hill for beginners and kids. Staffs are amazing and super friendly. The only issue is the long wait for purchasing the passes and renting equipment. I'd suggest to setup an online form that people can fill out online to make the registration and purchasing much faster.

Susan Brocklebank

We are a very active family of 5 and have had a great 2 winter seasons in 2019 & 2020. Each of my kids learned to snowboard and ski in 2019 and we spent a lot of time on the hills. We lost some time the following season due to government lockdowns but when Chicopee opened again, they did a great job making sure people wore masks and the lifts ran appropriately. We where very disappointed with the decision of Chicopee becoming a fully vaccinated facility for the upcoming season. Though we are being offered a full refund for this season, the credit we where offered the previous year is ineligible for us to use. We wish you the best in your future endeavours but cannot support a business that would segregate the community in this kind of way.

Shane V

A ski hill in town that you can go to in the evening after work, or send the kids on the bus, how great is that! Staff here are excellent, most of them are either assisting you with your gear, or training people to ski. There was a generous amount and really impressed by how many. Limitations are simply it's size, it's a smaller local hill, not one people typically travel long distance for. If you're not local I write this because this is more of a training center than a destination ski. However, if you're new to skiing, definitely worth your time. I've never seen so many training staff on site as here. It's got more aggressive skiing for the adventurous, but those runs are over fairly quickly due to size of hill. If you're local, totally worth it really, it's simply allot of fun.

Dominick Pan

This is a terrible place we didn’t do the activities promised. I payed 33$ for 3 out of the 7 activities promised. And the activities I did were not even fun they were terrible. All teachers out there do not bring your students to this awful place.

Neil Mavin

The only Ski Hill In Kitchener Waterloo. Definitely a good hill to learn to ski. My neighbor always taught skiing at this hill. I was heavily into Skiing here when I was in my early teenage years and spent time skipping school and skiing instead. This ski hill gave me many fun active years in the area. It's most advanced hill was Sugar Bowl, and wasn't for the inexperienced skier. But has many moderate and beginner hills, to increase your skiing abilities. Definitely used to spend a considerable amount of time in line ups waiting to get back up the hill. It's a small hill so you spend more time in lines than you do skiing when it's busy. If you manage to hit the hill on a slow day and get up and down quickly it makes the experience of Chicopee worth while! Prices are comparable with most places in the industry, and the staff have always been genuinely good at the facility. There used to be tennis courts in the summer and they used to hold singles dances and such at the main lodge as well years ago. Not sure about current practices at the facility. They always had a decent restaurant in the lodge with French fries and quick dinner food. There was a licensed area with adults as well that served beer and liquor but they were always very picky on no over serving. It is more of a family environment at this ski hill.

Jan Wichanski

Chicopee has always been a nice local place to go skiing in the winter (obviously smaller than Blue Mountain). However, one thing that I'm not a fan of is that the back ski runs are closed, they use to be my favorite.

Marc Wilson

I was visiting for an obstacle course run, but Chicopee was a great looking place that I definitely would come back to. The beach volleyball courts were great, the course was amazing and there are tons of activities that I would love to do!

Sarah Jones

Good for younger kids during the summer. Summer tubing was extremely disappointing compared to winter tubing. Big zip line was fun but very rough stop at the end.

Mitesh Sharma

My first skiing ever was here. It was just great. Coach Brendon is real good at teaching skiing and giving tips for it. They have friendly staff. Do what they suggest at all times during skiing/snowboarding. The learning centre is good enough for beginners and amateur. Rentals are new and advance you should go for them. Must take snacks and drinks for the breaks. You can go out for a bite when you decide to take a break and then start skiing/snowboarding again. Really a worthwhile experience.

Edward Stavin

Great way to get a few hours of skiing in without the stress of driving for two hours one way. I especially like the short walk from the parking lot to the lodge with our gear, the lack of lineups, lots of ski lockup racks, the roomy restaurant and the super hi speed WiFi to check my voip voice mails. One thing they could do this summer is build a porch/storm door over the deck doors that lead into the cafeteria. For some reason everyone avoids the interior staircase all January long and this keeps the cafeteria cold as they all rush in and out the deck doors along with the icy wind. Seems that many years ago the deck access from the ground was closed in winter but I guess this practice was forgotten in the recent past.

Mark Naylor

Kids had a great time zip-lining and playing on trampolines and climbing structures. Staff were helpful and efficient, even when they seemed busy.

Steve Burnet

Great hill to learn how to board. Jourdyn is an excellent instructor.

Jonah Miller

The runs are not step, difficult, or long. But Chicopee is dirt cheap and right in Kitchener and that makes it an awesome ski area. Also the chalet is surprisingly good.

User

Staff are rude, wait times are ALWAYS long since they don't limit sales (30-45+ minutes to go down a 20 second hill) and lots of mess in or around the chalet (you would think they would improve during the pandemic). And then top it off this year, you are required to be vaccinated... to be outside. AND now they even require kids under 2 to wear a mask at all times even outside (which is dangerous to a infant). Will not be returning to this place again. You have been warned.

kevin reales

good to ski here for beginners, mellow runs and really cheap lift tickets for any Hill around

Kayleen Hamelin

This place is great for learning! The people are super nice but as any place that's great for learning, it's smaller. We actually had our ceremony here and that was amazing. Highly suggest this as a venue!

Jafar Villan

I really like this place. It’s second time visiting this ski village. I’d say it’s not packed as BlueMountain which has good vibe though. Chicopee is good for just skiing for all levels and reasonable price for ski rentals (if you planning to) and lift ticket . They have fireworks during long weekends

Steve Main

Ski hill is making sure that people have their masks on. Please make sure if you dont have an express card that you park in the lot by the bunny hills, if you park in the east lot they will make you go around. Always a blast, not huge hills but they are enough for being local.

Kanwar.d Singh

The snow tubing experience here turned out to be much much better than expected. We were a big group of 16 and did the tubing in pairs or triples which is better than going solo. The wait times we were told on the phone and outside while parking were over exaggerated. We went during a long weekend. So please dont get scared when they tell you, you will have to wait alot. The slope isn't that high but is long and is super fun. Worth every penny. Best part is everyone can enjoy since this requires no skill whatsoever.

Neil P

For a small hill, it's lots of fun. Friendly staff, ample parking, well-groomed trails and convenient for KW residents. I wish they would split Saturday and Sunday into 2 time slots with half day options, but it's still pretty cheap for a few hours of fun. I would recommend you lock your gear when you go in for lunch, dinner or a beer, it's not uncommon for theives to be hanging around just like any other ski area.

Thomas Mlodzinski

Pretty good starter slopes... My son learned how to ski. Very busy on weekends but best time to go is during the week.

Rustam Shirinov

Looks like COVID damaged brain of a person who made such stupid rules there. It used to be very nice place, but now they implemented very very very stupid rules because of COVID. For example you can’t get express pass if you have many private lessons, only if you have 9 weeks program. Checking vaccinations every time every if they see tons of lift tickets on me etc.

Shyla Tibando

Chicopee is a fantastic ski destination. If you are interested in learning to ski, this a great place to do it. The hill is well thought out, the instructors are well organized, and all of the staff are warm and welcoming. In addition to the ski hill there is a beautiful lodge with an indoor ticket center, store, rental shop and changing area. Upstairs you’ll find a cafeteria and restaurant. The deck is a great place to enjoy a warm drink while taking in the sun and watching the snow riders.

walter wojtasiak

Chicopee sucks...there is hardly no snow, but there is lots of skiers skiing on the mad..????☹️

Ken Mariciak

They are trying hard but experience there last week was disappointing... 3 hrs in line to get lessons and rentals and no option to book ahead online. Not a good flow to their system.

Brent Bouteiller

Great place to learn and to warm up. Great for night snowboarding/skiing. Lots of families on the hills.

Danica Huber

This is one of my most fave ski resorts. The staff, especially Luz Wadeson, and guest services crew is unbeatable. Chair lift staff of Uber friendly and competent. The ski schools offered are very age appropriate with qualified instructors and even, flex times to accommodate everyone's schedule. Special features such as family night, student night, a valentine's date special and more are featured at the resort. Lockers avail and coin operated or if u act earlier, u can pay for a season's Lockers. Sports shop, cafeteria and bar all within the main chalet. The ski patrol is amazing and very competent.

Cecille Freeman

Very small ski hill, but they do focus well on stuff they can do well - well maintained terrain park, good beginner hill, beginner terrain park, nice tube park. Summer has a decent frisbee golf course (lots of excercise - twice up and down the hill), ropes course, biking and tennis.

Michael Mior

Went here for a night ski after not having skied in several years. It was a decent warm-up, but once you pass the beginner stage, you'll probably quickly get bored.

Jason Hynes

Great time at Chicopee! Hills are very small and the runs are short but for a small hill this is great value. Instructors for our kids were excellent - very positive and kept the kids engaged.

Peter Bechard

Fun to ride a bike up to the top of the hill

Erica Reid

A great place for Kids to learn to ski and for mom and dad to take the kids out on the hill. In the summer our kids enjoy the biking and adventure camp. Definitely worth going out and being part of the Chicopee scene.

Patrick Gilbride

Great beginner hill - excellent instructors!

Nevada Elijah-Camelo (Nevada Rhae)

Quick snowboarding lesson with Devan! Great activity for a Sunday afternoon.

Mark Booker

Staff have always been extremely helpful and friendly. The executive director even carried my skis out to the car one day and wished me well even though he didn't know me! I've been going there for years with my kids and yes - it is small but it is super family friendly and if you watch for deals you can cut your costs. All in all an awesome inner city hill for those with little time to travel long distances.

Fatheen Ali

I've been here twice now. I'd recommend this place for anyone that's looking to go tubing and having some fun. We've come we larger groups and had additional discounts, perhaps something to think about before going

Mohammed Sheikh

New to the area and was looking for a place to take my son for skiing. Website says that children are required to be vaccinated and need to show their papers… very disappointed and will not support even after lockdowns and Covid is over. People will remember these businesses. ????

Tom Fallon

Definitely exceeded expectations. Plenty of runs for different levels and reasonable prices. The equipment that you can hire is to a very high standard. Happy and helpfull staff who definitely love their jobs. Could happily spend all day here and find enough to do.

Robyn Holland

Great family ski resort. Friendly staff and very safe during the "covid season"!

Stephanie Murray

Great hill for a day of skiing with young children. The hill is well staffed with a team of young, courteous staff members who provided great customer service right from check-in and purchase to ski return rental. The lodge was busy, but kept clean. My son took a private lesson and his instructor was encouraging and positive.

Mark Hallman

We had our 4 year old enrolled in skiing lessons this past winter, and it was a great experience. The classes are small (our son's was 2 kids for 1 instructor), the instructor was great, and our son picked up skiing very quickly as his confidence grew.

AJ Scholten

I always loved this hill, many great experiences here but now they chose to show a Qr for outside activities? We have our shots but this is unacceptable. We need to stand up for peoples rights and to have freedom in this country and Chicopee has chosen to trample them just like our government. Canada was formed in cooperation and not seeing that these days. Will not be going back to this hill sad to say.

Marcus Barretto

Just one thing to say: Almost 3h waiting to rent equipment. Gave up when came to my knowledge that returning the rentals was also a headache. Never again

SethDedun

Chicopee is a wonderful place for anyone, they could stand to maintain their parking lot better (massive potholes) however, the park and ski hill is absolutely serene.

Scott McGregor

At Chicopee you get a great experience for what it is. It's a small ski hill. However, it is fun. You can get lots of runs in. Staff are friendly. Food is good. Best part, you don't have to drive for hours if you live in K-W. And they have a killer Oktoberfest party!!

Greg Harrold

The tubing was fun, but there is a lot of missed potential. Food and drinks were sad, and I could have done another 10 runs if it was laid out better. Friendly staff and lots of fun still

Alicia Farrell

Everything was great but no toilet paper? In any of the stalls. For the price we are paying, you should at least keep the washrooms refreshed. Food staff were great!!

Shane Graham

It’s a crowded hill but it’s better the nothing. Great learning slopes for kids. Be happy :)

Saj Faruki

My kids spent two hours tubing on Saturday night. They had a blast and my wife and I both feel it was worth every penny. The Lodge had a decent amount of seating and although it was packed, we find a place to sit. The deck outside was unbelievably slippery (not a good choice on the construction side there...) But watching the kids from the upper level was nice as we could see them almost the whole time. Food prices are reasonable and the quality was decent. We'll be back again for sure.

SAHIL PARIHAR

Great staff! Good for beginners

Tanya Seiling

The tubing was super fun and safe. The nachos and poutine was really good and the large servings for a great price! We had 45 youth and they couldn't even eat all of the nachos provided.

Lucas Siscate Bohrer

We had a great time there. Looking forward for the next winter season.

Daniel Carroll

Given that this hill is in the flattest part of the province, it's not bad. Limited number of runs, tho.

Anonymous Reviewer

The service on the mini zip line was terrible with the two men on their phones and looking like they didn't want to be their , and overall just a terrible experience! The customer service though was great with the lady engaging us and very helpful! Was defiantly not impressed with the summer service ! Hopefully the winter is better!

P P

We went January 3rd 2020. The hills are okay. Not great snow conditions, but that is to be expected for the weather this year. The really disgusting part is that they require you to pay for a full day. My son and I had 3 hours available to us, and it cost me nearly $100 for a little less than 3 hours of skiing on mediocre hills. Robbery.

Heather Fields

Great place to learn to ski for all ages. Staff are super friendly and helpful.

Bartosz Scheller

Great little ski resort with a lot of hill options for different classes of skiers and snowboarders. The staff is friendly, the food is well priced as are the lift tickets.

Mark Kofman

Small nice and cute ski resort. Hills are not really high, stip and long but perfect for beginners and provide enough fun, especially in current covid situation. The most important thing, resort doesn't require booking like most others today and the price is reasonable (not doubled comparing to the last year). The only challenge was to wait in the line for the lift tickets - it took approximately 1.5 hours, but for the amusement it was not really terrible. :) Warmly recommended!

Marcus Stong

Discovery Monday snowboard "group lessons" were outright dangerous. It promises station based lessons at their own pace, but beware. After going through a station on how to do up their front binding, and second station on how to skate and step, my two kids were sent up the CHAIR LIFT. They were not allowed on the bunny hill/magic carpet lift because it was too hard to teach on apparently. Chair lift attendants were goofing off and my youngest got hurt getting on his second time on lift after they forgot to slow it down. From what I understand, once at the top no one was there to help the kids off the chair. Someone did up their binding at the top and just told them to go down the hill with almost no instruction. This was their first time. Unbelievably reckless programming. Two stations at the bottom of the hill is not enough to unleash 7+ year old children with no experience on a rather large beginners hill. Would not recommend.

Marni Lee

Best friend got married here. The forest where the wedding was held is beautiful. We got some amazing shots of the wedding party. Inside food was pretty decent and servers were fast with drinks. Overall good experience.

Quinn Martin

I'm battling with this review. It's a decent place to go if you want to go skiing but not great. No amenities during covid and wearing masks outside is rather pointless in my opinion. Costs a lot but has good instructors.

Hasti Dave

It was fun to visit Chicopee. Fun time, definitely family friendly and fun place for kids specially it being outdoors :) worth the money. It was well maintained.

Zafar Iqbal

The staff was very helpful and Courtice, I would definitely visit again.

Stefan Vence.

Overall great place with friendly people only issue is that it's preaty icey on the bigger slopes but i blame poor weather more then the park other then the only other thing is the long wait lines on the smaller bunny hill. Overall its a great place

Truthful Peach

Great place. Kind of expensive and paper forms so takes a while to sign instead of electronic forms that can be signed before coming. Still fun

Anthony Ong

First time snowboarding and the Discover Monday deal is amazing for the price since it includes lift, lessons, and rental. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful during the lessons.

Sarah Sarfraz

Nothing says family like taking a drive to enjoy the snowy weather. Every year for the last 4 years over winter holiday my kids and I visit. This year was my husbands first visit because he’s usually working. He was happy with the time and family atmosphere felt. We purchased tickets on WagJag and it was less out of pocket. Maybe check before you visit.

Eric Xu

It's been 3 years since I was able to snowboard again. Sad to see local snow park is becoming less and less affordable. No more half day tickets, and they never put back the lift they took out a few years ago, yet the ticket price just keeps going up and up

Kimberly J. Snider

Waited 2hrs (12:30-2:30 pm ) outside, lined up winding around the parking lot just to check vax QR codes …. Then still had to buy pass and get equipped with ski rentals… sooo cccoolldddd!! ???????????? …sooo longgggg to wait. Isn’t there a better waayyyy???? ????

Dawn McPhail

Have been standing in line (with only 3 others in front of us) for 30 minutes due to "limitations" on people allowed inside. Poor planning as there is no reason to go inside to buy a pass (it could be done outside as with lift tickets). While we stand here 4 staff people are standing around shovelling a fenced off area. Given the many weeks/months to prepare for opening this seems beyond ridiculous! Very poor planning and service.

Urvish Mahant

It is an awesome place to visit. One can truly enjoys in this severe cold at this Chicopee Park with various activities it's provide. You can surely spend a good time with your family and friends.

Derek Lackenbauer

Nothing better than a place to ski or snowboard right in your backyard :)

Justin Hendrikx

The keep the hills in great shape. They're doing a good job keeping all of their offerings available under current restrictions. It would be better if they'd offer bookings instead of first come, first serve. People don't want to drive from far away to discover they can't use the hill.

Amanda Modaragamage

It's ok. I guess I'm comparing it to Blue Mountain which isn't really fair, but the price you pay should reflect what you get. I feel like it's overpriced for lift tickets for such small hills. Better than nothing though if you don't want to drive for hours.

Jeff Ohlhausen

Good ski hill for newbies to learn on. If you've skied much you'll find the hill very small. There are more summertime activities here but I haven't yet tried them so can't comment.

Tao Savant

Small but fun hill!

Alfred

Two hours wait in line for rental. Bad management

Derek Wight

If you are an experienced skier/rider, this won't be much of a challenge, but it is a great hill for learning with world-class instructors. Jumps and rails are decent, but again not large. Moguls are made on Apple Bowl when the snow conditions permit. The ticket prices are a bit high for the size of the hill, but it is a not-for-profit organisation so I'm happy to support them. Prices for rentals and food are reasonable.

Brian K

Great to come back to Chicopee. Enjoyed so much as when I was young. Now it’s my son’s favourite place. So much appreciation to staffs to eliminate dummies who always have something to argue regarding worldwide pandemic solutions. QR and mask -> no problem whatsoever.

Jelma Louw

It was great. This was the first time our kids (6, 4, and 2) went skiing and they loved it. I do which they would rent out harnesses for tiny skiers...but I'm not sure if any ski resort does that

james

Always a great place to go . I have bin going since I was a kid . Lots of fun !

Mo Ali

The place is wonderful! The staff are attentive and the facilities are well kept. This is a great place for adventurers trying out skiing or snowboarding for the first time. Also great for experienced individuals. Renting the equipment makes things easy and pretty affordable.

Cody Nowell

Cool little tube park - staff was helpful for our event. Lodge was really nice and had decent food options.

Helena Dobrowney

My first ever ski season lessons and they were amazing. Instructors are very helpful and patient. All staff at Chicopee are very friendly and professional.

Gordie Hanna

Took snowboarding lessons here and found this to be a great place to learn and practice the sport.

Keith Simpson

This place is completely disgusting . talk about going “downhill” and I’m not talking about the skis and snowboards I’ll just go to blue Mountain from now on

Josh King

Terrible service! My friends and I arrived there at 9:30 time we finished waiting in the line for proof of vaccination and renting it was 12:30 (all I had to rent was a helmet and there wasn’t even a lot of people there). I realized 30 mins into boarding that my old board was no good, I went up to the front and asked the lady if I could put my board in my car because I wanted to rent one. I was told that I couldn’t leave the park and if I wanted to rent another board I would have to wait in the vaccination line (again) because now it was apparently the rent line. I was given the option to wax my board so I went inside and asked but that takes up to 3-5 days. The moral of the story is that there is no communication and no was has any idea what they are saying/doing. I could go on with so many more issues I had there but I’d end up turning this into an essay. 0 stars, don’t go here!

Joseph Trowbridge

A Challenger run with over 100 obstacles done in the summer months there at Chicopee. Feels great crossing the finish line ????????????

Nathalia S. N.

Super fun ski and snowboarding place in KW area with a good deal available for beginners on Monday.

Gwen Darling

Staff were helpful and seemed happy to be there even on xmas eve. The more senior staff were great with the new staff in training. A bit costly for such a short time but I had a good time.

Vivek Patel

Went with my friend for snow tubing and skiing. Had a memorable weekend. The services provided for beginners who fo not know skiing are great. Prices are reasonable for snow tubing and skiing. Do not go for more than 2 hours for tubing. You will get bored after sometime but you can do skiing all day.

Deven Needles

I have been buying my younger sisters a season ski pass every Christmas for years now. This year I have come to find out that Chicopee has decided, against any evidence that Covid (or any virus) is spread while downhill skiing, to discriminate against my sisters because they are 12 years old and not fully vaccinated. Thankfully there are other ski hills in Ontario with a bit more common sense. Very disappointed, you have lost a loyal customer.

Sue Pollington

Third rate cafeteria food. Cold fries, stale bun, mystery meat burger topped off with flat pop. All served by three totally disinterested staff members who barely made eye contact as they took our money and then gave no direction as to where to pick up our food. First and last visit.

Naga Sasi Kiran U

Fun place for kids !! was here for 4 hours. Anyone planning a visit to this facility, do not forget to carry helmet for your kids or be prepared to rent one for $8 each

Desiree Pennells

Great place to walk my dogs. I wouldn't ski there but only because the hills are too small for me. I rather drive north to ski on better hills

Victor Yau

Excellent staffs! Couldn’t say anything negative about them. Everyone there is always helpful and friendly. This is a good place to start if you want to learn how to ski. Enough slopes of different level and best of all, it is not super busy especially at night time from 6-9pm. Line up usually last couple mins. Which gives you a lot of runs to practice. The only negative about this place is the parking lot. It is bumpy and muddy. It is fine when it is very cold when everything is frozen. However, when weather warms up, it’s very muddy. It doesn’t work well when you have kids. End result is one muddy car. Could not understand why they don’t pave it. This is why I took one star off.

Al Gilson

(I chuckle at the Chicopee tube park reviews -- that's NOT this place.) We've been members for a few years now, and it's a great little hill for those that live close by. It's not overly challenging, but it's a great place to start. Yesterday we spent 9 hours there and the conditions were great. After all the rain that came down last weekend, the hill was in far better shape than expected. Kudos to the snow crew. The chalet has always had great food. We've had some bad experiences at restaurants lately, but the chalet has always been excellent and consistent. The cafeteria food isn't as good, even though I assume it's coming out of the same kitchen. The downfall is the default tip of 22% during checkout. When did that horrible idea become the new norm? On the flip side, don't stay at night when the racers show up. The arrogance and attitude from them is pathetic. Between cutting people off in line and cutting people off on the hill, it's just not worth it. I've noticed it from both young and old racers. I've met super friendly members who have apologized for the attitude of others, and I've met horrible racers. Unfortunately we probably won't renew our membership because of this.

Gennaro Palmieri

Great place for Family fun and challenging. Great for beginners and experts. So close and a great value.

Karl Schuett

Chicopee is a great hill to learn, with a good variety of terrain of increasing difficulty. Excellent spot for kids and families.

Sherry Bradshaw

My son had a great first snowboarding lesson with Aiden. He also received some helpful tips from Jordan (a volunteer) before she even started her shift! Pepper was also so very helpful and kind! It was an amazing first time experience for us and we will definitely be going back!

Mohammad Abu-Marzouk

It considers the first time for my daughters We had great time Great price Great people and service It was busy we had to wait in line a lot But still worth it ???????? I bought the tickets from WagJag I saved more than 30% The only recommendation I can give them is they need more staff because they get very busy Advice to visitors take your time and don’t run on the hill because you will wait in the line ????

Britt Crouse

We visited the tube park as a family and it was great. The wait wasnt long. Many runs to choose from and a great space indoors to grab a hot chocolate or coffee and warm up

Gabriel Irwin

Home hill!!! Really fun to learn and definitely the best in the region. But when I can pay the same price to ski at blue mountain its not worth it at chicopee. Plus it takes them forever to even open their park. And due to their love of racers they moved it to a smaller hill... Still a good time with friends, a good park for the size. And hey, its skiing... skiing is never bad.

IRENA ERAK

This resort is very decent for beginner skiers which is why we chose it for our 20 month old this past Saturday!! She had the best time and it was so exciting to see her thrive:) But....this resort took it upon themselves to create a policy that even she needed to wear a mask!!! She isn't even 2, doesn't need it by any bylaw and wouldn't wear it or understand why she needs to wear it. She is too young!!! Half way into our skiing we were told she had to have one and as we refused we were asked to speak to management but that she had to put it on!! We don't own a mask for our 20 month old!! So, to avoid a scene and not to completely ruin this 1st family skiing experience we left. And we will not go back unfortunately !!!

Mia Harty

I really enjoyed revisiting Chicopee for the first time since I was a kid. A very family friendly environment, lots of staff to assist and keep the lifts running smoothly. This is a fairly small hill compared to others in Southern Ontario, but it is very conveniently located in you are in the area looking for some relaxed fun or a place to practice!

Antoni Kaloo

Chicopee is a great place for learners! They have lots of varieties of hills from Bunny Hills to Black Diamonds. The staff normally are quite kind, but sometimes at the rental they just ask you to put on your boots if you think you can, then just leave. The food there is good, a bit overpriced but spectacular views! I love this hill and would recommend this to anyone.

Nilesh Pardeshi

Nice place, whenever there is rush then you have to Wait for ur turn. So much of waiting time. Rest of the thing is good. Rides are awesome. I would suggest 2hr ticket is fine. We bought 3hrs but we left the place within 2hrs because of waiting.

Tiffany Neeb

As a former employee, they were very rude when I went to get my t4 that they didn't mail out. Wouldn't even let me in the building with my child

kitt h

Overpriced, understaffed, and the main chalet appears not to have been maintained well. They’re the only resort in Ontario that doesn’t accept the grade five snowpass. They also gave out rental equipment with rusty bindings, and still charge for a full kit rental, even if you only need a partial kit, unlike most other places. Staff were trying their best, but for the prices they want to charge, I expect way more than they provide.

Subi Mechanic

Very expensive for a disappointing hill very small and any experience skier/snowboarder would get board within minutes ... long waits to go up and your at the bottom pretty much instantly but I guess it's good for kids and beginners

Duncan Lu

Chicopee is a great place to take the kids, the tubing is really quite fun. However, be prepared for long lineups especially if they're only able to open two lanes due to lack of snow (as was in my case), I timed my turns and it took about 15-20 minutes each turn to get back up the hill and get to the front of the line, so you get to take about 5-6 turns in the allotted time (although they do give you a little extra time to make up for the queueing.)

Elden Faulkner

Great place to learn to ski or to get back into it. Convenient location. Friendly staff. Reasonably priced. Adult lift ticket and rentals for about $100. Cost per hour is less than going to a movie.

Sara Scurfield

Great family ski place. Way less busy than some of the places closer to Toronto. Lessons were reasonably priced and good quality for kids. Got my 5 year old on chair lift!

Gabriel Babi

Would be nice to improve the waiting line to everything.

Tika Pradhan

Chicopee is just an amazing place to start learning ski / snowboard. It also helps you progress into bigger and tougher slopes. Great staff too!

Farhan Hossein

Pretty awesome place for learning to Ski / Snowboard. Multiple awesome long beginner hills. Good for beginners looking to become intermediate and advanced as well. On site food and coffee is pretty good as well. Haven't tried their on site beer.

Julia Xu

Beginners friendly. Close to city. Nice staff. Sometimes the line for rental/tickets could be longer. But the nice special event price makes it up for that, i.e student night.

Ben Bradshaw

Odd decision by management to limit night skiing ticket sales to 7:00pm exactly. Here I am at 6:50 with a few dozen others waiting to give them our money. Not a great start. Jan 2022 update:. Still the same ridiculous setup.

Mark Smith

We enjoy our ski days at Chicopee but they need to put more money into the terrain park. Freestyle skiing is growing so more rails and jumps would make it even more exciting. My kids say a second terrain park with more variety would be awesome. It is a popular area and kids love it!

Kaz S

Was here for Rugged Maniac Race, so cannot comment on normal operation, we had a great day! Very nice area and terrain for the race. Seems like the the facilities at Chicopee are above average for what you expect at this grade of activities area. Ample parking, easy to get in and out. Recommended.

Naveen Prasad

Very nice place close to kitchener. Decently priced as well. Restaurant inside for quick warm drinks or bite after cold ski or snowboarding. Majic carpet and lifts are available as well

GOKUL Rajan

Excellent place for kids and adults to enjoy slippery sliding on tubes during snowy winters. It's a fun place to be with the downside being additional cost of helmets for kids. The prices for helmets are not refunded but they take the helmets back, which is strange. The cashier neither explain nor provide answers. Anyhow, next time we are taking bike helmets than paying a price for it.

John Chartrand

Great local ski hill. There are different lift tickets to only access certain parts of the facility. The cafeteria is big and you can bag your own lunch. There is a restaurant if preferred. There's lots of friendly staff around and all prices are fairly reasonable

Megan Ruiter

I attended a wedding at Chicopee. The venue was beautiful, it was an outdoor ceremony in a forested area. The reception was indoors, we had access to the balcony area and an intimate hall with a large fireplace and nice view of the forest. Staff was very friendly and welcoming, and the appetizers and late night poutine bar were awesome. Excellent place for a wedding!

Nick Varley

Great discgolf course. Took a group of 4 of us about 4 hours to complete. Recommend using spotters while playing. Wide range of holes. Just be prepared the climb hills

Jason Creamer

2 Scouting Groups (45 people) had a fantastic time. The hill was in top form for the youth and adults.

Nick Matthews

I came here during the summer for disc golf, which was a fun way to experience the ski hill and area. The facilities seem nice, but I can't really comment on the winter activities.

Grace Yue

Good place to learn for beginners. Both my daughters learned to ski here.

Phat Tran

Cheap deals for students on Wednesday night (5-9pm) $30. The run wasnt very long, but good for practicing switch and basic tricks!

Julia Steele-Mosey

Amazing place to learn to ski. Small/easy for advanced skiers but the lines move quickly. Fantastic staff! My kids (4 & 5 yr old) enjoyed their private lessons and made a lot of progress in a short time. We will go again next winter!

Matt Kim

Great little spot for my friends and I to go for a day of snowboarding. The hills are decent for beginners/intermediate as the they aren't that steep and not long. However for the advanced people it would be boring. No terrain park, very minor jumps and no backpacks on the lift :(

svrentz

Even with the covid restrictions, the process flows smoothly.

Kelly Stevely

We had a fantastic day. Felt safe and everyone did a great job.

Diego Pizzarello

first time snowboarding, lots of fun!

Livy K

Staffs were mostly friendly and Recommendable for beginners.

Julie Attack

Amazing starter hill for skiing and snowboarding. Tubing is really fun. This winter I have been snowshoeing on the biking paths while its closed and it's really beautiful.

Louie Louie

I would give it 4 or higher, if the snow wasn't so compact and hard, even after a week of snow fall. They need to get a grooming machine out, to loosen the snow on the runs. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Courtney L

I have been trying to get a hold of someone to book this venue for a wedding. It took MULTIPLE emails and calls to finally get a response. I attempted to reach the Guest services director Liz, guest services supervisor Jen and even the Executive Director Bill who also didn't respond. Extremely disappointed. Finally after a week Jen responded, she apologized and said they would get me a quote together. Now we're back to not hearing anything again for days. We really wanted this space but had to move on to another venue since they cannot get back their customers, and we couldn't risk missing out on securing another space. Terrible customer service. I cannot believe they neglect their emails and voicemails for days and days at a time. I would say don't book this place but you won't have a problem taking that advice as they won't return your emails anyway.

Azeem Sheikh

Excellent place to learn. Very organized and kind staff. Bunny hills are well planned for beginners. I was disappointed with Glen Eden after spending few days at Chicopee. They delivered on customer service and experience.

Jake Ace

Outdoor activity but you need a vaccine

M O

Don't go on weekends. 2 hour line up to get to the cashier (why are there so few?), 20 minute lineups at the ski lift. Waste of time and money

Mansoor Malik

Good place for beginners. The lines for the lifts can get busy as the beginners hill is only a 2 ppl lift. Magic carpet has two hills. Have a nice tubing park as well.

Ontario Reviewer

Great hill servicing Waterloo Region and beyond. Trails are very well maintained, and groomed regularly. Staff are great, they are concerned about your safety, and make sure to welcome you. Ski patrol are very professional and friendly, as well. The facilities are always decently clean. Many options of food are available for purchase, and they are generally good (I would not recommend the pizza though!}. Ski lift lines are about average in length.

pat cole

The staff i met while i was there were incredibly helpful and polite. I can see myself coming back for sure!

justin Furman

One word.... joke. Brought my two boys snowboarding for the week on a small vacation. Every ski resort I have been so far I am allowed to walk with my boys on the hill (magic carpet) if I purchase a lift ticket to teach them how to ride and stand up on a board. (I have no issues with that at all) Not this place. I have to have skis or snowboard on to teach my kids? Huh? Just want to thank Chicopee for ruining our week of snowboarding fun. Iam sure this place is great if your 4 year old already knows how to snowboard, but if they want to learn and you want to teach them go somewhere else.

K Shields

Excellent inner city resort! Unique gem, with many all season activities. Terrific comfy restaurant overlooking the hills with live music. Great views of city.

Katherine Kormos-Stolz

Nice little family friendly hill in the suburban Kitchener area. Small hills with light grade that make learning easy with some more steep hills for a bit of a challenge. Comprehensive rental program with lessons and very affordable kids and beginner lift tickets. Black diamond runs compare to blue squares at a hill like Blue Mountain.

MrsKrysA

If you have a child under 2 don't bother going. They will not respect public health recommendations and refuse you service if you don't put a mask in a child under the age of 2 I truly hope that this place loses all business and shuts down. Sickening.

Film It

Day I was there the hills were unkept ,there were holes in ice, I am a good skier but fell twice as it was slushy and they kept the unkept hills open. Admittedly temperature was high and I have been there before with better conditions. That's why I gave it three stars. Otherwise the day I was there they should get a minus for that day.

Andrew Gasparini

Amazing place to learn to ski. Very family friendly. My kids love it here. Docked one star because the waits for the lifts can be long.

Tanya Quigg

We had a great day at Chicopee skiing and snowboarding went ona Wednesday dayso not busy at all! The staff are helpful, kind and fantastic with kids! Great time had by all!

Puppito puppito

Absolutely brutal rental checkout wait on both Saturday and Sunday. It isn't that busy and took almost 2 hrs to get through the process. The staff working the front counter can't keep up with the staff doing the equipment. Very inefficient process in a world of technology. So many simple solutions that could speed up the process. This is clearly an upper management issue. Staff is very friendly and doing the best they can with a poor process.

Simon B

If you are not into big long hills and just began skiing or just want a challenge you can find it here and usually is not to busy

Karol Frackiewicz

The place is tiny, and it frequently gets crowded. However, it is right here in town, and coaching is amazing. The skills you pick up at Chicopee translate to big hills.

Chris M

Of course it's not Whistler Blackcomb, or even Blue Mountain, but it's great for what it is - an ultra-conveniently located hill where you can learn to ski or snowboard or get some runs in in between trips to bigger resorts.

Sharon Imamshah

Wonderful the kids had a blast. They totally enjoyed tubing. The adults had a beer.

Kristen C

Wanted to take advantage of the snow, so I decided to come to Chicopee to snowboard. If you come, plan to come on Monday to take advantage of their Discovery deal. This deal includes: snowboard, boots, helmet, lift ticket and lessons. Great for those who do not own their own equipment.

Rachael Sto

Sad to see this company discriminating against free choice!!! We are NOT living in Canada anymore! Nurses were heros during the pandemic and now we are an outcast!!!

Nicolas Pignol

Great little hill for rusty skiers or for kids! Rates are reasonable and the lodge has a nice restaurant as well. Staff is very helpful and friendly!

Rebecca Lubitz

So happy with the racing and lessons program. Great ski patrol also promotes safety. Lucky to have this gem so close! It is only 200 vertical feet but with so many runs it's still fun even for the more experienced, and I can always spot the kids so no one ever gets lost! Nice restaurant too.

Dana Pettus

It's a great place to learn to ski! The lines for the learner chair lift took forever though. They let the instructors go through faster (totally fair), but it meant that I had to wait a long time to go up the lift.

Clash Ash

Been going here for years. Recent 1 star reviews stem from the need to fully vaccinate to enter the facility. Ironically, I was fully vaccinated outside the province (still in Canada) and was still denied access. Not sure what's going on here. Not a huge deal, its just inconvenient for those who have been going here for awhile and surprised with the new regulations.

P Young

I'm new to snowboarding and haven't been anywhere else, so I have no basis for comparison. But the facilities are clean, the staff is friendly. There's plenty of lifts so even on busy days there's little or no wait, and while the runs aren't as long or challenging as larger hills, they've got a decent variety for their size.

Zohaib Khan

Quite crowded on a weekend but the staff is super accommodating. We even got a free lesson for our kids from Michael and James.

Mark Stutman

Weekends should be avoided. 20-25 minute lift line for 1 minute of skiing. 60m vertical drop means the runs are super short, which is okay if the lift lines are short too. But for $60/ticket, waiting 57 minutes to ski 3 minutes isn’t good value. Covid protocols mean NO singles line, so solo skiers just make the lift line longer, and significantly reduce lift capacity. Staff are friendly though, and less busy weekday skiing close to home is still in the cards even if the terrain is short and nor challenging.

Steven

Great small ski hill. Wonderful for children. Nice packages for groups that need ski lessons. Classes are on the hour. Get there 45mins beforehand for a group of 5 or more if it's your first time they need heights and weights for ski rentals. Mark was most amazing teacher for the kids (very patient and fun with the smaller kids)! Thanks Mark the kids (5 &7) took the lift up and did go down the larger hill. Great experience!

Hayden F

Good chalet. Not to busy but can be overcrowded on Friday nights (due to school field trips.)Not to many different runs but is great for beginners

Jaime Gonzalez

Good luck climbing back after ever slide... trust me, for the average person, 2 hrs are enough, don't purchase more than that... Super fun experience.

Jeff Villada

Fun time, great instructors and staff. Great place to start for a beginner

Stephanie Marshall

Chicopee Tube Park is a great option for a family event in the winter. We find that about 2 hours is a good amount of time (or 3 hours if it is really busy). They give you just over the 2 hours of time on your tag so you have time to get ready to go. They have the ability to make snow for the hill so it is often open all winter. Various amounts of "slow down mats" are used to make sure you don't crash at the bottom based on hill conditions. Helmets are required for children. You can rent them there or bring your own. All forms of helmets are accepted from hockey helmets to ski helmets to bike helmets. They have a moving sidewalk mat to help you get up the hill without having to walk all the way up. At the top of the hill staff give you a nice push and spin (if you wish). The size of the group allowed to go at one time will vary based on the hill conditions. There are 6 runs that are able to be open at one time. They open up the number of runs based on how many people are on the hill. For those of you watching there is a heated chalet overlooking the hill. It is also a great place to get a warm drink or snack. We love the fries and hot chocolate!

Greg T

Great Experience. Family of 6 with little to no skiing or snowboarding experience. Very helpful and friendly staff. By the end of the day we were all comfortable going up and down the hills. Very busy on family day weekend which goes to say we weren't the only ones having a great time. We will definitely be going back and spreading the word to our family and friends.

Kay Mogz

Awesome spot! It was so organized especially if your renting equipment. We had never been skiing before and it was a breeze to get everything you needed. The staff was so friendly and inviting they helped make the whole experience that much better. Would highly recommend!

Michael Boltz

Small but mighty. Great team. Great family fun and great to boot around practice ski skills. This place should be a heritage site for Kitchener Waterloo. I hope to see big money invest and make it even better for years to come!

Eddie Gillis

Party of six people booked in to the tube park/zip line for the premium package. One of the tube runs was pulled out, leaving only one run - a single 50 metre run, with a height maximum of 5-8 which excluded five out of six in our party. So our $120 + package got each of us two runs on the zip lines. Horrendously understaffed. Even with two summer camps in attendance, they only had two of the four zip lines open. The six of us, taking two zip runs each, took four and a half intolerable hours. Almost as long as it took to get the slivers out of our hands from the pathetically maintained stairs and decks. Disappointing. I had a lot of fun here when I was younger. But those days are gone. This place has gone way downhill (no pun intended.) Goodbye, Chicopee.

Simon Drewing

They tried forcing us into putting a mask on our 6 month old. We were told to leave when we refused, with no option for a refund on my husbands lift ticket. It is completely unsafe to put a mask on a 6 month old. Absolutely ridiculous, what a terrible way to manage a business.

Athletic Equestrian

Went for Student Night and it was wonderful! Aside from a great staff who were very welcoming and helpful the hills were well maintained. A little icey here and there but thats winter for ya. The wait for lifts wasn't ever too long, and the top of the hills were wide and easy to maneuver. It's great having such well maintained and accessible ski hills close by!

Joe Pansolin

Good skiing but expensive for a full access pass and not all hills being available. No senior rates. Parking lot in better shape than a number of years ago.

John Cronk

Plenty of parking for the amount of runs they have. Good drop off zone for large numbers. Great driving time from the G.T.A. area.

Meng Luan

I went there for skiing and snowboarding. Night runs are a bit expensive and the lifts may stop working sometimes. Still it's a great place for beginners within city limits.

Carolyn Lucas

Absolutely ridiculous. After 2 years of this pandemic, you'd think people could follow the science. Forcing young children and adults to wear masks outdoors when spaced apart is insane. Workers are on a power trip here. Definitely won't be returning.

Blake Harvey

Staff was nice, the lines were a little long and its not that big of a hill but seemed to be well maintained.

Jason Cruickshank

They told me Monday it would be open today and I go there because there is a buttload of snow. Turns out it opens next week. There was more than enough snow. In fact they were skiing/snowboarding down it because there were tracks. Get better management and be ready for the snow.

Dell Boy

These guys forcing people to wear medical masks while skiing! Disgusting!!! I'm happy for leaving this country soon!

Serena Scott

it is a really good place to go if you are a beginner or i know the little kids really enjoy it also good to go to if your near it. but im not a beginner so i would go to blue mountain or i love to go to kissing brig in the USA

Chris Voth

Alot of fun for a reasonable price

Rebecca Adam

I was never a skier as a kid, so I signed up my 3.5 year old for lessons hoping she could take on a winter sport. When I took my 13 month old son with me to go in an outdoor line to get her badge, they said we couldn't because my infant was not in a mask and the manager told me private property rules trump Ontario recommendations. I asked if she had an infant mask to give us, she said no. I work during the week so was sending my mother to wait in the line to get the badge and they told me my mother could not get her badge as she is not the legal guardian. Their VM says for clients to be kind and patient but their "guest services" have been neither. I don't think skiing community is for my family if this is what it's life, and I am trying to get a refund but again, they have been pushing me in circles sending me to extensions that don't answer and it doesn't look like I will be getting that either. Not a nicely ran business.

Grape Soda

Very nice and friendly staff. They helped me put on skis, gave me tips, everyone was very friendly and I had a great time

Shay Berkovich

When I lost my lift ticket they refused to print another one, although that was within an hour after the purchase. Another big minus are the slowest chairlifts in the world that literally stopping every ride for various reasons. You spend 15min waiting and riding the chairlift and 15sec on the slope. After couple times visiting this resort its just hard to justify the money paid.

Mary Marino

Do not even bother. So disappointing!! They also were fighting with a lady asking her to place a mask on her baby who did not even look like one year of age. The baby was crying! This left me distraught!! Never ever again!

Jacquie Dudley

Workers are on a power trip. Was so disorganized, causing people to group up in unnecessary lines for no reason. Most employees had no idea what they were doing (got sent back and forth to different places because I kept getting conflucting info) And on top of all that lines for lifts sometimes took over 30minutes. Had to spend all day there to even make it worth it.

nidhi goel

Long waiting time on rush days and the two hours pass does not accommodate time spent in waiting lines. Got only 4 rides in 2 hrs. Good part is and unlike other places they have an escalator that takes you up the hill so you dont get tired carrying your tube and walking uphill.

Paul C

They do not have enough seating in the main lodge. The food in the main lodge is luke warm at best. No fresh toppings and the food is very expensive for what you get. $4 for a warm chocolate is way over priced. The ski instructor made my son cry on his third lesson because “he wasn’t going fast enough”?? That’s why I’m paying for lessons! You will need an alignment after driving through their parking lot. The washroom tap only have ice cold water and the men’s washroom smells horrible, needs a powerful fan. I was seated in the SilverTip lounge, and watched 2 tables get seated and served. After I waited an additional 10 minutes, without being acknowledged. I left and told the hostess what happened only to get a sarcastic “sorry not sorry” on my way out the door. The whole place is run by kids, if you want value for your money, I would not recommend Chiopee”

Todd Kramp

This ski hill has gone down hill literally. Their needs to be a change. The kids they hire are not trained for the lifts and really don't care. Today is the best snow Chicopee has had in 2 years or more and they have 1 lift open for the front hills. Hour wait in line. But the lift people are seating one in a quad or 2 every other lift. Every time I have taken my son there it has been a disappointment. This hill used to be so much fun and was always organized and running smoothly. For the cost of being a member, you certainly and quickly regret what you get each year. Poor decisions and poor management. Sell more memberships than the hill or staff can handle. It is a great sport, but having to stand around an hour because they don't care and can't run properly makes you want to quit going. It is a shame, this place was always such a fun place to be. Bring back the midnight madness on Fridays, at least some will get a chance to go down the hill more than 10 times in a whole day. The day use lifts tickets have got to be absolutely disgusted. What a waste of money.

M N B

Took beginner ski lessons for the family a few days ago. The staff at the rentals and booking were very friendly ... however the discover lessons left much to be desired .. If you are beginner you are very much on your own .. with a few pointers given here and there reluctantly .. I would suggest look up youtube for skiing beginners if you do decide to go here .. else it may be a bad learning experience ..

Melissa Truscott

$50 for two people for two hours. The hill was pathetic! Rather drive to the other side of Toronto to go to Lakeridge Ski Hill and atleast have fun! The lady selling tickets didn't know a single thing when I asked her questions. We left after 45 minutes and the staff were smoking weed directly outside the main entrance of the chalet. Won't ever be coming back.

Christopher Roth

The state of the operations and value for your dollar are both so low here, consider alternatives. Expect long line ups, very little service from staff, slow lifts, and an overwhelmed system not properly prepared for loads on peak days. Other notable issues: -lineups for rentals were somewhere between 1-3 hr wait times. Kiss your skiing time goodbye. -Parking lot is so tight that you’ll have to circle and race another person, in the slush, to that open spot two rows over -lineups for lineups (proof of vaccine, lift tickets, the lifts themselves) and poor signage. Photos show the lineups inside and out. -bathrooms are all touch fixtures of every kind, highly out of date and cramped with even a few users at once -Did I mention the lifts are slow and stop constantly? -No children rates so expect to pay $200+ for a family visit -No half day or discounts available, not even a seniors rate? -Night skiing used to start at 5pm, now it’s 2 hours of the worst conditions for 62% of the price -No capacity limits to keep the hill operating smoothly (just pile more people in!) -No ability to pre-purchase lift tickets ahead to time to alleviate lineups

canuck eh

I can't believe the soaring prices with the limited hills and 45 min wait time in line . It's really a rip off people don't waste your money .

Tracy Fadden

Our kids grew up going to Chicopee. Christmas camps and weekends. They were welcoming and wonderful. Now they have decided nonsensically to ban families based on a medical choice when it has been scientifically demonstrated that Covid is not an outdoor risk. Shame on you Chicopee

Ishan Bhavsar

Went skiing here, everyone was friendly and patient with me as I was a new to skiing. They helped me with everything up to getting my gear to teaching me. The lodge was warm and spacious inside and a great place to grab a snack. Really loved the thrill of skiing, would definitely go there if you are a beginner.

Richard B.

The works: Long Waits; Expensive tickets; undermaintained runs; failing lifts, tiny hills; horrid management; horrid gatekeepers. 1 star Ok most of the staff is very nice. + 3 stars Medical apartheid -4 stars. None of the other hills in Canada requests people to be masked on the runs and they are not joking about it. They have NOSE SPOTTERS on the payroll...

Max A

I've really liked this hill for years. Great to teach the kids, and their instructors are the best. I took a star off because they don't ever answer their phones and even on a day which is not busy, wait times for everything is long.

Jeff Eng

This is a good learning hill. It's small and the lines are long, but it's a good local option without having to drive far on a weekly basis for lessons for the kids. There are three lifts and depending on who is working them, often, each chair is not at capacity (i.e. there is only one or two people on the 3- or 4-person chairlift). I get some people may not be comfortable sharing, but that contributes to the long lines. The staff have been kind and helpful, as my daughter was more advanced than her initial group and the instructors had no problems changing her group. We have our own equipment, so I can't speak to the rental experience, but I see the line-ups are often long. There's a small terrain park that the kids enjoy, and which typically has a much shorter line-up. The staff keep some fires going outside, which is a nice way to warm up the hands a bit in-between runs. Again, it's a good hill to learn to ski, but if you're a regular skier, you'll find the runs short and will likely find a better experience elsewhere. Still, it's a good option to spend a day out with the family.

James Clarkson

First time here and first time skiing in many years. Friendly and helpful staff plus the lesson with Alfredo was exactly what we needed. He was very patient both of our limited and different experience. He had us on all the hills before the day was done. Will be back many times.

Jennifer Reid

The directions/signage to get there by public transport are non existent. The correct pin should be at 396 Morrison Road, not the top of the ski hill. My partner and I ended up at Lot 3 and walked a path to the Freestyle Park, which isn't even on their ski lift map. Seeing no signs or staff at the bottom of the hill, we walked to the Google pin at the top of the hill then back down, finding no signs or ski staff. After spending an hour trying to just find the chalet we left without skiing or snowboarding. With COVID-19 and passport checking limiting traffic flow, they should be clear that the only way in for non-members/by public transit is through the Main Parking Lot 1 on Morrison Road. They should say something on their website on how to get there by bus or at the very least answer the phone. I called guest services four times this morning trying to ask about stuff not on their website like whether there are locker rentals and directions to their entrance. I got sent to voicemail four times. They called back 10 minutes after I finally left a voicemail but I was back at the bottom talking to an employee checking vaccine passports by that time. They need more employees and attention to customer service, especially when it comes to helping people plan a trip without taking a car. Their parking lots and slopes were packed with people today. At the rates they charge for such a small hill it's hard to imagine that they don't have the resources to adequately staff the lodge during peak times. Since the first time I went to the resort over 10 years ago, they also haven't improved public transit accessibility which sends a strong message about the values of the park. I'm not impressed and am frustrated with this experience.

Kyle Moxham

Scroll the comments and you'll see a pattern of Liz (director of guest experience) ignoring calls and emails from guest even for wedding bookings. I purchased insurance on my season pass and now am medically unable to ski. I handed in doctor notes, and my season pass. Now I am being ignored! I received one email from Liz saying she was waiting to hear back from my doctor about the provided notes. My doctor has yet to hear from her to this day. Since she has not returned a call or email. I have no pass to use even if I was able, I never received a refund, and still await a response. That has been my guest service experience. Chicopee please look into Liz and the impact she's had on your guests!

Dylan Mccue

It's not bad if it's pretty slow. You get a lot of fast runs in. I'd say about 1.5 mins up, 20-30 seconds down if you're taking your time. The terrain park is pretty solid for the size of the hill.

Chantal Lauzon

Snow was surprisingly good for late season, spring skiing. A beautiful day of skiing complete with a delicious beverage on the lovely patio. Patio has comfortable seating and a great view of ski hill, would be perfect for parents who don't want to ski while their kids do, but still want to keep an eye on them!

Ed Grabasandwich

Great place for cycling. Great views, good workout getting to the summit. Coming back downhill is fun!

Teighan Morris

Operations of this place is a disaster. It took us just under 40 minutes to purchase our pass and there were only two people in front of us. Then we waited about 20 minutes before anyone showed up to the rental equipment area to attend to the lineup. After that it took probably 10-20 minutes to pick out our equipment and get it scanned. Some of the staff were nice - on the other hand I saw some staff yelling at young children for taking off their masks. We are in an outdoor environment over 6ft away from strangers. I also saw a staff member give two parents a hard time over their 3-year-old daughter wearing a harness to ski… even though there were plenty of other children with harnesses. For a beginner like myself, the hills are fine. The issue is the lack of organization and training the employees have. I’m new to the sport but I don’t feel that it’s appropriate to wait over one hour in line buying a ticket and renting equipment before you can even get outside on your snowboard. Plus it was just kind of disappointing to see arguments amongst the employees and customers.

R W

Used to love the place. However greed is killing it. The most expensive hill in Ontario with the least to offer.

Ruben Domingos

Waited 2 hours outdoors to get rental equipment due to covid restrictions. If you plan on going and need rental equipment make sure you get there prior to opening or expect a long wait in the cold. If you just need lift tickets its much quicker. Afterwards it was fine but would have been good to know about the long waits for rentals in advance hence the 3 stars.

Bruce Watson

Best place to learn! Excellent kids learn to ski programs, can’t say enough about the instructors! Friendly, knowledgeable and lots of fun! Highly recommend it.

Lester Christie

Great time, runs were solid and maintained. Definitely understaffed.. too much confusion at the top of the hill -- it was a free-for-all! 25$ bought 2 hours of tubing which amounted to 3 runs down the hill :(

Juliane Jelonek

What a shame that you choose to discriminate and exclude people, who are not comfortable with being injected with an experimental ???? for an outdoor sport. It saddens me to be treated like a second class citizen. Just awful !!!!

Kevin Nguyen

Got the discovery package with my woman, first time on the slopes. Our instructor Bryan was amazing. Amazing experience. Will go again this year

Jessica Hannah

This company is putting infants in danger by requiring them to wear masks even outside. Our government does not require anyone under the age of two to wear masks due to suffocation risk. Do not give them your business. Go to Glen Eden.

michael Fleming

Night ski is from 7pm not 6....got charged a full day price for 3 hours ski...i swish it would start at 6pm instead. It is very costly at 97$ for 2 ski passes for 3 hours of ski

Harry Dost

Great local ski hill for beginners and also intermediate skiers looking to stay in shape for the bigger hills. Nice Chalet with good food options.

Lucia Ruzbarska

Awful experience today. Sunday Febr.4 Tech decided not to show up and nobody else can help to wax my skis. So after I bought my daily pass, I was told too bad too sad but I can rent for additional $33+tax skis for the day. We came to ski all the way from Elmira to teach our 3 year old. We had to pack and leave. Very disappointed in the service.

Keith

Giant tobogganing for a high price. Went once so I can say I've done it. Next time I'll just go sledding with the kids for free, or actual skiing for longer and probably cheaper.

matt oliver

Great spot to spend a couple hours, staff is great but many visitors are just plain selfish and oblivious to common courtesy. Some lines/lanes going up, in queue would be a nice touch.

Melissa H

Deplorable find another facility that.cares about all customers

Benjamin Kukkee

Better value at Snow Valley for the extra drive. Slopes at Chicopee are great for kids, but not nearly as thrilling as Snow Valley. A few safety issues. Not enough brake mats at the end means crashing into sandbags half of the time. The conveyor belt is not long enough. You walk halfway up the hill before you reach the conveyor belt. Snow Valley tows you up as you sit on your tube from the bottom of the hill. Tubes are dirty and have "Pepsi" advertising on them. Floors are dirty in common areas. Double the price, half the value. The 2 hour limit is lame, but you'll be so bored you'll want to leave anyway. Good things include great for young kids, you can go down the hill 3 at a time and location. Disappointed, won't be returning. My 10 year old niece liked it. My calves feel stronger with all of the extra walking. Maybe I can start my career as a calve model. Vogue, here I come!

Lindsay Cooper

To many people waited long time in line just to get tickets. They need to have a limit for how many people can be there. Oh and parking horrible nowhere people were on top of each other. My family and I will not go there again to much money for going down 3 times in 2 hours. Food they ran out

Anna Sanina

Perfect for learning to ski, the Tenderfoot slope is just right for beginners. The facilities are also quite good. The staff at the rental were very polite and helpful. It's wonderful to have such great skiing facilities right in town. We will be coming here again.

Aaron Watt

Very poorly organized, couple of the staff were fairly rude. I get it's a weird year, but to book lessons ad that doesn't guarantee your ski lift pass Is just outrageous. My kids had lessons at 7pm (the start of night skiing) and then I was told I can't buy their lift pass until 655 when there is 100 people in line.. I was there waiting 1.5 hours early (as per their recommendation) and had to wait till 5 min before their lesson to buy the night pass.. One positive is that the instructor was very nice and the kids really enjoyed their skiing lesson experience..

Chris Brown

Tubing was sooooo much fun. Would definitely go again.! Just a suggestion. Can you use candy floss at the bottom to slow us down instead if straw...?

Michael

Better than I thought. We spent 3 hours there (wagjag) It was enough We packed lots of snacks and ate them in the Chalet (upstairs) Prepare to do some walking to the belt system (takes you up the hill)....

Lisa Sneesa

Yes, it's a small ski hill - but it's still lots of fun. It's pretty sweet that we have a ski hill right here in the city. We went a number of times over March break in the evening. No lineups! Conditions were great and their Discovery pass is an awesome deal. Rentals are good quality. If you're thinking about getting into skiing or want your kids to learn this is a great place to do so. Staff are friendly. We had a meal upstairs and while expensive, it was good and we had a nice view of the hill. Had a salad with lovely fresh greens and my son enjoyed his burger.

Jen Bell

Thankful that a staff member answered the phone after hours so we could retrieve a forgotten backpack that contained crucial diabetes supplies. ????????????????

Rick Lane

Great family ski area for all ages to enjoy the winter ski and boarding season. Plenty of parking and chalet facilities for breaks with the family. However pricing could bring more families out if it was more affordable. Something for the executive to thing about...ps also making it more affordable for use seniors who can still handle the slopes. LANER 1 KITCHENER

Nate Hawkins

Have enjoyed going to Chicopee for the past 3 years to teach my kids how to ski. Great hills for beginners. Sadly this year Chicopee chose to discriminate against those making a personal medical choice to not get a vaccine. Get Covid-19 on the slopes? Give me a break! Well Chicopee made their choice to discriminate and I’ll make mine, never again will I go here.

Mike Gr

Brutal experience, better to make the drive up north ????

Josh Weston

Very disappointed in the choices they've made this season with their choice to discriminate. We have been going to this ski hill for years and I hope they change this policy.

Kate Wilson

Hills were very well maintained, and staff were very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable

Tracy Reid

The hills are great! Had a lot of fun with my 4 yr old. The food is just ok. Typical cafeteria style stuff.

Paul Wilkinson

Great spot to spend the day!!! Staff was extremely helpful. I don’t ski much and it’s not like ridding a bike!!! Just glad I was able to make it home with no injuries other than bruised ego!!!

M SC

great little hill located within a city. Just wish they would cater lift ticket pricing to those that only want to ski a couple of hours. The ticket options have really deterred my family and I from going more often.

Reyhane Ostadian

There is no reservation here and you need to stay in line to get your lift ticket and rental equipment. We went early in the morning so we didn’t spend much in the line. The place was busy but staff kept reminding people to follow physical distancing rules. Overall I had a great experience there for my first time! Also, there is a cafe there to buy food & drinks.

Jim Vanderwiel

For a small hill, its a big hill. Usually very well maintained, and looks good for night skiing. Crowds are fairly well managed at the lifts. To get anything better you are looking at a 2+ hour drive.

Aidan Keogh

Went for the zipline and had a great experience. All the staff we encountered were knowledgeable, professional and friendly. The zipline itself was a blast and my 5 year old enjoyed the other activities.

Tony S

This probably isn't the review you're thinking it should be, because I haven't skied in years. But I really enjoy hiking, and there is a forest at Chicopee that has quite a few trails in there, mostly for trail bike riding. But since it is the depths of winter right now, I had the trails all to me and my feet. Great, well marked trails. Beautiful scenery as it was a forest with freshly fallen snow - can't beat that! Really enjoyed myself.

Andrew Laidlaw

Great place to go tubing. Staff was very friendly. Clean facility.

M&K Fabiao

Worst ski hill in Ontario. Completely unorganized, no pre booking online, waiting in line to verify vaccination status when it’s not required to ski. Both of these things lead to a line that’s over an hour long on a Sunday. Try that with three kids aged 3-8 with all your gear and a parking lot that’s a disaster. Then they just over pack the hill to the point that you literally wait 20 mins to go down a 30 second hill. Oh and don’t bother with the $80 plus lift ticket private lesson for a 5 year old who got 3 runs in during the lesson. It’s an absolute joke! If you need something close Glen Eden is much better but just drive a bit more and hit Horseshoe, or Blue. This place is amateur hour at its finest.

Alma CK

Oddly enough, they do not have the technology to electronically sign rental waivers. If you’re out of town while your child is under 18 visiting friends or family without you at Chicopee, your child will not be able to do anything here. I give them 0/5 stars for being in the stone ages.
