A cozy and tranquil Czech diner in the heart of a lush Scarborough park. The beautiful patio has full park view overlooking the grass meadow and woods beyond. The meal is classic and delicious, and we enjoyed the grapefruit radler and Czech Pilsner. Definitely recommended.

Had dinner here today in the patio and was extremely disturbed by the service of the manager that was not provided. The two servers who helped us was extremely friendly and great but an umbrella completely fell onto my aunt’s back which shattered a glass. The servers did their best to help the situation but we were given absolutely zero compensation for the situation and the manager did not even try to communicate with us though she was walking up to every single table. This feels extremely like racial profiling as we were the only group of minorities in the restaurant at the time. We tried to switch tables and when we did this was the only time the manager approached us in order to inform us that we cannot sit there as it is reserved, there was nothing on the table indicating this. I am extremely disappointed and uncomfortable at what occurred during the dinner. We still ate and continued because we are not the type of people to make a scene but the manager was so extremely unpleasant and i would not recommend this restaurant for that reason. especially for minorities which is very concerning due to the location of the restaurant which is high in minorities.

Sunday Dinner - Place wasn't busy so there was a space available to sit anywhere however when asked if we could sit at a table that was in the shade on the patio, we were denied since we were a party of 2 and they wanted to give a reservation coming in 20 minutes the choice to choose that seat since they had a larger group. So I had to make due with a second choice. Turns out the party that came decided to seat indoors and didn't use the table I requested.. Strike 1, Preference should be give to the first come especially when the whole restaurant is empty.. come on. Strike 2 was when I ordered the Pork Hock and they confused it with a pork loin dinner, even after the server confirmed with me that the pork hock has a lot of fat - Strike 3, later the server implied that the mix up was my fault! Pork Loin doesn't have as much fat as a Pork Hock!! BTW, don't ORDER THE PORK HOCK, terrible. However my partner ordered the schnitzel and I have to say it was fantastic! I'm sure their Hungarian meals are equally good but STAY AWAY FROM THE PORK HOCK - should be removed from the menu unless they step it up...A LOT. All in all I was disappointed in the service, especially since it wasn't busy and I didn't like the attitude towards my request to change seats or to their mess up with my dinner. This is the first time I have ever posted a complaint but I felt it was necessary - hopefully this will be read and taken into consideration to improve their service - Or maybe they don't give a Sh!t.

The atmosphere is incredible, the prices are fair and the portions are just enough. food has that 'homemade' vibe, and trying the Schnitzels is a must. They have a variety and they are prepared at the moment. The view of the golf course is really unique, definitely worth to check the patio - the perfect spot for a birthday or a special occasion.

Normally we would rate this restaurant 4 out of 5, but not tonight. The food was good, but the hostess was extremely rude to us and are not accommodating to the seating on the pattio. The seats we had were indoor chairs and are sticky due to the weather and cleaning and not were not located where we would have liked to sat. We Spoke to the owner when we left, she told us the are cushions for the chairs (never offered) and they are trying to get the most people possible on the patio due to a heavy reservations. Not the response you were expect from the owner. I quess its profits over customer services right now. Please be aware, we hope this changes soon. We always enjoyed the restaurant in the past. One of the most beautiful restaurant on town, Prague restaurant is simply the best out there, whether you're enjoying a night out or quick visit this restuarant is my favorite. Has a scenery like no other here are some pictures to help you out. The view is amazing and it sits in a quite land, no traffic no downtown noise nothing. A great restuarant to enjoy with you're loved once. Food is out of this world, the services is excellent, prices are fair. The art work on the restaurant walls including the gents washroom is a perfect fit for the golf course that the restaurant sits. Just beauty as is best. 10/10 highly recommended.

I really wanted to give this restaurant more because the service is fantastic and super friendly. Other than that one other positive thing are the crepes, super delicious. Now to the negative things: the decor, to say the least is VERY dated, it would be considered dated even back in Eastern Europe, it felt like being in a restaurant from the last century, but not in a good vintage or bohemian way. The food is overpriced for the portions you get and it is just decent, nothing exceptional (except for the crepes which, again, were amazing) Poor wine selection and a couple of Czech beers on draft (but it would have been bad if they did not have even Czech beer in a Czech restaurant). Location is set in the Scarborough Golf Club so not very close nor convenient if you come from downtown but the setting on a sunny day on their patio must be pretty. To add to the sadness of the decor was the fact that the place is big and on a Friday night it was pretty empty. A real pity.

???? i threw a party here a yr ago for 100 people. it was a disaster. i ordered salad, chicken with gravy and potatoes then for the dessert crepe with ice cream on top and berries on the side. during the food tasting everything is good the food was well presented. BUT, couple of days before the event they said their freezer is broken. so they can't cater the ice cream. they said they will work on it maybe just change the dessert. but they did not. they gave us crepe with grapes on top instead of berries which what they gave us during the food tasting. also, the crepe was thick! it is like they hurried to make it that they dont care if it will taste like crepe or what. they put few gravy on the chicken. and they did not even give water to the people. they just put the pitcher of water in their bar no ice on it. the waitresses did not roam around to fill the glasses of the people. the guest has to go to the bar to ask for water. it was ridiculously stupid. when we booked the place we did not include the pop in the per head that we are going to pay so i am thinking that they did not give the people some water on purpose so that they will just order a drink from them. the service is very bad. i will not recommend this place to anyone for a party. the view is good tho! thats all it. i was so upset that i cant forget what they did. ☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️

Great atmosphere and friendly service. There's a patio that overlooks the beautiful landscape of the Highland Creek park. Food is excellent and great value for the price, the menu spans the cuisine of several Central European countries. I recommend the Bohemian Plate. It's very well hidden in the Masaryktown complex, which itself is on a non-well trafficked street - so a hidden gem. Parking can be limited.

I've been here a couple of times. A beautiful restaurant overlooking a park. It's hard to remember sometimes that you're still in the city. This cute little restaurant serves Easter European food. The staff are great and the service is very good. The portions are generous and the prices are good. This last time we split a wiener schnitzel and a dish that was a folded over potato pancake with beef goulash in it. Both were wonderful dishes. Finish off the evening with the jam filled crepes!

The service provided by Aleks, makes you want to go back for another visit. Excellent presentation and quality of the items ordered. The ambience of the place is perfect to celebrate any occasion. The dining area is spacious, reasonably quiet and warmly lit. The menu offered a vegetarian option and the prices were reasonable. A special note to acknowledge the restrooms were very clean as would be expected in a restaurant of this caliber. I look forward to visiting again.

Prague specializes in Czech food, enormous portions and friendly attentive service. The restaurant is just off Scarborough Golf Club road on the right as you’re driving south. The view from the patio in the summer is magnificent, with Linden and Willow trees framing a grassy parade square belonging to Masaryktown, the Czech ex-pat society. Food favorites include varieties of schnitzel, topinky (fried bread with raw garlic) and the Bohemian platter for two (pork chops, sausage, cabbage, sauerkraut and dumplings). A variety of Czech and standard beers are on tap. Have a wedding here and you can book the whole restaurant, quite reasonably. Do you want to support a local business? Start here. Highly recommended

First Rate Hidden Gem in the Scarborough Golf Club Area !! The description from the webpage says it all " A bohemian Czech and Slovak restaurant serving traditional meals in a casual country club setting overlooking the rolling hills of Masaryktown." A small group of foodies decided to band together one evening and descend on this intriguing place that was recommended by one of our group who, you guessed was from Eastern Europe and had eaten there many times. Our group was quite diverse as we had folks from all over the globe, Africa, Europe, the Middle East, Russia, regions of China, Korea, Taiwan, Canadian First Nations, and others, who for some had never had traditional Czech food before. Since we were a large group to make things easier for us and the staff, we had the great folks at Prague prepare a set menu for us. We had three choices each for the apps, mains, and desserts. I went for the lovely mixed greens, shaved beet and feta salad which was a flavor explosion with fresh veggies and a great dressing. Next was the mouthwatering creamy Beef Stroganoff, soft tender seasoned slices of beef of a bed of thick euro-style noodles with gently steamed yellow beans, and we finished with a wonderfully house-made crepe. I care not what the others had as I was focused on my meal and the lovely lady I was with. But from what I heard there were no complaints about the food and the many Czech beers we polished off. Prague is a great space with an outdoor patio, great for summer nights and cooler evenings. There is plenty of space in the elegantly designed interior and a full-service bar with typical alcohols, wines, Czech and North America beers, wines and specialty liqueurs. The Prague Restaurant has it all, ambiance, great food, great atmosphere, stunning views on the patio and world-class staff. Yes, Prague should be on every foodie's list as you will not be disappointed.

This is THE pace to go for pork or chicken schnitzel in Scarborough. It's one of the hidden gems that you absolutely need to try. I warn you – if you are a vegetarian, do NOT intend to eat there! We went to the restaurant for an evening full of entertainment and a special occasion dinner. We were warned by our friends not to order any food there, but because it was our very first visit there, we wanted to see from a first-hand (hoping that the rumors weren't true). It was not a good decision at all and we've learnt our lesson! As vegetarians, we were horrified by the quality and quantity of food provided. There was a big group of people sitting at our table, most of them meat eaters. Their portions were huge, they weren't able to finish their plates and asked them to pack it with them to take home. So we couldn’t believe our eyes when our plates were presented to us! The portions were smaller than kids’ portions at any of fast food restaurants and totally plain, no seasoning at all – just boiled cauliflower with boiled potatoes. The most boring dish you've ever seen, no creativity or love was invested into cooking it at all. And the price was a killer! It was only few bucks cheaper than the huge meat portions. It seemed like they didn't have enough of the veggies, so they were saving it for more potential vegetarian guests. Also, they advertised to serve a specific pastry at the event, which was partially a reason why we decided to even go there, as we love the pastry. But again, the cakes that were presented to us, where only poor imitations of the originals, as we know them from our grandmas. If we go there again (because of an entertainment), we will NEVER eat there!!

The Prague Restaurant has a unique Czech and Slovak menu, which my wife and I have not seen elsewhere, and their prices are reasonable. The restaurant is adequate for an evening out, however we found the service to be somewhat lacking and the wine list limiting. Since the food was delicious we will go back again to give The Prague another chance.

Wow! Have lived in Scarborough all my life and never knew about this restaurant. It has a wonderful ambiance, very friendly/professional staff and the food is delicious. It's located at 450 Scarborough Gulf Club Road in a quaint quiet nook, just off the main road. There is a lovely outdoors area to eat on nice weather days and the inside restaurant is very warm and welcoming. They offer a wide variety of scrumptious schnitzels, as well as other great specialties on their menu. In addition, I must mention how impressed we were with the thoughtfulness of the staff there. Upon being sat at our table, we were asked if we were celebrating anything special...we mentioned 2 birthdays not thinking anything of it. At the end of our meal, we were presented with 2 strawberry crepe birthday desserts decorated with candles! It was such a thoughtful surprise! This restaurant is definitely a place for people to check out! ????????????

Not 100% Czech menu (re:sweet potato fries), but we quite enjoyed it, the food was excellent, the service quite European and professional. I loved the quiet and natural atmosphere of the place, beautiful place. Few things:Please do not advertise Czechvar as the best Czech bear, in fact it is one of the worst, come on, you have Pilsner Urquell. I enjoyed having Pilsner Urquell from tap, but you might at least try for a proper foam hat. Other than that, we were very happy and we will come back when in Toronto.

Probably a restaurant with the best view in Scarborough. 80 seats. Their moderate portion size food has look and flavor of the old country, in this case, the Czech Republic. They serve excellent Czech beer as well. Good strudel that could profit from a bit of rum for baking.

Reallllly Nice! The park the restaurant is located into is a bonus! Perfect for a date, (there are weddings held here), as well as family (there is a kids menu) and friends -sure, why not. We ordered the number 1 for four people and added a beet salad on the side because we can’t eat from here and not get the beet salad. There was plenty of leftovers to enjoy on another night. The pickup was safe and simple. We will definitely be repeat customers and are happy to support local.

What a lovely Eastern European restaurant. Delicious home cooked comfort foods. Schnitzel, both pork and chicken are very good. The staff is wonderful, very friendly and courteous. I was so looking forward to eating here based on the high ratings posted. Sadly I was very disappointed. Although the place and the servers are lovely, the food was mediocre at best. I ordered the bramborak and goulash. The goulash was good but unfortunately was wrapped in a potato pancake that was made with oxidized shredded potatoes. Nothing more off putting then a black potato pancake surrounding your food. In my opinion such a rookie mistake that should have never left the kitchen. My daughter ordered the pork roast which was far from tender. The meat was fatty, tough and flavourless. Needless to say she didn't eat it. We also ordered the fried mozzarella (super greasy), schnitzel which was just ok and the pierogies which definitely were frozen. The place was empty which also was a turn off but not surprising. Very sad that this place was a let down as it is overall very nice and in a nice location. I wouldn't even give it a second chance. I would not recommend.

I have been here so many times and every time I have had a great experience. The food is very delicious. I love the garlic schnitzel. The portions are a good (big) size. The building is located in an excellent location with a nice view. One time we where out to dinner here and my friend suggested to me why don't I have my wedding here. After looking around at many banquets, this was definitely the best place as it feels really personal and warm with nice scenery. Not like all the banquets that are just a big huge box with 5 other weddings going on the same day in some industrial setting or right off a busy road. My wife and I had our wedding here and it was amazing. Thanks to all the staff at Prague!

Last week my family and I had a dinner at the Prague Restaurant. Last time we were there was about 4 years ago when we celebrated a birthday so it was about 15 of us. It was very disappointing last time as none of us liked the food. We heard it's under new ownership so we thought we give it another try. We are sure glad we did try it again. I had "koleno" which was delicious, the meat just falls of the bone. The other people in my group were also happy with their choices. The apple strudel is the best I had in a very long time (better than my mom's). We sure will be back. Mariana, I'm glad you took over as this is the only Czech restaurant in Toronto and surrounding area.

A few weeks ago, I visited the Restaurant with a friend of mine. The patio with the view On the park like garden is wonderful. Unfortunately, the food was below average, most disappointing. Appetizers breaded mushrooms – Waitress told us it would be 9 mushrooms but received only seven tasteless mushrooms. The Wiener schnitzel was much too thick, more like a breaded Pork Cutlet. Today August 6, 2017 we gave it another try. This time we ordered Roast pork, Sauerkraut and Dumplings with Gravy. Roast Pork was tough, dry and tasteless. Friend of mine left half of it. Dumpling were 4 slices of what looked and tasted like white bread. Supposed Gravy was like a soup broth. I cannot recommend eating in that Restaurant, for sure I never will eat there again. Service was friendly and the Czech beer was excellent. I would recommend that the Owner hires a Cook who can prepare some simple and tasty meals. Not difficult to make a good Wiener schnitzel.

Had a wonderful dinner here on a Friday night. The service was great. The food was also very good. We ordered drinks and • PIEROGI (5pc) filled with potato & cheddar, topped with smoked bacon, crispy onions and sour cream. • BOHEMIAN PLATTER FOR TWO Wiener schnitzels, pork roast, Debreziner (pork) sausage, sauerkraut, red cabbage, dumplings, home fried potatoes, gravy and tartar sauce . It was a great way to try a bit of everything. We will definitely be going back and try the other dishes.

So glad the patio is open.Just in time for our sons birthday. Had the most wonderful time at the Prague restaurant. Delicious food, soothing music, watermelon mojito and sumptuous schnitzel/Goulash. The staff was very thoughtful and got our son a dessert with a candle (on the house). Must visit if you haven't already !!

My friends and I went last wk. Was sadly disappointed. My schnitzel was lacking flavor, my garlic mashed was less than good as well no flavor and lumpy. 2 of our friends got there desert and we got our as they were finishing theres. Small eastern European restaurant hidden behind a retirement home. Decor is a bit dated (but I do love the Alphonse Mucha prints on the wall). This is the place to come for schnitzel, goulash, dumplings and a wealth of other Czech and Slovak dishes. Excellent value, friendly and courteous staff. Spacious patio overlooking a park. Dinner for 3 with drinks and tip - $100. Recommended!

I had my birthday dinner at Prague restaurant with my son and his family. The meals were excellent, very tasty and portions generous. We got complimentary Becherovka from the owner (Martin Rejzek) which was very sweet of him. Kids loved this place because there is a lot of things to look at (beautiful decorations and photografs by Martin from around the world) and thus were not bored as in other restaurants. I can recomment this place to anybody, celebrations or just an intimate dinner with a friend.

Went to this place based on the reviews. Did not disappoint! Food was cooked perfectly and seasoned just right. Ordered the blue cheese schnitzel, was tasty and the sauerkraut was good as well. Beautiful views of the golf course, definitely coming back here in summer for the views. Service was excellent and the food came out quickly. It's hidden so the place was quiet which is nice for a change on the weekend.
