As you can see it reaches an feddbacks average is quite positive, and it's founded on a large number of opinions, so we can say that the assessment is quite accurate. If people have bothered to leave their opinion when they are pleased, it works.
As you know, we don't usually bother to give scores when these are correct and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or issue...
This Golf belongs to the category of Golf club.
Nice enough, but the train track running through the course and the power lines can be a distraction
Best affordable course, well maintained friendly staff too. Literally a gem. Love this place, it's my go to. Well done for being able to take such good care and keep things affordable.
Decent views and relatively well maintained. Downside are the hydro poles criss-crossing the course emitting unnerving buzzing noises. The wires are also low enough to hit which has happened. The train also crosses the course and makes quite a din as it does.
Have to give this place only two stars for a few reasons - no halfway house to grab anything when you pass 9 -way over priced, I mean come on $90 for this quality of course is ridiculous -poorly maintained bunkers and fairways, greens were decent though
Beautiful course. Great for beginners.
Nice. Play the valley course but be prepared to climb some hills
Not bad condition for my first round this year
The creeks are deep and wide, especially when your bag rolls in - Doh !
Fantastic day at Remington Club. Played the Valley course. Challenging and amusing layout. Greens were excellent speed and undulating challenge. Staff was professional, excellent and pleasant. Great day and will be playing again soon. Get out there and play. :)
Consistently great place, greens and staff are always on point, from the club desk, restaurant staff & food, the beer cart ladies and marshalls.
Always a great time and the staff is awesome.
Great condition. Been there last Saturday.
Decent challenge for public golf course. Greens are a little slow and the fairways are not in the best of shape.
Two 18 hole courses. Upper and Valley. Driving range and full club house with change room. Great fall rates which includes cart.
Convenient location, not that challenge for both courses, good for a quick game.
Great course, I played here twice and defeninitly will return.
The Valley course provides a good challenge for all levels of golf. Nicely equipped club house with food and beverages.
Well the front 9 was acceptable for sure. Good pace and no waiting. Now the back 9 was dumped with far too many players and NO Marshall. The wait per hole was clicking 30 minutes and I don't know about you but that just isn't my idea of weekday golf. I won't be back.
First time golfing in March!! Great to be out again
First I called and asked for T-times and got one for 12:15pm, I asked for 9 holes with a cart they said YES. When I got there with a first timer they charged us 162 for 9 holes and a cart-that is just crazy. I've went to pro courses for 80 per person for 18 with a cart. So i paid for my date not realizing the price and rented her clubs for an extra $20 so it cost 182 for the 9 holes and a cart. After I left I realized they must have double charged me so I called back. apparently they only charge for 18 holes there (said yes to my 9 but still charged me for 18, very sleazy), If they reach back out to me and offer me some free passes cause that was rediculous to tell me yes before I drove all the way there, then i will remove this post because it possibly may have been multiple honest mistakes. Even when i handed back the rented clubs like 1 hour and 50 minutes in (we were playing best ball obviously) no one said anything like. Ohh you paid for 18 btw... right now just seems sleazy, I hope they reach out to me to get this figured out.
This place should be called Powerline Parkview, 4 holes on the golf course don’t have Powerline interference.
Good late season golf. Greens in excellent condition and very fast. Limited bar and food. Played Valley course.
If you hate helmet courses, do not play this one; I do not know if I have heard more people yell four then when I played this course. The greens were in great shape but the rest of the course was terrible. Most of the course was dead yellow grass and the bunkers were hard as rock. On the plus side, if you like to golf in sleeveless shirts, this is the course for you. Will not be coming back.
Love it, except when Joey A who shoots 130 from the tips is there..and my round is 2hours longer than it should be. Smooth 114? Good lord Joey.
Beautiful course, highly recommend for golf enthusiasts.
We had our office Golf Tournament here and plan to come back every year. I have never experienced such INCREDIBLE customer service before. The course was so unique and stunning. The food was delicious and we all had an amazing time. Highly recommend this place.
Had a nice day at Remington with a buddy. Fairways were in a bit of rough shape for sure. They've clearly had some issues. Probably a bit expensive for what you get. Hydro poles and lines added to the unique flavour of the Upper track. Overall in a pinch, it's an OK place for a round.
Absolutely great courses staff are wonderful treat customer like a member. My friends and I love playing golf here keep up the terrific job.
Staff was great but the course was in rough shape. I gave 4 stars as I had a great day there but I would hope they fix the course up before they open next year.
Play is good. The green is better than I remember
Great course. Very enjoyable. Twilight price very reasonable on golfnow.
Great course
Really nice event space. Staff is efficient and unobtrusive. Food is decent. Lots of parking.
The course was still very soft but this is expected this early on in the season. Management was friendly and necessarily strict with start times, which I appreciated.
Played here several times over the years. Two courses are on offer: the upper and the valley. The upper course is relatively easy and beginner friendly. A lot of open fairways without too much trouble on the left and right. The valley is a …
Reasonably priced with 2 18 hole golf courses. The course is good for beginner and intermediate players. There are weekday specials if you tee off after 5pm.
The course was in great shape and the train traffic added to the aura of the place. The pace of play on the front nine was a tad slow, but we were wide open on the back. The upper course is relatively wide open and caters to my slice.
Okay Course that will make you utilize most of your clubs....would be better if not for the hydro lines and towers throughout the course.
Fairways on the valley course were a little beaten up when we played. They have been pushing a high volume thru so that might have something to do with it
Course and greens are in good shape. Relatively cheap for good golf
Great golf course. Really nice people working there . The staff are fantastic!!!!
Beautiful fall surroundings!!! Great course. Easy to walk. Hit some long balls. (310+) Will be coming back next year no doubt. Maybe even this month ???? Broke 90 by playing my balls in the wrong fairway... I will take it. Not alot of forests which makes the ball easy to find; and also makes for a better and quicker round for the moderate golfer. I don't see advanced players playing here... Greens were great shape...wish I had more putts go in but that's not Remingtons fault aha... That's mine. Five star rating no doubt.
Well taken care of golf place. Very efficiently run.
Played the Valley course, was tough, especially some of the dog leg holes, but still enjoyable
Great course and decent food. Prices were perfect
Staff are well organized and course in good shape
Great Golf Course ... Two different 18 holes ... Nice staff
2 solid courses for the price. Just be weary of the electric towers since those do get in the way on certain holes.
Great Track two courses to choose from
Course was in horrible shape , was hard to find any grass on the tees 11 hole on the vally course had to tee up on dirt fairways were in bad shape. The golf carts were older then me and I'm 61 not worth the money at all.
I really enjoy this course. It's a perfect course for the beginning of the season to take some rust off. Very forgiving.
Great day on the course, greens could have been a little cleaner.
Me and golf group's go to course. Staff are always amazing and welcoming. Rates are good
Nice, well kept course. Only problem is..pace of play. You will be really lucky if you are able to finish your round under 5 hours. I see marshals all the time but they don't seem to push the slow golfers. Not good.
Greens in great shape and pace of play was quick.
This course is too noisy with the trains, hydro poles and it's not cheap. The old marshal was very rude while I took an important call for few minutes. He should be rushing the group ahead of us instead! In addition to that, I had my other 3 players move ahead and take their strokes.
Great course, great staff.
Good value for the money. Some tees need some work.
A golfing buddy and I have been coming to Remington Parkview Golf and Country Club, on a regular basis, for at least 20 years. For the most part we play the valley. The course is well maintained, picturesque (at times you forget you're in Markham), challenging and well priced ($70 with cart). If your a golfer residing in the east GTA I highly recommend your play a round at Remington Parkview Golf and Country Club.
Great easy par 71 course. Most holes are straight and forgiving. Best for beginners or those going for fun.
Now I'm no expert of golf, but sure enjoyed my time here.
Very fun course with differing elevations. Power lines are a pain in the middle of the course.
This was my first time playing the upper course. The course was in generally good condition. The fairways are open and very forgiving. Be aware of the powerlines as they come into play as an air hazard for a few of the holes. We paid $75 walking and it was pricey for this course hence my 3 Star rating on value. We ate at the club house after our round and the service from Rey was friendly and excellent. 5 states for Rey. The food was good and served quickly. Overall a great day.
Good course. I favour the valley course as it is more interesting. The upper course is pretty flat and repetitive.
Nice course. Horrible pace of play
Staff are helpful and flexible. I much prefer the Valley course. Great twilight rates.
Beautifully kept grounds and all amenities. Great for a game with anyone of any skill set.
Very nice golf course good value for the price. If you play the upper course though there is quite a few hydro pools and wires in the web. Kind of strange if you ask me. But still a good course for the price. Of course rules are if you hit the hydro wires you get a free shot over
Pretty good course...for groups. They're very accommodating. Club house, amenities, restaurant very clean and professional.
Played the Upper course this morning and we were very disappointed with course conditions. Fairways had a lot of lawn damage as if there was a grub problem on many holes and you can smell the insecticide on holes 16-18. Oh, the bunkers were not raked by the course the night before as there were so many foot prints. One can blame Covid but most places rake 1st thing before first tee time, don't they? Greens were in ok shape but for $72, this course needs to step it UP!
If you barely play golf, this place is fine. If you care about course conditions at all, this will sum up your experience: - It's very overpriced for how poor the conditions are. - There is no difference between the fairway and the rough (they are the same terrain) - A train is constantly passing through the course and very loud - Every hole is the exact same layout - Every hole is right beside each other so expect people to frequently be playing from your fairway and vice versa
Nice long straight drives but narrow compact course. Well maintained, but layout with power lines and brand new housing development all though out the course. Pricey in my opinion but close to the city which is why I think they charge a premium
Always love it here. A bit far to travel from Mississauga, but thank God for the #407. Valley course is shorter and more technical and stunningly beautiful. Upper course is longer with more electrical lines, but still fun. Bonus is the course rule that gives a FREE re-do if you hit any electrical lines or towers. And they carry RED cans of Mott's Caesars. Smart.
Valley is really nice 5/5, nice turns, shots over water features. Fun course. Upper is garbage and the same price 1/5. Nothing but straight aways, sand traps full of weeds, grass is like straw. Not to mention it’s beside a dust bowl construction site.
Very good amateur golf course.
Good price nice course but could use some TLC
A wonderful golf club with beautiful courses, especially in the Valley. The courses are kept well, are fairly tricky (so a good game) and look beautiful in the fall. The only drawback is that with the cart it can be a bit pricey, and there's a train track going through the course, which can get a bit loud sometimes and just annoying.
Great golf on the Valley course!
Parkview is a staple, over priced at times but location is primo.
Very well kept grounds . Great course.
Well-maintained and nice layout. Upper course is good for novices and beginners. Some minor drawbacks with pace of play and obstructions (train tracks / power lines) but overall a nice little course!
Very reasonable prices. Two 18-hole courses to offer to provide challenge to golfers of all skills. Staff are friendly and helpful. On course washrooms and beverages and snack pick up are available.
Well run course in great shape. Played there a few times over the years. Fair course but does have some sharp doglegs.
Played the Upper course and had a great time. Well-paced and challenging distance. Can't wait to play again!
Pretty nice golf course. Well maintained. Valley course is pretty fun.
Twilight is always a good value. Course was in good shape considering massive amounts of rain lately - just a few puddled areas. Tee areas need some work - especially the short downhill par three in the valley - hitting off a mat is not a good solution.
There are two sets of 18 holes; The Upper and The Valley. The upper is longer and okay. The valley is way more picturesque, tighter, shorter and requires more strategic play. My biggest issue with the coarse is that the 9th holes don't bring you back to the clubhouse. Not a huge issue but feels odd somehow.
The course is in absolutely horrific condition. They are charging full price and not telling the customer how bad it is when booking. And the carts are in desperate need of being replaced. The worst course I've played all summer for the most money I've paid all summer.
It's nicer place if there was no high electrical towers.
Some electrical wires over the course but otherwise a decent spot to play. Two courses valley and upper.
Very average, not the best…
Fun course with two very different 18s. Upper (to me) feels a bit more challenging, though it is a much flatter 18 with quite a few trees. The Valley course is much more scenic, and provides an all-around more enjoyable round of golf.
Valley course was really nice. Great elevation changes and well kept
Fields are well maintained and the greens are fantastic. Thanks Tyler and Mike for the great hospitality and service.
Good Course. Played a scramble tournament that was very well organized and run. staff were helpful and friendly. good food as well
Great value using their package deal of 20 rounds get 5 more free. Valley a fun 18 holes.
Not very relaxing atmosphere as there is a rail track crossing the field with active traffic of cargo trains, also there is a market plaza behind the fence that for some reason too noisy. Other than that it is fine place
Nicely kept course, clean and well laid out
Super tight as in each hole and fairway are on top of each other. You don't hit a perfect shot and you'll be in someone else's fairway.
Loved the course with great holes on it. Would like to see more par 3s on the back 9 but apart from that it was great. Friendly staff too
It's a nice course that's not too far from the city. The power lines are a little annoying of your ball ever deflects off one of the lines. Other than that, it's a pretty well maintained solid course with some long fairways.
Amazing guys in the.Pro Shop!
Tight fairways and very challenging.
A local go to in the area. Both courses (Upper and Valley) is fun and is an easily walkable round.
Layout is bad. each hole is right beside each other and it’s hard to find your own fairway. You’ll hear fore a lot in this course.
Horrible place to play golf. Zero maintenance. Tee boxes full of holes. Fairways are brown with no grass and greens full of divots. Don't forget hydro poles and wires everywhere.
Been playing the upper course for a few years, and finally tried the valley course. Even on a very busy day i never felt too rushed. The starter and staff were very friendly and courteous. Decent abeit alittle high pricing, but a somewhat challenging course none the less. Glad theres a course like this so close to home!
Great course for the price. Reasonable... Helpful staff.
Good value and pretty decent golf course
I told a course marshall l that a twosome of young kids jumped up in front of us and started slowing down the pace on the 12th hole. He did f all. By the 14th, they jumped onto the 1st on the valley. Was on pace for a real good time for a round but got slowed down completely.
1st time playing there. Greens rolled true and were in good shape. Can't say the same for the fairways...way too many dead spots.
Choice of two courses. Fairways are well maintained and both are good value for the money.
It's okay. Power lines get in the way on the north course. Friendly staff, not a particularly challenging course
Nice course, not too far out the city, would defiantly recommend!
so mean to new players, also discriminate against Chinese. $100 for two hours, ridiculous price for this poor condition field. Kicking us out because of “breaking their rules” which never mentioned before. I would like to give a negative star score if there is an option.
I’m really not sure how this place gets away with charging $100 with a barely working cart to play something similar to the farm lands that surround it. Atleast the farms don’t have hydro wires passing through.
valley course very fun with lots of challenging holes
Sweet golf course and a nice experience over all. Staff were super friendly and all around customer service oriented. At one point we had a Marshall drive towards us and ask if we had found a 4 iron. I observed him continue on to probably ask other golfers behind us. Never even thought to use or ask them to help me out if I had forgot a club behind. Pretty cool. We did the Upper Course and because of the adjacent holes you don’t really lose any golf balls if you go wide. I’d definitely go back again.
Love the valley course. But... a typical round here is 5 plus hours!! Its ridiculous. Yes. There are slow golfers out there but when you and everyone around you is waiting at every hole then it can only be one thing... the course is over booked. Poor management. That's all. Show up late? Sure we'll squeeze you in no problem. Let's get as much golfers out there and make it an enjoyable round for everyone. We all love watching a golf course more than playing it.
Valley course layout is good. Some fairway is poor condition.
Called in advance to ask about frost delay, they told me they was no delay. Drive 2 hours to find 100 people standing near the tee box waiting. Wasted time and money.
Nice and friendly staff
5 hour round and waiting 15 minutes multiple times on the tee box. Spoke with the Marshall a few times who felt bad about this and was trying to speed things up. Worst part is the general manager refused to do anything useful about this. Played about 8 times this summer, there won't be a 9th.
The tee boxes are all mud
Close in city. Rates bit high and over booked most times. Course in great shape tho
Best the rain and had a great morning golfing!
Lost a club but they found it for me????
great value for your money on the valley course.
Staff is professional and courteous. They were very accommodating and helpful when I brought my kids out to play with me.
One of my better golfing experience for 2020. The Upper Course is in great shape, Pace of play was outstanding and at a decent price for Seniors.Friendky Staff in …
Remington has 2 courses, Upper and Valley. The Upper course is very straightforward with wide open fairways and each one is fairly straight. The Valley is great for a challenge as each hole offers a good challenge. Would recommend for all golfers.
For a public course, this course exceeded expectations (Valley Course). Very scenic with some challenging holes. Overall well manicured and they didn't group us close together with other groups so it didn't feel rushed. Overall very good experience.
Played here at the end of the heat wave we had this summer. The fairways were so rock hard that a high tee shot would land in the center of the fairway and bounce for 30 to 40 yards off into the fescue or OB. The rough was shorter than the fairway and even harder: even if there was 30 yards of rough next to the fairway it would roll right through it. Even on a high 6 iron off of the tee. It was incredibly frustrating. The slope from the blues is 110 but with the inability to hold a fairway made it more like 140. May start a go-fund-me to get this place some water, and some sand for their bunkers.
Sorry the 3 star rating was because the putting greens were quite thick, and on several holes there were a lot of debris, greens were not in good shape especially coming upon fall. I have played this course a few times now and I will have …
Club didn't have a cart or trolley. They are not prepared to service clients on busy sunny days. Drove all the way from Ancaster and was very disappointed. Cashier didn't even bother to ask if they can do anything. Don't think owners cares much about customer service. They are over booking and doesn't have the means to take care of all bookings.
I went with a small group of friends and took advantage of a $32 walking twilight deal they had. we managed to get in 14 holes with a 6 pm tee off. i was really surprised by the quality of the course and its geography, i feel like i got more out of it than what i paid for it!
Great location... Excellent club house facility. Good golf course, for a public one. Can be challenging, especially the lower course.
The green still in good shape with nice course layout; but too crowded with some no manner amateur. They just hit balls to the group in front of them, when people still on the fairway, and waiting to hit their 2nd shot. What a nightmare if someone gets hurt because of this ridiculous people
Great staff .. Course is in good shape..fun to play in the afternoon..
A beautiful golf course with a stunning view off the 2nd overlooking the valley. Shot 85 and found the back 9 more forgiveable!
Upper couses great walking course . Excellent staff.
Good course with reasonable rates. The Valley is fun, the upper is flat and open.
We came to this course with a tee time booked but somehow the time did not get booked. They got us out just the same and they were super busy. They turned a potentially contentious situation into a pleasant one. The manager who was checking in everyone at the door due to covid 19 protocol was extremely helpful and gracious. Thanks for getting us out cheers Carlo
I have played twice in last few weeks. Very disappointing with the starter squeeze people in and let people jumping with a late t-time to go ahead. Late start time, waited more than half hours from t-time and also each hole have to wait …
2 great courses. A bit expensive but worth the money. You truly get what you paid for. Definitely a great challenge too!
Played the valley course. Mixed feelings on this one. A couple of the holes are pretty stunning, others, you tee off beside a powerline. Some of the greens were in very rough shape as well. Not really worth the price in my opinion, but a decent course.
Great Valley course, greens played well and the maintenance was amazing.
Decent course in the heart of the city. A little pricey compared to some nearby alternatives but has two courses to choose from. One downside to this course is the random power lines on some holes. Not the most visually pleasing course.
Poor grass and very hard rough
Price seemed to be a tad on the high side given their extremely boring layout (Upper course) and conditions. Powerline and freight train track winds through the whole course. Very easy for beginners though. I usually shoot 130+ and play from the tips. Shot a smooth 114 there last time.
Good value for money.
Paid $92 per person with a cart on a Sunday afternoon. The worst course in the area by far. Dry, dry dry. Fairways are awful, with patches of uncut grass that are like rough. Course is worth $30 per round not $92. Don’t play here for full price.
Course is good, not great. Train can be annoying when crossing over holes
They have done a nice job with the course but the starter was totally confused and the marshall (same guy) did NOT do anything when the foursome in front of my twosome did not wave us through at any point in a five hour round despite there being two or three empty holes in front of them. Will not return to this course.
Very bad course. Very little maintenance, electrical lines in the way.
Played the Valley course. Greens were in good shape and so were the fairways. Some tee boxes were a little hard, but for the price, nothing to complain about. Pace of play was good. Best bang for my buck that I've played this year.
The valley course was nice, great scenery and good food! Will be back for sure!
Bought a single cart for the round. On hole 3, the golf cart died. We got a replacement on hole 8. The second cart died a few holes later. Multiple groups of members who passed us, indicated that this was a common occurrence at the golf club. On the final hole (18), the course Marshall, Joe, demanded we return the cart keys to him, in an extremely rude and agressive manner. He then implied that the carts never die, and that we were the issue why the carts had stopped working. Someone from management should speak to him about the manner in which he interacts with customers. The course did not offer a refund, instead they gave me course credit - although I have no intention of ever returning. Beers/drinks are very overpriced. $7 for a regular sized can (355 ml), instead of tall cans you would get elsewhere. Course was in decent shape - no complaints. NOT worth your $60 fee to play a round!
Great course. Really enjoyed the valley course over the upper course.
Nice course had lots of fun. I played the valley course.
Played the Valley and the course conditions on several holes were brutal. Fairways, and tee boxes were totally destroyed. You can tell there was no effort in maintenance. They should close for the season.
Nice course. It was well taken care of. Will be going back
Great and friendly staff. I love the Valley, the lay out is really designed for everyone, whether you're a beginner or low handicap.
Played the Upper course. It's the longer track of the two courses but still plays short from the tips at 6200yrs. Greens are spongy soft and roll slow but are in good condition. Fairways are decent. It is a good course, would not be my first choice but I would play this course again but at twilight rates.
Played here on Father's day 2020. Grass everywhere is completely burnt and hard as rock. Balls were bouncing 15-20 yards after hitting the green or fairway. For the money, you could go elsewhere and have a better experience.
Great course...enjoyable and staff always nice!!
Decent course if you like playing golf for 6 hours.
Course is in good shape, greens are as expected. 4 hour round!
Staff were great, course was in good condition - and no hold ups at any hole. Very enjoyable day.
The upper course is good for walking and practicing.
