" Port Dover Golf Club is an 18 hole championship course that caters to members and public play." NO you don't! my friends and I were immediately told that we weren't in proper "collared tees and that we didn't look the part" and after two strokes on hole one were told that the club wanted us to leave , they then explained we were taking too long after being there less than ten minutes. Not only were the staff very condescending and rude; their greens and fairways were not well maintained with yellow straw grass over most of the course way.. and just a heads up none of the "rules for attire" were on the website or were told to us when we called to book our tee time

Nice course, very disappointed in pace of play, had a marshal driving around but that was all he was doing, after taking 3.5 hours to play 14 holes we left, guy in pro shop had personality of a stop sign, tried twice to engage all he wanted was your money. Expensive for the time of year .

Very attractive course, really nice staff, course is in very good shape and improvements being done on an ongoing basis......lovely patio area and really good food.

Love the course, and most of the staff, but it's hard to give a good rating when you have a twosome, and two fivesomes ahead, and the twosome can't keep up to the fivesomes. All while the marshalls keep driving by, not doing anything. Not impressed to say the least.

It will be a 5 star soon. They are doing great work on the course. Lay out is forgiving. Staff is very friendly with a great patio for socializing after your round.

This is a great golf course in the area. It's very well maintained and staff are very friendly. There is a fair bit of water and sand traps to avoid but the fairways and rough are all pretty forgiving if you don't make a great shot. I've been here three times and I'll be back again.

Great layout. Fare ways are nicely kept. Tee boxes are also well maintained. Price is very reasonable. A great day to be had.

greens and tee blocks in really good shape lots of work being done in middle of most fairways. grounds crew not moving out of way and interrupting game about 50 percent of game and they woukd not move as we asked them to move but they wanted us to hit over top of them. I went to front desk to ask for replay as this way really bad and distracting. person at front desk really rude and would not let us replay as "it was like this yesterday as well and it's it's bad and just play thru them and I understand you pay good money but we pay good money for them to be here too" would not recommend this course as management is poor and rolling eyes at me as I came in advising I was not happy with grounds crew.

Reasonably priced, relatively fair setup, reasonably maintain although room for lots of improvements, lots of rough bouncing spots including cart paths which isn't necessary. Were were behind a group of 7 and we're not offered a play through. Shouldn't have been allowed anyway. When we went back to play a hole we missed we were admonished. The group of 7 weren't.

Played this course on September 13th and it was in excellent condition. The staff were great and the portion of the clubhouse I saw was in excellent shape as well. I'd give it 5 stars if the pace of play wasn't so bad. The front 9 took 2.5 hrs. Not bad. I can't give an accurate time for the back 9 because my wife and I quit after the 14th hole. There were 3 groups on the 15th. 2 waiting on the tee block and 1 in the fairway. Fix that issue and this course would've totally been worth the 1hr 20min drive.

Five star rating!!!! This is not because it is perfect.....this is because everytime I play this course it is getting better and better!!! JOhn Cormier and his team know golf! They are making improvements in all the right areas! Greens are awesome and CONSISTENT! Fairways are coming beautifully, the new teeboxes are outstanding. The. Driving range deck is going to be outstanding and the practice green is coming along beautifully. Pace of play was terrific (4 hours). Quality of food was good and the CartGirl was outstanding. If I lived in the area I would become a member for sure! They are following Covid-19 protocols established by the government and I personally applaud them for it....so everyone be nice......they are just trying to protect you! Well done John and team and I look forward to the next time! Will also try to get down and watch the Southern Ontario Open in a couple of weeks!

Nice coarse to play, played here a dozen times this year. But youll be waiting 5-10 minutes a hole every time you go here. 6 hour game and only got done 16 before it got dark last time i was here on the 2nd of October

I played 9 holes yesterday with 7 friends from Dover Coast community. The course is in excellent condition and I thank you for cutting the rough a little shorter. Never lost 1 ball.

Very nice mature course. Reasonably easy to walk with a few hills. Greens are good. Fairways are a little tight but a good challenge if your off the edge. Very good value.

Great course for any golfer. Some challenging holes and some birdie holes make fun to play. Course is in real good shape and well maintained expecially the greens and tees. The staff is friendly and very welcoming. Well worth the drive. Definitely going back as much as possible.

I am so impressed with the improvements to this classic older Golf Course...The new Owners ( John Cormier and wife Rana) have put a very friendly Team together. Many Capital improvements over the last two years. Brand new Patio and Putting green. Some new T boxes as well. The chef and her Team produce great pub style food that you want at a Golf course. The course now hosts Pro type tournaments...ie Southern Ontario Open...The layout if fair and challenging...enough T boxes to fit your handicap...Port Dover Golf Club will dominate the Lake Erie Resort area. Congratulations Mr & Mrs Cormier on investing in this hidden gem...Gene Roe
